While activating, they will never say anything reg. proration (if you are activating 2G pack in the mid of month, they will take half amount of pack for billing and they will give half data amount only. Not sure if I may be a one-off customer when I say Idea 3G speed isn't good. In India, Idea 3G may be better in terms of speed as compared to other service providers, but having stayed outside India most of the time, I know the way 3G works, performs and serve its customers on the speed front.
