[Resolved] SBI Sector 22-C Chandigarh — Nondisbursement of Pension for 12/2009
Ssurinder Mohan Passi
To 119, Sector21A
State Bank of India,
Sector 22-C, Chandigarh.
Subject: - Disbursement of Pension for 12/2009-
I retired as Superintendent, Treasuries and Accounts
Branch, Finance Department Haryana Chandigaarh on 31.1.1995
and ever since 1st February 1995 I have been drawing my monthly
pension from the State Bank of India (Treasury Branch) Sector 17
Chandigarh on authorizations from the Treasury Officer Haryana
Treasury, Sector 17, Chandigarh.
My PPO No.58962/HR was forwarded to your bank by the
Treasury Officer Haryana Treasury, Sector 17, Chandigarh through the S.B.I
(Treasury Branch) Sector 17, Chandigarh, around 8th. December 2009.The
procedural formalities e.g. filing of the requisite affidavit and the undertaking
as per requirements of the SBI Sector 22 Branch were completed by the
21st December and the papers were handed over to Mr.Vishal Gautam,
concerned officer of your Branch for further necessary action in regard to the
disbursement of my pension right from 1st December 2009 onwards through
credit to my joint S.B. Account No[protected] (operative with your Bank
ever since 1992).
However on verification of the Credits in my Savings Fund
Account No[protected] it was found that my pension 12/2009 was not
credited in above S.B A/C and on enquiry from Mr Gautam it was gathered
confirmation had been sought from your SBI Panckula Branch. The SBI
Panckula had nothing to do with the disbursement of my pension, particularly
when both the Parts of PPO58962/HR (Disburser Half/Pensioner Half) were
sent by the Treasury Officer, Haryana Treasury Sector 17 Chandigarh through
SBI Treasury Branch Sector 17, Chandigarh, (the nodal branch designated
for such purposes)
. Hayana Treasury Sector 17 Chandigarh is a District level Treasury
for the disbursements///receipts of Haryana State, accruing at Chandigarh, through
SBI Sector 17(Treasury Branch), which renders daily disbursements/receipts
accounts on behalf of the Haryana State at Chandigarh, independently and the
Panchkula Branch of SBI or Treasury .Officer Panchkula have nothing to do with
In view of the above factual position it is not understood as
to what confirmation from the SBI Panckula Branch was required when they
have never ever been involved.
It is therefore requested that my pension for December 2009
.may be credited to my Savings Fund Account No[protected] forth with and (PTO) 1/1
in the event some confirmation is required from the Nodal Branch of SBI Sector 17 Chandigarh it may be had at personal level so as to avid any further harassment to me.
Incidentally, I had also submitted an application in your bank for the issue
of an ATM Card, in which all the details about my residential address etc had been
furnished. It is strange that in my latest copy of the passbook (which
is in continuation of the original one) the details of my address were
not incorporated by the concerned official of your Bank In this regard photo copies
copies of the first two pages of both the pass books are enclosed for necessary
action at your end and the dispatch of my ATM card as also the secret pass- word
at the earliest.
You will recall that I also apprised you about the position of
of my case on phone today.
