I (Davinder Singh Ghuman) have applied for credit card about six months ago to Canara Bank Branch Gurdaspur (code 1402) of state punjab but after 3 months i came to know from the head office at banglore that they have not recieved any information regarding issuance of credit card in my name. When i approached the bank with regard to this they asked me to refill the credit card application form and the required documents . I again completed all the needed paperwork and submitted my application. Now again three months have passed and the bank has simply no answers for the delay rather being a govt. institution the take it easy as issuance of credit card is of no direct benifit to them . I would further like to bring to the notice of concerned authorities that i am a class I govt. employee(veterinary doctor) drawing a monthly salary of 26000 and my salary comes in this bank(A/C No.[protected] .I urge upon the authorities to consider my complaint as genuine and take the required action .

Iam G.GLORIOUSGNANADEEPAN from Trivandrum working in a limited company for past 6 months. I have applied a credit card on[protected] from (CANARA BANK PATTOOR BRANCH, TRIVANDUM TC 27/1764). I have submitted the Copy of
PAN Card, Licience, Salary Slip, & my company identy card .The Branch manager has checked the application and forwarded to credit card depeartment on the above mentioned date. Till now i did't get my card . what the statues of my card. Please i request you to kindly check the statues of the credit card and send me.

    Herein with I am the undersigned Account holder of esteem bank having saving bank account (A/C No.[protected], like to lodge the complaint that on process of withdrawing cash with my Canara Bank
    ATM card(No.[protected]) with Axis bank, R.T Nagar Branch dated 20/05/09, time 19:21, ATM ID S1AW3634, Record No.400 for Rs.7000/-(Seven Thousand only) my transaction is not processed but my account is debited with the same amount.As my available balance was Rs.9051/- after that transaction my balance shows 2051/- and the same as been reported to Axis Bank also, directing to lodge the complaint with account holder branch.

    Hence I request you to consider my humble request and credit back the same amount as earliest.

      Hi!! I HAVE A SALARY ACCOUNT WITH AXIS BANK AND HAVING GOT MY SALARY YESTERDAY I WENT THIS MORNING AT 11.15 AM TO THE NEAREST ATM FROM MY HOME TO WITHDRAW MONEY. THE ATM WAS OF CANARA BANK IN RATHTALLA, KOLKATA. I PUNCHED IN THE SYSTEM TO WITHDRAW RS. 12000 FROM MY SALARY ACC. AND WHILE THE ATM WAS COUNTING THE MONEY THEIR ENTIRE SYSTEM GOT SHUTDOWN AND MY CARD WAS REJECTED AND I NEVER GOT ANY MONEY. SO I WENT TO ANOTHER ATM AND FOUND THAT RS. 12000 WAS DEBITED FROM MY ACCOUNT WHICH I NEVER GOT. THAN I CALLED UP CANRA BANK AND THEY TOLD ME TO LAUNCH A COMPLAIN WITH MY OWN BANK WHICH IS AXIS BANK WHICH I HAVE ALREADY DONE. AFTER THE APPLICATION PROCESS WAS COMPLETE WE WERE TOLD BY AXIS BANK THAT IT WILL TAKE MINIMUM 45 TO 60 DAYS FOR ME TO GET THIS MONEY BACK AS THEY WILL HAVE TO PUSH THIS MATTER WITH CANRA BANK. IF IT WAS AN AXIS BANK ATM THEY WOULD HAVE SOLVED IT IN TWO DAYS BUT PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS WORK SLOWER AND THATS WHAT MY PROBLEM IS. WHY AS A CUSTOMER SHOULD I WAIT 45 TO 60 DAYS FOR THE AMOUNT TO COME BACK TO ME BECAUSE OF CANARA BANKS ATM FAILURE IN THIS ERA OF COMPUTERIZATION. MY FAMILY IS DEPENDENT ON MY SALARY. PLEASE TELL ME MY FAULT AND WHAT SHOULD I DO?

        i checked my balance in canara bank atm .it shows RS.10000-/ detuction in my account
        without withdrawal. and i given complaint letter in that branch on 03/06/09 . but they are not
        responding. they are necligible my words. please kindly help me.

        Canara Bank — Money Deducted without Withdrawal

        Dear Sir,

        I am YS Patil having my salary a/c in Canara Bank - Hosur Branch bearing the account no - 36501, on 18-04-09 amount of Rs. 7700/- was deducted from my account with out any withdrawal. I have given the complaint in the Canara Bank Hosur Branch 2 times and also enquiring the status daily. They are telling that they have mailed to their Head office but not recieved any information. I needed the money urgently as I have to pay my daughter's school fee. Please kindly help. My mobile no. is [protected].

        This 100 year old lady can no more fulfill the expectations of her customers. Thanks
        to the "Wonderful" HR policy. Computer Illiterate Staffs are manning the counters. They even don't

        Same problem like Mr venkatesh - T. for me in canara bank Hosur. I am adikesavan from hosur, But I left chennai on 3/7/2009 to Bangkok. I have withdrawn Rs 10000/. from CBI - Atm - Purasawakam, Chennai on 27/6/2009. Again i have drawn on 1/7/2009 Rs 2000/. Inbetween balance amount in my account was missing (Rs 10000). i have sent letter to branch manager on 1/7/2009 through courier.I also filled the compliant form in website and mailed to concern. But as on today (7/72009) no reply from anybody. When i will get back my money?

        I faced the same problem yesterday. My account is with ICICI Bank and since this Canara Bank ATM is near my house in Sanpada, Mumbai (Maharastra). The first transaction of 1000/- failed saying ...ATM can't dispense money. I continued with second transaction thinking in today's robotic age ATM's cant make a mistake. But didn't realize their business logic are offcourse written by underpaid, college intern or training programmers (I know this because I worked with them as a customer when I was working with Red Hat - The Linix company) of same amount which was a success.. Their ATM's have buggy Java code and at times all most 1000 ATM's used to go offline because they didnt catch exception in their JAVA program which feed balance to their ATM's. Can you believe till this date they feed data on ATM switch and can't do online banking or update of accounts like ICICI or other banks).

        I checked my ICICI online account and was shocked to see that my account is debited TWICE with 1000/- each transaction. I have raised the complaint with ICICI bank and they promised to get back response from CANARA Bank in 8 days else they will approach VISA and will try resolving this issue in case CANARA refuse to pay money.

        yes, , , , i had problems with canara bank debit card. It does not work for some reason. i tried to buy air ticket from my debit card, it did not make any payment at all. It is very much frustrating. canara bank has the worst service ever.

        I Mr. Natraj kb the account no[protected], i transcation with canara bank atm center in hanumanthnagar 50feet road bangalore while withdrwal the ammount Rs 15000/- its gone back to the atm machine and i spoke to customer care there it self and lodge a complaint he said within 1 day it will credit to your account if it, s not possiable go to home branch and give a requesation letter they will sortit out, but i gone to home branch koramangala 100 feet ring road The Bank Managrer in the Name of HEGDE was telling it will take 1 month to credit to your account. and also he does not understnding the account holder problems he behave rashly.they are not helping to publics they are giving a hell lot of problems.if atm machine is problem that canara banka problem than why u put on the account holder head.

          I have taken housing loan from canra bank in the month of may 2006 with the rate of interest 3.75% below their BPLR.
          In the bank statement obtained from the bank no where rate of BPLR is mentioned. it is found that rate of interest has been changed (increased and decreased) by the canra bank but the information for change in the rate of interest (BPLR) with its effective date is not being intimated by the bank from time to time to me (coustomer).
          Even after the personal visit I could not obtained the rate of BPLR from the bank .The method/Rules of calculation of the interest with due date of debiting the interest is also could not be clerified by the bank at branch level to verify the correctness of calculation of the interest debited by the bank.
          I want the rate of BPLR of canra bank effective from the month of may 2006 and onwards with its effective date with the method/Rules of calculation of the interest aplplicable from the month of may 2006 and onwards with the due date of debiting the interest .

            My name is Soumya Srivastava.My atm card no. is [protected].My transaction of 3000Rs. from the ICICI Bank ATM 3465 at 19:20pm gets Declined due to System Error.When i done my transaction from my Canara Bank ATm1088, my transaction got processed and i debit 3000.Now when i saw my balance it shows that the 3000 more was deducted from from ATM 3465 even though the transaction was declined.I have the Mini Statement which is showing the transaction but there was a System Error.

              I am Sushil Kumar. I have canara bank account and account no is[protected]. I have canara debit card and card no is [protected]. Yesterday(01-June-2009) I tried to withdraw 10, 000 /--10, 000 /- Rs two times from icici bank ATM sector-60 Noida but due to some problem ATM did not release money and show error on screen but 20, 000 /- Rs has been deducted from my account.

              Please resolve the issue and transfer my money (20, 000 Rs) in my account[protected].

              I am a ICICI bank account holder 15 days before i withitdraw Rs 10000/- from my account in canara bank ATM located in vadapalani subhiksha apartment, but i get only Rs 9000/- from the machine, but Rs 10000/- was deducted in my account.i found some number to complaint in case of discrepancy in the ATM centre and make a call but no body attend the call, so i booked a complaint in ICICI bank they told me to wait up to 23rd of november we will update after getting the status from the canara bank.After 24th november i asked the status in ICICI bank, They said that they verified and found that the amount is fully paid and we will not reverse your amount.But i get only Rs 9000/- where can i complaint regarding this issue.
              On 22nd August 2009 I tried to withdraw an amount of Rs.5000/- from my account in Canara bank ATM located in Vallioor, Tirunelveli Dist. But from ATM machine I got a message the Transaction is Declined. But an amout of Rs.5000/- was debited from account. Immediately I booked a complaint to Canara Brank Branch Manager as well as ATM incharge person (Vidhya Shankar). I submitted two hand written complaints (The complaint No is 13). But till now I never got any reply from the Bank.

                I Have given request to Canara bank ( elco market, Babdra ) on 12th Dec. 08, they told me that give the request to the Union Bank of India malad (E) branch where is my A/C

                And I give request to Union Bank Of India Malad Branch on date 22nd Dec. 08.

                They told me that your amt. will credited in you’re a/c in 45 days but since now they have not credited the amt. R. 8000/- in my a/c.

                So please kindly help us for this matter .

                  Dear Sir,

                  My account in batlagundu canara bank branch in past 3 years. Last yr i got a ATM Card for emergiency purpose. but its missed. Again i discussed with our canara bank manager, and gave to the request letter for ATM card, month of November '08. But not receving the ATM card till dated. So many times i consult with manager, and clerk, some people. But batlagundu canara bank staff are not respont to me and customer. Daily bank starting time are 10.20, some customer angry, because customers are urgent work and office staff.

                  On the batlagundu canara bank staffs are not acceptable in customer level. please inform and guidance to your branch staff and take the necessary action.

                    I am holding the account in Hombe Gowda Nagar Branch and I approached the Branch Manager Mr. RAMADAS on 9th May 2009 at 11:00am to close my Canara Bank account (since I am extremely dissatisfied with the service). The branch manager denied to close my account and simply dumped me by saying it is already time to close the bank, the timing is over and I can close the account in any of branch. The branch Manager did not agree even after requesting him that it is urgent and I have come so far to do this task.

                    The Branch Manager did not show any respect to the customer and he is hardly concerned I am standing infront of him with the request.
                    I was extremely dissatisfied and I went to Canara Bank HAL III stage to close the account. The branch Manager is HAL III stage says there is no way that I can close the other branches account. Then, I called the Hombe Gowda Nagar Branch Manager Mr. Ramadas to check 'why did he dumped me by saying that I can close my account in any of the branch?'. Mr. Ramadas did not give me a proper reason he dropped the phone by saying "I told you, you should have an account in that branch to close the other branch account". I am very much sure that he did not tell this to me. Infact, he told me that I can transfer the account to HAL III stage. If I can transfer the account to HAL III stage then why do I want to close it.

                    I am extremely dissatisfied with the service given my Mr. Ramadas(Branch Manager Hombegowda Nagar, Bangalore) being in a such a responsible procedure. He thinks that he can dump any customer using his position. With the growing world of technology and advancement in banking and increasing competition in banking the response given by Mr. Ramadas is the worst I have ever seen.

                    I appreciate if you take this compliant seriously and take the necessary action so that atleast the other customers do not become the victam of such incidents.

                    Canara Bank — THE BRANCH DUMPED ME BY SAYING I CAN CLOSE THE ACCOUNT IN ANY BRANCH

                    I am a Saving Account No16361 Holder in your Bank's branch Purdil Nagar Dist. Mahamaya Nagar U.P. I am a bulding contractore. I need a cheque book for work operation. I had gone at branch for A New Cheque Book to issue. Manager said to me" Operate one year your account than after one year a cheque book issue to you by our branch." I asked to manager that it rule for cheque book issue not available in any branches and banking rules. My account balance is Rs. 5501/- in present time and operate last 3 months. Please a cheque book issue to me. Than Manager said to me " Get out from the Bank and operate your account any other bank.

                      I have deposited 2 of my salary cheques of Canara Bank, Bhojpur bearing nos: 575932 and 575931 for Rs. 21138.00 and 42776.00 in my saving bank A/C in PBB, state Bank Of India, Doctors’s Colony Branch, Patna on dated 07.04.2009. But till 07.05.2009 the amount has not been credited in my account. Due to this delay most of my ECS transactions of SIP, loan repayment and credit card payments are effected. Secondly, being this my salary I am having problems in household works. May I know the reasons of this delay and Who is responsible for this delay? So that I may claim for compensation and interest for the same amount.

                        We have issued Cheque No. 440354 dated[protected] for Rs. 101757.00 to M/s Raghav Industries Limited. Surat. The said Cheque has been presented in bank at Surat Canara Bank Nanpura Branch and has been returned. We have informed the Banker and they assure us that such incident will not happen again. Another Cheque of Rs. 54845.00 bearing No. 440352 has been returned by same Nanpura Branch, Surat.

                        We are shocked to see our Cheque return, In our Banking History of 30 years with Canara Bank, This is 1st incident where our Cheque .has been dishonored, inspite of having Sufficient Balance.

                        This is gross negligence on part of Canara Bank, and such officers Managers should be suspended. By this Canara Bank has spoiled our image and reputation in the market. Why necessary action should not be taken against all responsible officers/ Managers.

                        We had visited Chief Manager Mr. B.N. Kazi, Nanpura Branch, Surat, Gujarat on 4th may 2009 to seek clarification. He asked us to submit the letter and said we will reply to the matter. He was not at all sorry for the mistakes made by his branch. The behavior of the Chief Manager was rude. When Customer is visiting him traveling 300 Km. He is not at all ready to even interact the subject.

                        We request you to take Strong action against such Officers and Mangers who are making mistakes and trying to fool the customers. Our Image which is more precious has been lost due to your officers.

                        Canara Bank — returning of cheque in spite of sufficient fund

                        these canara bank emloyees are absolutely irresponsible they just sit idle and wait for the office hours to get over.
                        i am from kolkata and this incident happened to me
                        from the hopeless employees of canara bank, lake gardens branch.
                        they returned my cheque inspite of having more than the sufficient balance.
                        when i complained about this, they were just trying to put the blame on one another, but did nothing to solve my problem.
                        file a suit aginst them in consumer forum for deficienciey in service and get compensation

                            I, Prakash Shivshankar, have got an account with the Canara Bank Arumbakkam branch. I had issued a cheque for Rs.730/- to an internet service provider for an internet connection. Shortly after taking the internet connection I got a call from the Internet service provider stating that the cheque has bounced due to insufficient funds and an argument ensued between me and the internet service provider. I have inserted my ATM card (No.[protected]) at Canara Bank, ATM, Park Railway station, Park, Chennai on 22.04.09 at 16.34 hrs, term.12834479, record no.5882, to draw Rs.2000/-. The amount has been debited into my account and debit slip came. But before I take the cash the cash has been absorbed back into ATM machine. I have reported the matter into Canara bank, Egmore Branch to day (23.4.09). Kindly take necessary steps to credit back the amount to my account. Thanking you.

                              My father passed away last feb 09 and i tried to approach the bank to claim the money(He has the account in canara bank - Mattuthavani branch Madurai), but they did not have that claim form after two days struggle i got it from tallakulam branch then i went to the bank to collect the procedures to fill the form.But there were no proper response from the staffs so i went to the manger the next day and i followed his words, and got the signature from a gazetted officer and the acc holders of that branch., with putting lot of effort for one week, then i approached the bank then they were no proper response for one week.
                              At last i got the manager appointment, now they are saying the signature must be from another gazetted officer not from the acc holder.This is entirely conflicting with their previous advice.i working in a private concern and i got 15 days leave.Till now i did not get any proper response from the bank. So this is the customer service of mattuthavani canara bank branch in Madurai.

                              I am in Government health care services working as an assistant surgeon, and my treasury is in Veerakeralampudur, tirunelveli, Tamil nadu and my salary account is in Canara bank in Veerakeralampudur, had joined govt service on 16th november 2009, my first pay check for month of november was given and i had deposited it for collection in SBI Tirunelveli jn branch on 2nd of dec 2009, was made to run around to and fro and the response wasnt good when i made calls to the canara bank branch, finally i got the sum credited to my SBI account on 29th of december, next salary credited on DEC 31 2009 i had my troubles in the bank for gettin my own money and was said 'we are running short of people shouted at and harressed if this is the treatment they give to a doctor think of Illiterates goin to that particular branch, i personally feel would never start my own personal savings account in canara bank, Sloppy customer care...sorry i call it iresponsible disgusting way to treat fellow humans.I would suggestwhoever reads this message to think twice before startin an acc there.Will ever an action be taken against them??????????Thats the million dollar question?
                              I too agree but It depends upon the officer/staff. Many they don't want to work in Canara Bank. I went to Canara Bank, Mylpaore branch to open recuring deposits but the officer told you came in month end, come in nextweek. I went next week then he told me first few days we won't accept any deposit due to core banking issue so please come after few days. After few days I went he told today is staturday come on Monday. Saturday we are busy in work then I asked him to put the board as office closed.I made compalint to manager. Even the manager requested the clerk to accept the deposit. The clerk used very bad words and he told he is not going to get any benfit and he doesn't want to do any job for Canara bank.
                              Finaly he told he will not accept my deposit any more as I made a compalint to manager and asked me to approach other bank.

                                Today (04th April 2009) when I was withdrawing money from Canara Bank ATM, my ATM card did not come out of the ATM Branch of CD Block, Pitampura, Delhi

                                Please Block my ATM.

                                I could not call the toll free number written at ATM because it was not legible and the numbers written at Canara Bank Web Site were busy.

                                Please help.

                                  CANARA BANK ATM — CASH WITHDRWAL PROBLEM

                                  On 25.06.09 at 12.19 pm,
                                  I tried to withdraw money from a BANK OF INDIA ATM located in
                                  KIDWAI NAGAR, KANPUR using my CANARA BANK atm cum debit card (card no.-
                                  [protected])issued by canara bank etah branch. The machine
                                  showed transaction canceled and no money came out.
                                  But the amount (RS.10, 000) got debited from my canara bank account
                                  (a/c no.[protected] simultaneously .

                                  I also lodged a complaint on 26th june 09 (complain id. 4177) in
                                  canara bank's website but nobody replied yet.

                                  I used my canara bank atm card in uco bank atm near koramangala on 11/10/2009 and TXn No. is 2861.part of money 3300/- has came out and remaining Rs.1700 got stuck inside. Immediately i contact uco bank and complained. But they asked me to contact my canara bank. I wrote a letter to Bank Manager (canara bank) and personally given to manager.

                                    I am manohar from madurai, Tamilnadu. I am having a savings bank account in Canara Bank, Tirunagar branch, Madurai. Eventhough there was sufficient funds with my account my cheque has been bounced twice. when i enquired with the manager, he said the problem was due to the recent core banking system introduced. Anyway he admitted the mistake by his staffs. the same problem occured again. I generously left the issue eventhough i paid penalty the credit card company. After some days i went to ask for a new cheque book. the staff asked me to come by evening and collect it. i went there by 5 pm. he said evening means 2.30 pm. the next morning i went and asked for the book. He replied that he is busy with work and asked me to come by evening. i said in the evening i could come only by 5 pm that you won't agree. i have to come all the way from k.k.nagar. He gave me a superb reply stating that " why are u having ur account here i[censored]r office is in k.k.nagar. u have ur account with some other bank nearby". then i complained to the manager. He on his part gave a astonising answer" we won't give cheque book to people who give it for other banks". who is he to direct me to give my hard earned money. i have the right to give it to any fool.

                                      I AM A PENSION HOLDER FROM EPF, OFFICE FROM GAYATHRIPURAM, MYSORE WHICH WAS UPTIL TODAY GETTING DEPOSITED IN MY BANK ACCOUNT NO 6549, IN BRINDAVAN EXTENSION BRANCH, MYSORE.BUT MY LAST PENSION WHICH WAS SENT ON FEBRUARY 23, 2009 BY EPF OFFICE HAS NOT YET BEEN CREDITED IN MY BANK ACCOUNT .MY PPO.NO.IS 58.WHEN WE ENQUIRED IN THE BANK WE WERE TOLD THAT THE CONCERNED OFFICIAL IS ON LEAVE.THAN IS IT NOT THE DUTY OF THE BANK TO GIVE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THAT PARTICULAR OFFICIAL TO ANOTHER PERSON IN THE BANK.SO PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND PLEASE SEE TO IT THAT WE WON'T BE FURTHER EMBARRASED OR HUMILIATED OR WE NEEDN'T HEAR ANY OBSCURE LANGUAGE FROM THE BANK AUTHORITIES.

                                      I had an account in Alwarpet Branch Chennai dated 19.10.1984 and my account no: is 3975 and my balance amount was 256.75. As I lost my Pass Book i couldn't make any transaction. Now I want to
                                      withdraw the money deposited by me. how it is possible for me to get the money as I have settled in Kerala.

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      This is with reference to my Family Pension (A/c no. - 41860) received at Canara Bank, E.O.K. My pension has not been increased after 6th Pay Commission, instead it has been reduced.

                                      Earlier I used to get Rs. 6711/- as my Pension, now it has been reduced to Rs. 6529/-. After April 2009, including D.A Rs. 6867/-. I want to get this checked, that why my pension has not been increased .

                                      My. P.P.O. No.[protected] dated 10.3.2000 debitable to Central Government.

                                      Kindly look into the matter and do the needful as soon as possible.

                                      This month my pension was reduced by Rs5000/ reason for which is not known to me.Today is world elders day and this is the gift to an elder by Canara bank.My account no is[protected] maintained at Mira road branch in Thane dist.Will the authorities look into this.
