This is to request a halt for the train no:s 6527/6528 Yeshwantpur-Cannanore express in Banaswadi Rly station.

This is the only train from north kerala(malabar) to bangalore and this train halts in only one station which is in the extreme corner of Bangalore. Actually this train passes through Banaswadi railway station. So we are just requesting for a stop in this station so that the passengers belong to north bangalore do not have to travel to Yeshwantpur which will take almost 2 hours due to traffic.

Already there have been many request and strikes happened for this however, they do not stop that train in banaswadi. A rumour is there that the private buses plying from banaglore to malabar are bribing them not to allow a station in banaswadi.

Please look in to this issue as therre are many people who are dependent on this train as this is the only one train to malabar region

My Brother booked parcel from Gowhati(Assam) to Bangalore from last one month back. Still we havn't recieved our parcels. We informed Supervisor in bangalore but no use we are not recieving proper reply from them.

I am trying the nos of yashwantpur railway station, but no response.This is really pathetic.
Nos are:[protected] and[protected].
I booked parcel (receipt no A 258035)in the name of Avinash Mishra on dated 11/6/09 by rapti sagar, from yashwantpur to kanpur central.For query point of view I am tryimg to contact the officials of station.But no response.The parcel belongs to Defence and it is very secret in nature.
Please make sure of proper handling and dispatch.

Well its the bus lobby that has come way for stopping station at banaswadi. cos they will lose revenue if there is a station at banaswadi . And they are paying a hefty amount to the palghat/salem division of railways every months so as to sabotage the train. if train is made to run every day the bus operators will vanish like the operators of calicut to bombay. so hope thinking of the plight of the travelers of malabar the government will intoduce train everyday from malabar to bangalore. i am wondering why government is keeping quiet. well do the public know who owns AlHind Travels and PK travels which runs bus daily to banglore. well then there r there to stop the yeshwantpur train from kannur
2678, 6525, 0792, 2678, 6316, 2683, 6322, 6316 these r the trains running from ernakulam side to bangalore so why dosent people of malabar have the privilege to have a daily train to bang lore, r they lacking anyting.??? why is the government so in different ?????? can any body give an answer
Agreed fully with the complaint - we need a stop at Banaswadi Rly station for Train No 6527/6528 Yeshwantpur-Cannanore express.

Southern Railway, please do the needful. Also requesting daily train services.
i totally agree with this.. there shud be a stop in banaswadi or city station for this train goin to calicut.. to go all the way till yeshwantpur in taxi consumes time and money.. from city it takes almost 400 bucks for taxi.. where the charge for sleeper class in train comes jus 320 !!! this is insane.. plz look into this. and do the needfull !!
I also agree with this. railways has to allow a stop in Banaswadi and it will help hundreds of passengers north kerala who abandoned this train after the Banaswadi stop/halt was removed. This is not going to cause the railways any extra cost but will increase the revenues bcos more passengers will make use of the train. More are more passengers are using their private cars to travel to Kerala due to lack of trains/stops and this is increasing the pollution levels and congestion in the city. Please consider this request and provide a speedy resolution
I definitely agree and strongly favour that there should be a stop at Banswadi station, i frequently do keep traveling to kerela and to board this train i have to travel from one side of bangalore to the other side to do this. I live close by to Banswadi railway station, train halting at this station would definetely be convinent to me and to many more people who stay this of Bangalore.

I am working in ITPL and i am basically from kannur.If i come from hometown the only station is there in yeswanthpur..i have to travel from yewswanthpur to ITPL, it will take more than two hours.It will be helpful if the train has stop at banaswadi...this will be helpful for so many people working in ITPL, whitefield side...
Definitely, teh bus lobby is preventing a daily train from north kerala to bangalore and stop at banaswadi.
Even the Kerala minister for railway development had to make this comment. No use having a Malabar person as Rly minister of state!
They are back again with their dirty political game on cannannore yeswanthpur express.
Form july01 onwards. They are removing 10 stations including banaswadi, carmel ram & my home station tellicherry.
People from malabar will lose the train(it is as equal as losing) from july 01
All dirty polititians are happy who get money from private bus owners to get this done.
we need more trains to cannanore side because more people are from tht side who are settled in bangalore
Is this site just for looking or any benefit in telling all these what is going around us?
In ottapalam railway station a fraud is collecting money from people who comes in vehicles without receipt, any uniform, no id card, and also making noise to the customers, telling very ugly words and collecting money by attack, also looks like a " gunda' i think he is a valuable person for southern railway, Please promote him

    Respected Sir,

    I am a passenger travelling from Kodambakkam to Thiruvanmaiyur,
    When I asked for the First class season from Kodambakkam to thiruvanmaiyur. I was informed that there is no first class in the
    Beach<-> Velachery route, Then I was also provided with two season tickets one for first-class from Kodambakkam to beach
    And another second class season for beach till thirvanmaiyur .
    Even if I get the first –class season for the Beach<-> Velachery route we have to travel only in the second class compartments
    As Once in a blue moon this 9 car comes in that route .

    I was also informed that even if the car in that Beach<-> Velachery route trains have first-class board any passenger can board the
    Car .

    Normally 6 car Trains will not have a car for First class in that route, today it happened that it was a 9 Car train which had first-class
    As there was a heavy rush many people got into the first-class car .

    Ticket examiner started querying the passengers why did you get into this First-class car ?

    • My understanding here is whenever there is a route with no first class ticket, or season issued then all the cars in the train in that route
    Is open to all people those who are holding second class ticket /Season .

    Or
    • the railways should not ply a 9 car train which has first-class car in it to that specified route

    Or
    • the ticket examiners should be kept informed about this

    This situation was totally embarrassing


    Please consider this as a high priority and take a necessary actions in this case

      I am a regular passenger of Train no 6714 Rameshwaram Express between Vriddhachalam and Chennai. I board this train at Vriddhachalam, every Monday morning. The coaches are always dusty. I thought the Indian Railways only runs for passengers, but this train also carries rats, bed insects etc. Every time I am suffering with the same problem. I have taken up this issue with the Coach Attendant each time I travel, but, the end result is the same.

      I traveled in the train number 6609 ( Coimbatore Exp) from NCJ to TUP dated[protected] in S 8 Coach.

      I found plenty of cockroaches and few rats in the compartment.

      Really the journey becomes horrible.

      Please do the needful and rectify the problem.

        Tambaram Station Parking charges

        Tambaram Railway Station reservation counter parking charges are too high just for 30 mints (which is the minimum time for booking ticket) we need to pay RS:10 for the two wheeler's which is very very high and the person who is collecting money is arrogent and rog guy. He convey all the people who asked about the high parking charges like me was getting lot of scolding from him. He conveyed one more information that person who took contracts...

        Hi! my recent experience is nothing short of nightmarish. I'm Dr. Mahalakshmi,
        I had booked two First class AC e-tickets from Kumbakonam to Chennai in Rockfort express on 27/01/09 for travel on 1/2/09, for me and my 83-year-old blind father-in-law. Since it was in waiting list status, (W/L 4 and 5) I arranged for EQ to be released for these tickets at Trichy. PNR [protected].

        My ticket got confirmed in 2 AC, (which I came to know later through the Tanjore station master), which I was not updated at Kumbakonam because of system failure, but I had the mobile update on my pnr, which stated that EQ has been released. So we boarded the train as per schedule at 7:45 p.m. and informed the attendants about the EQ release and non listing of our names in the Firstr AC chart. We were asked to wait till TTE takes charge at Papanasam, which I did.

        To my utter shock and horror, he was so indifferent and unwilling to accept the facts and refused to check out on the updated PNR status of my ticket. According to him, E-ticket was "just a piece of paper unless confirmed", and mobile confirmation was "just beyond him", he couldn't care any less. He was already thrown in as a "last minute substitute for his absentee colleague and already had his hands full." It was "none of his business to run through the pages of his chart to locate our confirmation", and if our names are not in the First AC list, then we are "traveling Ticketless."

        When I pleaded that we be allowed to travel till Trichy, at least in the Sleeper class, where he could check for himself the EQ release, he said he could be penalized by the squad. Not taking into consideration that I'm traveling alone with an 83-year-old blind man, he unceremoniously dumped us in the next station, at Tanjore, threatening to penalize us if we don't comply.

        I immediately brought this to the notice of the Station Master at Tanjore, who telephonically confirmed our 2 AC reservation and advised us that we could still catch the same train at Ariyalur. Since it was unsafe to travel on road at that part of the night, alone in an unknown place, and also because of my aged, blind father-in-law, I declined the offer. Also, there was no guarantee that we would reach Ariyalur in time and even if we do, we might run into the same wretched TTE, who might again confront us, I was not inclined to take the risk. So he advised us to take a local train to Trichy, where we might find some help. As for the refund of the Rs.2000/-, he said it would be automatically remitted to my A/c, as it is an e-ticket.

        After much hardship we reached Trichy past midnight, and tried various trains till about
        3:30 a.m in vain. Finally we were forced to take a rickety old bus to Chennai in the morning. Reached home at noon today (2/1/09).

        All these 20 hours of ordeal just because of one inhuman, insensitive, technophobic , who could not flip few pages of his chart!! Why at all Railways should still have such prehistoric animals on its roll is something I fail to understand.

        The story is far from over. IRTC site shows my e-ticket as confirmed, hence no refund has been made. Also please let me know why I should not take up this case with the consumer court for blatant negligence and dereliction of duty? I guess we should be entitled not just for the refund of ticket amount, but also deserve to be duly compensated by the Southern railways.

          While travelling from Trichy to Tambaram in Guruvayur express on 19th January, we face lots of inconvenience in the D2 reserved Coach.
          1. TTR did not check the ticket. No sign on Ticket is an evidence, for which a copy can be sent.
          2.Many Passengers without Ticket and who had not reserved had got into the coach.
          3. Not able to use the Toilet during the 8 Hours journey because of People crowded near doorways, sitting on floor.
          4. Not able to stretch our legs even.
          5. Lots of ticketless passengers can enter the coach due to this and what is the use of making reservation in advance.
          6. We make reservationexpecting a comfortable journey.
          7. No place to keep our luggages.
          Action to be taken on the TTR as well as the Authorities responsible to avoid this nuisance in future.

          Dear sir,

          I'm an ordinary passenger of southern railway. I'm (N.Chellappa) residing at

          223 17th Street, TG Nagar, Nanganallur, Chennai - 61. I use season ticket

          for my travel to my office. My season ticket id no is H 082805. Last month

          ticket is valid from 11.01.2009 to 10.02.2009. Today morning i went to

          Palavanthangal railway station at 10.31am to buy the season ticket. At that

          time the clerk who is at the counter told that the time is over for getting the

          season ticket. I request him to issue the season ticket by explained my

          situation. But he did not mind my words. So i contacted the person who is in

          the office. He may be the manager or in charge of the office. I don't know

          who is he. I explained my problem with him he also not ready to give a

          solution. So i ask the complaint book to register my problem. He refused to

          give it. He told that my reason is not genuine. He threatened me that if i

          demand for complaint book FIR would be filed against me. I am helpless. I

          don't know what to do. I wish to know whether the public have right to get

          season ticket at any time while the counter opened. I believe that

          you will clarify the rules to me. If it is possible kindly make the necessary

          arrangements to issue the season ticket to the passengers all the time in all

          the stations wherever the computers are available . It will very useful to us.

          Kindly consider our problem.

          Kind Sir,

          I was doing a reservation at melmaruvathur railway station on Oct 31 2008, The counter clerk was very rude as he was very frustrated seeing passengers waiting in que even before he opened the reservation counter that morning.

          He also charged Rs 25/- per reservation ticket (two tickets for me costed Rs 50/-) said this is some kind of service tax and doesnot appear in the ticket. When argued he was insulting and swearing with bad words at passengers.

          Unfortunately Station Master was not available at that time to talk to, I'm unsure if the collection trend is still continuing.

          I am plannig to jurney from Chennai central station to Trichi station. What is the procedure to book the ticket online. I have tried the website but that is not inconvinient for me.

          Could i have the information and link for booking. Becouse, i don't know the exact station names and codes of the above destinations. In future i am plannig to traval through trains.

          All required reservations are in waiting lists.
          I am not able to book a ticket to go home.
          Its very difficult for an ordinary person to book a railway ticket now due to lack of availability.
          Its high time that railway has to increase the number of trains or atleast the number of compartmants in each train.

          I travelled with my family from Tutycorin to Chennai on 29 th December in 2 A/C by Pearl city express. (PNR [protected]). I had a horrible experiace as the sleepers were fulll of bed bugs and to my surprise the newly washed bed spreads also had the bed bugs. When asked the attend3ent, he called the contracter to change the bed spreads. The quality of wsahong and ironing also not satisfactory. becuase of bed bug bites my daughter had bad alergy. As we travel very frequent this route we experiance deteriation of quality of service. Can you please do the necessary and adress the issues.

            We travel at least once every month in train no 2664 TPJ-HWH SUPERFAST EXPRESS and in 2663 TPJ-HWH SUPERFAST EXPRESS . The mode of travel is either 3 AC or 2 AC, maximum in 3 AC. THE BEDROLL TOWEL COMPRISING OF TWO BEDSHEETS, ONE PILLOW, ONE BLANKET AND ONE HANDTOWEL which is supposed to be provided in all AC compartment (barring garibrath trains) is provided ALWAYS WITHOUT THE HAND TOWEL . Only on repeat request towel is given that too with great reluctance. SOMETIMES, NOT ALWAYS, THIS EXTEND TO THE BEDSHEET ALSO.
            Most of the times the attendant replies that they have not been supplied with sufficient quantity of towels.
            HAVING PAID FULL CHARGE FOR 3 AC FOR NO FAULT OF THE PASSENGER WHY IS THE PASSENGER DENIED THE RIGHT FOR WHICH HE /SHE IS ELIGIBLE FOR ?
            CAN THE AUTHORITIES LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND TAKE NECESSARY ACTION?

              I have booked a ticket through online booking (IRCTC) from Manapparai to chennai, travel date 18.01.09 for myself and my wife. Our ticket status was WL1 and WL2 before chart preparation. When i checked with the station master in manapparai, he told us that there is no computer to check the ticket status. so i boarded the pandiyan express train on that day. when i asked the TTR whether my ticket is confirmed, he told us that the ticket is cancelled and asked us to get down or pay a sum of Rs.1148. when i asked the station master in trichy, he too told us the same. i was asked not to board the train otherwise i will be handed over to the police. then i boarded a bus and came to chennai. when i checked my account in IRCTC website, i found that my ticket was confirmed and we have got berth in S7 coach (77 and 78). i dont note down the name of the TTR whose irresponsible behaviour has made me lose my money and time

                I am travelling now on the 0677 Yeswanthpur - Kochuveli Garib Rath. We left on time at 9pm yesterday (13th Jan 09). Its now 11am and the train is still in Ernakulam town. The train as per the timetable is supposed to reach kottayam at 9.25 am.
                The train is running at a speed of 30KMph and is stopping at all railway stations. Its nothing but a pathetic local passenger train with AC.

                The Indian railway does not have any respect for the passengers time.

                I was impressed when I got into the train . Now I amfustrated the way this train is travelling.

                CAn the railways lookinto this and enlighten me why this is happening.

Letter No. A3324 dt. 21 Oct 08. So far neither any intimation nor any refund has been received from the Southersn Railways. Kindly help me in this regard for further course of action.

Letter No. A3324 dt. 21 Oct 08. So far neither any intimation nor any refund has been received from the Southersn Railways. Kindly help me in this regard for further course of action.

                  I have booked the return ticket from Tuticorine to chennai on 28.9.09 and the ticket has not been confirmed on 28.9.09 (PNR No[protected]. we checked the status through online and we tried to cancel the ticket at nearest rly station at tiruchendur but the counter at tiruchendur has closed at 5.30pm. we enquired the same counter and they asked us to go to tuticorine Rly station on 29.9.09. we went to Tuticorine on next day but they not cancelled.

                  We tried the same in chennai mylapore Rly station but they also not cancelling.

                  Rly dept getting lot revenue and this chilly amount can be refund...

                    When a passengers travels through Indian Railway by e ticket mode, they have to produce original identity proofs to the TTR. If some one fails to show the original proof, then they will be treated as "travelling in the train without ticket" - If a passenger forget to have the originals or lost it while travelling and having photo copy of the originals, in this case can't the passenger proove his identity with these photo copies. because the passenger is having original ticket and photo copies of proof and he is asking the railway authority that if they want the original that can be provided in the source station instead of destination station with the help of family member. - i come acorss this kind of situation, where i am not given a change to proove myself, and i was fined Rs.165o, where my tickets costs Rs.484, which is being booked one month before. even in criminal cases laws are giving chance to victims, but for a passenger who is having original ticket, original credit card and photo copy of driving license was not given a chance. I would like to know to whom i have to escalate it.

                    Even i have faced the same problem recently when I was travelling from Bangalore to Tuticorin. Two of the TC's on the train agreed with me when I showed them my DL copy and later original VISA photo card. Even after that i was fined Rs.1209 at the Tuticorin rly station. The TC's were not at all co-operating with this issue even after i told them that two of the TC's had cleared in the train. This is really pathetic. I have written to the customer care, railways for an explanation and refund.
                    i travelled from trichy to tindivanam. I had booked e-tikcet. While travelling TTR asked a proof. I showed my photo copy of driving license. But he refused to accept it and fined. He want to show original DL. How is it possible to carry the all original id proofs. In DS having my photo and address and everthing then why they are accepting as valid id proof.

                    If i carry original DS or PAN card and i missed it. It is difficult to get it again. Thats why all are maintaining a photo copy of id proof. Please consider this and allow photo copy of DS, PAN card, voters id or passport.
                    i booked five ticket through e-ticket on 04/03/10.I didn't get ticket but my amount was deteced in my account. How can i refund my money. what is the terms and conditions.
                    I was traveling on March 15, 2010 from Mysore to Chennai in the Train No.6221 with my family. I went Mysore for a holiday and due to urgent message I had to return back to Chennai. I booked tickets through IRCTC website in A.C. 3 tier Sleeper class, PNR No. [protected] and PNR No. [protected] for my family (split tickets this was in Takkal quote to ensure confirm berth for my wife and daughter).

                    Since I was on holiday, I did not carry proof as mentioned in ERS but I was having photo identification on my credit card with my signature. Further, when tickets are booked the SMSs came to my mobile No. to give enough evident that I am the same person whose name tickets are issued.

                    The T.T. had misbehaved with me and with my wife. Further, he allotted my berth (B1 seat No. 47) to other passenger and asked me to pay either Rs. 3300 with receipt or Rs. 1500 without receipt. Alternatively, he asked me to go the Sleeper class so that he can sell these berth to other passenger. In the mid night he called police in the Bangalore stations and pushed me to go the sleeper class.

                    I wish to know the following:

                    1) When I am buying the tickets through IRCTC website, which is government website and SMS has to come me mobile and I have shown credit card with my photo and signature, then why this can not be treated as identification?

                    2) I should be asked to deposit refundable amount, and once I reach destination and when I can bring the proof to that reservation care centre, my money can be refunded. How can you treat some one without ticket just because the person has failed to provide identification at that point of time? More over penalty is also very huge.

                    3) How can a T.T. decide that If I go the Sleeper Class, then my mistake of not producing Ids as per ERS is ignorable or if I pay bribe to T.T.as he asked Rs. 1500 without receipt.
                    is there any delay in rockfort express today

                      I have been travelling often through southern Railways especially from Chennai to Salem.
                      The worst service which i never even heard in my life time.
                      TTR comes only to check the ticket and goes. There is no police men.
                      On one side due to winter or rain passengers close the windows. Passengers are started smoking inside the compartments. Ladies, patients, chidlren are suffering like any thing.
                      In the reserved compartments, ticketless, unreserved passengers are more than the authorised reserved ticket holders.
                      Passengers are not able to get their food because of heavy crowd? Passengers are not able to go for toilet or to wash their hands?
                      We see the foods but not able to get the same from the vendors inside the compartments. Even with great difficulties if you get food you cant eat because of such a heavy crowd.
                      Many passengers like patients, chidlren are suffering for breath because the whole crowd blocked the whole ventilation.
                      Railway is becoming so worse. All passengers are taking law in their hands, Railway has gone in to the hands of irresponbile persons.
                      I made so many attempts to see the Centrail Railway Station Master, We can meet and talk to the president of India but not with any Railwa Staff? They are holding such a top position in their office.
                      They should know their status, they are officiers only for their staff, for administrative reason they have been allotted some posts, that does not mean they have become a head of this country. They should come forward and listen to the grivenses of the guniene caseses.
                      Even there is no any indication in the ticket, about the phone number, email id with regard to any difficulties to the passengers, they get sponsorship fromt the companies and making money out of stationery. No one is looking after the welfare of the passengers.

                        the passengers who travelin the train between tambaram and chengalpattu suffer many inconveniences.this can be explained from the description of the following incident..on 21/11/08, i started from beach station and got down at tambaram station to catch the train to chengalpattu.the beach to tambaram trains pass in the platforms 1 and 2. the train to chengalpattu used to come in platform no 8 or 9. as usual after getting down in platform no 2 i went to platform no 8 and was waiting for the chengalpattu train(which also starts from beach station).like me many people were waiting. suddenly a train came in the platform no 6 and many ppl started going towards it. some how i managed to assume that it was the train to chengalpattu. most of the ppl started running and finally i reached the train and got in to the compartment and just then the train started.if i see this situation in a selfish manner nothing serious or inconvenience had happened. but as the train started i could see an old man who was carrying two baggages still running towards the train, an old woman inspite of her weak body trying to run faster to catch the train, a young woman who was carrying her two children showing signs of disgust in her inability to reach the train...and so on and on...such scenes.. what i suggest is that, why cant the officials be responsible and alert that the sweet recorded voice of the woman which announces the arrival and the departure of the trains in three languagesfor the trains which travel bw tambaram and beach for every 7 minutes was not able to make announcement of the information for the chengalpattu train for which the passengers had to wait for a minimum of 40 min if they miss one train..

                          Being a First Class Season Ticket Holder, I boarded front end first class compartment of MAS-NLR 13.45 local train at BBQ on 15.11.2008. One unscrupulous railway men was sleeing in the first class seat along with his wife. When I asked the railwayman's wife to spare the seat for sitting, the uncivilized railwaymen (his identity not known, but his two legs were amputated) suddenly started in high pitch with unfilthy words amids entire public as though I have done anything wrong. Clearly, he is not authorised to travel in the First Class compartment and people similar to him travel with his behaviour and create untold sufferings and hardships to gullible First Class Travellers like me. This is the perennial problem where authorities concerned take no action. Please do something in this regard or else things may go out of control.

                          Herewith I want to bring out the bad incident happened by the railway squad people while on journey on the train No 2661 Chennai- Sengottai express date on 15/3/09 at the
                          coach No S-2.One of the senior citizen couples were travelling from Chennai to Sengottai. They must have got the tickets through email ticket booking through his relative. He was checked and approved by the Coach TTE on 15/3/09 soon after the board at train at 21:30 Hrs with the valid Identity proof of his driving licence..But the awsem happened on the train when 2 to 3 Sqad members entered in to the coach when the train nearing to the City Rajpalayam.While on check theyn caught the old citizen passengers and scrolled them to pay the Rs- 1000/= as a penalty as they are not in the possession of valid Identity. Teh old man was shocked and he was about to cry. Then like me co passengers like me, we have checked up and asked the Squad opfficer that the previous day the Coach TTE checked the tickets with the same identity and allowed them to board in the coach.
                          For that the Squad Officer without himan being asked us not to interfear, otherwise I will call the RPF and hand over you all . Otherwise you all pay the amount . Being a Malaylee of the Squad Officer, he is not well versioned of Tamil Language and uttered some unparlimentory words also (Like Myiru, Un velai ai Paru) .
                          The same railway departments Officers checkers view is indifferent, what like us normal passengers will do? And they are persons day robbers with RPF Gun points, .The Old citizens were having tickets for three persons, at last only two were travelling, the rest one seat also sold out to some one by the Coach TTE. The Squad team is having the tendency to catch up the persons those who are all elder and wering dhotis, who cannot understand the thinks with different language like Malayalam and English.

                          I feel they are alll seems to be a Licenced Robbers/ Terrorists roaming with licence. We dont know when this country is going to give respect to the Senior Citizens and Ladies and Childrens. Still we have to cry . Terrorism is no where, like this terrorists are very near to us.

                          Please take neccessary action to control the Train Terrorism/Licenced robbers.

                          Eagerly anticipiating the action taken result. This one I want to bring in to the Media note also.

                          Dear Sir/Madam,

                          Our office is at Kancheepuram, hence we have to travel daily by Thirumalpur train from Chennai (Beach) on a daily basis. We are almost 50+ in age. As per company 's rule we have been forced for this transfer. It takes nearly 3 hours from Beach to Kancheepuram. If the train is with 3+ 2 seaters (without cushion), the travel is very uncomfortable, due to which our ladies are suffering from severe back pain because of the added strenuous travel for 3 hours with those kind of seats. As of now atleast two days in a week we get these kind of trains which makes our travel very painful.
                          Hence we kindly request you to look into this matter and send EMU train with comfortable seats without 3 +2 seaters (without cushion). One more suggestion is, if possible kindly provide toilets atleast for ladies compartments.

                            Dear Sir,
                            This complaint about CHETPET booking clerk.
                            I am traveling frequently from Chennai Chepet to Palavanthangal. The booking clerk who is issuing tickets are behaving using abused words and shouting public. When i asked for tickets for Mambalam return she is giving ticket for Mambalam (One way) only and the booking clerk is telling me to take ticket in Mambalam. Also, the lady clerk who is giving ticket is not hearing properly and she is through the hard earning money to the public and telling to go by bus... The railway is for public or for the staff like booking clerk. They are thinking that railway is their property... If somebody watches the scenario for a day they will come to know what really happening in CHETPET railway station BOOKING OFFICE.
                            The matter be taken seriously and action may be taken accordingly.

                            At Reservation Office, Coimbatore, NORTH, the ladies at the couter are just bent on doing their shift hours. They hardly listen to passengers requirements. I asked SPECIFICALLY for lower berths, for myself age 58 and my wife age 55, but she gave upper & middle, ALTHOUIGH LOWER BERTHS WERE AVAILABLE. So, I had to cancell the tickets, and rebook, of the SAME TRAIN, SAME DAY, and GOT THE LOWER BERTHS.

                            Who cares for my loss of Rs.80/- and needless waiting for an hour for rebooking?

                            Railways are like pourin water on umbrellas. No use.
                            The Place: Coimbatore North Reservation Office.
                            The time : 07.55 Hrs on 20.10.08
                            The scene: 75 odd persons waiting for tatkal/other tickets
                            The Actor: A tout, beneficiary of the staff's blessings
                            The Co-Actor: The staff manning the counters.
                            Scene 1: Unauthorised person enters the counter office,
                            takes almost 500 forms & goes away.
                            Doubts in scene 1:
                            ... WHY UNAUTHORISED PERSONS ALLOWED INSIDE?
                            ... WAS HE BOOKING TICKETS BEFORE COUNTER OPENED?
                            ... WHY WAS HE GIVEN 500+ FORMS AT ONE GO?

                            Scene 1 (Contd) On my raising an objection, with Station Manager & the staff, all those waiting SANG IN A CHORUS.
                            But when I went out, located a stationery shop, & brought A4 size papers to give written complaint, all kept quiet.

                            So, BARKING DOGS DONT BITE!!!

                              Dear Sir,
                              I had one of the worst experience of my life time with southern railways yesterday. I was supposed to travel from podanur( coimbatore) to mangalore by mangalore express (2685). If you see the irctc website the trains running date are mentioned as Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. But the irony is train starts on Monday 17:00 hours from chennai... so ideally they have to mention the running date as Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
                              Because of this confusion i booked a ticket from podanur to mangalore on Tuesday thinking that the train will reach podanur on wednesday early morning 00:15 hrs to podanur. But there was no train and i went through severe mental trauma because of this incident.
                              even now please check this in irctc website. the error is still there..i don't know how many passengers have underwent this confusion..
                              Is there any possiblity of getting back the ticket money...also can i put a case on southern railways under consumer protection act...i would be grateful if anybody can guide me on this issue...

                              One of my unexpected experience in train. I was waiting for train (6294) in Virudhunagar junction but unfortunately they announced train will be arriving in 1st platform . There we got more tensed since we were standing in 2nd platform and we rushed to the the other platform . While asking the person standing near by, we came to know that the announcement made by a man was wrong and for past one month he used to do that.Moreover his voice is also not clear. Sooner we rushed to the previous platform. Like us many missed the train too. So, please take necessary steps by changing the person or by taking any actions sooner...

                                Respected Sir,

                                The house hold items sent from TCR from MAS on 14th of Sep08 not yet received in chennai. On 16th I went to parcel office at central and the parcel was not received there . As per the instruction of parcel officers, I searched whole the platforms but no result. The same day I had given a complaint in NR Cell with the complaint No 15. After the complaint, I was contacting the NR Cell on a daily basis. But no response from there. With out house hold items I am suffering a lot in chennai. Today I met Mr.Siril raj (Dy Commercial Manager). As per his instruction I went to Divisional office chennai to meet Mr. Varadarajan (DCM). All the details given to them.

                                I spoke to TCR parcel officer Mr John. As per them the consignment has been loaded in the front SLR on the same date . There was another consignment also in the same SLR to Varanasi (149079 and 149080).
                                The consignment to Varanasi was reached there on time. As per the information from the parcel officer in central, the front SLR was unmanned and unsealed . as per him there was nothing in the SLR. But If there is no consignments in the SLR, how the Varanasi parcel will reach there?

                                Whenever I am calling for the status of the parcel I am getting only one answer :" Pls claim it for Rs 50/kg" . There was no action taken by the railway staffs other than telephone calls to stations for tracing my parcel.

                                Pls help me in tracing out my house holds as Me and my family is suffering with out the needful things. even my cloths and other important things were in the parcel.The last 15 days I am not able to function my office as I am searching for the parcel in Railway offices.


                                Pls look in to the matter as urgent.

                                I have booked my motorcycle in luggage from Chennai to Cuttack on 12.04.09, LT no. 232307 and it was lifted by train no. 6323 on 12.04.09 from Chennai and it is supposed to be unloaded at Cuttack on 13.04.09, but it has not been unloaded, it is over carried to Shalimar .Since I am working in far of place 150kms away from Cuttack it is difficult for me to travel such a distance every time to confirm whether it has reached Cuttack or not but till today(24.04.09) I went to Cuttack station 3 times but my vehicle has not arrived from shalimar.I am incurring heavy problems and losses lack of transport. Earlier I have given complaint two times to nr cell regarding this matter. So kindly take necessary action against this matter and do the needful.

                                I have booked my motor cycle from SBC ( Bangalore ) to ERS (Ernakulam South ) on 04/06/2011 vide receipt no:- 152785, in the name of Sudheer M, the same has been loaded in the train no 16315 on 05/06/2011, vide SLR no:- 05734, as on date means 11/06/2011, the vehicle is not arrived in ERS, i am visitng daily to ERS parcel office for the same. The office Mr.Poulose is saying that he is enquiring the same and contacted few offices but it all gone vein, they all telling that the vehicle is not arrived at their respective stations. As i am working in a company which is a field work, without vehicle its very difficult perform my job. my manager is saying that if vehicle is not there dont come for work. Due to railway fault why should i suffer. I am requesting you to do the needful and help me to get the vehicle at the earliest.

                                its not a complaint, its a requstition. the parcel sent should be taken with in 6 hours after the parcel reaches the station, so the after the parcel is received to the respective station you need to message to the sender and recievers mail or phone number.it will be easy for those who use railway parcell service.

                                  We are the regular user of EMU trains. It is very much useful for the mass transportation, to avoid more trafic jam by road.

                                  Every day evening, I use to come around 7'O clock in the evening from my office to Chrompet railway station.
                                  For the past 10 days, when I alight at chrompet there is no light in the railway station. I can not see the pathway, the person standing near by. Many of the ladies, elderly people are find very difficult to walk on the sationand claim the stair case. Also is very unsafe for them like pick pocket, chain snatching, eve teasing can happen in the dark.

                                  I thought the station master will notice and correct it. But no progress in the past ten days.

                                  I request to take necessary action immediately to rectify the problem.

                                    I travel regularly from Chennai-Coimbatore-Chennai, the Train travel is not safer nowadays the reserved compartments are very much occupied by the unreserved ticket holders and ticket less people, it cause inconvenience for the people who travel with proper ticket.
                                    I wonder if there is any difference between the reserved and unreserved ticket holders. I would like to have safer and comfortable train travel which may not be possible anymore if this continues. I would be helpful for the people who prefer Train Travel if the concerned authorities take action.
                                    This has been happening in all the trains. I often travel from chennai to bangalore any chair car express and i have even complained to the TTE regarding this. Once i left my seat to use the toilet and i came back and saw that two open ticket travellers had occupied it and i had to search for the TTE for nearly an hour to report the issue.
                                    Nowadays i travel by A/C coaches but even there i see the problem of the transgenders entering the coaches and disturbing the paasengers and demand money. The passengers are harresed if they object to give money.This can be termed equivalent to robbery with freedom. I am wondering if the RPF (protection force) really exist or whether they have a link in this and get thier share later...
                                    All i could say is that "The money we pay is not worth it". The railways is not concerned at all regarding any of the passenger greviences... Even my Uncle works in railways and with him i have taken this matter up to higher authorities but it is of no use...

                                    All that i would do nest is to try at a superior level...and See if the railway board exists or not..?

                                    We were travelling 31st Dec 2008 to Madurai Train No.6732 and back to Bangalore on 3.1.09 Train No.6731.
                                    When we were travelling in Second Sleeper we have lot of inconvenience like bad smell and we found lot of cockroaches and Rats in our Coach, the same we compliant to Mr.P.Ramalingam, Depty CTC, Erode, but he told us I compliant the same problem to my top officials, but no response till date, and he told us the same problem for all the Coachs like AC coachs also. We didnot sleep the whole night.
                                    All the passengers are inconvenience and I personally feel your image will go down from the public.

                                    I am requesting your good self kindly view the matter and take immediate action and take necessary steps immediately.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I daily travel in MRTS from Park town to Tiruvanmiyur. All MRTS stations are has lot of free space in the underground which is idle and gets spolied by dumping garbages.

                                    I request the concerned authorities, that the space can be utilised by alloting to parking in all stations, Hotels, Shops or restaurants, so that the people travelling will be benefited by this support.

                                    The other problem is that the ticket counter is available at one end of the station. But in tiruvanmiyur almost 95% of travelers enter through the first entrance of the traffic signal, (near the foot overbridge), whereas the ticket counter and also the automated swipe card machines are also placed at the other end, they have to walk along to other end to get the ticket. If one of the automated swipe card machines is placed two ends, it will be convinent to the travellers.

                                    I am Shivakumar from vriddhachalam. I would like to share my
                                    views about the worstest thing happening in *vriddhachalam railway Junction*.
                                    Every day all *lights* including those in the platform where public reach
                                    are always *switched off* doesnt matter even if it was midnight? The lights
                                    are switched on only when the train arrives & gets switched off the next second when the train departs.
                                    Moreover railway colony has become a public bar for all those who wanted to have fun & drink. can somebody take necessary action?
                                    Even worse is going on under station particularly mandeveli station behind and under booking counter there is bar and u can find comdoms there. one fellow as built a house under the pillar of the station. I dont know whom to complaint he always will be in drunk state. i even picture of it.
