I had originally posted a concern on 16th June against Libra Communications for their indefinite delay in getting the ownership and subsequent prepaid to postpaid plan changed. This issue is still unresolved and even after emailing [protected]@in.airtel.com as instructed, there has been no response. For this reason, I am posting the complaint afresh. Hope it would evoke a response soon from Airtel presence.

Hi,
Sir, I have purchased a SIM card No.[protected] from a retailor years ago. I haveslso submitted my all the documents when I purchase the SIM.Now I want a duplicate SIMcard, when I inquire your Airtel office that the SIM is not my name . So, what can I do now? kindly change the ownership of my Sim.

    I have airtel digital tv connection. I have recharged it on 21/10/2010 for Rs.1920/-. This was clubbed with an offer of 12 month activation and additional 2 months of extended viewing. So total of 14 months of viewing period. I confirmed the same after recharging with airtel customer care executive. Now it seems I have low or negative balance on my account. It is just 9 months post recharge on 21/10/2010.

    14/07/2010: My connection got disconnected and the screen is displaying negative balance and asking me to recharge. My son called up Customer Care and Mr. Nitesh answered but he did not have any proper clarification why it was disconnected. He said I have not change my package after recharging but I did it and my son confirmed the same on the very day with the Airtel Customer Care.

    Then Ms.Kriti from escalation team responded to my call but she also has the same story that I did not informed about the offer to Airtel. She gave me some monthly calculation of economy package and outright rejected that there was any offer for Rs.1920/- in West Bengal circle. This is very weird on part of Airtel that they deny that they had any offer like this and asked me to recharge for viewing.

    Lost faith on Airtel.

      i did not opt for any 54321 services in my SIM. but these kind of services get activated automatically and i receive some messages every day, its too annoying and these services get charged everday like Re 1 or 2 or 3, why should we pay unnecessarily for the services which we don't even want?
      I never activated anything like that i said. Unsubscribe it form my mobile as soon as possible

      i did not opt for any 54321 services in my SIM. but these kind of services get activated automatically and i receive some 20 service messages every day, its too annoying and these services get charged everday like Re 1 or 2 or 3, why should we pay unnecessarily for the services which we don't even want, and since two three days i have been receving messages from AD-54321, some cricket alerts, i complained about this to customer care, they say its activated from my side,but i never activated anything like that i said, and i asked them to unsubscribe it and they said it is unsubscribed now, but i keep on receiving those messages. i don't know why do they annoy people like this.

      Sir/Mam, Please could you unsubscribe these services.
      even now,no action has been taken after this, i have no other option than changing my network.

        My request for port out from AIRTEL still pending. I received the unique Port ID AL132866 for my mob.number [protected] on 02.02.11. I have submitted a new application with BSNL on 04.02.11.
        On 05.02.11 I received a message from BSNL stating that your port out request has been rejected by the service provider quoting the reason of not completing 90 days with their network. But I am using this number since 2004 without any break and it is a lame excuse. AIRTEL started sending some useless offers for continuing with their network. Even if they are offering life time free connection for me I am not iterested to continue with them. So no use of holding on to this number.I will continue my struggle. My present Port ID expires on 17.02.11.

        This is Gautam. I found your email id from Airtel Website.
        Sir plz help me regarding my problem.

        I requested for number porting from Reliance GSM to Airtel on 09/05/2011 at 06:33 pm. The mobile number is [protected] (Bihar Jharkhand Circle)

        while processing
        on 11/05/2011 I received an SMS "Request validated by donor and porting time:[protected]:02:00.454"

        My number ported to Airtel at right time. After it I make a call on 123 and it is still answering that my number is invalid.
        On[protected] I tried to recharge my account , but It was not successful. I received SMS
        << Recharge not successful on your mobile. Transaction ID[protected]. Date:[protected] at 11:51 AM.>>.

        I informed it to customer care executive, but they didn't find any solution and provided me complaint number (reference number): CLTNM[protected] on[protected]. They told me that within 3 days my problem will be solved.

        after 7 days of my complaints I got an sms On 20/05/2011 << Kindly note the service request No. 613854 has been resolved. >> But still my problem was not solved.

        On 21/05/2011 I again talked with CCE, but they didn't given me any kind of reference number.
        on 22/05/2011 I again reported to CCE and they given me Reference number CMPRO[protected] and promised me that my problem will be solved before 01:30 pm 23/05/2011
        My problem still not solved and again I reported to CCE today on[protected] and got reference number CDAMN[protected]. They promised me that my problem will be solved on 24 may.
        Sir while contacting with CCE many times my call was disconnected by CCE. They always say me to hold, but while on hold my call was automatically disconnected. Even they were not interested to listen me carefully.

        Sir I don't think, they can solve my problem. My number [protected] is still not working since long time. Plz understand my problem and take necessary action. I'll be grateful to you. After sending email to you all I must believe that my problem will be solved soon.

        Today 25/05/2011 Customer care of Airtel (Patna) Again issued new complaint reference number
        CDAMN[protected] . Thy told me that they are forwarding my call to seneior officer and after it call was disconnected.

        Plz anyone suggest me, what to do in this situation. Even Nodel Officer as well appellate Bihar not caring about my Problem:(

        i am an airtel customer( [protected]), now i like to change my connection to vodaphone by mobile portability, for this purpose i gave portable id number i got from airtel by sms to vodaphone at[protected] , they forward my request , but portability not changed at the inter well of time they give, so i forward another id, from vodafone they told me that they didn't get the permission from airtel,so i contact airtel costumer care,
        i can only possible to chage my portability when a call confirmation call from airtel, but in my home place have no signal, so i forwared a request for this call by sms, they give me 28 hrs
        but till i haven,t any call and this time also going to finishing in a few hours

        so i am expecting a comfortable action after this complaint

          Dear Team,

          I am using my Airtel mobile no. [protected] since last two years. Now I wanted to change my service provider under Mobie Number Portability services.
          I had a mobile prepaid connection for the first time when I had entered in Airtel service. I changed my prepaid connection to postpaid one year ago.

          Now I had changed my plan from postpaid to prepaid 3 month ago and now applied for other service provider under Mobile portability.
          Now Airtel company rejected my application for port change and I received the message from RIM that” your current service provider rejected your port change request due to contractual obligation"

          I do not have any contract with them now and when I called AIRTEL for the information they told me that you had received the call from AIRTEL for your plan changed and now you can not changed for next three months.

          It is true that I had received the call from AIRTEL post my application for MNP in reliance. In that call the agent asked me the reason for the MNP change and offered me the new call rates charges. I said "OK" to them and the agent replied that "I hope you will continue the service". But it doesn't mean and neither that agent informed me that this plan is contractual or you have to be in AIRTEL for next 3 months.
          In this case you can check the recording of our conversation of 10th July, 2011 at 4:35. I was not informed about the details.

          Now my question is
          How if the person agrees with any offer of plan does it come to the contractual of service?
          MNP concept is that the person should be using the same mobile no. in same service provider for more than 3 months. In this case if the person is changing his plan from postpaid to prepaid and vice versa should not be restricted to apply for MNP service. Then if so what is the use of MNP?
          TRAI should declare the clear guidelines on the same asap and should ask to mobile service provider to explain before proceeding for MNP service.
          The same has been happend before just two months during my postpaid to prepaid connection I had changed and post one month I applied for MNP they rejected due to the new plan. Why should I be restricted to change my service provider if I am using the same no. in same service provider since last two years irrespective of the plan?

          This is not under the consumer convenience policy.

          Please take the action for the same for Consumer protection as these providers are misguiding and cheating the consumer.

          Hi Team,

          I received a call from Airtel on 15th July, 2011 at 9:15 and I talked to Varun Sharma..He ensured your request will be processed within the next 7 days...
          When I talked today the person supervisor Mr. Mahesh Darji talked to me very rudely and informed me that your request will be processed in next 15 days. When I asked him to process that please get the information of 15th July conversation, why Varun Sharma ensured me that it will be processed within 7 days, he refused to do it & told me it will be processed internally but refused to update me regarding the process status.
          Because of this uncertainties I have to keep my balance in mobile so less due to when the MNP process completes I will loose that entire balance.

          Please do the needful asap.

              I have booked an airtel connection on 20th June, cancelled the connection because of installation problems. I applied for the refund on 27th of June-2011. My service reference number is 9468287 which i got after i cancelled the connection. I was called by airtel agent, name Bharti( phone no.[protected] for any problems regarding refund. When i called up the above person, my 1st call was attended she said she would call me and notify the status for the same. after 2 to 3 days i called up once again, she did not attended my call. Atleast 23 times i called her in 2hrs where all my call was attended but no response. She received the phone but didnt respond as my call was chargeble. I called up the airtel Customer care where every executive is busy forwarding my compliant and giving me time limit of 1hr, 2hr, even i talked to the superior, suprisingly he also needed 24hrs for this issue. Its beyond 78hrs , but there is no response from them, please help me out for the same. Also let me know where i can approach them legally. All my details are mentioned below.

                  I had problem with the set top box provided by Airtel and when asked to replace, they informed that it would cost Rs.300/- as the warranty period had expired. As I was not interested in spending the amount, I had asked them to disconnect the service on June 10, 2011 and till date they have been charging me for the service not utilized by me and have not taken back the equipment and refunded the amount paid by me, in advance.

                  I am using Airtel Dish TV since April 2009 and from very first day my Dish TV Remote is not functioning properly , and after doing regrous complaints our dealer here at Jammu is not behaviing properly and his service is very poor my customer ID is [protected]

                  This is to inform you that on friday 23/10/09 by 10.30 pm our airtel dishtv service get stop, The message on the tv I get { NO SIGNAL ]. As usally this problem is getting from the day of purchase near by 15 times and it is get activated within the seconds. But this time I am not getting through it. So I, call the customer care no. on 24/10/09 saturday and get the complaint no. 1290379 and was told by Mr. Narendra that this problem will be sloved on monday between 10.00 am to 11.00 am. But was not sloved. Again I, call the care centre on monday 26/10/09 and told by your staff it will be sloved by 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm monday itself.

                  But sorry to say that it is not sloved. again I, call in morning on 27/10/09 by 7.34 am and was told that the complaint recorded is wrong. The person recorded another complaint no. 1305067 and was send to me as an sms. I, again call at 9.34 am the centre to confirm for the rectifying time and was told that it will be sloved by 10.00 am today tuesday morning.

                  This is to inform you that on friday 23/10/09 by 10.30 pm our airtel dishtv service get stop, The message on the tv I get { NO SIGNAL ]. As usally this problem is getting from the day of purchase near by 15 times and it is get activated within the seconds. But this time I am not getting through it. So I, call the customer care no. on 24/10/09 saturday and get the complaint no. 1290379 and was told by Mr. Narendra that this problem will be sloved on monday between 10.00 am to 11.00 am. But was not sloved. Again I, call the care centre on monday 26/10/09 and told by your staff it will be sloved by 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm monday itself.

                  But sorry to say that it is not sloved. again I, call in morning on 27/10/09 by 7.34 am and was told that the complaint recorded is wrong. The person recorded another complaint no. 1305067 and was send to me as an sms. I, again call at 9.34 am the centre to confirm for the rectifying time and was told that it will be sloved by 10.00 am today tuesday morning.

                  Sir, I kindly request you to slove this problem of [ NO SIGNAL ] as I am not getting help from your care centre through 3 days past.

                  I contacted customer care several times

                  service engineer came to my house after six month

                  He wanted to replace the adapter which costs 300/-

                  when I purchased connection they told me every thing is under warrenty for one year

                  But this service engineer who attended my complaint says that adaptor warrenty is only sixmonths

                  my picture clarity is very bad

                  I am very unhappy about this service

                  i am calling MR.AMIT FROM BRS NAGAR ([protected]) for taking the connection of airtel dish tv last week . i paid him advance all the money in cash. and according to his statement the network should be connected after a day. bt a week passed.. still connection is not applied. its very poor on your part that consumers have to face a lot of problems regarding this .now he is like that your money should be return in 20 days. thats not fair at al.. we want our money back in a day. otherwise , we are going to the consumer court.

                    I am a consumer of AirTel mobile network.From a long time airtel is cheating with me.
                    I get messages saying that Gyan Pack/Cricket score pack/ Joke pack............................................................................... etc. has been activated in your number and you have been charged Rupees 5/10/15/20/30 . But I never tried to activate such services .
                    Whenever I call to customer care to refund the money then they lie and tell me It can not be refunded because the services activated by me and they disconnect the call.
                    I am very helpless airtel staling money from my account and I am not able to do anything.
                    Please Help me.........

                          We recently shifted our residence. I have tried to call Airtel customer care many a times, but earlier, the call used to get disconnected after IVR put me on waiting for the customer care executive. This went on for a few times. So, as scheduled, we had to shift and the builder had to dismantle every wiring in which Airtel broadband wiring was also included. About 4-5 days back, i got to talk to a CCE, who gave me a service request number 446562, which again, is unattended as of yet. Now, as a result, i do not have access to internet facility or IPTV that i had from Airtel, at my new residence. My uncle called Airtel about a week ago and he was told that i need to go to Airtel customer care center and pay the bill first, of which due date is 25th July, yet to come, and then after 20 days an action will be taken. What is this? I am really shocked that a company like Airtel is treating it's old customers like this. My uncle was also told that someone from Airtel will call me regarding the same, but again, i haven't received any call yet. On Airtel website also, there is no provision under complaints section regarding :"Shifting of Internet/Fixed line" , and every other complaint section has different parameters which obviously i cannot fulfill, like number of modem, in case of faulty modem. I went to the nearest customer care , near Oxford school vikas puri., but they told me that it was a mobile customer care center and that i would need to go to Rajouri Garden if i want to lodge a complaint or inquire anything about landline. How funny is that ? Now i am stuck in a way what to do , should i go for another Broadband service or is Airtel going to respond to my complaint or not. Please help. Thanks & Regards,

                          My airtel broadband services has been billed more and I just want to know about my billing details but i have facing problems like;

                          * I have called many times but your server is down(as told by representative when calls get connected) so unable to check details.
                          * It takes lot of time to contact customer care as you IVR system is too long and poor.
                          * Due to this my bill has exceeded the desired period and late fee has been charged.

                          You service as well as customer representatives are extreemly poor to respond and thus customer has not only paying extra fees but wasting a lot of time contacting you.

                              My Airtel Number [protected] is BARRED FROM OUTGOING CALLS since last 15 days. I have purchased the SIM in April 2011 and since then I am facing this problem for 4 times. I have always given the required documents at AIRTEL office at Sai Complex Berhampur, but it seems that they are not properly feeding the particulars. I have also lodged consumer complain to 121. But they have not taken any action till date. My name Pappu Satyanarayana. I have given my Voter ID once, Driving Licence once and my Photo for 3 times. They do not care at all.

                                I am holding a Airtel prepaid number [protected] for the past 5 years. Recently only i converted it into per second pulse after having had a bid ordeal with Airtel Customer Care. They gave some filthy reasons for not able to convert it into per second and at last it was done, To my surprise i received a msg from AT Alerts today i.e. 12.07.2011 at 5.14 pm stating that" Kindly note your tariff plan validity has expired. your new plan will be 1.2 paise/second for all airtel and other mobile calls, all landline calls at 1.5 paise/second.
                                This is ridiculous on the part of Airtel. When i have opted for per second tariff, atleast i should be provided with the facility of per second tariff to airtel customers and 1.2 paise per second. It is very clear that a company such as airtel is cheating the customers to the core just like this and minting crores and crores of money. These kind of technical crimes are getting un noticed and the public are not aware of to whom we should complain so as to curb these kind of this happening in our country.
                                I had called the customer care centre and asked him whether there is any TRAI notification to the effect that the tariff has been changed, but that poor fellow does not know to explain my querry and instead giving me the website address of airtel and asking me to verify whether there is any instructions or notification from TRAI.
                                I would be pleased that if Airtel may explain on what basis they have changed the tariff and on whose guidelines and if so the copy of the guidelines may be sent to me by way of email so as to enable me to proceed further in this issue or i may be forced to seek legal remedy in the consumer redressal forum so as to save lot of indians from being cheated by your coompany.

                                  I'm a airtel EC recharge retailer from kerala. This is to notify my discontent on the offers provided on my number [protected].
                                  The only offer provided to me is 10p A2A by charging 50 Ps/day. Other local call rates are also too high. So please provide me with better offers or kindly give the instruction to port my ec recharge sim to a different network.

                                  And also i think its high time to increase the commission of 4% on EC recharges to the retailers, since nowadays the customer recharge amount is decreasing due to lower call rates provided to them!

                                  Few years ago the call rates were 1.5Rs/min nd the commission was 4% and nowadays the call rates becoming as low as 30 Ps/min still the commission is 4% which is unacceptable.kindly have a look in to this matter too.

                                  I Tried 198 100 times I am unable to connect the customer care.Now I have no way to tell my problem.That is why I am complainting here.

                                      It was about in may-june that i saw the deduction of balance from my mobile account .the sum was about 300-400 when i complained i came to know that there were around 7-8 services activated automatically.i asked them to refund the money but they refused and told me that they cant refund the whole sum but can return only for last 24 hours i accepted that time and asked them to stop all the active services and start full dnd (do not disturb) service in my no.as its not my cell its my father's i very rarely use it but yesterday i just saw that the services were again activated and the balance was getting redused without any notice to us.when i complained to the customer care of airtel they told that there is no active service and i was telling lie to them about the deduction and missbihaved with me.then just now i went to my brothers freind who is the distributor of airtel in rourkela .when he called the main office they again told that the services were activated automatically and money cannot be refunded.
                                      now i want to know that is it the right thing which the company is doing to me.they are going on cutting the balance without any reasons and just saying afterward that money cannot be refunded.

                                      i want to tell company that first of all their is only one customer care centre in rourkela.which is in civil town ship.this place is about 3 kms away from the main city of rkl.we have to go there for our problems and after reaching there if the executives will behave like this them why will we use airtel.we will switch to vodafone which has atleast 5 centres at rourkela itself inspite of being a small company than airtel then will we not take those ?

From last 2 or 3 month AIRTEL is subscribing me in some of their offer without my consent and deduction my balance when i am calling back to customer care service they are telling that i have send massage to them to subscribe that offer. But i can tell with full assurance that i have not send any that types of massage.
