My Airtel SIM/number which I am using from 10 years, suddenly stopped, and shows no service. I asked customer care they said the number is on someone's else name and we have to move to postpaid to get the same number back. I have business network connected with this number from years.

    My 8-year-old working Airtel number was suddenly disconnected on 1st Dec 2022.
    There was no notification, no call or text regarding the same.

    The first day (30th November) my outgoing was stopped, and the next day everything stopped, and the network was gone.

    It is causing me a great deal of inconvenience as it was my primary number that was always recharged on time. My bank accounts, credit cards, office work, and government documents are all linked to this number. As a result of the OTP/SIM issue, I cannot use payments apps/UPI or make any online transactions using debit cards or credit cards.

    Long follow up with Airtel so far:
    The day when it was disconnected last week, I immediately contacted the customer care 2-3 times but they gave random reasons of damaged sim, recharge not done, sim version is outdated, document problem etc. and asked me to visit the Airtel store only.

    I visited the nearest Airtel store which was 25km from my home on 2nd December but didn't get any help saying 'Sir is not available'. As my everyday life is getting impacted without my SIM not working (no OTP for banking or other transactions), I visited the Airtel store again the next day (3rd December).
    Today I was told that my number is not found in their database and permanently disconnected and nothing can be done now. When I asked what the reason was, they said they didn't know.
    I asked what is the solution now, they asked to purchase a new number.

    I tried customer care once again in hope to get some help but again they said the number is permanently disconnected and they can't find it in their database and nothing can be done.
    I trusted Airtel over all other operators but looks like I was wrong, so wrong. Not expected this kind of service from Airtel.

    I need my same Airtel number back!
    Airtel is not understand the problem here, I have always recharged my number on time and using it since 8 years, not sure what happened at their end and they disconnected it without any notification or reason.

    This number is linked with everything in my life and I can't buy a new number again and go to banks/offices to link the new number.
    I'm also afraid of the SIM cloning case now, this number may be allotted to someone else and they may use it to withdraw money from my bank accounts.

    Please help to check this issue with priority.

    I see few other complains as well here which looks like exactly same issue,
    Not sure how many people are suffering because of this irresponsible act of Airtel.

      Outgoing Calls Barred On Prepaid SIM

      I've been a customer of Airtel for more than a decade now and all of a sudden, as of this morning 12/7/22 all outgoing calls have been barred with only incoming and internet working.

      I've raised multiple complaints and tickets to no response and pathetic customer care.

      Apparently it will take more than two week just to review and resolve my ticket, such fools of the highest order. It is impossible for anyone...

      Hi, i am residing at Sardar Patel Avas Yojna, Shashtrinagar, Ahmedbaad. i have just shifted house on 11th floor & i found there is low network, no network sometimes network outage most of the time. majority of time, call gets dropped & couldn't connect call again. even in my previous house which was within same society, there was very low airtel network.

      need support from Airtel service to look into the issue since there are about 1500 Residences in Sardar avas yojna & half of residents are using airtel connection & all are facing same issue.

        Hi Sir,

        With due respect I want to mention that I am Yamini Kant Mahato and my airtel prepaid mobile number is +9192... The number is auto deactivated on 1st Dec 2022 without any notifications, neither any messages nor calls. The SIM was recharged for 1 year subscription on 12/02/2022 of amount Rs.1799 and will be going to expire on February 2023, hence I have physically visited nearest Airtel Office Airtel Store, Sangamvadi, Pune, Maharashtra 411001 and have explained the scenario but haven't tried to understand my pain while Airtel Office Manager was saying that the SIM was deactivated very long ago or the SIM was not using since one year. The Airtel Manager was speaking very rudely even not tried to resolve the issue. I was suck that how his Airtel Team is behaviour with his customers while I shown the latest incoming and outgoing calls records I also updated that the SIM is linked with AADHAAR, PF, PASSPORT, BANK ACCOUNT, UPI etc. But finally they raised the request and told that we will call back you at your alternative number as soon as possible but still no any response. Due to deactivate of SIM, my schedules have impacted. I am not able to make a call since 1st of Dec 2022, my all bank transaction stopped via mobile banking. I can't book a slot for corona booster vaccination. Hence I have visited another nearer Airtel Store, Loyagi Road, Central Avenue, Nilanjali Society, Kalyani Nagar, near Ganpati Mandir, Pune, Maharashtra 411006 on 3rd of Dec 2022, They are telling that we can't see any records of this number so can't help you anything please go to your home circle and check the issue. My home circle is in hyderabad Telangana and its very difficult for me to travel hyderabad from Pune, hence I told my Hyderabad friend to go and check in Airtel, Office, he got info that the SIM got deactivated on 1st Dec 2022 because SIM was running long years hence need again physical verification to reactive it.

        Respected Sir, quickly check this issue and help to reactivate the sim. I am available for physical verification at any time of airtel office pune Maharashtra.

            Urgent action please, before sim expired.
            Your relation with company still they display such delay. There grace period is over by 10.12.22 yet no decision.
            The talk time shown as zero with red symbol though the voucher contains unlimited talk time for 24 days. Why n how?
            How the complaint is shown as resolved when no timely solution.

              I had my recharge for the airtel number through simpl billbox on 6th December 12:25 am the amount has been deducted from my wallet but the recharge is still not reflecting on my phone number hence I want the refund

                I had requested for airtel xstream broadband connection and made the payment online.
                I did not get any update and i got a SMS from airtel saying that the broadband connection is not available in my area and refund will be processed. It's been a week and i didn't receive refund and the sales person is also not responding regarding refund. Worst ever experience from airtel. If you don't have coverage then why sales person is making false promises and asking us to pay the amount. Holding our money in your account without any response and responsibilities. Will never take airtel connection in any form and will suggest everyone to do the same. Worst ever service provider.

                  All of a sudden, my phone no. +91 [protected] stopped working and it has been more than 48hrs with no resolution.

                  It shows INVALID SIM at the place where the tower of service provider comes which in this case is Airtel.

                  NEED HELP AT THE EARLIEST AS I CANT GET INTOUCH WITH CUSTOMER CARE INTERNATIONAL # ANYMORE

                        DnD activated on 2511.22 but not working till date
                        Complain made to customer care closed without attending
                        Customer care executives are helpless and attitude is very bad not responding at all

                          Hi,

                          I have a very urgent case to be addressed. I had been using my airtel number +91-[protected] from the past 15 years. Never ported, never changed, daily using and fully active. All of sudden, since 30th Nov 2022 morning there is no signal on my Airtel number, tried changing phones too, but no luck. Calling on the number says "This number does not exist".

                          As a first step, we went to Airtel's head office, Kapurthala, Punjab. They said that the number is not in Airtel's records, the number never existed. The phone number is dead. Called the customer care thrice, they declined to register the complaint and said number doesnot exist in their database.

                          This is completely false, I have been actively using it and recharging it consistently, even recharged 10 days ago. I have the transactionIds of my recent recharges and sms from Airtel from where you can track back that my number was actively being used. I also received/made multiple calls as per my daily routine the day before I lost the connection.

                          I am shocked to hear that the number is nowhere in the Airtel records now, while it was active and working till yesterday.
                          What I understood, is that the record is totally deleted from Airteel's database, it is a major major incident and security breach from Airtel and I am going to take a major action if that is the case. Before I escalate, kindly check your logs and provide me the details what happened to my number.

                          Also, I had the Airtel App installed in my phone and suddenly today I am logged out of that too. I cannot access My airtel account from there too.
                          Furthermore, there was no pending paper work, no pending documentation no pending KYC related to this number, and never received any SMS/Call about it.

                          Since the number is 15 years old, and my default number, I have so many bank and other important accounts linked to this phone number. I am ready to provide all the proofs, eveidences, adhaar card everything to get my number back. Take it seriously and re-activate my phone number as soon as possible.

                          Kindly investigate, give me a complaint number and provide me the details what happened to my number, why is it not showing to your records. You can reach out to my alternate number: +91-[protected] or email id: [protected]@yahoo.co.in

                          I need the following answers:
                          1) Number was active and in use and fully recharged with validity more than 30+ days, why is suddenly not in your records?
                          2) Who deleted the record from your database?
                          3) I can share the recent transactionIds of my recent recharges, cant you track back from those to confirm this number existed even until my recent recharge 10 days ago.

                          Check your logs and provide me the answers, I need answers. This is a major issue.
                          If you have to restore my number from your database backup, do it. I need my phone number back.

                          I am facing same issue with my 8 year old working Airtel SIM card.
                          Suddenly on 30th November my SIM card lost signal and when contacted customer care they said they can not find this SIM in their data base. Visited the Airtel store as well but same response, sent emails to Airtel but same response from them also saying no such SIM in their database.
                          Feeling completely helpless.

                              My mobile number with Airtel is [protected] i have been doing complaints from more than 4 months for data not working at my home & office. They have taken all the details of Longitude, Lattitude, Address and stating on their twitter handle & on their customer portal work in progress only. I have been paying for complete services for 5 family connections. If they are not able to resolve the problem they are not liable to charge me full amount.

                                Somebody stole my mobile phone yesterday in train and when I called customer care executive to block the sim they said that sim is registered on someone else name and they cannot block it now what should I do my mobile is stolen I need to block the sim.
                                Please block the sim as soon as possible.

                                  I recharged my father's Airtel no. of ₹455, money deducted but recharge failed. I didn't get the refund even after 7 days. Transaction ID=[protected].Now I want refund my amount as soon as possible as I already book 3_4 complaints but now working at all.

                                    Hi Team,

                                    I have done a recharge of Rs. 2999/ on dated[protected]:48:33 through Airtel Thanks App by using my Airtel UPI ID. The payment showed a successful transaction Id[protected] and also the amount of Rs. 2999/ deducted from my bank account but recharge was not successful. The transaction receipt of Airtel Payments bank is showing the amount is lying with the Bharti Airtel Limited ( Receiver's UP ld - [protected]@mairtel ) .

                                    Post my recharge on[protected], I received the below message from AO-AIRINF regarding my transaction status with ( Order Id:[protected]. The screenshot for the same has been attached also.

                                    Hi, Payment of Rs. 2999.0
                                    done via Upi has been
                                    processed. Order Id:
                                    [protected].
                                    You will receive the order
                                    confirmation within 4 hrs.
                                    Please keep the Order ID
                                    for future reference.

                                    However recharge is not done . So I connected with both Airtel Mobility team & Airtel Payments bank customer executives.

                                    I raised a Service Request with Airtel Payments bank regarding the transaction status & got the response that the above transaction is successful from their end. I have attached a screenshot for the same also.

                                    The Airtel Payments bank Team asked me to contact the Airtel Mobility Team regarding the recharge issues, but when I raised the queries with the Airtel Mobility team they have no clue about the transaction/payment details and no one is responding properly for the same . I have called nearly 8 - 10 times to Airtel Mobility team but they mentioned they can't do anything about it & asked repeatedly to connect with the Airtel Payments bank team only.

                                    This is very much frustrating for me doing the regular follow up with both the Airtel Mobility team & Airtel Payments bank team but still my money is stuck with the Airtel . As one of the largest service providers of India I expect these issues should be resolved from your end at the earliest convenience.
