I was promised by the airlines that they will provide full refund for the flight cancellation.

Their customer support told me that refund will be granted within weeks, but it is more than 2 months and still no refund has been provided till date.

      Hi

      I have received official confirmation on mail from air asia support team on credit refund or free move flight option for the cancellation due to covid 19. The confirmation was received almost more than a month now but still issue not resolved as neither did i receive credit refund in big member id or any confirmation on free move flight.
      I have been writing several reminder mails but no response as i think air asia is not bothered anymore for their loyal customers.

          Made a booking with pnr r9ztrh, from hyderabad to jaipur. But to covid19 flight got cancelled so rescheduled it to 7th may. Again flight got cancelled then as per the given instructions created big member id.

          Submitted the provided form for refund, but there is no confirmation on mobile or email. Tried to reachout customer care but no response. Every day almost 1 hours keep trying to call, connect with ava app but that is also redirecting to contact customer care. So its kind deadlock.

          I have raised total 4 cases with my booking r9ztrh. All cases were closed without any resolutions. May i know the reason for that??? R9ztrh • 3

            Booked tickets for 3 adults paying 10953 but due to covid passengers couldn't travel. Got 3366 rupees in airasia credit to be used within two years. If in airasia credits then least they can do is refund full amount in credits or credit my bank account with 33 percent. By keeping my money as airasia credits what do i benefit - nothing. No reponse on contacting the airasia by mail.

              I want my ticket between kolkata-delhi (Booking number pvgiyf) to be put into my credit account. Since it is for my mother and registered with my email id, i am not able to create another big member id for her as the email is already registered for my ticket. I have explained it to your team but i keep on getting the same email from them. Please look into the issue and please try and put the ticket into my big member id. I am attaching the email correspondence together with my replies.

                Der sir/madam,

                This is reagrding my bookings from bangalore to bali for air asia filight on 18.04.2020 via
                Booking id: nn[protected] with return on 25.05.2020.
                Both the tickets are booked through make my trip for our vacation.

                Due to the prevailing situation in world currently, i. E. Coronavirus and considering the pandemic, all flights stand suspended and
                Indian government has prohibited travel to any country and strictly advised us to avoid non essential travel.

                Also, we received a confirmation from airlines stating that the flight stands cancelled due to which we cannot continue with our travel.

                In this regard, we request you to help us get the complete refund from the airlines without any
                Deduction since the cancellation is done by the airlines.

                As per the directive from airlines, we have received two options i. E. Ticket amount will be credited to air asia account
                Or change the new travel date before 31st october 2020. It is also to be noted that the above tickets are booked through makemytrip.com (Trarvel agency of air asia).

                We are not willing to opt for any of the above said two options due to prevailing situation (Covid 2019).

                Further it is the settled legal position that once the flight is cancelled by airline, the entire ticket amount to be refunded
                And the airlines cannot the ticket amount without our approval.

                Further we never agreed for the above said options while booking the tickets.
                The airlines have unilaterally provided the above said options which are not at all feasible for us.

                It is totally unethical to hold the ticket amount after cancelling the flight by the air asia.

                Therefore i request for the refund of the entire ticket amount at the earliest.

                  I have received the below mail from your end informing about the cancellation of flight. As per your mail, you have given two options i, e ticket amount will be credited to air asia account or change the new travel date before 31st october 2020. It is also to be noted that the above tickets are booked through makemytrip.com (Trarvel agency of air asia).

                  I am not willing to opt the above said two options due to prevailing situation (Covid 2019) and other my personal engagements. Hence i cannot decide my future travel plan now.

                  Further it is the settled legal position that once the flight is cancelled by airline, the entire ticket amount to be refunded and you cannot hold my ticket amount in your account.

                  The air aisa has no authority to provide the above said two options. Further i never agreed for the above said options while booking my tickets. You have unilaterally provided the above said options which are beyond the contract terms between the air asia and me which is also against the law.

                  It is totally unethical to hold my ticket amount after cancelling flight by the air asia.

                  Therefore i request all of you to provide the entire ticket amount at the earliest, otherwise i will take it to appropriate legal forum against the air asia and make my trip to recover the above said my ticket amount including interest, compensation etc at your cost.

                    Hi,
                    I have booked a flight on april 18 202, from banglore to visakhapatnam, my flight change request is not getting processed, as my flight was cancelled due to extended lockdown, my credit account shows
                    Zero amount, i trying to chat with ava, but it keeps saying wrong credentials even though i am giving right information. Even after my multiple attempts there is no response, and all iam able to chat is with a bit, this seems they are depriving me of booking a ticket change so that they can charge me more as it can get charged more if book closer to my traveling date as comapared to more advanced booking of 15 days, and they promised unlimited flight changes tii oct 31, but they show no response and i can't even talk to a real person, as all i get to chat with is not.

                      I have booked my return flight tickets from hyderabad-bangalore for 2 pax.
                      Pnr details for the same is h6l9jk. Onward journey is 20 march 2020 and the return journey was on 22 march 2020 both ways by airasia flight.
                      Due to covid-19 travel i requested to cancel my ticket and refund my amount on 19 march 2020 and the case number is 43487146 given by airasia.

                      Subsequently airasia cancelled their 22 march 2020 flight from bangalore - hyderabad and confirmed over phone. They also assured that complete fare amount will be refunded to my account with in two weeks.

                      Even after 42days i have not received my refund. My repeated calls to airlines call center were of no use except only false promises.

                      May i request the concerned authorities to look into the issue and do the needful as soon as possible.

                        We have made the booking kolkata to bali pnr t4sq7n. Total amount which i paid 37, 874 for 2 persons.in this pandemic situation where all the tickets booking are cancelled and as per dgca guidelines travel between 25 march and 3rd may, will be eligible for a full refund.
                        This information is also mention in air asia twitter account.

                        But air asia is not refunding the amount they are providing credit voucher which is waste for me, i am not frequent traveler, they are not replying the over email and twitter and their customer care ppls are worst they are not entertaining.

                        Please help me on these.

                            We have made the booking bengaluru to kolkata prn y6z6xd. Total amount which i paid 51, 625 for 5 person.in this pandemic situation where all the tickets booking are cancelled and as per dgca guidelines new booking made between 25th march 2020 and 14th april 2020 for travel between 25 march and 3rd may, will be eligible for a full refund.
                            This information is also mention in air asia twitter account.

                            But air asia is not refunding the amount they are providing credit voucher which is waste for me, i am not frequent traveler, they are not replying the over email and twitter and their customer care ppls are worst they are not entertaining.

                                Hi team,

                                Please be informed that i had booked airasia flight (Through goibibo.com) from bagdogra to new delhi (Flight no. I5757, pnr no. E3tdqt) for 1st april, 2020. Due to covid-19, my flight has been auto-cancelled. As discussed with customer service associate over the call, entire money (Rs. 10, 060) will be refunded. Only 3rd party booking charges will be deducted from entire money. (Airasia request no.:[protected]
                                However, i got a mail from 3rd party ([protected]@goibibo.com) in which they mention refund amount only 1023 out of 10, 060. Showing airline charges : rs. 7671.

                                  We have booked flight tickets to go to bali indonesia from chennai on 25.04.2020 vide booking id: nn[protected] with return tickets (02.05.2020) vide booking id: nn[protected] both the tickets are booked through make my trip for our vacation. The same are attached herewith for your reference.

                                  Due to the prevailing situation in india i. E coronavirus and considering the virus spreading ratio in our country, indian government has advised us not to travel to any country and strictly advised us to avoid non essential travel. Immigration department notification is attached for your reference.

                                  On account of the above, we cannot continue our travel plan as per the tickets booked by us. Since the reasons are beyond our control, we would like to drop our travel on 25th april 2020.

                                  In this regard, i request you to consider that in case of cancellation of tickets from my side, please refund the entire ticket amount without any deduction since the reason for cancellation is beyond our control and as per the advice given by indian government.

                                  It is also to be noted that CIVIL AVIATION REQUIREMENTS SECTION 3 – AIR TRANSPORT SERIES‘M’, PART II ISSUE I, DATED 22 May, 2008 vide File No. 23-16/2016-AED, has clearly mentioned that, in case of credit card payments, refund shall be made by the airlines within seven days of the cancellation to the account of credit cardholder. Further it has stated that the option of holding the refund amount in credit shell by the airlines shall be the prerogative of the passenger and not a default practice of the airline.

                                  However the Air Asia, has not responded any thing about the refund and hold my refund amount illegally.

                                    I had made two flight bookings from calcutta to bagdogra airport, siliguri on 18th of march 2020 in air asia.
                                    The pnrs of these flight bookings are - xs3dsb and bv43ys for flights on 28/04/2020.
                                    However, due to the lock down for containing covid 19, all flights are susended till 3rd of may.
                                    Hence i recieved a mail from air asia on 14th april stating that the booked ticket can be cancelled and a refund be requested as credit in the credit shell of air asia.
                                    It was required to use the same e mail id used for booking the flight tickets ([protected]@gmail.com) for creating the big member account in air asia website.
                                    I did the same on 14/04/2020 itsel[censored]sing same email id ([protected]@gmail.com).
                                    However today, on 23/04/2020 i recieved a mail from air asia asking to create a big member account once again using the mail id which was used for booking the ticket.
                                    There is no means of speaking to the customer care, only virtual robotic assistance is provided. Kindly request you to adress my matter asap.

                                      I would like to inform you that,

                                      Ii) flight no : fd121 booking id : nn[protected] pnr: oqv1xb (Ccu-dmk)
                                      Have been cancelled as per mail communication & message over phone via air asia. Screenshot of the same attached herewith. We have opted for refund on 16th march. Due to the havoc corona virus outbreak, flight itself got cancelled, but even after repeated calling & chatting with ava & mmt (Myra) no positive information has been given to me regarding my refund. Such a poor service from both air asia & mmt was not expected since 6 working days has been already over. We are really worried about huge amount of money approx rs 30000 as a refund amount. Both airasia & mmt are not paying any attention regarding this matter. If this is so, we will be escalating the matter to higher authorities, hope it must be resolved as early as possible.
