Bajajco Furniture — dealer refusing to give me return

Dear sir,
My name is arijit patra and yesterday which was march 1st 2018 my parents bought a symphony diet air cooler the serial no. For which is #[protected]. The address of the dealer who sold the item is ad-112, rabindrapally kestopur, (V. I. P.), kolkata-700101 his phone no. Is[protected],[protected]
When they arrived home with the product i did not like it and felt i had no need for it and since they bought it for me i urged them to return the product and
Get their money back. So we told the delivery guy who brought the product in, to contact the dealer so we may ask for a refund. Upon which he gave us the dealers number
And we contacted him and asked for a refund. He instantly refused to give us a refund and when asked for the reason he gave us some gibberish excuse. He said
That beacuse we bought the product at the eve of holi he will not give us a refund even though it had only been half an hour since we bought the product and it was not even open yet. After
Some argument he agreed to take the product back but refused to give us our money back. Instead he said that he will give us store credit so we may buy some
Other product from his shop. After that the delivery guy gave us a demonstration of the product and we reluctantly agreed to accept it because at that point we felt like we had no other choice. But then i went online
And read about the right to free return act which entitles us consumers to return and get refund for any durable item within a certain amount of time period.
At that point i felt cheated by the dealer because when we contacted him he misled us into believing that we were not eligible for a refund. I do not know
What to do now so i am lodging this complaint. And i sincerely hope that this issue gets sorted out shortly.
