Dear Sir / Madam,
My daughter, Shalini Sharma had applied for the post of Primary Teacher, Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB). The envelope containing the application of my daughter was booked on 9th January, 2010 from Sarojini Nagar Post Office, New Delhi - 110 023 vide receipt No. ED[protected]IN. The last date of submission of form by post or in person was 15th January, 2010, without fail. The Speed Post was to be delivered to DSSSB Office situated at Karkardooma, Delhi - 110 092. To my utmost surpirse, the speed post was not delivered to the Examination body even by the due date, which was 15th January, 2010 and was returned at my residence on 22nd January, 2010 bearing stamp "Refused Returned to Sender". Even more surprsingly, there were six working days in between the booking of Speed Post and the last date set by the DSSSB was[protected]. Later on, when I came to know that the said Speed Post did not reach its destination, I took up the matter with the Post Master, Sarojini Nagar Post Office, New Delhi. He informed that the Speed Post was delivered from there in time and reacher Krishna Nagar Post Office on 10th January, 2010 but it was found lying unattended at Krishna Nagar Post Office, Delhi, which is hardly at stone throw away distance from the DSSSB's office.
Due to the negligence on the part of the Postal authorities, one very crucial year of my daughter's career got spoiled. In this competitive world, getting even one chance is a hard nut to crack and moreover, this was very crucial chance in respect of my daughter to begin her career. Now, her career is at stake that too without her mistake. I strongly protest the working of the Postal Department that they take hardly any interest in this kind of crucial matters even.
At this stage, my daughter is in shock and depressed for not taking the examination and her precious one year of carreer is spoiled, which is purely due to the negligence of duties on the part of Postal Department. Though, the lost time can never be retrieved, but stern action against the negligent staff can be taken so that in future no other child face this agony.
Seeking an early reply from your side.
sincerely yours,
(Shanti Swaroop Sharma)
