Sir,
I am one of the first broadband customers in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur Dt. Kerala. My broadband connection is effective from 2005. Never ever in my history I paid for excessive usage. The latest bill was for Rs.1052 which I paid today, 14.08.2009. The usage as recorded in the site is totally wrong. My computer was out of order during a considerable period of this billing cycle and naturally I was unable to use the net connection. I would like to bring to your notice this for speedy action.

As per your portal details my billed usage was 1887 MB. I was very surprised and shocked to see my hard copy of the bill which is for Rs 7354.00.Please find the attached print screen copy of portal bill, and scanned hard copy of bill. Kindly do the needful as earliest as possible which enables me to pay the bill on time.

Broadband-combo 500 — excess billing

I have received Bill. No.13006148 dated 7.7.08 for Rs.8279/-for the period from 1.6.2008 to 30.6.2008. My consumer no.2395613 and Ph:[protected]. I verified my account details in the net and found the following discrepancies in the bill.

June 2008 billed for 811MB is Rs.8279.00
May 2008 billed for 10122MB is Rs.689.00
April 2008 billed for 11406MB is Rs.1708.00
March 2008 billed for 2561 Mb is Rs.1226.00

From the above data it is very clear that Rs.8279/- for 811MB is totally wrong. I am a home consumer and the above amount is beyond my ability to pay. Please look into this and take necessary steps to send and correct bill and pray to cancel the excess bill sent to me.

Expecting an early reply on this. My last date for remitting bill is on 30.7.2008.

Broadband — broadband combo 500 bill complaint

i received a bill for rs.1124/- today as combo500 fixed charge to[protected]=500, and combo500 fixed charge to[protected]=500, taxes =124, total=1124/-. but i paid the previous months bill for rs.562/- vide bill no.19756563 dated 7-9-2008 at counter no. 619.
kindly verify and correct the issed bill

home 500c — Excess billing

I took broad band connection, which was activated on 25.12.2008. The usage as observed in 'view usage" was only 40.5 mb. but the bill came was for Rs 1407/-. pl. let me know in detail how the billing was done.

    I got influenced by the advertisements of fast BSNL broadband and applied for a connection. Soon a landline and wireless modem was installed at my place. Right from the beginning my connection never lasted more than a minute and none of the websites opened not even the BSNL website. I found out the complaint number and registered compaints regularly. Its been almost 2 weeks and my problem still persists.

    I get a call from someone from BSNL office everyday in the korning and also around 9 pm a night on the landline asking about the problem. After listening to the problem the only reply they have is that the line is ok... there must be something wrong with your computer. I am using a VIAO notebook which works perfectly with the Ortel connection I have. Till date the problem is not solved and the customer care of BSNL is just a show...

    HIGH HANDEDNESS OF BSNL EMPLOYEE

    I used to get a call from BSNL office everyday from different numbers so I asked the person calling his name to which i got a reply that it is not necessary for me to know hi name and that it is enough that he is calling from "INTERNET". So this Mr. INTERNET from BSNL asked me when i was going to be home. I said I leave for work around 9 am and come back around 6:30 to which he replied "then your problem cannot be solved" You have be home during working hours and then giv us a call and maybe we will go and check.

    BIZARRE QUESTIONS BY BSNL EMPLOYEE

    I get a call on my landline number everyday around 9 pm. The BSNL employee asks questions like What is the meaning of your name? Is it my name or my Wife's name? Why, my wife did not ask me the meaning of my name? etc etc. I man this is rediculous. What has my name go to do with my internet connection. Bloody Chu***.

    SOLUTION

    I have decided to unsubscribe from BSNL services and save myself and my family from this harassment. Please do not trust BSNL just because its a Government controlled company. Rest is your decision. The connection will be fast only if you manage to get connected right?

    I am also contemplating filing a Police case to save myself and my family from the crank calls from the BSNL employees at odd hours.
    UPDATE ON THE COMPLAINT
    I pursued my complaint with the higher authorities of BSNL through email. I got a very assuring reply from them AND MY PROBLEM WAS ADDRESSED effeciently and I am not facing any more problems. My broadband is working perfectly fine now.

      My telephone No. 2432247 (Rajaji Path, Mhatre Nagar) Dombivli is out of order for the last two weeks.
      Though the line man attended the compaint after 5 days of registration, and informed that he will come back as the cable is required to be replaced. It is almost two weeks now, there is no sign of any response from BSNL. nor the lineman !!!

      My BSNL Telephone No.[protected] is dead from 8th August, 2009. IMy neighbour had done a complaint on 10.8.2009 and myself has being following up with Mr. Darade of Juchandra Telephone exchange on his cell since 11.8.2009. No actopn is being taken. Till date my phone is dead it only ringing in the exchange.

      Today also I have called Mr. Darde and he said it will be done.

      You are kindly requested to look into the matter and take necessary action at the earlest.

        Follow these steps:

        1. Turn on your modem, open any browser, type in the browser http://192.168.1.1
        2. It will prompt you for username and password. put "admin" (without the quotes) in both field.
        3. Go to Advanced Setup. There will be 5 bridge connection and 1 PPPoE connection.
        4. Edit PPPoE Connection.
        5. Click next, next. Then you will see PPP User Name and Password.
        6. Set the user id to the first user id with which the connection was taken. and its password as well.
        7. Next and Save and reboot the modem

          I am using BSNL EVDO card with the 2.4mpbs speed and unlimited download scheme, but i am not able to do a voice chat using the evdo card. That means the speed of the internet using this EVDO is worst.

          A simple voice chat is not supported with this internet connection.

          I paid 3000Rs/- for the device and purchased that BSNL will never do cheat, they said 2.4mpbs and i am not even getting 30- 40kbps speed.

          I thought they have said 2.4mpbs and at the worst case i will get 1mpbs ( but atlast the BSNL cheated i am not even getting 30-40kpbs internet speed)

          Can anyone tell me where to complaint regarding this and get it fixed with the speed.

          I am paying 550Rs/- monthly, which is really a worthless.

          Some times the browsing speed also gets dumped.

          Please raise this issue in the BSNL head of department and get the thing fixed. Please

          Unfortunately I also took the connection without reading the reviews like this. Very low speed and not useful to work using this EVDO card.

          If you get any ideas to improve the speed, please advise.

          Unfortunately i am also one of you. i have a 1mbps plans of EVDO card but downloading speed is between 2kbps to 5 kbps.
          EVDO is really its
          waste of money
          waste of time
          waiting for min to open even a single web page..
          we get just 20 to 40 kbps ly as download speed...
          for this we are to give rs999 which is worthless..
          there should be some reasonable cost for paying but this devices is not so
          please make a suitable facility and demand for cost

          i purchased new evdo card on rent base but i am not getting speed data transfer 15kb to 20 kb what do i do this is my problem not any custmer talk ti us he say kahana phas gaya yaar.
          i think i have been fooled....they said that i will have a speed of about 2 mbps but my speed hardly goes beyond 10 kbps....my location is just near the tower so my location is not the problem....i want my money back or the speed that i was promised to get.

            I have taken a post paid SIM Card (Mb.No. [protected]) connection of BSNL mobile from BSNL exchange Hapoli (Ziro), Lower Subansiri Dist. Arunchal Pradesh. I got the sim card on dated 24/07/2009 but till date the sim card is not connected with its BSNL network. I have already lodged a complaint about this problem to the concerned department on dated 01/08/2009 its complaint no. is 3647497 but till date I have not got any positive result. Its rental of amount Rs=225/- is going on without using its service.
            I have already lodged a aganinst this problem to your website on dated 12/08/2009 but till date no response has been received from your end. still I am waiting for your response.

                Someone called and informed that my father met with an serious accident and my mother was the one alone at home. She(58) depressed and become unconsious. After 1 hour my father turn home. Me working abroad and my wife is with me for holidays. what could i do now...pls let me know if ter is any other way i could trace the person.

                      I have a BSNL pre paid mobile connection of BSNL ([protected]). I have sbscribed for GPRS/MMS. On 2nd of Aug. 2009 i purchased Nokia 5130 Xpressmusic handset, and requested BSNL customer care for its GPRS/MMS settings, till date i have not received the requested settings. On sending the sms requesting for the setting on 53855 "Sorry, No available settings for your handset!" comes the reply from the server.

                          Hello Sir,

                          I had purchased bsnl broadband connection before 8 month and it is not working anymore(disconnect momently) i had complained lots of times. but they didn't solve my problem and also give me very bad responce. One sir is there called "Patel sir". He told me that we can't do you can leave this connection.we will not solve.BSNL has no value of their customer how can they say like this.

                          then after many complain lastly i disconnected my broadband connection.

                          and now I have purchased BSNL EVDO internet device. And as per bsnl statement it provide speed of 2 MBPS. But i am getting speed of 10-15 kbps. I am really tired.

                          I had also complain many times and they told there is some problem and they doing maintenance.

                          can you please help me to solve my problem ASAP.

                          EVDO usb modem — Inactive connection

                          I have a BSNL intenet connection,[protected] telephone no. But the connection was disconnected as the bill was delayed by 2 weeks. Its been 1 week since i paid the bill and even now the connection is not activated. They said the software needs to be updated . This also was done 1 week ago. Now every official say that its re-activated and that there is nothing they can do. They have asked me to contact whitefield exchange, but there is no response from the exchange. The phone just keeps ringing. Its impossible to get through to the officials..Not able to find any other contact info related to EVDO connection.

                          sir, i have been having this connection EV-DO wireless broad band (No:[protected]) for the past six months. since one month i have problems with connection.I t always says that either my user id or password is wrong. Though my bill is 618 per month, i have got a fresh bill of just Rs.222. Kindly do the needful.

                          Hello Friends,

                          I have recently taken the BSNL EV-DO connection. It just took one day to activate the ZTE AC8700 800M USB modem.

                          I live on Happy Thoughts Road near Rahatni Chowk at Pimple Saudagar. I get only two EVDO signal bars and sometimes I get 1X. On the first day I was getting speed from 60-170 Kbps which touched to 419 Kbps in one room.

                          The speed is not constant as the network fluctuates wildly. But I was surprised yesterday to get a max speed of 706 Kbps at Night 10:30 pm. I will test it more in the coming days. The ZTE EVDO application shows the max speed for that session and it never changes real time. If you have reached 800 Kbps it will show 800 till you end the session.

                          I just hope that I get a consistent speed of at least 192 -256 Kbps so that I can work from home by connecting to my office network. I guess you need to find the spots in your house where the signal is strong.

                          I get almost 23-27 KBps while downloading. That too depends on the signal stength.

                          I enquired with BSNL EVDO helpline and found that the nearest BTS is at Wakad or Aundh for Pimple Saudagar. Once they augment these towers we may see good speeds but only GOD knows when that will happen !!

                          I am using Windows XP SP2. I will try this on Ubuntu Linux and let you know the results.

                          i have one ev-do of bsnl and using it last one and half month but never get speed with this ev-do.
                          there are no body responsible at the office here.
                          just laugh and say what can we do?
                          as per some more informations there are only two transmission system in our city BIKANER rajasthan.

                          office know very well about the speed in other area but they dont tell us before to sale it.

                          BSNL — EVDO device purchased for broadband not getting activated even after passing 5 days.

                          I purchased BSNL WLL broadband device EVDO but still not activated not getting connection, nor any attendance of the complaint registered already at BSNL Gandhinagar (Guj.) office.

                          i have a bsnl zte evdo ,it is a internet connection ,which is wireless .in this connection ,i am geting only 15 to 20 kbps speed . bsnl tells that they give 144kbps to 3 mbps, but that is not true sir .
                          sir plz give me the right solution ......
                          I agree with all of them. I am living at near Baghajatin station in Kollkata, WB and I have an EVDO data card with the 750 unlimited scheme. I face many problems on slow speed like 15-30kbps transfer rate and sometimes it goes Nil(0.5-5kbps.). I did many complaint on BSNL to the number[protected] many times. and Now I do contact directly with the JTO's of kolkata head offices . They assure me that they will take action but they could not. Of-course they can not.The problem is going during 4-6 months, no action has been taken for that. Only assurance are given. If I give a written complaint to the higher authority and suggest all EVDO user who facing it to do it then will it work?? After reading many sites forum I think its happened with many one and no action has been taken.

                            Subject:-Complaint regarding the unexpected delay of re-establishing of bb connection

                            Sir,
                            I, Dr K Sundaresan (Tel: no:[protected], was a customer of land line & broadband connection of bsnl .This letter is to report a compliant against the delay of service provided by the jto’s office kaimanam, Tvpm.
                            There is a line fault or some thing happened and the modem given by bsnl found off and we approached the JTO office kaimanam, Trivandrum for assistance but they came and changed the adapter and gone but there exist the fault and they told that there is some thing happened to the modem but they don’t respond On Saturday(01/08/2009) and just enquired about the complaint and kept quite there - we are using the bb-connection for online work and the net is very necessary in that case I told them about the seriousness of my work.

                            On Monday we called the office and nothing happened on that day also, on evening the telephone made unnecessary sound and no incoming call sounds are heard -checked the splitter and connected the line directly and it found working, so didn’t called the line man. “There is one thing congratulating matter is that the land lineman in our route is very sincere and efficient”---really good---On Tuesday morning at 10’O clock I called the bb-section, kaimanam and they told to call after 11’O clock and did like that they replied that they know the complaint and will come and look on that.
                            Now my works was in delay for ten days due to this authority’s unresponsibilities. I am not at all complaining them rather I want to change my bsnl bb internet connection with some other (alternative) service provider due to the reason that i’m engaged in a work which is a committing one and have to carry out with full sincerity & without any delay.
                            To your note sir- I am a good customer of bsnl since 20yrs back with LL connection, BB connection and mobile, and I submit you that I didn’t made any delay in paying of any of my monthly bills or any service charges, you can check it with previous bills ---I like bsnl, but the service provided by some of our authorities are really negative----

                              I am a prepaid bsnl consumer. My mobile no is [protected]. I have activated my gprs through monthly scheme of Rs122. I am in Chaibasa distt. in Jharkhand. I have repeatedly requested to make available gprs facility in Chaibasa which is occuring problem for last one week.                                 This is regarding my BSNL landline shifitng delay. I have given the transfer request on 18th July 09 to shift my BSNL landline telephone from VijayaNagar, Bangalore to Sahakara Nagar, Bangalore. Till date no action has been taken on this request from BSNL officials. However i have got the work order number as 99851841.

                                I'm totaly disapointed with BSNL customer service.

                                  Dear sir

                                  I really admire the progress and growth of india wish to have a part of it. Let me introduced me first I am a NRI who strongly believe in india and indian came in ireland and settled here from last 3 years working at good position as research scientist in national research lab in ireland.

                                  my last visit in india was march this year when I was looking to use internet in india so BSNL was my first choice and I took VSNL datacard EVDO from Morena (MP) exchange through BSNL franchise and it was ok however the connectivity is not good but speed is ok so I was happy that in india there is mobile internet service are avalible. we close the connection at the time of my leaving and Exchange guy told us you can start any time whenever you need. I was happy that I countributed BSNL like company for its ok service (Not good i can say!!!)

                                  Then in my next visit when i planned to come india in August this year how the things changed and suddenly all the progress blown in air and everything it seems that it happens only in india and I feel very sad about coming back. when I reached india in august I thought it would be ok and I will start My EVDO card and use it for my work here in my home town in morena (MP) and after reaching there I found that there is no signal for my EVDO card in my area which is in main city centre (Near railway station) and I could not used internet there. I thought let me asked to exchanged guy about what the things went wrong for them and why it is not working here. I went to Exchange of Morena and talked to several person about the problem and complaint for the problem which I faced. they told our tower is not working in that area and only few meters range around the exchange (which is out side of the city) the card can work and rest other area is depend on other tower so we are unable to correct it. I told tell me the time when it will be OK. then they reply me you know its government work its take time I told tell approximately time when it will be Ok then then again and again told forgot about the tower or even we dont have any plan right now so forgot. I asked should I buy a house near to your tower so atleast I can use internet. they ashamed me and it was the first time of my life when I was really shocked by the behavior of the employee and how the peoples take the things for granted. they think its government job so who care about service and customer. just come in office at their wishes and go to home this simple ideology I found in the employee there.

                                  I can give you some example about BSNL how they treat the customers-
                                  Initially you know when peoples were crazy about BSNL prepaid mobile SIM because they think it has good connectivity at that time mostly all the exchange told the customer we are short in SIM so we can not give you so wait and waiting were quite long almost 2-3 years. most of the interested guys selected other plans like Reliance, Smart, Airtel others etc. but Exchange never care for it. when all the rush finished in 2008-09 now they have large number of SIMs for people now you tell me who will change his own number which already distributed. you just let me know BSNL only order 400-500 SIM to each exchange and once it was distributed nobody could be able to get SIM

                                  Similar things was happened to EVDO card, although its a good device and i experience with ok speed. When people are looking for internet at reasonable price at this time exchange guy or employees of BSNL are not able to provide service to the main area like in my care (Morena exchange) or they are in short of EVDO card (Many places...no body can wait so long after all he is paying money so why he will wait).

                                  I feel the reasons behind it and they are...

                                  1. Either private company paid the hugh money to exchange superior authority not to release SIM or EVDO or other good services or create disturbances in these services so that people can distract from those service and come to them.
                                  2. Even employee dont care about their employment because they think its government duty to give salary whether they work or not it doesn't matter.
                                  3. Customer care of BSNL you know how they care about the customer just try ...it

                                  Please look into the matter for the respect of great INDIA. My wife is still in india and hoping for any miracles happened in BSNL and things goes not in progress but at least as past as it is...

                                    I have booked new broadband connection on 25-Jul-2009 at Vasantha communications (P) Ltd (temporary stall) in Nanganallur. They collected security deposit money Rs. 500 and informed me that I will get the order form number in two days and connection in 4 working days. But after 4 days nothing has happened. I am contacting the franchisee from 31-Jul-2009 onwards but I am unable to get the details regarding the actual status of the new connection. I have called the following numbers but everyone attending the calls asked me to contact the other telephone numbers without informing me the actual status. Samples of some contact numbers.

                                        I (Ratnesh Choudary, Central Govt Employee) had taken a BSNL prepaid connection from Bhatpara/Kankinara Kolkata Exchange before 2.5 years (No:[protected]).Before 8 days without any information my sim's outgoing fecility blocked.after that I tried to give a complaint to Kalyani SDE with all the details regarding my mobile.(Mrs.Chinmay Chakraborty) but her respone was very bad and irritating like "go for another connection we have lots of works to do...etc" and the language she used was very bad.I just want to know the reason for disconnection of my number.so i kindly request you to give me the reason of disconnection.The details of my mobile is also attached.
