This is with reference to order ID – OD[protected] [Philips GoGear Tapp 8 GB MP4 Player]. I was delivered the product today (20/Jan/2015) and am extremely disappointed with its quality. For an MP4 player priced at Rs. 6, 150/- what I am offered is - pathetic sound quality, below average resolution for videos, non-responsive touch panels and highly inefficient supportive accessories (data cable, charger and headphones).
As per the product description, I was also supposed to receive a 2GB memory card which was missing from the package altogether.
No sane customer would have ever agreed to that bargain and hence, I immediately called up the customer care department to get the product exchanged but then I was told that since the delivered product has only ‘Replacement Guarantee’, it can only be ‘replaced’ and not ‘exchanged’. Now for an amateur online shopper like me, the terms need to be clear enough on site such as – ‘No Exchange/Only Replacement’ to keep the customer informed of what he/she is getting into. Moreover, a company in shopping business is not expected to be that rigid with the return and exchange policies. All the major e-commerce sites across the board allow much more customer friendly procedures for such cases.
Anyhow, keeping faith in Flipkart’s customer friendly ethics I would like to request to either refund my money or
if not possible, then at least allow me to get this shoddy product exchanged for something of the same or higher value.
Request you to look into the matter ASAP.
