Sir,

Most respectfully, I, Bhaskar Das an account holder of Canara Bank,Hans Raj College Branch,Malka Ganj, (account no[protected] as well as a final year student of Hans Raj College bring to your notice an utter negligence of an employee - Mr. Satish Kumar Jindal , in the above mentioned branch while last 30th April , I was asking him for making a Demand Draft (DD). As I was appearing in my final year examination, so I could not make the DD in between my examination. But the very day when my examination was over, I went to bank for the DD. The DD was very important for someone to appear in a B-School interview. Mr. Jindal without checking the filled form gave me the stamped piece and asked me to collect the draft by 4 pm. He specifically asked me to write my contact number on the form, and I did accordingly. But when I went to get the DD, Mr.Jindal surprisingly told me that he could not make the DD as that was payable at a SBI main branch. To hide his carelessness he told me that I should know the rules of the banks. I agree that as an Under Graduate student I should know some rules. But it is not possible to a common consumer to know each and every Banking rule.
I want to focus some points against Mr. Jindal, which I could not understand:
1) When I submitted the form for DD, as a responsible person Mr Jindal should have checked it. Without checking the form there is no point to ask me to get the DD, by giving the stamped piece. I think that was supposed to be a duty of a responsible employee.
2) According to a banking rule Mr Jindal, insisted me firmly to put my contact number in the form. Which I did. I do not understand why the number was taken. It should not be taken only for the Bank’s security. It should be used for a consumer’s convenient also. I think, as my no. was written on the form I could have been informed so that I can get a DD from another branch.
3) The DD was very important for a B-School interview. It was a question of someone’s career. You can understand the situation of a student who was to go for an interview by 1st of May in the morning, was informed by 4 pm on 30th April that he cannot get his DD. Mr. Jindal has no moral right to play with someone’s career.
4) I do not understand why I was asked to get the DD around 4pm. As the banking time is till 3.30 pm. Mr. Jindal did not leave any other option to get a DD from another branch or bank. Because, as you know all the banks close by 4pm.

I was very disappointed because of Mr. Jindal’s activity as well as his with behavior. As an account holder of that Bank I want to bring to your notice the above matter. I will be waiting for your further response.

    Dear Sir,
    I am having a Saving Bank Account no.5640 with your Itarsi Brach. I had lost my ATM Card before six month back and informed to the Brach immediately and frozen the card. At the same time I had applied for issue a new ATM/Duplicate card. After four months I couldn't get my card, again I approched to the bank and they asked for one more new application.That I given on 5/3/2010. After that every time I enquire about my card and they informed it not come.

    Now I request you to inform me the latest position of my application and do the needfull to get my Debit Card immediately.

I talk to bank persons but he is not replying. I lost the receipt of deposited amt of canara bank. Pls help me to get this amt credited in my account.

        I am having canchamp account in Belgaum Canara Bank Branch but i am not able to deposit any amount in Gulbarga branches for the said account as they are asking corebanking account number.and from internet banking (corporation Bank) also i am not able to transfer the fund to the said canchamp account.

          sir,
          i would like to inform you that i tried to withdraw an amount 400 r.s. from canara bank, branch-railway station,MLR city[mangalore],
          by date 05/04/2010,
          time-20:11 hr,
          term[protected],
          record no-4151.
          But i couldn't get any balance while there is a withdrawal of 400 rs from my SBI atm cum debit card. Till now,i dint get any balance in my account, my SBI atm card informations are as below-

            I have maintaining my account with canara bank since 2008. I think as a customer I can expect a minimum level of response and respect from them. But when I approached canara bank for my ATM card replacement, I had faced lot of problems. Iam listing the same below

            At first I went to canara bank branch on 10/03/2010 and gave a request for card replacement. The person has asked me to wait for an hour. He said the same will be reissued within 10 days of the receipt of the request. I had waited for 10 days. But I didn’t received the card.

            Again I approached your branch after 10 days, but their people said that I had never placed the request. Then the person said that he will put an entry into the system as a new request and made me to wait more than 30 minutes. Again i waited for 15 days. But i didnt received the card.

            Again I have approached canara bank branch on 06/04/2010, but the response from their side is “I WILL RECEIVE IT BY NEXT 3 TO 6 MONTHS”. I think this is not a fair response.

            The tone of the person who responded me was frustrated and hurts me very much. I was treated in an inappropriate manner. And it doesn’t sounds well

            This is not the good way a customer to be treated in a bank where the persons around are well educated and trained in servicing the customer.

            I hereby request you to do the needfull.

            A somewhat similar thing happening in my case. My debit card has stopped functioning 1 month before the expiry date. When I approach the bank branch in Pitampura, Delhi, I get a very cold response from the staff there. It seems no body has any clues about how a debit card is to be renewed. I other banks (e.g. Bank of Baroda) the replacement card comes ready for issue at least one month before the expiry date of the existing card. In Canara bank even high officials don't show any response to customers' complaints. There is not even a preliminary acknowledgment of your e-mail complaint. The customers' grievances complaint form on the web does not work and does not register complaints !!!
            Canara Bank staff are behaving inappropriately in various branches in the recent 15 years. I have been maintaining an NRI account with Canara Bank since 2001. I had a very good impression about the branch till 2004. But, from 2005 onwards, I lost all the good impression about Canara Bank.

            Not only in one branch, this kind of Master - Slave attitudes is been spread across the Canara Bank in the state ( Tamil Nadu ).

            It is very unfortunate but true.

            I am holding Canara Bank savings account since 10+ years.. Whenever I visit my home branch, I'll be back with some bad experience. One such happened last week when I visited Byatarayanapura branch in Bangalore[protected], no body was in seat at 3:00pm and I asked one official sitting in counter to know who can help me transfer the account to other branch. The response was "go and check in counter 1", He knew there were nobody and still the same answer. When I told there are nobody in that counter, he told "I do not know, Its not my job!". I was stunned with this reply and how they value the responsibility as a Canara employee. Each and everyone must respect their customer and they should feel that they are representatives of the bank brand. But we wonder how exactly Canara recruits their employee who even do not know how valuable their customers would be.
            Requesting hereby to Canara Bank managers to take quick action on customer satisfaction..

              I typed the money to widrawal from ATM , not received the money from ATM machine, in the receipt its displayed 3000 is been debited from my account ,and immedietly i called my bank and informed through phone , and i gave an written complain in my bank on 12.03.10, but till date i have not received any response from the bank , now bank has issed a letter stating that the money has been dispachend,how to proceed with this problem , pls help me.

                This is to bring it to your kind notice that I am having an savings bank account in Canara Bank, Noida, U.P. I had made the transaction to withdraw the amount of Rs 1400 from the Canara bank ATM,sector 63,Noida,U.P. but the machine didn't throw the amount and amount deducted from the total amount.                 I visited Canara bank for the same problem and given the written complaint. After visiting many time, I got 300 Rs as credit instead of 1400 Rs. Again, I given written complaint for balanced refund amount of Rs 1100 and branch manager told me within 10 days amount would get reflect and I think more than 2 months have passed but my balanced amount is not credited. They told me this is a fault of ATM machine and rest amount is not found in the machine so only 300 Rs credited in your account and given me the contact no of person sitting Bangalore to ask him the balanced amount 1100 Rs. Do, I really need to contact a ATM person as a customer? It’s really being a irritating process, I am already suffered 3 months, now, I don't know how long the balanced amount will come.
                I sincerely request your good self to kindly do the needful.

                Dear Manager Sir,

                I am Israil Shaikh customer of Canara Bank Branch of Nariman Point (Mumbai).My Saving Bank A/c No. is[protected].

                I have Deposited a sum of Rs.14000/-(Rupees Fourteen Thousand) on 12Th of April'10. I was tried to withdraw the amount

                of Rs.11000/-(Rupees Eleven Thousand) with the Sequence No.1670 on dated 14.04.2010 by time 13:03:54. Due to some error the

                cash was not withdrawn. But the amount of Rs.11000/- was debited from my Account.

                So kindly revert my amount in above mentioned Saving Bank Account as soon as possible.

                I am in so many problems. Please do the needful for me Sir, I am waiting for Your Email.

                    on 8th Oct 2009 i gone to withdraw a sum of Rs.1000/- Rupees onethousand in SBT ATM NEAR NEWBUSSTAND, SALEM. but i haven't received the amount from the atm but the amount is deducted from the sb account. i have made a compliant in the branch and also to the call centre of canarabank.
                    but there is very very poor response from their side. till now i have Spent Rs.150/- for phone itself.
                    that is why peaple are prefering the pvt. bank for customer service.

                    Canara Bank — non receipt of cash

                    Myself syed aslam, on 2nd of oct 2008 i had been to my home town kollegal, i have used my HDFC debit card in your canara bank ATM (non availabilty of hdfc atm) in evening, i drawn Rs 15, 000 but i got only Rs 6000 only balance Rs 9000 get struckked
                    in ATM and get back to machine, and showing in statment that
                    15, 000 withdrawal, immediately i braught to notice of your security person but he helplles. next day morning i given a written complaint to that branch manager he told it takes min 10 days but it's almost 20 days over even though not set right transaction.
                    so i kindly request you to arrange to set right th transaction duely crediting th balance of Rs 9000 to my A/C
                    ( [protected]) as early as possible.
                    I had transferred money from my Citi bank account to my Canara bank account (Vasundhara Enclave, New Delhi branch) on the following dates through EFT:

                    1. 10th Nov. 2007... Rs. 1000.00
                    2. 01st Jan. 2008... Rs. 2000.00
                    3. 08th Jan. 2008... Rs. 1500.00

                    As a normal case, the respective amounts were deducted from my citi bank account, but I did not received any of these amounts in my canara bank account.

                    I reached citi bank first and enquired about these EFT's, and they said that the money was transfered to the above said canara bank account, so I needed to contact the canara bank for any possible issues. The citi bank officials assisted me with the respective RBI transaction numbers also which I gave to the Branch Manager of canara bank and he said that he will find out where was the delay.

                    After that, since past 3-4 months, I have regularly been contacting him on phone as well as personally and each time he gives me same reply that he has sent a letter to the head office for enquiry and is waiting.

                    Now, this has come to my exhaust. And I am looking for a right channel to get my money before I am compelled to reach the court of law.
                    I transfered Rs 20000 to CANRA Bank account on 22/12/2008 from ICICI Bank. Still now it was not credited to Canara Bank account. I contact ICICI bank many times they told that it was transfered to CANARA bank on 23/12/2008. They given the RBI refrence number also. But still now the amount not yet transfered to CANARA bank. What I have to do ? Shall register this complient in consumer court?

                    Today (27 April 2009) I attempted to withdraw Rs. 2000/- from the ATM of Bank of Maharashtra in Pune, Bibewadi area. In my first attempt, money did not come out and I have received the message on the screen that "wrong optoion selected". But I find that money (Rs.2000) is debited from my account. Then I tried for the second time and I could get the money. So the first attempt money Rs. 2000/- which did not come out but debited from the account needs to be restored. Please do the needful to restore Rs. 2000/-. The details of my account is:

                    Rs.10000/-. Kindly rectify the balance in my account, and enable
                    me to withdraw the amount at the earliest.

                          My mother was holding a DeMat Account with the aforesaid Bank. An Agent by name Mani Suresh operated my mother's share transfers by using his Trading Account. One fine day this bloody person transferred her dematted shares to his trading account by forging her Signature in Canara Bank's leaflets supposed to be in her name & sold / transferred these stocks to his Accounts at NAVIA MARKETS, RELIGARE & INTEGRATED ENTERPRISES. Running to an amount of 4-5 Lakhs my mother was dependent on this money for her son's education, House Expenses for Survival including Medical Emergencies. What Bank would allow this without verifying the signature of the customer & without the presence of the customer how could they transfer to some Tom Dick & Harry. Can't anybody have questioned this cheat about the presence of the customer & had they been sincere they would have double checked the signature and we would be saved from all the trouble.

                              I am an NRI, and i had requested for my statement of accounts with Canara Bank East masi street for the past one month. In spite of my incessant requests, i am not being attended to. Being in dubai, i dunno what to do and how to go about. If I can get the regional bank manager of the General manager incharge of madurai regiion. it would facilitate me to be in touch with him and take up this matter with him.

                                Greetings!!!

                                Stating in contrary that I have my account in CANARA BANK : Bhairon Bazar, Belan Ganj, Agra, U.P.-282 004.
                                When i opened my account i filled form in which i have given my mobile number. That means whenever some amount is deposited or transferred in my account then i will got a message in my mobile. But i haven't got any type of message in my mobile yet although there have been 6 transactions/transfers till now to my account. I always have to inquire to your bank to know about the transaction. Now i am in noida which is creating some problem to call and inquire to know about balance in bank. I even called 10 times to bank and customer care too.If problem has not been solved soon then i have to go court DIRECTLY.

                                I hope you will definetely solve my problem.

                                Kindly plz check and tell me the status so that i can recieve message/sms in my mobile for the account balance or transaction.

                                  my name is R.Krishnan. I have an account at virudhachalam canara bank branch. At the time of opening my account i have applied for ATM card. Till now i not received my ATM card. When i asked to bank manager, there is no responsible answer from him. My salary credited in my bank account. Hence i feel much difficulties for to draw my salaries. Kindly help to me. I am thinking to go to consumer court about canara bank poor consumer satisfaction.

                                    I MAINTAIN FIVE ACCOUNTS WITH THE SAID BRANCH BUT I REGRET TO STATE THAT FROM DEC.2009 THE PASSBOOK UPDATETING MACHINE IS LYING DEFUNCT AT THE BRANCH

                                      I have been sent a courier containing my Pin No of my internet account by Canara bank, Bangalore last week and the boy who brought the cover (on 26th Feb,2010)refused to deliver the cover saying the named person is not there and will come back with the cover on the next day, He also asked to get tha letter and ID to prove the addressee. I waited the complete day to collect the courier on saterday 27th Feb,2010, But no one came to deliver the said cover. after troubled attempt to fond out the courier company, I found that franchiese at Tambaram east, I found Tick Tack is the company who should deliver and when I went to them toady, he deliver lethargic even to give reply and told that the courier has been sent back to Bangalore. Is it the way you want to give service to your costomers at Tambaram, Can you get the cover back from Canara Bank and deliver to me at the earlist.

                                        SUB: REQUEST FOR EXCESS DEBIT MADE IN MY S.B. A/C NO.[protected] REG..


                                        I HAVE PURCHASED ONE VEDEOCON BRAND 190 LITTRS REFREGIRATOR AT BHARATH ELECTRONICS & APPLIANCES, 100 FEET ROAD, GANDHIPURAM, COIMABTORE - 641 012. VIDE BILL NO.I / 0910 / CBE / 4697 DT.16.08.2009. THE BILL VALUE IS Rs.9500/-. I PAID THE AMOUNT THRO CANARA BANK DEBIT CARD NO.[protected]. FOR Rs.9500/- . I GOT DEBIT CARD SWIPE SLIP FOR THE ABOVE AMOUNT. BUT IN MY ATM STATEMENT IS WAS WRONLY SHOWN AS Rs.10091.22/- THAT IS AN AMOUNT OF Rs.591.22 IS EXCEESLY DEBITED IN MY ACCOUNT.

                                        I ASKED MY SELLER FOR THE EXCES DEBIT MADE ON MY PURCHASE BUT HE SIMPLY SAID HE CAN NOT TAKEN ANY RESPONSIBILTY REGARDING THIS MATTER AND I HAVE TO CONDUCT THE CANARA BANK CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE.

                                        I CONDUCTED OVER PHONE TO THE CANARA BANK CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE AND THEY SAID THAT I HAVE TO PRODUCE COPL OF PURCHASE BILL, DEBIT CARD SWIPE SLIP WITH COVERING LETTER TO MY S.B. ACCOUNT BRANCH COIMBATORE - MADUKKARAI WHRE I HAVE AN ACCOUNT AND UNFORTUNATELY TILL DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REPLY FORM THE BANK.

                                        AS THE TRANSACTION HAS TAKEN PLACE ABOVE SIX MONTH . I REQUEST YOUR GOODSELVES TO LOOKING THIS MATER AND ARRANGE FOR THE REFUND OF EXCESS AMOUNT DEBITED IN MY ACCOUNT.

                                        I Sri Ram Mohan Roy of the above mentioned SB A/C. holder regret to put to your kind notice that on 05.05.2009 at around 7.35 pm tried to withdraw Rs. 5000.00 from AXIS Bank ATM counter at Baidyabati, Hooghly, WB, by using my my ATM card which has been issued by you accordingly.

                                        After inserting the card and entering of my PIN No. and completion of the whole process, no money released from the ATM m/c. and so once again I had to try the same operation immediately but failed again. The paper slip released from the ATM m/c shown “No access” for both the operation.

                                        Next day I withdraw the same amount of money from SBI ATM counter at Baidyabati, Hooghly, WB by using my same ATM card and could draw the money but found that my A/C. balance was showing less Rs. 10000.00 withdrawn against last two operations which were not completed at all.

                                        Once again I checked up from your Hare Street branch on 07.05.2009 and found that my A/C. balance was still showing that Rs. 5000.00 each was withdrawn from my A/C. on that day twice.

                                        I am totally confused and could not understand that whenever I could not draw the money actually from the ATM m/c. how and why my A/C. will be debited and why not there will be Rs. 10000.00 excess in your own balance in any way!!
