Reminder I and Copy of Complaint I Mr. R N Sawant Mapuca Goa have written a complaint through your complaint book at THIVIM station against the ticket booking staff Mr. Jadhav on 08.09.2014 whose talk was very rude and insulting. He gave me VERY bad words and also told me to go for begging to get change of Rs. 500/-.He after abusing me threatened me that he would kill me when I asked for a complaint book and told him THAT THIS IS NOT THE LANGUAGE OF KONKAN RAILWAY.. He also said that you Goans are nothing but beggers.This incident took place at 6.30 AM when I wanted to take a window ticket to go to Mumbai by Netravati Train. The matter was brought to the notice of the Station Master but he expressed his helplessness . I believe you have not initiated any action in this regards. I hereby request you to let me know your office decision of action taken against the staff by 22nd Sept failing which I shall be forced to file Police complaint against the said staff and give vide publicity in the local newspaper. I request you treat the MATTER AS MOST URGENT. R N Sawant [protected]

    i book my hero honda pleasure via luggage from nagpur to mangaon but not recieved yet ..what should i do now... i called luggage office of mumbai cst they said that luggage send via konkankanya exp..but my luggage not unloaded at mangaon and directly reached at madgaon(goa) now what shoud i do??? plz provide madgaon parcel office no my details name-vinod sukhadeve mob-[protected] pnr no-[protected]

      I had booked 4 tickets for return journey from Ratnagiri to Thane from Dombivli reservation window as per particulars here under: Train No.:11004/Rajya Rani Express. Date: 24/8/2014. Ticket No.: 62724836. PNR No.:[protected]. SL coach S2- seat No.:18, 19, 21, 22.Reservation fee Rs 80/- & Total fare Rs 860/- boarding at Ratnagiri schedule departure on 24/8/2014 at 21:20 Due to derailment of goods train between Veer & Karanjadi station on early morning of sunday i.e. on 24/8/2014 our train was delayed by 12-14 hrs.But our urgent work at Mumbai on 25/8/2014, we had to return back as early as possible from Ratnagiri & hence we accepted to journey with ST bus. After returning at Dombivli, I visited the ticket window for cancellation of the same ticket, they refused to refund due to late submission even though the train had not arrived at Thane station.Kindly do the needful.

Full refund was given to passengers having window tickets at that time itself and those having internet ticket like me were been told that we will get refund directly after filing TDR.           To Team Konkan Railways,

          This letter is with regards to the extremely low and substandard quality of food supplied in Konka Kanya Express (Train No: 10112) from Madgaon to CSTM on 24th July, 2014.
          Please make a note of our details:

          Train: Konkan Kanya Express (Train No: 10112)
          Date of journey: 24th July, 2014
          Source to Destination: Madgaon to CSTM
          Coach: 3-Tier AC

          The following food items served to us from the Pantry very extremely substandard in quality and inappropriate for consumption. The food was just not in condition to be eaten by any person.

          Compliant booklet no. 9761: Vegetable Pulaav, Paratha and Curd
          Compliant booklet no. 9762: Chicken chilly, Packaged Water Bottle, Vegatable Pulav, Paratha

          Other food items supplied from Pantry in our coach were also extremely substandard.
          All other passengers did a verbal compliant about the bad quality of food to the then Pantry Incharge - RAMU SINGH.

          RAMU SINGH was extremely rude to all o[censored]s and kept on arguing with us for over an hour and kept refusing to give us the Compliant Book to register a compliant against bad food.
          When threatened by us to lodge his compliant to Ratnagiri Station Master, only then did we receive the Compliant book from RAMU SINGH.

          We as regular passengers of Konkan Railway do not expect such pathetic catering service to the passengers as it is the question of health and well-being of all passengers. The above experience has caused a lot of nuisance to all o[censored]s.

          I Subhash Samant am writing on behalf of me and my 2 other co-passengers. I have attached copies of complaints registered by us (Nos. 9761 and 9762) and signed by RAMU SINGH for your immediate action.

          Please take a serious note of this pathetic food supply in Konkan Kanya Express and update us with what action you will be taking against all the bad experience we had to go through because of shoddy food service and rude behaviour of the Pantry Incharge.

            Day01...01 st july 2014) time table information display board Madgaon railway station displays the timing of kulem - vasco passenger ETA -0747 HRS, but train arrives at madgaon at 0715 hrs without any announcemnet and Surprisingly departs before ETD Day 02 (18 July 2014.) ... as per same display board at same station (madgaon), once again ETA of kulem -vasco passenger is 1348 hrs And train arrives at 1315 hrs without any announcement and Departs before ETD. MY STANDING...I ArrIved at madgaon railway station at 1205 hrs on 18 July 2014 by Konkan kanya ex. went to platForm no 1 and purchased tIcket foR vasco and confirmed the ETA of kulem Vasco passenger, it was 1348 hrs. I Waited for oNe hour foR train oN plateform no 1 at arroUnd 1315 hrs train Arrived on plateform no 2 without any announcement, i couldnt board the tRain bcoz of different plateform! When I informed to on duty station master, surprisinglY he said he is aware of the wrong Inforfation displayed on the board

              I am a frequent traveller by this train from the Karmali station. During my journey on this route I have noticed that the train runs peacefully, without much of wait listed/general ticket passengers up to Chiplun, and once the train reaches Khed, lot of passengers with general compartment ticket enter the sleeper class and argue with the reservation passengers. They literally force the passengers to seat, if they are sleeping. They do not allow 3 people to occupy one seat, specially some of the gent passengers pass comments, make fun, and finally six to seven people adjust themselves onto a seat. They climb the upper birth and seat there. They block the way to toilet, even stand in the space between the seats. All the requests fall on the deaf years and the journey from Khed till mumbai becomes a nightmare. and after Khed no ticket checker is ever seen. The crowd is so bad, that there is fear that someone can die due to suffocation. The ticket charges for sleeper class are same as night train, but most of the passengers, can neither sleep nor seat comfortably after Khed. Please help the long distance passengers with confirmed tickets to enjoy a comfortable journey, by taking strict and immediate action on this problem.

                I booked the 6 tickets on 26/02/2014 in train no. 12051 JANSATABDI EXP. from THANE to MADGAON for the date 14/04/2014. The PNR no. of the same is [protected]. The same train was terminated on CHIPLUN station on14/04/2014 due to derailment of goods train in the morning at UKASI station and passengers are told to take refund of their tickets by the 'STATION MASTER' of CHIPLUN. On enquiry on ticket window I was told that as your's ticket is E- TICKET we cold not refund U and U have to aply on-line for the refund. On 19/04/2014 I filed TDR for the same n also emailed to IRCTC regarding the same. The ref.no. is ekt[protected]. Unfortunately from last 2 days I tried to contact on custmer care of KONKAN RAIWAY no one is responding.

                I was on the same train and i had booked two tickets. Even i have not received the refund till date. Dont know what to do.

                  My husband and I booked tickets for journey from Thivim to Nasik Road as per particulars hereunder:- Train No.04013/VSG NDLS A/C EXP. DT. OF JOURNEY 19th Jan. 2014 Coach/ Seat Nos. B/7 Nos. 2 & 7 confd. berths The train was supposed to reach Thivim Stn. on 19th Jan.2014 at 10.15 P.M. When v reached the said platform we were told that the train scheduled to leave from Vasco at 8.40 p.m. on 19th Jan.2014 would leave 5 hrs. late rescheduled) at 1.30 am NEXT DAY (20.01.2014) v where on the platform in the bitter cold from 9.30 p.m upto 4.00 a.m. (20.01.2014) as the train began running late from Vasco itself. What is the use wasting money on AC class when v could not sleep on our berths till past 4. a m.? The train kept running late still further and reached Nasik Rd. at 6.23 p.m on 20.01.2014 when official time is 11 a.m. Due to this inordinate delay some important Banking financial transactions could not be done by us putting us into great inconvenience AND LOSS OF INTEREST ON THE AMOUNT FOR ONE DAY. V ARE SENIOR CITIZENS AND DUE TO YR. UTTER NEGLIGENCE WE UNNECESSARILY SUFFERED PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY AND MONETARILY. We call upon you to refund our total fare amount of 1202.47 (online Reservation) and also compensate us for the monetarily loss of Rs. 2000- (loss of intt on Banking transactions and cost of meals etc). Half way thru the journey there was no water also. Is this the service to passengers from your Railway?                     Despite several complaints no cognizance is taken by the railway authorities to clean or fumigate the compartments to eradicate the menace of swarming cockroaches. I was travelling from Ratnagiri to Thane on Jan Shatabdi on 27th Dec 2013 (PNR No. [protected]/ CC class ), when dinner was served by the railway caterers on the small attached table there were cockroaches everywhere. The site itself was so repulsive that no wonder next day some of our family members had stomach upsets probably due to food brought at Ratnagiri and kept in unhygienic condition. It is unfortunate that one of the largest railway network in the world does not give primary importance to cleanliness and hygiene. Pramod Mankar

                      many time i was complaint to konkan railway by email there is no facility to handicap passager at sawantwadi road railway station. if i want to reservation of railway ticket for, handicapp quota i want to go at kudal railway station because at sawantwadi rly station no facility for centralise Reservation system
                      2) there is no proper announcement of HANDICAPP compartment
                      all railway staff of sawantwadi they dont know exact position of handicapp compartment

                      pls pay attentions of KONKAN RAILWAY and solve the problem earlier as possible.

                        I was travellling with my wife in 3AC from Mumbai (LTT) to Mangalore (MAQ) on the 24/03/12 vide PNR No.[protected] (Train No.12619-Matsyagandha Exp.) was surprised to find cockroaches in our compartment B2 - seat No. 49 & 50 and same on return we found mini rats/mouse inside the compartment 2AC from Mangalore (MAQ) to Mumbai (LTT) on 26/03/12 vide PNR No.[protected] (Train No.12620-Matsyaganda Exp.) in compartment Coach A1 - seat No.25 & 26. Will the Kokan Railways ever improve and give a proper service when the rate have gone up on the said budget and to our countries dissappoint there some foreigners in the train also who was totally astonised with the sight of the mouse which is a shame to our country."KONKAN RAILWAY OFFICIALS PLEASE WAKE UP"

                          WE 2 ladies board the MADGAON PSSR (Train No: 56640) in MADGAON to travel to Udupi on 09.10.2011. In CANACON station some ladies boarded into ladies compartment. They have some packets ( I suspect it may be drugs like heroine etc) and some bags. They throwed the packets here and there above the lugauge space. and also kept those bags below the seats all over (but not with them where they are sitting.)

                          Dear Sir,

                          In last few month passengers of Konkan Railway are suffering from big problem. Because Railway has not started a single train for Konkan region people from last 10 years, and the time for same is came now, one more passenger & one more superfast train for Konkan region has to be started now. Essential time for the same is also mentioned here for your information. Many long route trains are started on this route & they are definitely essential. That train must be a superfast & can not get halt at all station in Konkan region. But all the trains must get at least two halts in Konkan region and i.e. Ratnagiri & Kudal. Kudal is middle station between Kankavli & Sawantwadi & it is also nearest station from the city. Kudal is also centre point for Kankavli, Sawantwadi, Malvan & Vengurla, especially for complete Sindhudurga district. So priority superfast trains must get halt at Kudal rather than Kankavli or Sawantwadi. All other Express trains must get halt at Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Kudal & Sawantwadi stations in Konkan region. Time to reorganize the timetable of Konkan Railway has come now. And suggestion for the same is given here with for your information. While reorganizing the timetable few things must be taken under consideration.

                          All long route trains must halt at Panvel, Kopar & Vasai Road stations. This will allow the passengers from Western, Central & Harbor line to travel by these trains. Regarding Kopar station, length of this station has to be increased & till then all these trains have to be stopped twice. But halting these trains at Kopar station will allow the Passengers from Dombivali to Badlapur region to travel from these trains. This will reduce the pressure from Konkan Kanya, Mandvi & Janashatbdi Express. Timetable of Konkan Railways trains must be displayed properly on Vasai Road, Kopar & Dombivali & Panvel stations. And it should also announce in local news papers as it is enclosed, then only all passengers come to know about it. With giving additional halts at Vasai Road, Kopar, Chiplun, Kankavli, Kudal & Sawantwadi to all these trains, these trains can run daily instead of twice or thrice in week. Even if Rajdhani Express on this route can make daily train, by giving an additional halt at Kopar. This can give two way additional passengers to Rajdhani Express & all trains running towards Gujarat, Bikaner & Amritsar. I.e. Kopar towards Vadodara, Ahmadabad, Delhi & Kopar towards Konkan, Goa & other South region. But reservation from Kopar to Ratnagiri, Kudal, Sawantwadi & Madgaon & Kopar to Vadodara must make allowed for all these trains, including Rajdhani Express. Karvar Superfast Express, Garib Rath Express & Rajdhani Express should make daily with immediate effect with suggested changes.

                          These changes can easily solve the current problems. Because, political leaders do not have any concern with the general public’s legal issues, they are just involved in making political benefits of all this issues. So I studied overall Konkan Railway timetable & recommended all these things. If you implement these entire things at the earliest, all this issues will settle down very easily.

                          One Mumbai CST (21:00) – Sawantwadi Road (8:30) & Sawantwadi (20:00) to Mumbai CST (8:00) passenger train is now definitely very essential with Konkankanya Express. And there is also big demand from last many years for direct train from Bandra Terminus to Konkan region. If, to start a train from Bandra Terminus is not possible the same train can be started from Vasai Road (22:30) to Madgaon (8:00) & Madgaon (20:00) to Vasai Road (5:00). This train must halt at Kopar station on both side journey. This train can be halt twice at Kopar, due to short length of Platform. This train can be rested at Virar in day time, where Virar – Surat train is rested in night. But, this train must be a superfast. Because then only this train can reach within less time.

                          I hope new trains will get started on or before GANESHA festival. And other changes can be effective very soon.

                          Railway time table — wrong display of train schedule

                          In the railway timetable shown inthe internet <trains at a glance> the shedule of the train No.2431 rajdhani express is reaching baroda at5.30 a.m. but it really reaches at 00.20. This makes too much disadvantage to the public when they want to receive anyone as per the time of time table.

                          Railways Panvel Station — indicator not displayed properly

                          The indicators at Panvel station does not display the details properly before departure of local trains especially in the morning. The panvel station is not clean and the access to the station from new panvels side is inadequet due to parking of two wheelers and no proper road.

                          There is one suggestion / request that below train no should get halt at THIVIM station .
                          As Thivim is the center point of goa & from there is easy to go Mapusa, Bicholim, , Calungate etc .

                          So Most of tourist also can be easy going & time saving.

                          1] TRAIN NO 12133 & 12134 MANGALORE EXPRESS / MUMBAI EXPRESS.
                          2] TRAIN NO 22113 & 22114 LTT KCVL EXPRESS / KCVL LTT SF EXPRESS.

                          So please look in to the suggestion & see it can be began from ganpati festival .

                          CHANGE THE STARTING POINT OF 22115 LTT KARMALI AC SF EXP. FROM LTT TO CST OR DADAR . IT IS DIFFICULT TO REACH LTT FROM CITY FOR NIGHT TRAINS AS TAXI IS NOT EASILY AVAILABLE AND EVEN IF THEY ARE AVAILABLE THEY ARE CHARGING MORE FARE THAN MENTIONED IN METER FARE. SECONDLY I TOTALLY AGREE WITH MANGESH VAIDYA REGARDING HALT AT KUDAL BECAUSE Kudal is middle station between Kankavli & Sawantwadi & it is also nearest station from the city. Kudal is also centre point for Kankavli, Sawantwadi, Malvan & Vengurla, especially for complete Sindhudurga district. So priority superfast trains must get halt at Kudal rather than Kankavli or Sawantwadi.
                          THIRDLY INSTEAD OF KOPAR TRAIN SHOULD HALT AT DIVA JN AS IT IS TURNING POINT FOR KONKAN RAILWAY.

                            I was travelling from Udupi to Mumbai(LTT) on October 27th in Matsyagnadha express , 3AC compartment with my family. I was shocked to see cockroaches moving around the compartment. The creatures were moving all around the compartment and it was difficult to sit. While eating food the cockroaches were moving around the seats making it a very bad experience. While sleeping at night it was very frightening as 2-3 times I had cockroaches moving near my feet. I had to wrap my children in blankets and also put cotton in their ears.

                            It seems that Konkan Railway do not clean the coaches and are not really bothered about passenger comfort.

                            The matter is very interesting and needs suitable and appropriate solution to wipe out all those things happenings in trains. IT IS NOT ONLY IN KONKAN RAILWAYS BUT IT IS A MATTER OF CONCERN IN INDIAN RAILWAYS.

                            About Cleanliness, the matter has to be put on high alert and to open the eyes of sr.officers.

                            Dear Sir,

                            Sub: Cleanliness in 2nd AC Compartment.

                            I was a passenger in 2nd AC compartment in Netravathi [Train No6346]. I boarded the train from Ernakulam Jn to travel to LTT on 03 Jan 2010. I found the garbage bin kept under the wash basin on both sides of the compartment full. Before reaching Kozhikode, both these garbage bins were so full, passengers have to push the garbage inside the bin with lot of effort. Very soon, it became impossible even to push, and the garbage were put near the bin. After some time I found that a big plastic bucket has been kept near one passage and the catering staff was putting their garbage in that. Soon this basket also started over flowing. I have taken photographs of these areas / garbage bins. The TT or any other official was taking any action to clear the garbage bin. Mr. SD Parkar official No 3440 was on duty.

                            I under stood from him that the Konkan Railway corporation has no process to clear the garbage bin from time to time or in stations. I understand that Konkan Railway is ISO certified organisation.
                            Pl take some corrective action. If I do not get a satisfactory reply, I will be publishing the photos and this letter in news papers.

                            I had similar experience in 3A, Matsyagandha on 25th jan'10 while travelling to Mangalore and return from Mangalore to Lt kurla on 1st feb 2010 (PNR no :[protected] as Mr Niraj Suvarna had on 10/11/2009. Compartments were full of cockroaches.It was so aweful that hardly anyone could sleep.
                            secondly, NO water in toilets while going to M'lore and we all had to go to next compartment thro'out the journey.

                            Thirdly, it is unbearable to even enter into toilets as there is NO EXHAUST system.One could easily design fresh air inlnets and outlets for exhaust using motion of the train, as No extra power required ( design similar to provided in local trains ).The fan provided circulates the same polluted air inside the cubicle

                            i have been traveling by konkan kanya at times 3 times a week. I have 2 issues here. The 1st one is? why do the canteen contractors Ahuja or Care catering not giving anymore water plastic pouches to passengers taking chciken thali, but give it sometimes to travelers opting for vegetable thali. Or give water pouches to both veg and non veg eaters who are travelling in A/Coaches? there were times they use to distribute to all eaters of their canteen. Are they saving on cost or making extra money on compelling the passengers to buy Mineral Water. Is it some sort of Water Scam? Railways should clarify this matter urgently.


                            2ndly .As for sure the toilet has a badly designed air ventilation toilet cubicle, and worst still its drainage system, one can see water stagnant at many corners with foul smell.


                            Lastly the garbage bins placement is just to impossible because of lack of space and so the passengers are forced to throw their garbage out of the windows. one can see while traveling in the morning trains the amount of thrash pollution that it has been doing all the route from start to the last halt. Guys imagine the waste thrown in the coming years

                            People also need to be educated stating passengers should not litter along by putting up SIGN BOARD.

                            So the question remains as to where will they throw? One way of doing it is to make the pantry contractor responsible for collecting the thrash and dispose at places assigned by the railway authorities. Remember dust bins will keep on overflowing, so pls eradicate this bin concept unless some one clears it every now n then, thus reducing the uninvited pest guest cockroach.

                            Konkan Railway — Make it Local

                            i just want to say ,that plz make konkan railway like Local upto Sawantwadi, Bcoz there are more number of passenger travel during Summer, Ganpati Festival, Diwali, and Holi and that's our special festival ,so we need it change not for 12months of year but for above ocasions only. Pl do something... there is need for providing Good traveling service and not for making milstone of konkan railway.

                            I too was travelling from mumbai to mangalore on 31st october 2011 through and fro all the AC compartments are kept so untidy the cockroaches are roaming all around us what are the train fares for if you cannot maintain our trains the toilets are so unkept there is no water no maintenance of toileteries
                            I am the pax of 12619/12620 Matsyagandha Express i travel on very sat-sun . I am a handicap person, The handicap coach is not available.
                            plz see to it you make it available.. because traveling for me in general coach is difficult...
                            during my frequent travel by konkankanya, mumbai to goa train i have noticed that the ticket checker never comes to check the tickets in 2nd class sleeper. one day while i was sleeping on my reserved upper berth a man travelling with waitlisted ticket slept near my legs on upper berth, since the TC never comes to check tickets there are lots of waitlisted passengers lurking around.

                              Hi,
                              This is regarding the 2051/2052 Jan Shatabdi Express. I see that there is a change in the time schedules for this train. As per the current time table, the train is now expected to arrive at Madgaon at 14:10 hrs. The train is supposed to depart Thivim station at 13:04 hrs.
                              This is in sharp contrast to the time-table of say 2 years ago, when the train was supposed to arrive at Madgaon at 13:30 hrs. I find it strange as the train is supposed to leave Thivim at 13:04 and arrive at Madgaon at 14:10. Does it take so much time to reach Madgaon (More than an hour for a 9-coach train)?
                              The railways claims that throughout India, trains have been speeded up. But as the case of the 2051/2052 train, the opposite seems to have happened. The railways was able to manage the tight schedule of the Jan Shatabdi till a couple of years ago, but now they are unable to do so and have actually made it a show train

                              Central Railway — Poor Management

                              I am resident of Nerul and daily I travel Andheri for my office and want to draw your attention on following:

                              1)Increasing the frequency of local trains between Panvel and Andheri for the convenience of
                              passengers.

                              2) Arrogant and rude attitude of ticket counter staff at Nerul station and inadequate ticket counters.

                              3)Normal SECOND-CLASS TICKET passengers travelling in FIRST-CLASS Compartment without any objection.

                              4) School - going children leaning out of Running Train ,Male passengers travelling in Ladies compartment.

                              Hope there will be action taken as early as possible not giving those stereotype fake promises like the Politicians.
