In spite of my paying the money( Rs 25798/-) as advised by you vide ID[protected], I have still not got the Gold gift box and the projector with Phillips Home theatre free I have ordered. Also I would like to mention that an extra payment of Rs 5980/- vide Id[protected] was made for the Gold gift box against which I have received 20 Reebok watches.I had never ordered the watches.I had again paid an amount of Rs 2298/- vide Id ref[protected] as I was advised to pay for closing the file.I have received Reebok Shoes against this payment. As per you mail I was supposed to get my Gold gift box within 12-15 working days. It is a month that I have made the payment and the product and the Gold gift box is still awaited.

I would therefore wish to get back the money paid by me. Please arrange for the refund. I get a feeling that your company is cheating the customers.I have seen so many complaints in the site of https://www.consumercomplaints.in. Many loyal customers of India Today have been cheated. I cannot wait any longer. Please arrange to refund my money immediately.

In case i do not get any respnse from your company in the next 48 hours I shall be compelled to hand over the case to my solicitors who would directly interact with you. Any damages in this regard will have to be entirely borne by your company.

ITBC | Fraudsters and Cheats | Proposal for a Class Action Suit

I am Sujata Garimella.

Like you, I too trusted the India Today name and had ordered stuff from ITBC. My experience was awful. I did not get what I ordered for. I did not get the promised "extras". And I did not get any solution either.

This whole nightmare started in September 2009 for me.

To top it all they still keep calling me.

I plan to sue them for Rs. 10 lakhs. I have started an action against them and would like more victims of ITBC's dirty tricks to join in because there is a lot of strength in numbers.

That way we can reach the maximum number of people in the shortest period of time and quickly initiate legal proceedings.

I hope we have 10, 000 people and then, if not getting the money we can at least ensure that the company closes down.

Im Sudahakar, a Naval Officer, u people informed me that ive won a Gold box of Rs.1.0 Lakh, for this ive paid Rs.18, 200/- in the month of July 10. for which ive recd a LCD, but no gold box till now. I was told that within 09 working days im supposed to get. Why is there so much delay? Im repenting after reading the complaints of my predecessors, that u people have such a bad reputation. ii)Vide order No.[protected], booked 22"Samsung LCD Colour TV, by paying Rs.17699/-through HDFC Bank Credit Card, To cancel the order due to domestic reasons beyond control, and it was requested to credit Rs.17699/-against HDFC Credit Card Account immediately.The Order was cancelled on 23.07.2010 But till date Rs.17699 not credited in my account.and every time above executive give misleading information.
iii)Holiday package for Rs.7000/-order No.[protected] cancelled due to domestic reasons, cancellation order No.594394, but till date Rs.7000/-not credited in my HDFC Credit Card account.executive when contacted give misleading information.
All the above cases are worst examples of frauds commited by executives of India today Group.
Once again I the undernamed request for immediate action from your end please to avoid further legal action.

I have placed an order for Ragas 16-CD, which also promises gifts worth Rs. 15999 absolutely free - (i) diamond jewellery gift voucher worth Rs. 5000, (ii) Reebok sunglasses worth Rs. 3999, (iii) 8 bestsellers worth Rs. 2000 or more & (iv) a holiday stay for a couple for 3days/2nights stay with veg meals worth Rs.5000/-. My cheque No. 033946 dated 01.06.2010 on Central Bank of India for Rs. 2498/- (inclusive of handling charges of Rs. 500/-) had been encashed by ITBC in early July' 2010.

However, I'm yet to receive any CD-pack or gift items. Is this a simple eyewash? Has the company ever thought about this gimmick - how this in turn is going to affect the reputation of the company?

You are requested to look into the matter on priority basis, otherwise the matter will be put forward to Consumer Forum and definately it's going to affect the reputation.

Till now i have only recieved 4 wrist watches of Reebok make in 2 parcels of 2 each on 3-9-2010 through Living Media India Limited, India Today Book Club.
Whenever i phone complain i am told that your server is not functioning .
I have a feeling i have been cheated. I have no option but complain to Consumer Forum, with the evidence available vide Vodaphone, email recd, bank details and Living Media reciept.
I shall also give all the details of your cheating to all the leading newspapers, and file a case against THE INDIA TODAY GROUP, in case I do not get any reply from you in the next 48 hours.

Please note that i am working as a senior executive in a defense organisation and i will certainly take action as may be deemed, to get justice.

The above is the Confirmation mail Which i had recived on 27th of august on booking a reebok kit consisting of a pair of shoes, a towel, bag, watch etc. for which i was given a prize diamond vouchers worth rs 2 lakhs n was made to pay 16 000 rs as service tax. but i dint get those gold vouchers. n plus from the above list i have got two tshirts from mtv which has to be of reebok. both r of same colours. plus dint get four reebok watches as per mentioned above... when mi gonna get my values for which i have paid.. or should i jus wait... I received leaflet from IndiaToday Book Club through the mail received from Reader's Digest.There were various offer in that leaflet and 16 CDs of various Ragas at the cost of Rs.2498/- (inclusive of every thing) was one of it.I opted for CDs and sent the above amount vide account payee cheque no. 404160 date 20/05/2010.The said amount was debited to my account in Oriental Bank of Commerce at Bhubaneswar.Till today i am yet to receive those C.Ds

I have placed an order for SAMSUNG LCD TV, Order No.: 0GA[protected].
I have received the free sunglass and Reebok Watch.
But, when i tried for the free gift vouchers in the website, www.bookstoday.in/promos.html, it is saying that the said website doesnot exist.
Friends, please tell me, What I have to do to claim my free gift vouchers.

1.2.During Jun/Jul 2009 I had ordered through SMS for books&Reebok Sunglasses(order No :[protected] and on 05 Aug 09,First flight couries of Chennai had info me about the parcel b ut till date not delivered.(Parcel booking No : [protected]) 2. Again 0n 08 Dec 09 sent aHDFC bank Cheque No 158260 for Rs 2199/- for further books & free gifts and some courier service had contacted my residence about the parcel(Ref No ITBC[protected] but the parcel has not been delivered till date. I have sent a number of complaint letter and e-mails but no reply has been received.

I receive all above item except Rs.50, 000-00 Gold Voucher.

After 15 days I receive call back from India today club, Once again they told me, I want pay Rs. 7, 498-00 as tax amount for Rs.50, 000-00 Gold voucher, Transaction ID for this order is[protected], for that tax amount what I pay (1 Mtv T-shirt, 1 Mtv Sun glass, 1 Reebok shoe, 1set Reebok jogging suit, 1 Reebok 1/4th pant and 10 times free entry and food pass for night pub), I receive all above items except Rs.50, 000-00 Gold Voucher, free entry and food pass for night pub)
For paying cash as credit bill I am suffering a lot please send me Rs.50, 000-00 Gold Voucher as soon as possible
