Nothing could be worse that using a clay sim card for travels abroad. I mean its better to actually buy a local sim card than assume that clay sims will help you connect. Several times I faced call drops with full network bars on the phone, they never deduct the money according to the stated prices but always more. Honestly it was bad using Clay Sims

    I took a sim card from Clay Telecom, Global travel SIM, D-158B, Okhla - 1, New Delhi -110020 for my Australia tour in in the last week of September 2016.I got it from Mr.Prashant (Mob [protected], email [protected]@gmail.co.in). Clay Telecom debited my Credit card for Rs.5000/= on 4.10.2016 itself. I returned fro Australia trip on 11.10.2016 and intimated Mr.Prashant to collect my SIM. This was done after about 15 day.An invoice ( CTA-DL[protected] dated 4.10.2016) was raised for Rs.2456/=. This invoice included the Data charges also which was not availed my me. Mr.Prashant told that when the final bill will be raised it will be checked whether data has been used or not . As there was no use of the data, call charges bill of about Rs.786/= was raised.
    the balanced amount (Rs.5000/= minus Rs.786/=) has not been paid to me.Prashant has left Clay Telecom now. then I was following with Ms .Koyal Nag. No refund has been paid to me so far. Now Ms.Koyal is not responding on phone (mob [protected]) and email ([protected]@clay.co.in).I feel cheated by the company.

    I wish to bring to your kind notice that my complaint is still pending.No resolution has been done so far.Clay had demanded a period of 25-30 days to send the refund amount.The complaint was lodged on 7th Feb 2017.On March 8 2017 I reminded them that I have not received the refund so far.They have not responded so far.
    You have closed the complaint as resolved.You need to take up the matter with Clay telecom

      Pathetic overall experience o[censored]sing clay sim cards in Thailand. Their network was so bad that I cant even begin to state. Paid a bomb to get their prepaid sim card which didn’t work at all. Or actually hardly worked for 2 days on and off types. It would have been better had we bought a prepaid sim card from the airport only. Atleast the customer support would have been a lot easier and approachable

        Very bad experience with Clay Sim Cards when it came to clearing the dues. Anywhich ways my experience o[censored]sing teir international sim card in Singapore wasn’t that great but I was hoping that that would be it. After about 15 days of returning the sim card, I came home to a shocking bill of close to Rs 15, 000/- It took me a while to understand what just hit me. For a number that I used mainly for receiving FREE incoming calls, 15, 000 Rs was a bit too much. Later scanning the bill I saw a lot of calls that were charged on SPECIAL numbers which I had no clue of. I mean had I made those calls I would have paid the bill, but slyly adding those is nothing less than CHEATING. Several yelling calls and emails later I was given a bill around Rs 6897/- to be paid. Had I not checked the bill thoroughly I would have landed up paying that amount for no reason. After this experience, am pretty convienced that m never going to buy their services anymore.

          Very conveniently Clay Sim Cards lied to me. When I had inquired about getting an international sim card for Dubai, I was told that they would give it to me 2 days prior to my visit. They got all the papers signed, blocked the security amount on my credit card as well, did everything that was needed for me to get a sim card. I was assured that I would get the sim card 2 days before my travel but turned out quite otherwise. I called the guy several times asking for the sim card and every time he would answer he would tell me that the guy is on his way. Not even once he hinted that I would not get the sim card. It turned out to be a very frustrating event and an eye opening experience

          Clay Mobiles render such pathetic overseas services that its better not to waste your money on them at all. I experienced their dose of bad services in Europe. No service connectivity anywhere that I traveled to. Total waste of my money despite telling them that their sim card didn’t work, no money was refunded.

            Hi,

            I had a trip scheduled to Japan. I opted for Clay telecom and expecting good service. I reached to Japan on 16th Nov and i tried following the steps given by Sales person Sourabh Bawankar and it did not help. Also, i clearly told prior to my trip that, i have iphone 6 and he told me that, you need to follow steps as mentioned in the form named with "iphone" and you will be set. Though it did not work. i was only able to receive calls and nothing else. Neither data was working nor i was able to make a call. i tried contacting them over email and waited for their response and did not hear anything from them.
            so i again contacted them and they told me that you will get a call from our expert team shortly. I did not receive any call . I again followed up and somehow managed to talk to them and they told me that we will get back to me as we need to check on this. I did not hear anything from them for two days. So i talked to sales person and he told me that i am following up here and assist you in getting the issue sorted . Also, They call you at any time without looking at the time zone you are traveling to and expect you to pick up phone. isn't it ridiculous ?

            This went for a week or so. finally some how i able to get data. for voice, they had asked to install some app. After i got data, i downloaded the app and tried making calls and it was not going through and i brought it in front of them and they did not able to resolve issue.

            i had a trip for 10 days wherein, the data started working after a week or so and voice(outgoing calls) never worked.

            After i came back form Trip, i asked them not to charge without my consent as i had faced lot of issue and the card did not work through out my journey, though they ignored me and debited it from account( they ask you to provide credit card photo copy of the front side).

            When i contacted them about how can you charge the entire amount without giving any service so, the sales person told that, they should not have charged you the entire amount and he told that, i am gonna ask my credit team to look into that and ask them to settle the amount as per the usage.

            Multiple times i followed up with sales person and their team over call and email and had no luck. the issue is yet not resolved.

            I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISED YOU TO NOT TO GO FOR CLAY SERVICES AS THEY HAVE A REAL POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND YOU WILL GET TIRED FOLLOWING UP WITH SUCH A USELESS PEOPLE AND THEY WILL NEVER RESPOND AND JUST PLAY AROUND.

              On November 11th of this year, I decided to use a Clay International Sim card for my travels to England, since I had heard a lot about it. Hoping that it would be a great choice and be very useful to me there. I was happy that they responded to my inquiry immediately. I got the sim card the very next day i.e on the 12th. The sales guy showed me how it works and everything worked fine. I was thinking this will be a good way to save money. When I landed and performed all the steps as instructed by the guy, and after 2 hours also when I did not get any signals on the phone, that’s where my horror started. No signals anywhere. I tried calling their customer care via a pay phone outside the airport, I was given no assistance. All they said was keep on hard rebooting the phone, at some point it will start working. And it is surprising that the phone showed signals in some areas and yet I wasn’t able to make or receive any calls. This is the kind of ‘international experience’ I had with Clay Sim Cards. From my point of view, they are utterly useless. I would never recommend their services to anyone

                I am sure there are better prepaid international sim cards available in the market than Clay Sims. I bought an international sim card for Singapore from them and without informing me that they don’t have a local sim instead have a UK number also which costed me a bomb to use it locally in Singapore. The cost of sim card is just 800 rs but it effectively turns out be more than 5000 rs because of all the expensive call rates and data rates that they apply. I don’t think so I will be using their services anytime in the near future.

                  I was buying a Chinese sim card from Clay through their website and what a frustrating experience. Super slow website. Loading the documents took me forever and at the last minute I was shown an error page. SO then I requested a call back. A button which wasn’t working on the website. Then I tried chatting with the user on the side. They took all my details and said that someone from their team will call me. Been 3 days, no call yet and no sim card also. I am glad that I experienced their services before hand. I wonder how would their services be post purchasing the sim card.

                    I had a good experience with clay telecom while using the services of Internet and calling in USA. It worked absolutely fine as claimed by the company, but the customer service is not as per the standards as expected. On packaging and every where it was mentioned 24*7 support but the customer agent does not even pick the calls on working hours of the company. I had called to just confirm the codes before making call and my plan details. Company should improve the customer care team so as to provide a better service to travelers.

                      I was using clay in malaysia. I had a 4g plan activated on my card. The first 2 days it worked fine, but for the remaining trip i was on edge data. How is it that the 3g data plan that i was on, it got over and i was on edge services now. I called up their customer care and they said they don’t track data hence cant offer any details and if i want more data i will have to pay for the services. Pls tell me why the hell did i pay 1700 rs for initially if this is how u guys want to make more money.???

                        Worst services that I experienced in London with Clay international sim cards. We were sold out on the idea that these guys have the best networks and that their customer support team is one of the best and the most responsive. Me and my husband landed in London, inserted our new Clay sim card waiting to call our son to tell him about our safe landing. The sim just didn’t work. It didn’t catch any signals whatsoever and wherever. So ultimately we landed up using our Delhi number that we were carrying for emergencies. We told him about the issue and surprisingly when he contacted they didn’t even care to address the issue. Zero services at exhorbitant pricing. A big NO NO

                          Getting life threatening calls for a wrong billed amount by clay telecom. The call is Mr. Harish Bhardwaj who has every one i am related to and threatens to kidnap them.

                          My friend company recommended me to take the clay sim card to Japan. Clay representative spoke to me and asked me to collect the sim card at the Delhi airport T-3 before i fly off to Tokyo. Upon collecting the sim from airport counter, I asked the clay guys for any instruction, to which he replied "give me your phone" and he put the sim in my iPhone 5s. No other instructions were given as he confidently stated "the sim will work when you land in Tokyo". I used the sim as I’d use any other clay sim internationally (yes i have used clay sim on entire Europe trip as well, the service was good then). The internet did not work for first 28 hrs in Tokyo.

                          Upon my return i receive a bill of Rs. 76, 000 from Clay stating i forgot to use internet calling. I said the Clay rep. didn't inform me to which he replied that he informed my friend about the instructions. I didn't hear from Clay guys for some time, then a clay representative came and said you bill is wrong just send them an email and the company will rectify it. Again nothing happened after we sent an email. In the meantime clay very smartly raised the invoice on my friend’s company name stating the other company purchased the sim.
                          Now after 6 months the reps keep harassing me for the payment. After non-stop calls from them i agreed to pay Rs 25, 000 (amount should have Rs. 5000) 5 times more than what i should. They say they will drag everyone in court and make sure they destroy my career. I have requested them that listen to customer point of view but they are not ready to listen. After lot of pleading they say i have to pay Rs. 65000 or they will drag me to court. When i agreed to take the matter in court they have smartly dragged my friends company in this case and started pressuring them instead. Now i get calls from 30 times from random numbers. They don’t let me work. Now they have started calling my family and colleagues. A person names Harish Bhardwaj from clay recovery has made life threatening and kidnapping calls to my sister, friends and colleagues.

                          I think this is a case of sheer negligence from Clay Representative from Jaipur. He has very smartly played the card and shifted the blame on consumers. I thought of getting a Clay sim to save money but amount they are asking in more than my hotel and flight stay in Tokyo.
                          This is one of the biggest fraud company I have ever seen. The reps are extremely arrogant and non-cooperative.

                          We also face the silimar cheating by Clay telecom for Japan Sim. This is Clay telecom modus operandi to cheat its customers. In case of Japan or any other country where Internet calling applies, they never informed customers and when customers uses the sim in lack of information, clay raise a huge amount of bills and if customers don't pay their goons calls you and each one person to whom customer called from that sim. NEVER use clay telecom sim. The telecom department should cancel their license. How can TRAI can allowe to cheat customerss. If anybody knows where to make these cheaters complaint in govt department, please share hare.
                          We also face the silimar cheating by Clay telecom for Japan Sim. This is Clay telecom modus operandi to cheat its customers. In case of Japan or any other country where Internet calling applies, they never informed customers and when customers uses the sim in lack of information, clay raise a huge amount of bills and if customers don't pay, their goons calls you and each one person to whom customer called from that sim and abuse them.                             I've been dealing with clay sim cards for the past 3 weeks about getting my refund for an excess charge of rs 12890/- on my credit card for their sim card i used in london. 4 times i called clay’s customer service for an update on the refund and all those 4 times they’ve had a standard response where they tell me i need to wait 72 hours for the refund to reflect on the card. Well here i am. Unresolved!! I am just waiting for my refund post which i am never going to recommend their services to anyone.

                              With the intention of staying connected while I was traveling to Spain, I chose to use a clay sim card. The sales guy promised big stuff, like wow network, no issues and he’d be there to resolve them any time I faced any issues. Well here is how the story goes. The first 2 days very good service, the third day no network at all. The wifi was working fine, but nothing otherwise. So basically in order for me to be connected I had to be in the hotel only as that was where the phone was working. I whatsapped Rohit (sales guy), no response. Read but no response for 3 days. I even took the pains of calling their customer care from a payphone, they didn’t have anything to offer either. I would have been better connected using my Delhi number itself. What is the point of offering a service when you cant honor it. An absolute headache.

                                I took the sim card from Delhi International Airport for Western Europe, after checking out reviews online I took a decision not to take the Sim card but then I took the risk of buying it and I was shocked to see the service of Clay Sim card. It actually works good in Europe, with plans at good price. I would definitely recommend to buy a clay sim card for Western Europe, network coverage it just great just need to configure the settings as mentioned on the packet. Trusting on online reviews is not always true as per my own experience.

                                Clay Telecom — Great Experience with Clay telecom Later on

                                  Clay international sim cards are only good at aggravating your frustration because their services are by far nothing less than pathetic. I was using their sim card for singapore and i experienced the worst services from their end. Network was bad. Initial 2 days the sim didn’t work. Their customer team has a standard respons’ “ we are sorry that you’re experiencing this trouble. We will do everything to resolve this today.” today never comes. Of the 7 days, i actually used the sim card for 3 and it only added to my frustrations. I should have done my due diligence before going ahead with clay sims.

                                    Hi! We went to Europe with friends. It was a couples trip and we were three couples, and on the suggestion of one of the friends we made a mistake of buying and taking Clay sim cards along.
                                    Throughout the trip we were neither able to make calls to each other and after two-three days we were bot even able to make calls to India to our family. Being totally helpess about contacting anyone, we were totally dependent on calling through wifi, whereever it was available there. On contacting on the given helpline nunber they took so much time to get back on the issue that it was time to get back for us. Totally bad experience!

                                      I bought Clay card for my Germany trip at Medica-2016 show for which I took the card from the company's Delhi office by paying Rs.3599/- for 500 min of free India calling and unlimited data. However, when I reached Germany ( Dusseldorf), I found that there was no data activated on my sim card.Even after cimplaining to their customer care for 10 times and changing my handset settings as per their instructions, the data was not activated. I feel cheated by the Clay company and I have decided to go to the consumer court to recover my losses.

                                        After using clay sim cards I realized what a blunder it was. I was told that their plans and everything is very affordable. Well experience says quite the contrary! For 5 days in Dubai, I got billed for 7800/- and mostly for data which I am pretty sure I didn’t use, since I was mostly connected to wifi else the data for off. Calls are expensive too for no reason and surprisingly local calls for similar minutes are charged differently. I mean like how much can you fool the customer. It was the first and the last time o[censored]sing clay sim cards.
