I purchased a House of Quirk sofa cover from Myntra on July 24th for ₹3000. I returned it on July 26th because it didn't fit my sofa. I returned it in its original condition with all the thermocol sticks and the carton. The delivery boy picked it up successfully, but he threw the carton outside the lift area and spit on it. I don't know what he did with the sofa cover. I didn't receive a message confirming the pickup until that night, which made me suspicious because generally messages came after 1-2 hrs only. Also if there is a mismatch or anything, the pickup boy checks verified at the main gate and he has the full right to refuse the article if it does not match or if any tag is missing. But here he picked it successfully as it matches everything in the same packing which came and also he matches tags and everything he verified. When I went outside in the evening, I saw the carton with spit on it. Later that night, I got a message saying the return had failed the quality check.
I called customer care multiple times, and they assured me it would be resolved by August 3rd. Two days later, the delivery boy came back to return the cover, but I refused to take it back as I didn't know what had happened to it in the last two days and I returned it in same condition in which I got it. I am not responsible for anyone's behavior and obvsly I will not track the pick up boy till the warehouse. I called customer care again, and they reassured me it would be taken care of. However, two days ago, I received a message saying the return was rejected.
When I called customer care, Pinky from the team told me my only option was to retake the cover. I called customer service again today, and they reiterated that was my only option. Do I need to take responsibility for the delivery boy's behavior?
Nandita ma'am(CEO of mynta), I emailed her multiple times but didnt get a response. This is a critical issue for customers, and due to the negligence of the delivery boy, I am the one suffering. Can you please look into this as a priority and provide my refund as soon as possible? I also want to inform you that I will not be buying anything from Myntra again due to the lack of support from the team and the irresponsible behavior of the pick up person, which has caused me to suffer. Please process my refund as soon as possible.
Customer care, I request you tp please look into thisas they have pciked the cover and also not refunded my money. I am feeling very helpless here.
