[Resolved]  Airtel / Postpaid Mobile Bill — unauthorised charges (Mob- [protected])

My complaints are:

1) Without my permission Call conference service has been activated on my number, for which I am paying a rental of Rs.49.00 from last 4 months. Even after requesting for deactivating this service (Taheer talked to me, in this regard), the charges are again there on my bill this month.
2) The charges of Rs.450 (in sep), Rs.120 (in Oct) and some more in months of August are imposed on my number on the account that, I have sent messages of these amounts to 58888 (which is indiatimes number to get cricket scores), but I haven’t sent any single message to this number.

This is Ashok, working in cognizant, i am the customer for Airtel since from last six months,

Mistake has been done from your side, while surfing my creidit card in the month of MAY,

My bill was 1207.00Rs but they have swipped 1609.00, this i came to know in the Credit

Card Statement, which i need to pay the interest now, and they swipped my amount 1207.00 in other

credit Card. and the no is [protected].

I am starying in Tambaram, i have contacted Triplicane Airtel Branch which i paid the bill in the month of

May.and thrice i went till now i didnt get any feedback.

it will be helpful if you take any action and i want my money back.

My number is [protected] and I have been using this number since the last 6
years now. Till the month of March 2009 I have been a prompt payer of my
bills. In the month of November 2008 I had first called up to give a
complaint about the network coverage or rather the lack of it near my
office. My office is situated on Mysore Road right next to Gopalan Mall. At
the point of time your executive told that it will be rectified within a
month or so. Even after that I have repeatedly made complaints regarding
the same.

Even after that I have been paying my bills on time till March 2009. I gave
a call in the month of May on the 2nd and spoke to Mr. Prashanth who is
supposedly one of your Floor Managers and appraised him about the
situation. I also told him that since I do not get the proper service I
shall not pay the bill. I also told him that I am incurring additional
expenses since I have to call back my clients either from my mobile or from
my landline due to call dropping. Mr.Prashanth promised me that by the 26th
or the 27th of May I shall be getting a call from the technical department
which has never come till date. Again I called back and advised that I
shall pay only when the service gets rectified and asked your people not to
bar my outgoing calls.

On the 23rd of June I spoke to Mr.Parthasarathy another Floor Manager after
I found that my outgoing calls were barred. I spoke to him and asked as to
why this has been done since my complain is pending since 7 months now. He
in fact promised me that he will look into the matter and shall reactivate
my outgoing within 24 hrs since he does not have the authority to
reactivate it now.

On the 24th of June at around 12:00 Noon when I called up and spoke to
Mr.Raghavendra he told that Mr.Parthasarathy has mentioned in the notes
stating that unless I pay up my dues my outgoing going facility is going to
remain deactivated.

Now I just have one question to ask. Are all your employees totally devious
and misleading when it comes to customer care? Does the company have any
sense of ethics and customer relationship? I definitely do not agree with
your underhand methods and devious means of catering to the customer.

Out of sheer frustration I shall be making the payment but you guys can be
assured of the fact that I shall definitely be taking this issue further.

By the way you guys can change the catchline in your ad from Atoot Bandhan
Atoot Network to Toota Bandhan Toota Network.

I will be awaiting a reply from your side at the earliest.

i have paid my bill and it is 23 hrs and my phone is still not activated and i have made 5 complaints to cuctomer care but they keep saying it will get activated in another half an hour i am fed up with airtel services. one of the worst customer services i have come across
i have received so many calls from customer care enquiring about my e mail address to send the bill but till date i have not received a single bill . It is 3 months since i opted airtel connection . But now i have paid the bill and still my phone is deactivated since 23 hrs.

It is regarding GPRS activation on this mobile ([protected]), which hjas been activated without my consent.on calling customer care repeatedly, they said waiver will be passed in the next month bill.so i paid the bill of may (billing date:7-4).but surprisingly, i was shocked to see the rental for GPRS in the next bill(june).spoke with customer care executive, information was given that no GPRS is active on my no.So how could i receive the bill of 100rs as rent for GPRS service for the 2 months.(may, june).ATOOT BANDHAN CONTINUED IN NEXT BILL, i.e FROM 4-5 JULY.SAME WAS REPEATED.AGAIN A BILL OF RS 100 FOR GPRS.I WASTED MY TIME CALLING UR CUSTOMER CARE AND EVEN VISITING THE AIRTEL OFFICE.ACTUALLY I NEED TO GET WAIVER OF RS 200 FOR MONTHS OF MAY AND JUNE. SO I DIDNT PAID IT IN MY BILL. hi this is kishore goud i had taken airtel postpaid connection on dec 2008 [protected] after one month telecallers from airtel said i got a offer to take two more connections as add on connection.[protected], [protected] are the numbers, so I changed the [protected] number to prepaid clearing all the bills on it, one mistake what i had done is giving [protected] to my friend what he had done is he made a bill of 3000/- for first month i asked him about this but that gone in vain after five days i called to customer care and told them to cancel outgoing and incoming calls to that number, they agreed for that and disconnected the number after that they gave new bill for around 9000/-.After all this story the telecaller sangita<[protected]> called me to harassing me to pay the bill and disconnected my prepaid number [protected] and said she is going to put me jail.I said them to give some concession for the one which I said to disconnect and after that one the airtel person ajay<[protected]> said u got a viewer of 30% from main branch and said to pay the bill of 6787/-Rs which I had paid to Mrs Srinivas<[protected]> they said to collect the settlement letter on 2nd of july and after that if I call to them no one gives reply to me and who is going to give my setelment letter and connection to my prepaid number [protected] .

My name is prabhu my mobile num is [protected] i got a connection from coimbatore.
Your airtel excutive gave commitment like there no charges for the above num but in my first month bill
500rs has been charged i have info to your customer care excutive after that 10 airtel excutive called me but no revert for your side i got the sim card for my business.Now line has been suspended today your collection excutive came to my he also asking the same ques y u did't pay the bill pls help to close this issue ASAP Your customer care excutive not helping me. I belive atleast you can help me...

airtel service is not at all good when it comes to the billing part. they do not accept cheques. they prefer cash. being such a renowned company, they should accept cheques.they tell to drop the cheques in their drop box. last time i have done that, i droped a cheque worth 1600, SBI, AMBAZARI BRANCH in drop boxAGAINST MY BILL AMOUNT 1300/-they stopped the service for non payment. then when i spoke to one of their executive, he said it will take 48 hoursor 2-3 days to start the service as they activated the service on clearance of cheque. then after 3-4 days they activated my phone. i assumed that my cheque has been cleared.

but the case was not so they presented the cheque later (late) and unfortunately at that instance there was deficit balance in my account.how iam to keep track of day to day balance in my account.i assumed the cheque of 1600 got cleared because they activated my service.but the cheque got bounched they charged me 75 rupees and sent notice . now tell me is there no such rule that you give a cheque on one specific date it should be presented within a week time.because late presentation of cheque creates lot of problems and the other party takes undue advantage of this provision.

if you just see my airtel payment record, i have always paid promptley and regularly till april 2009.

As i have paid the post paid monthly bill on 3rd of july 09, they have disconnected the connection[protected]without information & i have contacted the customer care executive, they have informed stating that they have not updated in their system. so they have disconnected the connection. After 24 hrs & so many times i have contacted the customer care executive they are not rectifying the problem.
