Sun Direct DTH service have made a fool of its customers for the last 40 days and I am a victim of the same. Now I feel cheated, fooled, betrayed and fed up with the people. Customer service exe, must have verified my details and given me the complaint nos at least 10 times during this period. Also given the assurances every time I have called up. How can any human being tolerate such indecent attitude.
I must confess and I am fed up, I must advice the promoters to shut this stupid ways. How can an organisation have no contact at higher level other than stereo type answering call centre.
Better behave and show some decency.

I wanted a new Sun direct dth connection. When I called customer care they had given a dealers number. But that mob was switched off for more than 1 day. When I called cus care again they gave some other no. which was invalid number. Then called again and got 3 different numbers.
When called the first number, they asked me to call after 1 hr.
When called the second number, a lady had attended the call and gave somebody elses number and asked me to call that person who did not attend my call.
No response from third person.

The dealers or distributors reponse is very very poor.

Now am really wondering whether I should go for sun direct.
i totally agree with above comment. I had experienced the same. Even i travelled 8 Km from my home to find any available dealer(if any). At least you are lucky to get some answer from customer. I tried for 3 days no one care to attend the call.

I fully echo this observation. The problem with call center contacts, which everyone is facing is you cannot escalate the problem to higher levels. The agents keep hearing (only) to all your problems, but does not deliver results. It is frustrating to proceed further. I have a sunDTH connection and i am fed up with their irresponsibility. I suggest all to avoid sunDTH, at any cost.

I had instaled the dish from the inception. I had encounted number of times to contact the customer service people. The dealer who is selling the recharge cards, used to give some mobile number they never respond properly and simply ask us to contact the ph no.,[protected] which i never get . for the lost few days NO SIGNAL and i am not able to recharge my account. Even i do not know how much balance in my account.
I am also having dish net in my other room for which the service is fentastic and i can call anywhare in india to contact the custemer service representative.
Ocationally if any problom the person will be at door within 6 hours though they commit 24 hrs to clear the problom.

We are using urs DTH Service in Faridabad since Nov'08. There is a problem with ur setup box, in this issue several times we reminds to ur customer care center local/onsite even though there is no responce from anybody. Now we are not in a position to watch any programmes. I request you to take it as serious and respond immediately.

I am trying to recharge a booster pack for the past 4weeks i didnot get a proper response from the customer care i have never seen such a poor network.
This should be banned i mean Sun dth conning the pooor customers .what else can you expect from the conster politicians like karunanidhi and dayanaindhi maran running this show.bloody mother[censored]ers

i totally agree with all the above customers..i am also the one who is experiencing such problem..i have got a recharge card and trying to activate it by calling customer care for more than 70 times but all the time the numbers were busy and now i am not able to catch up ipl matches..this is a poor show by sun direct..if they want to stay in business they should solve this problem immediately..what is the use of spending such huge amount of money in advertisements when they could not even offer basic service to customers..the amount i paid for recharge card is totally waste now..if you cant provide us the basic service atleast do return us the money we have paid..

Sundirect — Very Poor customer support and services

I was trying to recharge my account in sundirect via SMS and customer care, but there is no response from them.i didn't see any programs since last two days.still i can't recharge becouse of their technical problems.i don't know when they ill solve that problem otherwise i am going to change other best service provider.very very poor service from sundirect.i can't expect from sundirect.

In our area 3 or 4 peoples were through out sundirect.

same thing happening for few days na sundirect will lose their valuable customers.

Please don't got for Sun Direct. Its worst. I can't suggest other DTH since am also looking for a good DTH.

Sun Direct — Very poor customer services

You have to keep on try to contact customer care. Every time i am trying 4 hours then only my call is connecting to customer care. I asked to activate star cricket but they told champians trophy cricket relay in espn so activate that. I activated, after then i came to knew champians trophy cricket relaying in star criket. I asked to lock a complaint against person. But they told it not possible. If any network problem means we have to contact with agent, that agent asking conveyance charge. My connection is in gurgaon.
I am not getting the picture since 4th October 2009 Made complaints several times All my complaints gone to the deaf ears. Pl rectify

Sun Direct DTH — VERY POOR CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE

This has to be easily the most pathetic customer care that i have ever come across in my life. They launch the product w/o having a proper software to help the customers. My scenario is as follows.
I recharged my SUN DIRECT smart card and chose venus pack to be activated after speaking with a CC agent. Venus pack is the one where you get HBO,STAR MOVIES channles. The CC agent told me that it will be activated in a max of 2 hours. Well that was the first promise. The channel was not activated even the next day. I called the CC line . They have 1 toll free no and another line which was not toll-free. The toll free is always blocked bcos of the enormous no of customers calling them. So i had no option but to call the line which was not toll-free.So its even more waste of my money. Well the CC agent told that he will do a master refresh then the channel will be activated. I believed him. The next day it was still not active. Again i patiently called the CC centre. Same respone. Master refresh was done but no go.
Then my friend and myself called them daily. We spoke with three or four floor managers who had all sorts of stories to tell us like the channel activation is still in queue even after 10 days and it will get activated soon. The entire month that particular package was not activated although i paid for that service.
We reached our extreme levels of frustration. Kalanathi Maran should hang himself for providing such poor services.Never believe the cosmetic adds that they put in the tv,its all s***. Worst was yet to come.They got a satellite problem when the FIFA world cup was in the closing stages.Semi-finals match was missed.

Anybody know about the recent failure of SUN DTH. We are not getting the channels even SUN TV. Neo Sports is missing.
My smartcard no. is [protected] and I have a full year subscription for North Shine Pack (Marathi) valid till May 2011. Since 8 July 2010, I am not getting most of the paid channels in the pack with major ones like NDTV Imagine, NDTV Profit, Bloomberg UTV, Star Majha, Zee Talkies, Bindaas and many others. I have made numerous complaints and phone calls including STD calls to Chennai, but to no use. The call center personnel are absolutely useless and helpless. This seems to be a company policy to hoodwind the customer. The company initially said there was a Satellite problem and our subscription would be extended suitably after all channels are restored. But this argument is not more valid as the problem is not being resolved at all. No senior or responsible persons are available either on phone or on mail. One nodal officer for AP, Mr. Merani, does not work for Sun any more though the Sundirect.in web site still indicates him as the nodal officer. I am fed up with all this and I demand my money back including the set top box cost as I need to shift to another DTH operator who is more professinal.
Mr Maran pls note this. I am a very senior defence scientist and will take this matter in all ways in public domain including the legal one.

I am a subscriber for Sun Dish. I have paid Rs.@2250/-towards Sun dish connection to the local Dealer. The dish is always giving trouble. In spite of complaints, nobody turns up for service. Since past six months the dish is not at all functioning. Ian trying to revert back to the local Dish antenna fellow, so that I can least enjoy the T.V. I never expected that the service from Sun direct would be so poor. If there is no response I will be forced to approach consumer’s court. Pl avoid unpleasantness.

    It is official now. Kalanithi maran is right now in homa like his father was in homa for more than a year and passed away which brought happy to all Indian industrial giants.

    Kalanithi maran's keeps wife product sundirect has made a huge failure he has became begger. People might have seen him near kathibara junction when he was begging. Yesterday he suddently fell ill and his keep soppana sundary brought him to hospital. But doctor said that he has gone to homa. Thats why we are seeing all these sundirect compliants are in pending.

        I had given complaint for adjusting the frequency last one month back and last again had login new coplaint no action, no response,

        In sun action channel no:109 i saw the film at 2.30pm today(24/08/12) was already telecasted two weeks before continously for two days.Again today also it is being telecasted.Even the film name is not displaying at the bottom.Why you are telecasting again and again same films for more than 4 times?we the public are not fools to pay 150/month to see the same films.
        Also in K tv the film telecasting is different from the name at the bottom of its channel, why these types of silly mistakes?

          I am a user of sun direct for last two years. My smart card no is[protected]R. I am not getting all the channels paid for and the first complaint was made to SUN DIRECT EXECUTIVE on the 6th September, 2010 for dish re-alignment verbally over phone on their number 39407575 wherein their server was down and I could not get a complaint Number. Then onwards every time the answer is their technical staff will get in touch with us within 24 hours.

          THREE months passed TALKING and TAKING complaint numbers from SUN DTH executives and following are some of the Names of the Executives and the Complaint Numbers given to me:

          I request the authorities concerned for Consumer Complaints and take this issue very seriously for not fooling the public by giving false promises like saying 24 hrs time and not attending even after 3 months.

          dish — Alignment problem

          My vc no. [protected] and complaint no. is 13273753. I made the complaint on 18.05.08 and after one week still my problem is not solved. Your service dealer refused to come at faridabad and asking Rs. 400 for AMC. Its very frustrating for me. I called so many times at customer care but got same answer that my problem will be solved with in 24-48 hours. But there is no response from your side.

          This is for your kind notice that customer care complaint pertains to the Smart Card # [protected] has not completed from 3months time. Whereas i have been since continual followups as subjected period. Moreover for your kind notice i had recharged before 3months ago only, but from that time onwards issue a raised till time not resolved.

          Note : Kindly do extend my recharge validity for the same of the breakage time

            I am very old customer of sundirect , but from last two months I am unable to watch many channels , and few channels are comming in Black & white and few channels are getting stuck from last two months , I have given a complaint in the month of September 2010 , they have told we will send the technician to your house for the re-allignment , but as of now no one come for the re-allignment , I have called around 50 to 60 calls and raised 24 complaints , every time they use to give the complaint number and say we will resolve your problem and we have forwared your complaint as a high priority and you will get a call from backend team by today, like this they are telling me from last 65 days and today is decenber 09th 2010 , till now I din't get a call or technician to my house, my smart card number is : [protected]. I don't know what to do now ? very very poor service , My advice is please don't PURCHASE Sundirect and don't be fools like us who are taken Sundirect DTH. Please go with other service providers like TATA SKY , BIG TV etc..

            Sun Direct DTH — NO SERVICE - DON'T BUY

            THIS IS A FRAUD COMPANY BY KALANIDHI MARAN AND HIS FAMILY. I BOUGHT A SUNDIRECT DTH . FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS MANY OF THE CHANNELS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THERE IS A MESSAGE THE SATELITE SHIFTING IS TAKING PLACE. I WONDER WHAT SATELITE SHIFTING. HOW MANY DAYS. WE GO ON RECHARGING THE CARD WITHOUT ANY USE.             SUN DTH — No Service last 2 Months

            SUN DTH is very worst service when compare it to other DTH services in india and Television is always help to reduce your stress but you will lose your peace of mind once take the connection.

            It consists of more subscripers belongs to middle and below middle class, they need to waste their money to call them and inform about the no signal for many days. Customer care dept. is like a deaf and they will repeat the same sentence that you will get a call from distributor or provide the landline no. of distributors.

            You have tried 1000 times and you will not get them in line finally frustrated and need to call again customer care. It is routine to all customers and inspite of wasting rs.100 subscription and you need to waste your money for making calls equivalent one month subscription.

            This is completely cheting and unethical and they do not feel guilty for unable to provide quality services. Govt. is taking good steps to prevent anti elements and illegal activities but for this, it was not taken any steps till now.

            This fraud is equivalent to cheating the poort and middle class for open the chit funds and collect the money and run away.

            I do not know that why no steps taken from SUN DTH or government and it will impact our economics badly and creates bad reputation about all DTH services among customers.

            May concerned will take appropiate action against this atleast now.............
            Consumer court to take action againt SUN DIRECT DTH and Stop the fraud Business.
            SUN-DTH is cheating organization and pls. do not suggest anyone to install or recharge/renew again.
            Worst customer service
            This is with regard to the non receiving the channel in the SUN direct for last one month. I am keep-on calling the customer care(even spoken to floor manager Ms.Leela, ) Chennai head office, Bangalore head office(given ticket number 6965), distributor [protected]-117(more then 20 calls) but all gone fritter away.

            I felt that you are playing with public money. I had already recharge for 6 month on 22/11/2010. Last one month I am receiving only sun TV and DD channels(which I can receive without any payment too)

            When I called the distributor, they assured to come and re-aline dish and for that they want me to pay Rs.100, even I agree for that but still am waiting

            What is the solution for the above query and what about the one month inconvenience Please credit back the amount to my account itself.

            At last I felt Cable operator are better then your service, at least they wont charge for there fault.

              We all have been cheated by sun direct without any service but only the monthly subscription being deducted for no service in the current set up we have. There was no reponse for almost 2 months on enabling us to change the dish direction but only subscription being charged.

              Can authorities on the consumer complaint site take this to higher up in Sun network or help us get to the judiciary for the deficiency in service we are undergoing at present

                  I have taken DTH CONNECTION FROM SUN DIRECT DTH SERVICE 4months back by paying Rs.2600/- for 12 months subscription (for the south pack)

                  I never got the promised channels till now and when I asked them they said they are upgrading the system/setellite & you get all the promised channel within 15 days
                  Now I am getting only Channels from Sun network (like Sun TV, Gemini TV, Udaya TV) all remaining channels are not getting in my TV
                  I have complained several times since past past three months till now not a single person /technician come to look at the service

                  Finally I have called once again today[protected] the dealer who sold the DTH for me (Mr. Rajs Land ine No.[protected] they asked me to contact Mr Lokesh on mobile No.[protected], when I contacted Mr. Lokesh (the person who have installed the DTH for me) he gave another mobile no. by saying that they have given sector wise service distribution and asked me to contact Surya Distributes on [protected], but this no. I am trying to contact there is no response
                  I have been trying to call all these given nos several none of them are picking my call
                  In the beginning they promise so many things before buying the DTH Connection but after installation nobody turns back inspite of several complaints
                  Now I have no other way but switching off my LCD TV

                  I would like to fight against SUN Direct in the court of Law for Cheating the customer & not giving any kind of service, How ever this is my 1st step against SUN Direct
                  I will try to Sue them in the Court of Law
                  as I am completely tried to get them on the phone but it is useless
                  SUN DIRECT DTH IS USE LESS, PATHETIC SERVICE

For over 2 years, whenever we have had customer problems, their phone lines are almost never answered. We have been able to reach their phone lines only two or three times after attempting hundreds of times.

                        They have now gone to a different satellite and like everyone else we have joined the list of customers that are NOT getting any channels. Earlier it was just one or two channels that we NOT working, now NONE of them work.

                        If you are planning to buy DTH ( HD or normal ) , don’t buy SUN DTH . they won’t care for customer complaints. For installation they took 15 days. For re setting due to satellite change, they didn’t attend for more than 2 months. Many technical problems also there. In short, if you are SUN customer,you can’t view TV properly,

                          I am really DISAPPOINTED with the services of Sun-direct.

                          I requested them to send the technician for reallignment of dish. I am calling customer care from 11:00 AM today and they were not able to give me the correct information. I asked customer care executive( named Sachin, LAKSHIT, Ashish and Maarlin) all were telling that there is tecnical issue which will be rectified in 15 min. but I called continuaously from 12 Noon to 06:00 PM but technical issue was not rectified.

                          THIS is my kind request for right now please to ask them to provide good services otherwise I have to disconnect my services. I wasted around Rs 50 from morning calling Customer Service.

                          Here we are loosing money in two ways.

                          1. I am paying for the services which I am not getting from Sun direct
                          2. I had to call Sun direct customer care very frequently to get the complete services.

                          As this is the problem with service provider (Sun direct) why should customer suffer with that? They should have engaged adequate staff to restore the services. Otherwise they should not charge for the services which they are unable to provide.

                          Since from last 3 month Sun direct mentally tortured me a lot. My family is also suffering a lot due to this. I have no patience to wait.

                          Am planning to throw SunDirect DTH on ditch and will go with other service provider

                            setup box is gon & we have approach distributor & told him we have complained that maatv is not coming & after 10 days tv9,zeetv also are not coming & after 5 days setup box as been stopped & now after giving to distributor after 11dayes he is telling water is gone inside so give 1000/- for new setup box or else give 500/-for 2nd hand setup-box or else 150/-for coryiour charges we will send to company & replace it can take 1month or 2months what ever may be. still now 2 months over i am not getting dishtv relay for this 2 months amount has been dieted from my smart card account there is 1 year guarantee i have Parcheesi-ed in April 2010 iam going to concumar-court where ever u go we will do like this only he is telling what to do now so i am complaining by online

                              Sub: Regarding Sundirect Satilite change effect

                              Sir,

                              Due to Sundirect Satilite Change I am not able to View subscribed channels. I already paid amount to view to my Telugu basic Package. But I am not able to view all channels.

                              Ex: If I choose TV9-Telugu it's showing satilite changed to new satilite to get this channel please call to customer care.

                              When I make a call to customer care they are telling that we received a bulk of complaints regarding satilit re-set so it's will take time to set your connection.

                              Plaese take a serious action against this. Why because we already paid money for channes.

                              If they suppose to change new satilite they should continue all the services in Old satilite once they complete all the existing customers then only they should go for new satilite run.

                                There were many channels removed from Basic Plan in Sundirect DTH I have made many times to the Sundirect toll free number but the issue not yet resolved, since 2 Months am not getting Many Basic package channels.. Since 2 months am making calls to the Sundirect Toll free number they are taking complaint that’s it but the issue not resolving Kindly Put a complaint on Sundirect DTH As I have lost many new things which needs to be seen..

                                Sun Direct — 2 channels are not appearing.

                                hello sir,
                                i have recharge sun direct at 6/10/2009 at chandkheda. recharge coupan is Rs.150. and activate the shina pack. but as shown in paper i can watch colors(chanel no.321) and zee tv(chanel no.322). but both chanels are not shown.
                                so please take dicision imidiately. thank you.

                                Sun Direct — not working since a month

                                SUN DIRECT SMART CARD NO : [protected]

                                I have got sun direct connection installed in the month of June.believe me, sine then , this connection did not work even for a week. in spite of repeated calls to those at the call centers , who not either answer the calls or do not know how to solve problems. Finally, after chasing the distributor for a week, he sent a technician to attend the problem. the technician with has informed that SUN direct satellite position has chnged and the antenna needs to be configured to the new position. he demanded Rs. 150 for doing that. Even though the web site claims that iit is supposed to be free of cost service. Since i did not have any alternative, i paid the money and he reconfigured the dish and it started working. WOW! i was so happy. next day morning, there was a slight drizzle and again my connection is gone. when i checked up with the mechanic , he says that i need to pay another 150 for service.

                                this is ridiculous. i request concerned people in SUN direct look at these problems and offer solution. Otherwise, their company would be doomed.
                                I also begged one SD technician here in Coimbatore and he demanded 100/-. I paid that amount since I had no other choice. Now, many channels are missing. Few channels are coming new. All radio channels are missing. What to do?

                                I am frustrated.

                                  Since for past one month, I requested and called your local Technician [Narsipatnam], Anakapalle Dealer M/s. Vani Distributers, as per your relay Phone No: [protected] and [protected] for several times "for realinment of my Sun Direct SIGHNALS". Till 28th., Nov. 2010, no body not registered my complaint and saying oraly in words, ''with in 48 Hours your Sighnals will be rsctified', but not yet till and not even ready to give the next higher authority Phone Nos. And lastly your call center [protected] Mr. Prathap Reddy, registered my complaint as [protected] / 28th., Nov. 2010 and assured me with in 48 hours, the problem will be solved but not done. Again on today morning [[protected]] I contacted your [protected] Mis. Radhika and she also assured me with in 48 hours, the problem will be solved', can I belive your Sun Direct Managers. It is unfotunate of the consumer but I hope at least this time weather it is yeild ?. I am very sorry. I was great beliver of Mr. Maaran.

                                    I suggest all indians please do not go SUN DTH, really a worst and poor service. For disc Allignment i called more than 50 times ( I spend about Rs 300 asTelephone charges). They engaged very bad people in call center and never do good service. I also suggest beter to migrate to another DTH ervice provider.
                                    i agree 100%these b###**rds never pay attention to any reported complaints.they think customers are .i'm going for a case against them in consumer court.they have changed satellite and i'm not getting channels for past 1 month or more.every time i contact cust care, they are saying"no problem sir, we'll rectify it tomorrow itself."and no one does anything after that.these b***rds think they can fool customers that easily.

                                      My service has been cancelled since last two month. and still they are taking dailiy rent. inspite of setting up a case with the customer support, and calling them end number of times, so far no help is provided. The customer support is there to screw up the customers happiness.

                                      I had purchased a sun direct DTH from S K Electron6ics three months back .After few days o[censored]sin..g DTH some of the channels are not coming and i had went twice to shop and given written complaints. After givin complaints still they have not attended.
