[Resolved] Maruti A Star Car — Rusting of Engine parts

The aboveMaruti A Star car was delivered to me on 20/8/2010 6:00PM from Popular automobiles Muvattupuzha. The fixing of accessories was not completed on that time. Since I requested them to issue the vehicle Friday itself . The sales persons of Popular Vehicles Popular Automobiles Muvattupuzha assured me that they will complete the fixing of all accessories on 21/8/2010. Since its is late, I do not inspected the engine compartment.
In my journey to home I noticed that there is considerable reduction in pulling when AC is switched on. There is severe noise from AC. When I reached home I inspected the engine compartment. It was observed that the engine cover and other metallic parts are in corroded condition.. Suspects mettallergical defect of engine
On 21/8/2010 I lodged this complaint to Regional office Kerala and entrusted the car to Popular automobiles Muvattupuzha. By 10 PM they returned the vehicle after buffing the top cover on engine. There is some reduction in the sound from ACThe other aluminium parts of engine have piting due to corrosion. I examined some vehicles at dealer point, All the K10 engines are prone to corrosion and pitting (the corrosion of other cars compared to my car is very negligible). This may lead to leakage in future. If the corrosion continues like this at least 30% of engine cover will damage and oil leak may develop. The corrosion of K10 engines is to be investigated by Maruti engineers. Wagon R, and Estilo have same problem
The attitude of Populat automobiles Muvasttupuzha is far from satisfactory level. They provided one second hand spoiler (Rs.5500) for my car, and informed me that they will repaint it in first service. We are purchasing accessories from dealer to get genuine Maruti spares. But they provided second hand accessories. Even though I had paid for parcel trays they have not yet provided the same. I asked them to refund the amount they are not refunding the same. They had given a bill for door visor set (not provided) and asked me to pay at the time of registration - I have not paid the bill.
