I was handed over a clay sim card from office since i was traveling to germany for work. I was pretty reluctant to use it in the first place and was more comfortable using my indian number. Sticking to office policies i decided to use that sim card irrespective. I have to enlist all the problems i faced. To begin with, the sim card didn’t work for 2 days in a row. According to them some backend issues. Having resolved that, the data was fluctuating and working on its own mood. I couldn’t receive emails or send the same. Reason that i was given was settings were not fixed. Having fixed the settings according to their setup, it still didn’t work. No reason stated. On a work trip, with 2 days of no access and no emails imagine my frustration with clay sim cards. This is the world class service they claim to provide to their corporate clients. Absolute disgrace.

I had got sim card from Clay Telecom for Foreign Travel from 25th June to 10th July.
After returning i along with my college returned the sim card and handset.
But still the deposit amount of rs.2000 is not yet returned.
There is no reply from their side when mail were sent to them.

    I had used a clay sim card last month in Singapore and ever since I returned the sim card it has become a nightmare. Firstly I got 2 bills within a span of 15 days and both with glaring figures crossing Rs 10, 000/ each. On careful observation one bill was charged to me for different dates of travel and the other had random mobile numbers next to the call logs. After several emails and follow ups they agreed to refund the amount swiped on my card and its been more than 25 days that it hasn’t happened yet. In total frustration I write this so that whoever wants to use their services can get a better picture of how they function and harass the customer.

      I happened to use a clay international sim card in Glasgow hoping that as they claim I would save money and great network and everything else that they claim of. In the middle o[censored]sing their really bad network services and calling the customer care every second day of my trip I realized it was a very bad choice to buy their services. Network is a constant problem despite being on a local number. And its quite irritating to be constantly looking for signals to make sense of the conversation on the other end. Absolutely waste of a service. Total disappointment

        Firstly clay sim cards have terrible services in indonesia and then the way they dealt with my case was not even professional. They had charged my card twice for 2 different amounts and when i asked them for a logical explanation, they said it was a mistake and now they have refunded the money. While i didnt ask for any refunds, i still didnt get a logical response for their action. And also since they were insisting that they had refunded the money, i checked my accounts and there was no refund transaction. Anyways my experience with clay wasnt too good, but now am sure, that iwont be using their services at all in the near future.

          I got myself a clay sim card for malaysia after reading a lot about their effortless connectivity and affordability. I was really hoping to get the same experience but it was quite the opposite. The sim card that i was carrying, first wasnt adjusting to my iphone. It wasnt cut properly. Somehow i managed to fit it in the slot and then there were issues with its signals. Everytime i would make a call, it would drop mid way and then take forever to register signals. For me, clay sim cards are really bad and there is an unnecessary hype created around their service. It isn’t that great, infact its really poor.

            Please check 10 times before you decide to go ahead with Clay’s student plans. My dad wanted me to be connected the moment i landed in UK and for that he got me a clay sim card especially designed with a student plan. It was all good initially everything was wrking fine and then just before we got our first bill, these ppl would call me at odd hours in the day to pay my dues or else they would disconnect my services. When my father ultimately scolded the sales person who got us the sim, they stopped and emailed us a bill of 19000/- for a month. When asked for a detailed copy, they took 10 ddays to send that across which showed a total of 10, 000/-. We learnt our lesson in the first month of Clay’s service only and settled the contract after that. It was a lesson learnt. Its better to get a sim card from closer to ur uni as they have better offers.

              I was travelling to USA for 5 days and bought a sim card from Clay, thinking it will help me in my future travels also . It was really a big mistake. Firstly i paid Rs 2150 only to buy the sim with data and 2 recharges. The amount that was supposed to reflect post a recharge never really happened. Their customer support really not supportive of anything. They didnt even recharge my number that i had previously charged my number with. So if you are ready to let go of your money, and also experience really poor services, pls go ahead and buy this sim card. For me, i will never buy it nor recommend this service to any of my friends.

                It is as good as not using a service than using a Clay Sim card.. we had a terrible experience with using a clay sim for Europe. Their idea of a pre paid card is not as useful as i thought it would be. For most of the days, there was perpetually no reception in my phone. I tried whatever their customer support team asked me to, while nothing really helped. Ultimately they stopped taking my calls and i was left with a sim card that just didnt work. It is literally wasting money than convenience. Very bad experience

                  This company came to our college for selling international sims as our whole batch was about to leave for an exchange trip to US.As a part of procedures, they were asked to provide a list of handsets that were not supported so as to inconvenience . They missed my model in their list and admitted it later by the time i was in US. Then they themselves suggested within a eek that i should stop using their services and can look for a refund after I return to India. When I came back, Mr.Arun Yadav was supposed to share the details which got generated after the 10th of August, which was the Invoice. However, after multiple calls, messages, and more than 30 emails later, neither he nor any of his teammates who were marked on them cared to respond. This includes Mr.Ganesh Suvarna who was privy to this.

                  He replied curtly by saying that is a handset issue and not a sim issue after following up for over a month, and the company cannot do anything about it. The response came after I threatened for action. Mr.Yadav, Meanwhile, is not traceable at all.

                  I believe that it was misleading information that led to me purchase that sim, and caused immense inconvenience in the US once the Issue was discovered. If i stop using the services because of a mistake on the part of the company, and return the SIM, I should get back my refund of amount paid in advance by the Company.

                  Please also suggest what are the grounds of legal remedy under 'caveat emptor' under the Indian Sales of goods act 1930, in this case, as companies like these should be punished for their unprofessional and misleading behaviour.

                  Recently I went to Thailand for a cousin wedding. I took the Clay Telecom post paid plan with internet so I can send mother pictures as she couldn’t come with us. Clay telecom number did not work anywhere! Useless no! And when I complaint the customer care was rude! Never using this again!

                    I'd like to place a complaint against Clay Sim cards for their really poor services in Europe…I was of the opinion of carrying my Indian number but my husband insisted that we take a Clay sim card after his enough research on the internet.. Unlike whatever that he read on the internet, our experience was super bad.. That European Clay Sim didn’t work properly in Netherlands, was fluctuating in Paris and same was the case in Germany. I have never seen such fake network signals anywhere.. There were signals but still somehow we couldn’t make or take any calls.. Despite having a local number from Clay, we were using the pay phones to call back home.. Honestly it was frustrating using a clay sim card… Doubt that after this experience we’d be using any of this.. Plus they are really not that affordable also.. so think twice before making this choice.. .

                      Don’t go for clay international sim cards!! I had bought their uk sim card and i was assured that the sim was working just fine and that’s why their sales guy, rajiv didn’t check in front of me.. To my surprise when i landed in london and switched the sim cards, this clay sim didn’t work for atleast 2 hours to begin with, which led to enough confusion and chaos cos my staff was picking me up.. I had made my initial complaint of this sim card troubles with their customer care right after i got to office and i was assured that they are looking into it and it wasn’t something that i should be worried about. After 3 days my sim stopped working completely leaving me embarrassed in front of my partners as that was the number they had to contact me and it wasn’t working.. It was really embarrassing and very poor services that were extended to someone who had paid a lot hoping to stay connected… i will ensure that i share this experience with everyone and warn them against such poor services by clay sims.

                      Useless SIM and waste of time, took Clay SIM for my UK trip, they had given me a postpaid plan I hardly used it and they slapped me a bill of Rs 30K saying i have used data and charged my credit card, upon asking they sent a bill so called itemised bill which says a one line video streaming 22K. Never trust these guys

                        I had opted for the Clay Buzz 15 days Unlimited data plan for my business trip to Europe in the month of May for a period of 2 weeks.

                        In spite of being an unlimited data plan, I was charged Rs.4, 650 for data usage and the amount deducted from my Credit card.

                        On contacting them for this error, they acknowledged it and mentioned they will reverse the amount in 7 days... now after 2 months of numerous calls and emails to all the email ids possible, they have decided on their own to reverse only Rs.1, 857 as a credit note without any justification or break up on this amount.

                        I need an explanation on why the complete amount which was wrongly charged has not been reversed and I want it to be reversed on my credit card.

                        The response from each and every person from this company post this sim purchase has been absolutely pathetic with no care or responsibility at all.

                        We have blocked CLAY in our company as a sim provider to officials travelling abroad.

                        I am really sick of their careless attitude and complete lack of professional conduct.

                          Hi,

                          I had purchased a sim card at hyderabad international airport on july 18th 2016.
                          The representative promised that i would have 1gb 3g data and 2000 minutes to india and 2000 local minutes in usa.

                          Following are the issues:
                          1. The service representative assured that i would receive a receipt of purchase, but it was not sent to my email id till date.
                          2. Initially the voice incoming and outgoing was not working, but after we reported (On 19th july) the problem by calling to customer care center, they activated the services.

                          The problems are never ending. Every alternate day the services are stopped. Neither incoming or outgoing works. I have been sending emails since that day but the issue is not resolved. When questioned they say i already reached my fup limit and are refreshing my services.

                          I am pretty confident that i haven't used up 2000 minutes (~33 hours) in just 10 days.
                          When i asked to send my accounting details they say we dont have that information. Without having that information how can you say that i have already used upto my limit?

                          I am fed up with the service and asked to close the connection and give a confirmation.
                          I have been sending emails to the following people for the past 14 days (But no one responds.

                            Clay telecom has the worst customer service that i have seen so far! I am still trying to get my $100 refunded that i had used to recharge my phone some 3 months back, but because my sim stopped working all together i couldn’t use the money!! None of their customer care people have been of any help. They just keep transfereing my call to someone new everytime that i call them. And till date i have got no constructive answer from their end. Its really disappointing that u make money off your customers like this! For all friends, please do not go for clay telecom!

                              I went on a vacation to koh samui and bought a clay sim card to call home. I was on a fixed rental plan for about a week with data and all that i had asked for. I have returned the sim card and also now when am seeing my bill almost after a month, i see that these guys have over charged me and nothing is calculated basis the plan that was sold to me…!! The bill includes calls to numbers in india that i don’t even recognize let alone making them! Out of my total bill of rs 9000/- more than 50% is wrong.. Honestly really pissed off with this kind of a service.. Horrible experience and honestly would never recommend clay sims, to anyone for their travel needs. …

                                During my one month visit to uk. I used this and now slapped with a big fat bill in my face.. I was put on a monthly rental plan and a lot of things became cheaper because of this.. But swhen i scanned my bill, my rentals were as per the plan but then call rates and text messages were charged erratically. For most of the times i was on wifi and yet they charged extra data charges of some 5000 rs in the bill which i didn’t use.. I have been following up with their team for almost 15 days now and there has been no response or how would they refund this all… pls do not purchase this and go abroad.. There is no convenience attached really..

                                  I went on a vacation to singapore and decided to use clay telecom to call home. This company has been the worst when it comes to financial values. They have over charged me, which is not as per plan! The bill includes calls which i have not even made! This is a horrible company and honestly would never recommend these cheaters, who took money, to anyone ever!

                                      On 3rd july morning, i took an international sim card from chennai international airport clay sales counter. they took rs 1210/ and did not give any receipt. i was told e receipt will be sent to my mail id, which i have provide to them. first, he put one sim and it did not work and then, he changed with another one and when it asked for some confirmation, the shop person told me that it will work once you reach abroad.

                                      I tried using the card after reaching colombo, and i could not get any of the net works and numbers in colombo and india.

                                      I had to buy local airtel card and things were fine.

                                      The shop is handled by persons, who could not explain any thing.

                                      They told me that money will be refunded if the card did not work abroad. i am waiting to get across to the shop for getting refund.

                                      I wish this mail is noticed by some one responsible in the organization and the problem is addressed and i get refund of the cash i paid. to avoid such occurrences, kindly keep some persons in the counter who is knowledgeable in the subject.

                                        Don’t go for clay telecom ever! they are the biggest frauds one can come across, believe me. i have taken their international calling card and they billed me over and above the call plan and after so many follow ups, no action taken yet! the simcard didnt worked for 15 days of my 20 days of travel and yet i'm being charged way above what i should be. very dissapointed and will never sue again!
