I had taken SIM Card for travel to Europe from Clay Telecom in July 2015. They took a deposit of Rs. 5000 with my credit card. My bill was Rs. 3160. They are supposed to refund the excess amount as per discussion with the agent at the time of taking the SIM Card. Despite atleast 10 mails, there is no response. I would not advise to use this company. Better stick to Matrix.

    During my visit to Hong Kong in the month of Aug 2015 I have purchased two sim card from a local Agent of Clay Telecom. After submitting relevant documents required by them.

    During returning from Hong Kong I found they have deducted Rs. 10, 000 from my credit card without my approval.

    After my several reminders they sent a mail with billing details for both the sim card totaling Rs. 6849.33 dt. 3rd Oct 2015.

    There after i am requesting them for refunding the balance amount since unnecessary I am paying Standard Charted Bank issuing of Credit Card.

    Requesting to help me in getting refund of the balance money Rs. 3150.67 from Clay Telecom. (attached belew mail correspondence with clay telecom.)

      Clay sims and their overly charger bills --- I had used a clay sim for China and returned it well in time.. I got tge first bill around month end which close to some 6000 rs which was fair as per my usage. Again after 15 days my card was charged for some 5500 rs for which i got no bills. I called their customer centre and asked for a document that stated the usage against 5500 rs. There was bo response on email or a hard copy or anything.. Now after my fifth follow up on this matter, i get a mail saying that there is some mistake and the money debited will be refunded within 3 days.. My experience with their sim card was simply pathetic.. You'd rather not use anything...

        Clay sim cards were literally the worst thing to happen to me on my trip to Istanbul.. Such terrible services, that its unbelievable. I called their service help center like a zillion times only to get through them once. And that once was a headache in itself. I was seeking help with my poor network and all the representative replied to some question itself, about data and plans. Such incompetent services and that too charged for a high price. Disappointing

          They have a system where when you ibster new sim automatically you 4g wi get activate and downloads will happen. I had got their singapore sim and for just using 15mb they have charged me INR. 5500/-.
          First of all I had to follow-up for almost a month to get the bill and when I got it I was shocked to see the same. The sales representative when he sold the plan and sent me the plan details there was noention on the gprs usage. Even in the plan mailed to me the charges was mentioned only for calls and SMS.
          Really unfortunate and their customer service is really bad they just don't care for you.

            Its advisable not to use clay sim cards at all than rely on them for convenience. I had a terrible time trying to get signals on my phone when I was in Malaysia. I couldn’t use the phone for 4 days out of the 5 days that I took it for and then I was emailed a bill of Rs 1500/- for my usage. Not a big amount, but the point is why would I pay for something that I couldnt use at all and it wasn’t even my fault. And their customer support was adamant on charging the 1500 bucks, which they did on my credit card. But for sure I wont be using their services anytime in the future now. Very disappointed!!

              We got charged twice for the same number with different dates ---- You use clay sim cards once but you land up paying twice for the same number and on different dates. We’d used a clay sim card in London from 1st September and returned it on the 15th September. We got our first bill on the 30th that charged us for something close to 10, 876/- rs and then we got another bill on 1st Oct that was froom the 19th Sept till the 25th Sept and we were again charged for 7000/- rs. And without our knowledge they directly charged the credit card and when I called their support team to question them on this, they said the sysyetm had my credit details against the number and thus charged likewise. Not once did he sound apologetic or admitted their mistake, instead was straight in saying such things happen so I don’t need to worry, since I will get my refund in a few days. Not worried about the refund, but look at their attitude!! Make a mistake atleast admit it. Such poor and pathetic services! Will ensure atleast that everyone I know, never use their services in the furture.

                Pathetic customer service, twice billing and no refund since more than 7 months! I used their monthly unlimited plan while I travelled to the U.S. for a fortnight in the month of March, 2015. The usage was only for a period of around 14 days. However, they erroneously charged me 2 separate bills for the months of Feb and March. Two bills of Rs 5616.88! It could have been a small error which could have been easily taken care of by the Customer care team at Clay. But they didn’t. I had to pay the amount of the 2 bills and have been following up with Clay Telecom for a refund ever since. Every time I followed up with them over email and phone, they gave me lame excuses for not refunding the amount. I have written proof that a refund would be provided but nothing has happened so far. Wrote a complaint, with RAF number in comment and posted it on this forum in the first week of October. After more than a week, got a reply stating that complaint be sent on email id [protected]@clay.co.in. Sent entire chain emails on 14th October 2015. On 27th October, I get a reply stating that because I did not send them my contact number and RAF number, they have considered the query to be resolved. Can't get more ridiculous than this!                 Terrible services

                I had used a clay sim almost a month back for my trip to Singapore and I had a very inconvenient time using it. The network they have is so terrible.. Barely any signals and data reception. No point using their services at all. Very bad..

                Clay Sim Cards excel at providing you with poor services and equally poor customer support. Used them twice and won’t ever be using them again anytime in the future!!!

                  Clay International sim cards are the most untrustworthy services that I could have used in Malaysia. Signals and call drops were constant issues which weren’t addressed despite several calls to their customer care. If this is the kind of services they provide for international travelers who seek convenience, I would rate them 1 on a scale of 10. Absolutely terrible.

                    I used clay sim card services in London and they were really bad. There were perpetually constant issues with the network. Calling the customer care was equally difficult mainly because it took them 2 days to revert on my email with this concern in a single line that said that they are looking into it. Even on a call, its difficult cos they address the issue only after 10 minutes after putting you on hold. After 3 days of this drama, I stopped using their sim card completely. Gave me headaches than convenience.

                             Really unprofessional and useless services by clay telecom-- I had placed an order online to buy a clay sim for Europe and turned out that they'd sent me a SIM card that never worked here in India as well. Since I wanted to sure if the sim worked at all, I tried using it here in Hyderabad but no signals. I had to call the customer care asking them to replace the sim on an urgent basis which according to them took 2 days (that's their definition o[censored]rgent). Nevertheless their online buying for data is also quite up. I could barely get through to buying an additional data for the European number. And again no help from their customer services! Deciding to use clay sims turned out to be more painful than convenience.. Really bad.

                              Clay SIM cards have the worst customer service--- I had bought their SIM card services for London and had specifically asked for a plan with more data limit than regular.. Turned out that after a 4 days I exhausted all the data on my plan and how I got to know was through the email they sent that now my data will be charged.. I paid an additional 3500 for 3GB data and after calling the customer services they said that it hasn't been activated instead I have free minutes to India.. I mean what the hell did I pay clay sims for.. Such pathetic services it's not even funny..

                                    I have never had such a bad experience with any service provider than what I had with clay SIM cards. I was using their service for Singapore and after every third day, they would send me an email for pending bill against that I was still using in Singapore. I have been trying to get in touch with their customer care and everytime they told me they will look into and I am still get those irritating payments emails.

                                      Pathetic services and they do not honour contracts well-- my son was using a clay sim in London, specially the student plan. Their service was very bad and very expensive at the same time. I remember paying 26000 for a month against usage charges.. I finally decided to discontinue with their services, even cleared the rentals to get rid of their services. Even after all this, they send me monthly bills against the same number and infact did charge my care twice even after disconnecting the contract. Clay international sims are not at all trustworthy and it's a tedious task to get things right with them. Think twice before deciding to use their service.
