I had taken a OVERSEAS MEDICLAIM BUSINESS AND HOLIDAY POLICY(HOSPITALISATION BENIFIT POLICY) bearing #[protected] from NEW INDIA ASSURANCE Co ltd, T'Nagar Office Chennai valid for the period[protected] to 8-9-2012. The INSURED PERSON was myself KUMARAN VAIDYANATHAN. The policy provided the following definitions. HERITAGE is Heritage Health SErvices Private Ltd who provides assistance to the insured person while in India.Thir Regd Office is Mcleod House, 3, Netaji Subhash Road, Kolkata-700 001. Tel:[protected]. The frontline office address is Unit 28, Ground Floor, T.V.Industrial Estate, Hind CycleRoad,Worli Mumbai. Tel:[protected]. CORIS is Coris International who provides emergency assistance and claims administration Services. They have an office in Florida, US.A.

I had taken treatments while in U.S. for two cases bearin #s 112929 and 114237. In the second mentioned case, when I had to take a MRI SCAN at Princeton Radiology in July 2012, the institute had taken an undertaking from my son GAUTAM KUMARAN that his credit card will be debited in case CORIS does not settle their dues. CORIS had not settled their dues till end of Sept. I had left U.S. After that my son received a notice that CORIS had not paid up and thay my son had to make good. Having come back to India, I sent e mails and spoke to Heritage and its manager Sri ATUL PARAB at Mumbai. It took several phone calls and time for me to get through to Sri Parab. He condescended to reply my e mail only after I spoke to his boss Sri S.Mukherjee at Kolkata. Finally on 9th October Heritage sent a mail to Coris asking them to settle the claim of Princeton Radiology and also reimburse claims on the two cases to my son GAUTAM KUMARAN in New Jersey.

Despite that CORIS did not settle the claim of Princeton Radiology. My son received a FINAL NOTICE from them on[protected] threatening him that his credit standing in U.S. will de tarnished for SEVEN YEARS if the claim is not settled in 14 days' time. Again I spoke to Sri Parab and sent E mails to him. I also spoke to CORIS in U.S. and finally they sent a cheque to Princeton Radiology. This much about the drama on my case 114237.

Then to my horror I found that my son did not receive the cheques for reimbursement on claims. When I checked up with CORIS , I found that they had sent it to an address where my son was living in 2010 though they had his current address on their data files. I sent a e mail to Sri Parab to direct CORIS to take corrective action.When I spoke to him today, Sri Parab refused that they have any responsibility to me as a customer on this issue and that I have to talk to CORIS.

CMD, New India Assurance has the primary responsibility having issued a policy. Heritage are the franchisee or Associate--whatever name you may refer to them by. I am shocked to find HERITAGE telling me that THEY HAVE NOTHING to do with CORIS and I HAVE TO FEND FOR MYSELF. THIS IS THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF ARROGANCE DISPLAYED BY A FRANCHISEE/ASSOCIATE OF A PUBLIC SECTOR INSURANCE COMPANY.

I have undergone untold mental agony because of the indifference and inordinate delay by HERITAGE in replying to correspondence from CORIS and consequently contributing to damage to reputation of my son.

Please take up this matter with CMD, NEW INDIA ASSURANCE and get a clear statement on the responsibilities of Heritage.

I am posting this so that other customers can be well informed of what they are in for when having business with NEW INDIA ASSUANCE and HERITAGE.

    I took a medical insurance from above mentioned company in begining 2008 and for almost two years I never had any claim on it. In the month July 2009, in a routine check up my doctor observed some changes in my ECG and I was recommended angiography which indicated blockages in heart arteries. I was asked to go for a by pass surgery immediately which was done in Aug 2009. When, after the surgery, I submitted the claim it was declined by New India Assurance Co saying that it was a non disclosure at the time of applying for insurance.

    How could have I disclosed it when I had never seen a cardiologist in my life before July 2009. This was also mentioned in the medical history and discharge summary that was given by Appolo Hospital where the surgery was conducted.Ii had this surgery after almost two years of taking this insurance. One logical aspect in this case is that I could have not waited for almost two years and risked my life by having heart attack. My cardiologist said that my case is a typical case of silent schemia where some times there are no symptoms.

    I, as an Indian expatriate based in the U.A.E. had several options for insurance from off shore companies but for patriotic reasons I opted for New India Assurance. However, this was the way I was treated by this company. They had no intension to pay the claim and therefore came up with unjustified excuse to go of the risk.

      Dear Sirs,
      I am owner of tvs scooty and take insurance and paid regularly since from 2002.
      My daughter was met withe accident on thee date of 19the July, 2012 and I had made claim and submit necessary document.
      They reject thee claim on thee ground theat Licence is given for 50cc or below vehicle and scooty is 60cc vehicle.
      Now a days Licence autheority is giving license contain witheout gearless and not mention any particular cc as theere is none of vehicle in thee market who is below 50cc.My daughter was take license on theis (scooty Vehicle), and Licence autheority gave thee license.
      I approach to claim hub incharge for pass my claim and submit my motheer's license theat now a days License autheority gave license only witheout gear but theey are not agree withe us and not reject thee same.

      Now I have to go furtheer in court or upper level as i am regular client of new India insurance and never claim before. We had claim for Rs. 3090.
      We have paid regularly premium and paid excess of my claim.

      The New India Assurance Co. Ltd — policy certificate not received

      please refer your letter no.: MrtFreAppApr00194 dated[protected], i had purchased a medi claim policy bearing no.712500/00809/MGAPR09. till date i have not received policy certificate from The NEW INDIA ASSURANCE CO. LTD

        My sister has mediclaim policy of New India Assurances co.ltd. since last fifteen years. She Was operated for ( Removal of by polar implant right leg) on 27th March 2012 at Inlaks Genral Hospital Chembur Mumbai. We Submitted all the relevant papers to the insurance co. on 07th May 2012 at the Thane office.
        So far we have not received the claim amount and whenever we call up the company they are saying the TPA E- Meditek has not given the papers. we were asked call up to them and ask them for it. When we called up the TPA they say the papers are ready they will send in few days they even gave us the claim no. and claim amount details as Rs. 96,000/-.But so far they have not sent the papers to insurance co.
        There seems to be some problem between the two organization, as a result of this my sister is suffering. My sister is a handicapped retired person and is finding it difficult to meet her post operative treatment. Our constant followup is not yielding any result and I am forced to take up this matter with you.

          Hi,

          I am Usmanali Sayed, I had applied for medi claim reimbursement of my wife hospitalization on may 2012.
          I have submitted all require document along with the original medical reports and bills for the claim.
          In the reply MD India the third party which is appointed by" The New India Assurance Company Limited"
          Ask me to Submit Age proof and the Biopsy report of my wife.
          Though the Age mentioned in the policy is 9yrs and the Age as per claim document was 31 yrs.
          In reply i told them that the age mentioned 9 yrs in the policy is incorrect and the BIOPSY was not done so there was no question of submitting BIOPSY report because no where in the report or in the discharge card BIOPSY was mentioned.
          I provided them age proof of my wife and the original reports and bill were already with them.

          Since then i have been following them on mail , I get the same reply , That Our processing team is working on your request, kindly allow us some more time. We will update you within 7 working days. We will revert you upon the same on priority.

              i have loged complaint in the new India assurance co ltd do-320100 toward fraud by kapil batra (Development officer)sr no-31444 do-320100 azadpur delhi.my undert after lodge my above complaint there have not taken any action against him and inform him about my complaint to to since him & hide their evidence from his residence pitam pur and shop at paschim vihar . so I humbly request you to please take necessary action against him at earliest. After my first complaint my d.o.kapil batra sr. no-31444 are till picking private insurance company client insurance premium cheq through individual, self as well. He is also trying to contact ra claint by phone. After my complaint he is trying to break my clientage & add in their brother agency. (atul batra agent code-71693) &(rajeshwar kr hasija agent code-71722) So I wish to inform you that I am lousing my business from my clientage & also loss of new india assurance co. ltd. So in costly you are requested that please take a neccary action to avoided my harassment. Please at the needful & confirm.

                I wish to draw your attention towards some facts which indicate that the precious money of the organization is being misused for the last one year.
                The expenses towards office maintenance have been inflated, specially in repair/replacement of electrical fittings.
                The expenses towards printing of office stationery have gone manifold.
                Travelling expenses of sunil dabas(A.O)D.O-320100 NIA A-2 lusa tower azadpur delhi are submitted & sanctioned regularly to pay the wages of TWO outsider person hired for official work.(approximate Rs-10,000/ to 20000/-) The travelling details i.e. time & dates can be checked with the login time & date in the CWISS system.
                In the last one year or so, the bills for courier have been inflated drastically, which can be checked & compared with the previous corresponding year.
                The bills for new toners for printers are being passed whilst no such new toners are installed in the printers. Only refilled toners are used and the bills for refilling of toners are also exaggerated manifold.
                All the computer system & printers are being repaired by the local repairer which has caused maximum damage to the instruments.
                The office is kept open in the evening upto 7-9.30 pm and that too to facilitate only sunil dabas (a.o) who does not allow anybody else to remain in the office after office hours. One day he had threatened me and abused me for staying in the office and when I requested for allowing me to work, he hit me badly and the matter was reported to the P.S. Adarsh Nagar, where he apologized & promised not to repeat the behavior. Sr. DM & other officers are witnesses to this incident.
                The management seems to be hand in glove with this sunil dabas and too much public`s precious money is being wasted & misused for personal gains & favors.
                It is requested that the above facts should be minutely investigated and suitable actions taken against the erring officials.

                  My wife was hospitalised for treatment of viral meningitis and discharged on 09/02/2012. I have mediclaim floater policy no.131200/34/11/04/0000001 (Membrship No. [protected]b) of Rs. 5,00,000/- with New India Assurance Co. Ltd. I submitted claim for Rs. 1,54,189/- to Mediclaim TPA at Khar branch on 23/02/2012.

                  I did not receive any communication from New India Or Medicare TPA till one month. On telephonic enquiry after one month with Medicare TPA, I was informed that my claim was passed on 03/03/2012 for Rs. 1,48,000/- and will receive the amount within ten days.

                  But every time even till today when I ask on telephone they keep on telling the cheque will be dispatched to you within 10 days but their 10 days never get completed.

                  I have made nearly 40 to 50 calls to Medicare TPA. I have sent 7 emails to Medicare TPA. I have also sent following emails to New India Assurance Co.RTI Dept.

                    IT TAKE ME TWO DAYS TO DO ALL THIS. AFTER THAT I HAVE SUBMITTED ESTIMATE ALONGWITH OTHER DOCUMENT ON 15.05.12 AT 11.00 AM. AND WAITING TILL NOW SO AS THE SURVIVOR ALLOW ME TO RECTIFY MY VEHICLE.
                    THIS IS SINGLE VEHICLE I OWN FOR WHICH I USED TO PAY RS. 49150/-(APP.)
                    AS MONTHLY INSTALLMENT. APART FROM IT I HAVE TO BEAR THE COST OF DRIVERS AND HANDIMAN.
                    ALSO, I HAVE TO ARRANGE SUCH A HUGE AMOUNT WHICH IS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME STILL I AM DOING MY PART. BUT IF THE PROCESS WAS DELAY LIKE THIS FOR THE SURVIVOR I DON,T KNOW HOW SHOULD I PAY THE INSTALLMENT ALONWITH THE COST OF DRIVER AND HANDIMAN.
                    ALREADY I HAVE PUT LOT OF MONEY IN LIFTING AND BRINGING THE VEHICLE TO GARAGE. AND IF THE DELAY LIKE THIS PERSIST IT WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO SURVIVE.

                      My house @ bhachau, kutch got damaged on account of earthquake tremors, I am policy holder of New India Assurance Co. Ltd..Policy No. 211600/11/05/02604. I approched the company office at Gandhidham (policy issuing office) to claim for the damage. We had some of the documents and some didnt. They asked us to submit one or the other documents everytime we approached them. Still our issue is pending. Kindly guide me as to what should be my next step.

                          After reporting to the police station & the insurance co about this incedent they asked use for many documents which we were having and some other documents which we were not having but it took some time to arrange those documents after this the inssurance co asked for some other documents like NCRB reports ,report from the local police station that the truck is not yet traced so we arranged even that report but still this co has not yet cleared our case and not giving us the proper answer regardind the status of our clame till today at 23/03/2012 so what should we do ?

                          In Sept'2010, I was hospitalized for treatment of malaria. I had informed my insurance agent to follow up and do the necessary procedure. However, he forgot to inform the TPA [Medi Assist]. After submission of claim, it got denied mentioning that no intimation was given within 7 days of hospitalization. What should be done in such case? Is there a way to put legal dispute for the same?

                            After some time there is a keypad problem in the laptop , so I have
                            repaired it rupees 3700 , as well as also contacted insurance company
                            in policy period date[protected] . They also came and approved my
                            claim and also tell that you will receive claim benefit amount in
                            short time . But still today , after 1 year , I do not have received
                            my claim amount .
                            I have contacted insurance agent Mr. Sharma ([protected]) , also
                            contacted college , but there is not satisfactory answer . They told
                            me 2 wait every time . But 1 year is too much to wait . I have wasted
                            so much time and calls also . Now I want to take streak reaction by
                            your organization , So , they can't cheat anyone .

                              This is for your kind information that one car hit my scooter from the back side on 1st feb 2012 (Wednesday) at model town ring road at 6. 30 p. M. Which causes breakage 0f kik shaft and gear box, some body damages and other damages found on the opening of the engine. On 6th feb 2012 (As i was not able to move for 4 / 5 days) at 11 p. M i informed this information to your toll free no [protected] and i was given one telephone no. 23705789 of mr. B. P. Yadav. But that was nor responding. After that i talked to your agent ms. Madhu soni (Ag[protected] / mr. . Vinod soni vide mob. No. [protected] and also mr. Nirmal singh vide mob. No. [protected] and forwarded complete detail with necessary documents through mail vide [protected]@gmail.com as given by mr. Vinod soni.
                              But there was no visit of surveyor till 15thfeb 2012. Finally on 16thfeb 2012 i had to repair my scooter engine parts only as it was not kept open for long period and also it was needed too for my job.
                              Now on 1st march 2012 one deputed surveyor mr. Neeraj kumar vide mob. [protected] visited me and survey the damaged scooter. But scooter was already repaired from the engine side. Further he refused to take survey of the already repaired engine.
                              I hereby want to know why this was not approved, as this was delayed from your branch office side not deputing / sending surveyor within 24 hours of the complaint. In fact ! This is all done intentionally to delay for survey of the damaged scooter and not to give claim. . Which spoiling the faith in your company.
                              So kindly look into the matter and please approve my claim at your earliest. Otherwise i have to forward my request / complaint to consumer court.

                                  I am working with an organisation called Spectrum Scan Pvt Ltd and we have a medical group insurance done through New India Assurance. My dad was hospitalised and i had send the claim form and all relevant documents (including the pending and query documents) to New India Assurance office in the first week of September. I have been reguraly following up with Mr. Pradip Mandani and following up with them on the status and every time i get a reply that the documents are with the team of experts and pending for a final check and that they would get back to me in a couple of days. I must have called them atleast 50 times in the last 3 mths and i keep getting the same status. Request you to kindly look into the matter and help me in getting my claim at the earliest.

                                    I had submitted a claim in the month of August 2011 for Rs 64668.00 at TTK Healthcares (Which is the TPA for New India assurance) Bangalore office for the surgery I undergone at Columbia Asia Hospital,Hebbal,Bangalore.After few days I got a cheque for Rs 13500.00 only towards my claim.
                                    They have completed ignored my claim of Rs 35500 towards my surgery which is major part of my expense.I am enclosing herewith the bills again.Please see very carefully page 4 of the list.You will have this in my original bill submitted to them.
                                    I went to their Bangalore office again .They told me my claim is genuine and told me to contact their Chennai office.Then I sent a mail to TTK Chennai office. From them also I received negative reply.
                                    If they can not pay,why the policy assured amount is for Rs 50000.Make it Rs 13500.And take less premium from me.
                                    All these are frauds.Hope you will do the needful. I have given them all details.I have written atleast 10 times to New India assurance.They are yet to reply to me.They are all making fool of the public.These fraud companies to be brought to book.

                                      The reason of my complaint is that up to now we gets no claim. company said it is the matter of total loss, but upto now we gets nothing & the whole of my family is in hospital for 5 months. Upto now 7to 8 lakhr rupees has been spent in medicine. All documents related to insurance & medical are send to new india insurance company with the photographs of accident.
                                      This is 3rd time when i complain you. but upto now nothing action has been taken.

                                        I was with TCS till November 30 2010,and before that I had submitted the Hospital Claim(RS : 29805).

                                        When I contacted MediAssist for my claim status,they are saying as per policy of TCS "once you resign from the organization,you will not covered under insurance."I did not see any rule like above said in TCS insurance ploicy

                                        But I have paid premium for entire year,how come I will not cover under insurance.
