i booked a chevrolet spark on[protected]. then also in that same day i put the purchase for finance section, i prefer for 4 year finance, but finance company granted me for 3 year thats not reasonable for me so i canselled that booking, executive said refund intwo weeks nows reaching third month , nowadays executive wont ready to take my phone.....

    I booked the chevrolet aveo on 23rd september. The promied delivery date is 31st September. and now they are saying 27th Oct is the delivery date :(

    Same with me.
    I was told a waiting period of 15 days and now they are saying it is 1.5 months. The dealer said there there has been a sudden huge demand for the chevrolet aveo and it is causing production backlog. I don't know how to validate that.

    I am Dadoli Prasad Patel PGDM student from SICOMS Kerala
    I did not receive my DD. they gave a promise defiantly we will deliver within 4 day. unfortunately I could not receive .
    My DD no 19057747 . by Madhu courier .
    DD had been dispatched 10 APR 2010. Delivery date they told. This DD will reach 14 APR .

      Hi

      I bought Spark from Auto Vikas Dwarka on 30 Aug 2009 and they offered me Gold coin with car.

      Before I purchased they offered me good cash discount and when i went to purchase they said that scheme has changed and now they cant provide same cash discount.
      They were giving me 3000 corporate discount on my company but because they were not giving me the same cash discount their sales man offered me corporate discount of 5000 if somebody is working in Convergys in your relation.
      So i gave the documents which they asked for corporate discounts.

      Its been more than a month now still they haven't given me Gold coin and my service booklet.
      They keep on giving new excuses every time and Now they are saying that they didn't got the corporate approval from GM as the person is not in your blood relation whose documents i gave them for corporate discount.
      I dont understand If I was not supposed to get the corporate discount on the person who is not in my blood relation then why they offered me that corp discount, I had explained my relationship to that person to Auto vikas people before signing the deal and that time they assured me of the full corporate discount and now they are not accepting it.

      Please suggest How to go further with them. My Gold coin and service booklet are with them till yet.

      Auto Vikas Dwarka offered my friend free accessories worth Rs.14 thousand in Sep 09. When he got car delivered in Oct 2009, they gave only worth Rs.7 thousand free accessories. When asked, they said the offer was for last month when you enquired and when you paid money this month it has changed. This is not good selling techniques by Auto Vikas.
      has your complaint resolved or not yet ? I am facing same problem and struggling for the same problem.

      I have purchased Cheverolet SPARK( LPG) on May 11, 2010 after seeing the advertisement of Gold Coin in Newspaper..Dealer promished to give Gold Coin...But now he is refusing to give gold Coin......Kindly take suitable action....

        My chevrolet spark has done just under 6000 (six thousand) kilometers and and i have been told by Metro Service Centre, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, to replace with immediate effect, my two front tyres as they have worn-down.
        How is this possible? The car was purchased on 20th. August 2008 from Regent Motors, Mathura Road, N. Delhi.
        The purchase of two new tyres will cost Rs. six thousand six hundred only.
        Your immediate attention is sought in this matter
        My car is taken for regular servicing for which i have the service receipts

          I bought Chevrolet Spark LS from Ms. MALWA MOTOR SALES PVT. LTD., G.T. Road Kundli, Sonepat, Haryana on 31/07/2009. Few accessories were offered free with the car. Gear shifting lock was one of these. They told me that the person who fits the lock is on leave today (31/07/2009), we will get the lock fitted at your home in a day or two. It is over one month and twenty days they did not bother to get it fitted. When I call them they just say that we will get the job done soon. I have written three mails to Chevrolet. Nothing has happened till date I am thinking of moving to the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum at Sonepat, Haryana. I would like to request the fellow consumers, “Don’t trust their promises because they are interested in you till you make the payment, after that only God can help you”.

            Reflection On Mirror

            I have bought spark third model recently few days ago in surat. I have satisfied all your company facilities in the car and our car has cream interior it looks good but it reflects to the mirror while we drive in day time and we can not see clearly because of reflection of desk-board which is very big problem.             I have bought a brand new Spark Car on 24th August 2008 in my wife Pallavi’s name, from Ashtavinayak Auto, dealers of General Motors India Ltd, after seeing their advertisement in the media & studying the flier which we got from the dealer on taking the test drive. We expected that we would be given a good car, but after the car was delivered I found that we have been delivered a car with a lot of defects. Enlist;

            1. There was a lot of rattling noise in the cabin when the car was running.
            2. The suspension was also rattling as if it was loose.
            3. The dash board was also creaking & rattling.
            4. Everytime the car turned to left or right esp worsened when the car passed over a very small pot hole or raised road joint; there was a loud metal clanking noise.
            5. The rattling would get worse if the car went on paver block roads or even a small pot hole on the road & road joints.
            6. Engine vibration felt in cabin

            I took the car back to the dealer & complained about the defects they said the speakers of the music system were not fit right. The rattle is because of speaker tray. All I felt assured but one day after the car came back all the complaints resurfaced so I took the car back on the 30th August & wrote to them ( Letter attached) They kept the car for 3 days & returned saying the problems were completely rectified. They told me they have replaced the defective suspension (vide Work shop Bill no 000456)
            I asked the dealer why a brand new cars suspension would have to be replaced on the second day of delivery & had you not done any predelivery inspection on the car when I was given delivery on 24th August 2008? The dealer claimed they have done PDI on 100 items as per their procedure. It was not a satisfactory answer to my query.
            After just 2 days all the complaints resurfaced. I took the car back to the dealer the dealer confirmed that there is a major defect in the suspension. I wrote them another letter on September 05 2008 & handed over the car to the GM dealers Representatives asking for a replacement.
            Instead on the 12th of September 2008 the car was given back saying the suspension has been changed again & the new & modified suspension which has come from GM was now fitted in the car. I was told the other problems will be solved after first service.
            After a week of running the car all the old complaints again resurfaced along with a few new problems, enlist;
            1. Humming noise in cabin
            2. Bubbling noise from compressor when it starts
            3. Engine knocking on breaking especially when the car is slowing down in low gears
            4. Spongy braking in spite of fitting sophisticated ABS braking system. Worse in slow moving traffic the braking is wanting so have to keep too much distance while driving in traffic.
            5. Driver seat belt clicking noise
            6. Very low average instead of the claim by company of 16.7Kms/ltr in media ads.

            Misuse of Car: The car was completely misused by the dealer in all the days that it was with them & the odometer mileage confirmed that the car was used by the dealer. I had given them the car with full tank of fuel (vide copy of cash memo of petrol station) when they gave me back it was empty. The odometer showed that while the car was in Ashtavinayak autos service station a total of 300 kms were clocked. I have complained about the same in my various letters to Ashtavinayak.

            I asked the dealer to replace the car they said they can’t do it but will ask zone Manager Mr. Sandip Deshmukh to see the car & take a decision. Mr Deshmukh came a few days later & took a test drive of the car acknowledged & confirmed all the complaints & requested me to give him a chance to set things right. I asked him for replacement of fuel & to take up the matter with the dealer why they have used my car for more than 300 kms. He said he will get the car completely assessed by the technical team from GM & get all repairs done & will also replace the fuel lost by me. He also said that if the complaints persisted after his personal attention they will replace the car.

            The car was taken back on 30th September 2008 by Mr Vikram & after test driving he listed all the complaints he had felt were there. Vide the Pick up note attached. On the reverse he has listed in his own hand writing.

            The car was delivered again on the 7th October 2008 claiming that the technical team had thoroughly looked into the car & found all my complaints justified & that there was some adjustment & loose fittings of various parts of suspension etc. The clinking noise from the front suspensions was due to the shorter turning radius given to the car & smaller axle but now all that was also rectified. The car was returned with invoice number 002271 dated 07 10 2008. Even though the fuel replacement was authorised by the GM person the fuel indicator was showing empty. I asked Mr Bosco who had come to deliver the car about it & he said there was a problem with the fuel station so it will be replaced when the car comes for first service.

            I was asked to sign a Satisfaction note which I did along with my comments assuming that all will be ok. After one week all the complaints resurfaced even worse than before. I texted many SMS to Mr Deshmukh but there was no response from him. He would not answer my phone calls. I wrote him an email twice but there is no response from him.

            No Receipt for money paid: I have not received any receipt for the money paid for the Cashless Ownership Offer listed under the column of Chevrolet Promise in the flier, informed about the same to Mr. Deshmukh but there is no response.

            The first service is due but since I have told them I am going to Consumer court for redress, the company is not sent a representative to collect the car for servicing.

            I have since made a lot of inquiries with other Spark owners while driving on the road many have confirmed facing similar problems. It seems there is a complete designing fault or something since the car is not getting repaired after all that has been done.

            GM has been completely negligent & insensitive to my grievances. They have given me a defective car & have been very deficient in providing after sales services. My communications with GM & their dealer confirms their negligent & defiant attitude.
            I urge your office to take up my case & help me get my money paid for the car along with the accessories fit in the car, RTO registration & taxes, insurance charges, All EMIs, bank charges & penalties for foreclosure of car loan, the amount paid for cashless ownership offer along with compensation which the consumer society deems adequate for all the physical & mental harassment & blatant violation of my consumer rights.

            Chevrolet Spark — Misleading Ad

            I booked a spark from Ashtavinayak Motors on 8 th March 2008, GM released an Ad stating if you but acar from 8 th -301 st march all that you need to pay for the next 3 yearts is cost of fuel as they will maintain the car, On asking the dealer & my subsequent conversation with Mr Sudarshan Sarma of GM he said i would have to Pay Rs 10000 to avail of this offer . This amount is not mentioned any where in the Ad not even in the fine print.This is taking the consumers for a ride

            Chevrolet Spark -GM — Services not provided as declared in ads

            I bought Spark LT on 14/10/2007, from Shiva Motors Ghaziabad, but now they are not providing any services as promised at the time of buying the car.The reason they are citing is that I did not collect any written documentation from the dealer.The helpline no is not providing me with any help as they are not providing me with any email id or complaint's team no. Rather they are exactly advising me the same thing as told by Shiva Motors

            That is because you dont know how to use it.
            You will get a spraying tool to colour your car.
            try it and spray your car with selected colour.
            Your complaint is of concern to me as my car is purchased about the same time as yours 20th.August 2008, and has done just under six thousand kilometers mileage; however, i have been instructed by the service centre to replace my two front tyres with immediate effect, as they have worn down.

            Infact your mail become an eye opener. I was palnning to by a spark last month. fortunately one of my friend told me that do not jumb into trouble as the spark has some design problem. So I went on reading the reviews got openion from owners etc and finally droped my idea of purchase. 60% of the openion I got was negative. So when you are investing the hard earned money pls do R&D. Dont go after the word of sales representatives.
            Anyhow you approach the consumer court to get your car replaced. Do not agree nothing less than the replacement of car. Write as many complaints to the cheverlet officials from bottom to top.

            Your story is unfortunate. I owned Spark in Nov-2008 & till date i haven't face any noticeble problem. I think you have got a Deffective or/already used car (might be damaged in accident?). But as a car Chevy SPark is really nice product... Extremely silent engine (Best in class), Good stability above 100-120Kmph speed with A/C on highways. I have completed 10000+ Km on my CAr... & really very satisfied... I already driven Wagnor, Santro & swift... But Saprk is nice Car. It has also got JDPower Best initial Quality Award (i.e.No. of Problems Per 100 cars in initial 1 year). You can check this on search engine. I can understand your pain & will like to know what happen further.

            I am fully agreed with the comments of Mr. Modi. I hav also purchased Spark in Sept. 2008. I have observed almost the same problems with a doubt that dealer has sold a used car to me.

            one of the worst evern driven on indian roads. It only drifts towards the left and friends, it's not an alignement problem, it's a design defect...Never ever remotely think of buying spark. I curse everyday the day I bought spark.
            Yes fully agree with the no QA (Quality assurence) of the world's No one gigantic auto company. GM India is worst in handleing consumer's problems that is after sales service. They are saling the cars having noisy axles and break hardening problems right at the showroom gate at the time of delivery. It is very clear that no pre-delivery-testing/checking is being done by GM India, safety standards are also being not considered seriously by GM India officials.             i too have spark n bought last year i am too getting problems with suspension and engine, there is large sound from engine like some suv is bieng driven also while driving there is constant sound from rear wheels also its brake system makes noise it has been driven only 3000kms.i have sd this complains at autovikas service stn moti nagr, delhi several times but they i think dnt care about coustmer complaints.also car milage is issue it only gives 10 to 11 kmpl, also sometimes gears get stuck and its very dangerous.iam really disgusted to buy this gm car spark

            GENERAL MOTORS LTD — PRE DELIVERY INSPECTION

            Sir, I purchased a Spark CAR from M/s S. C. Auto Ltd, Thane (Maharashtra) in December 2010. I have some problems with my car. In this connection I want to ascertain whether my car was properly checked by the dealer before delivery. Please help and guide me.
            i am from bhutan...i have different problem with my car spark. i had a light accident, since then i have two major problems. the male-ware light is always on. so i took the car to the Chevrolet center, but there was nothing detected. due to this, the engine get off the moments i start the car. so every time i start the car i have to raise the accelator. the other problem is when i get moving in same gear, i get jerk from the car. the male-ware light is still on though it has been 2 moths after accident. can any one help me.

            Hi Folks,

            Iam facing the same issues you uys facing.I have taken the delivery in the year 2010 of May and iam getting the a very huge noice from the engine if i crossed a speed of 60 and more than that.I have given a camplaint against it but he told this is now solved.But the problem is still the same.There is some noice comming from the right side where i could see there is a problem in the A/C belt.There are also some noices inside the body.

            I will appriciate if you can close the production and try to fix this issue ASAP.
            well i also hv some problems
            1-car deviates towards left side when steering wheels left free.
            2-rear break cylinders are not working properly.
            so i think very few customers r satisfied.

              Despite of my several reminders to Chevrolet dealer "Kun Automobiles (P) Ltd located at Kawadiguda Road, near Viceroy Hotel and also to Chevrolet directly, I haven't received any satisfactory response. Its been more than a month that I purchase the car and still haven't received the Corporate Discount and Additional Accessories as promised before purchasing the vehicle.

              You should not have accepted the car. Now you give your car back to the dealer and tell them, that you will pick the car when they settle the discounts. meanwhile file a complaint in the consumer court & send a copy of the compleint to the dealer.
              What is percentage or amount of corporate discount from Chevrolet India.

              about the price

                I had purchased new Chevrolet Spark PS in Jan 2008. Recently I noticed in morning my car AC was not cooling, then I had taken my car due to nearest GM dealer in Chandigarh for inspection. After inspecting the car on day one they were not able to detect the cause but they explained that it looks small leakage you need to come again but on day 2 they told me that my car's AC condensor has major crack due to any stone hitting accidently. I have to replace it with new one costing 6000/- apprx. But I am not convinced as till last night it was working perfectly fine and secondly the metal protection under condenser is not bent at all. Secondly if that is the case then it seems design issue as well.
                It seems complete case of not replacing part that is under warranty and harassing customer.
                Pls fwd my complaint to GM MD.

                  dear sir,
                  i have purchased Chevrolet Aveo 1.4 LS (LIMITED EDITION) from Triumph Motors, Alwar in the name of Mrs. Shweta dwivedi, Vehicle's Chassis no. M8HJ18828& Engine no. F14D37053131 this vehicle perform very good only for one month but from Second month Onwards vehicle RPM High At Ever Start & Reduces After 1 Minute, & Avergae reduces to 10 to 10.5 from 15 to 16 km/liters.
                  After that i complained to Alwar Dealer four to five times but i don't get any solution, after that i complaint to your tool free no. (Customer Care) from where alwar dealer brought our vehicle again 2 to 3 times at workshop but still my problem is same in the meantime my vehicle got another problem regarding noise in front wheel at the speed of 10 to 50 & rear tyre ( Inner Side) got damaged. in layman's language ( Tyre Khana from inside).
                  On 10 may 09 my vehicle has been checked by tech 2 ( a device) but problem remains same. after then they told me to take the vehicle to Jaipur workshop for checkup we went to jaipur on 1st june 09 but problem remains same. in between these process i have purchased three spark for my family & 2 fro my friends but now i am very much afraid that if my Aveo's problem is not rectified yet in 6 month then what will happened to rest of 5 spark's which i have purchased.
                  Sir i am businessman & my vehicle's average running 100 km / day approx. after calculating i am getting loss of 100 to 150/rs per day loss & mental tension is there. you please tell me what to do?
                  Today i decided to gave back my all the vehicles to the company.

                  Waiting for some favourable response from your company very early.

                    Sir,

                    I am Pankaj Heda and I own Spark car since Feb 2008. I must say, I am quite happy with this vehicle in the city driving condition and would recommend anybody in this segment. However, I am prompted to write this email after an unfortunate incident this weekend that made me bit concerned about the safety aspect of this car. Let me briefly explain the incident to you.

                    This weekend I was taking my vehicle out of the road side parking. I barely was a foot outside from the parking place with front wheels turned. Then a Hero Honda Bike barely at 30-35 kmph dashed on the front wheel on the drivers side…. With this impact, that biker did not fell down, Nothing happened to his bike and there is hardly any scratch on the body of my car (as the impact was on the wheel).

                    But, it did break some casting (part) that was connected to front wheel on the drivers side which seems crucial to control wheel direction from Steering (as now Wheel cannot be controlled with steering after this impact). What’s more worrying is, the part that was broken, looks to be a metal casting and was not exposed to the direct impact (as was behind the front wheel and there is no way anything can directly strike it). How can such an important part (that controls wheel motion) be so fragile…. Is this a design flaw that could seriously put the safety at risk.

                    Also attached are the estimates I have got from one of your dealers in Pune. And from looks of it, it is quite high for the type of incident I had. My vehicle is insured and I will try to claim whatever I can from them but thought that it is imperative that I bring to your notice which I think is a design problem which could put safety of this car at potential risk and then should I really be required to spend so much on these repairs.

                    It is a defective car with designing problems esp with the axle & suspension. I have filed a suit in the consumer court of Mumbai please give your input about any investigation done by you or defects noted by you so that i can submit to court & can make GM recall all Spark cars & treat the customers at par with US consumers in respecting our consumer rights
                    No such problems heard from customers.Then imagine how maruti cars are on the roads from 25 years
                    I feel almost all cheverle spark have similar design problem. If the company is not ready to attend the problem customer has to go the consumer court collectively.better inform the friends no to buy cheverle vehicle.

                      Dear Sir/Ma'am,
                      I must bring forth the plight of my aged father and mother living all by themselves who not only underwent an accident but are continuing to face the trauma of having to live in a city with poor public transport system without a car. The car itself has been awaiting repairs in a GM service sentre for nearly 1 and half month after the accident even when the formalities were completed in no time after the accident. My parents are being continuously harassed with the car still awaiting repairs under some pretext or the other. I am sure you would appreciate this is not simple for some one my father's age to commute between home and the workshop in this seething heat that too without a car.
                      Wish someone in this great country of ours would do something!

                        I would like to introduce myself as Mrs. Anitha, AN ARCHITECT-an unfortunate customer-of Chevrolet SRV.

                        I had bought a Chevrolet-SRV from KLN Motors on 28th Jan 2009.
                        The vehicle had a clutch problem-play was not proper.
                        The rear suspension is really bad-we feel giddy when we sit at the back seats even in normal speed.
                        The drive is similar to have a ride in a bullock cart-which was agreed by your service team.
                        The mileage promised to me was 9 to 10 kmpl.highway-12 kmpl-i get only 5.5 kmpl.-which is really UNACCEPTABLE.
                        THE VEHICLE NORMALLY HAS A PDI CHECK UP RIGHT? WAS THAT DONE FOR THIS CAR., I DON'T THINK SO!!!
                        Your service team took the vehicle for service-first free service-at 556 kms-i don’t understand why they changed oil then which is normally done at 1000 kms.
                        The vehicle was serviced 6 times up to 20th march, out of which we had taken the vehicle to ambattur for 4 times.They were not aware of the model SRV accessories had a very bad experience.I met several people who claimed themselves to service engineers but were not aware of the product.nothing happened, at last they said wheels need to be changed, and no one called back.
                        On 20th march 2009-when i was on my way to meet a client of mine, my car halted on the main road when traffic was on the peak.
                        i had to struggle on the main road. The service people reached AFTER TWO HOURS- i was a customer of hyundai-i have never had this experience with their service.The service people were not able to diagonise the problem and took my vehicle-till 21st there was no call from service team-.
                        The above matter was sent by mail to customer care on 21st march.
                        The car was brought to my place 24th march, we had a test drive-it was the same state.no improvement.only the air lock in the clutch was removed, the car moves that's it.
                        I was really unhappy with the whole issue and I sent back the car.
                        This was informed to the customer service at Delhi-To Mr.Gaurav.and I requested for a spare car till the person from GM attends to it.
                        The service manager who came on 4th april-Mr.Sadasivam said he is a dealer and could do nothing more-i need to go to General Motors.
                        They had cross checked with Good year Tyre Company-and they had accecpted that the rear wheels had problem and changed the same.
                        Mr.Ashok of GM, says the car is perfect according to him, iam not happy with the car-this is my statement-he is not ready to listen to my words, nor is he ready for a test drive with me.my comfort is my need why should i go by his words?
                        After some time we were offered a scheme wherein the front wheels would also be changed.

                        The customer care executive-Ms.Kanchan asked me to wait upto 5.15 -for either she or Mr.Ashok would call me -nothing happened-when i call her back by 5.30, i get the news, that she has left for the day.I have never experienced such a bad customer service.
                        I had spoken to Mr.Prasad Mane on 4th april, and narrated all the above happenings, he said he would attend to the issue .
                        The car was brought back on 9th april-with the same issue, Mr.Ashok –the technical person, said that the vehicle is a sports vehicle and the clutch and the rear suspension are a part of design and nothing could be done to it.
                        I don’t understand if there is no problem in the car and that’s the design aspect, then why did they change the wheels?
                        They offered a choice of taking a test drive of another SRV, which happened on 13th April and we felt the same in the new car also. We asked them whether we could check with any of the existing customers-whether the problem persists in their vehicle-they were not ready for it.
                        Then again I spoke to Mr.Prasad Mane, he always on the side against to a consumer.
                        He was not ready to listen to my words; he hurt me a lot saying, am speaking very emotional for a small issue. He said that the value of the car was huge to be replaced, his argument was baseless saying I have used the car for 4 months and now I want a replacement(The car was bought on 28th Jan 2009-i.e-less than 75 days old car)out of which more than 25 days the car was in the workshop.
                        I asked for a written document saying that the car is fine and safe for travel, for which his answer was, the car is a machine and it can fail anytime, and it was under warranty for 1 lakh kms or 3 years whichever is the earliest.
                        When I said I was not feeling safe in the car for every operation of the clutch there is a jerk and I could feel the smallest particle on the road, he says it’s a feeling and the car is fine (without offering a basic comfort of safety).
                        He was really harsh for words saying iam trying to lock him, as if in court and iam speaking emotional.He was not open for any kind of acceptance of the mistake of the vehicle and the feeling of the customer. He says he would put me on to the resales vendor if iam interested to sell the car and buy a new car.
                        Apart from service-there is are issues on sales also.I was promised for 2009 model on my registration but that is only 2008.They say it can’t be changed for the registration copy is a master card.The name on the card is marked as P.Anitha, instead of R.Anitha.
                        On all angles I have been let down by KLN Motors and General Motors.
                        Iam not ready to use a car which has manufacturing defects-kindly let me know how to proceed, I would like to have my money back.
                        KINDLY ATTEND THE ISSUE AT EMERGENCY, FOR ALREADY MY PATIENCE HAS BEEN TESTED ENOUGH, ORELSE I WOULD BE FORCED TO TAKE NECCESSARY LEGAL ACTIONS.
                        From KLN, Mr.Rajasekhar had taken my RC –Card for the name correction on April 9th, till date (10 th May) there is no call or feedback.
                        I had requested for the service slip of the problem which happened on the road due to which the vehicle seized, I have not got till date.
                        My Vehicle is BLACK CHEVROLET-OPTRA SRV-TNO7-BC-2238.

                          I bought Chevrolet Aveo in June, 2006. Since last 1 year my car has rust & corossion problem. I complaint often & often to the company for this problem. But they are not giving proper solution. They said me for chage the doors & remaing part of the body, they repaint patches through local dealer. Just imagine how my car will look after doing this????????????

                          If i bought 7 lac's car & after doing as company said, what should be the value of my car? Who will give me good value in resale market? It is fully loss to me due to company's bad quality material. If Like General Motors, a worldwide well know company is giving me this kind of solution, then what about their responsibility after sales services?what about quality of their raw material? since last 6-7 month i just communicate with the company & i don't get any result. So what to do now?

                            I gave my Optra to Sundaram Motors in the 2nd week of March, as it had starting problem, I was charged Rs.1000/= and they said the problem was resolved. However, the following day I encountered the same problem, the car just wouldn't start, after talking to the top most person in the Company who promised to look into it personally, I gave my car for the second time to Sundaram Motors, Bangalore.

                            This time they kept it for 2 days, and returned the car saying that there was some problem with the injector and that they have replaced the same and that I would not face this problem again. The good news was that for exactly 5 days the car was trouble free, again on the 6th day I was stuck with the same issue, this time they asked me to drop my car to their premises and that they would look into it and resolve it once for all. To my shock, I received a call that evening from Sundaram Motors, saying that it was a major problem and it would roughly cost me about 20K, when I enquired about the problem, they said that the cylinder head was leaking and it had to be done, which would cost me that amount. It has been 6 days since I have given my car, and have not got it back, they say that the some spares are not available and they had to get it from the main GM spares office somewhere in India. They just wouldn't confirm the date of returning my car.

                            I would like to lodge a complaint with GM, as to why was this problem not resolved the first time when I gave my car?? Are the technicians in Sundaram not received proper training? Why so much delay in the spare part, its been 6 days since I have given my car and I am not sure when I will get it, the trauma I am going through cannot be explained in words!

                            from Aryaman Automobile Karnal as far as service is concerned they are giving us poor

                            services. One car is chevrolet optra magnum HR -06 R-0459 we have sent the car around five times regarding A C complaints

                            to Aryaman automobile but we have no result so far.Every time they have an excuse about any kind of part to be changed and with no other option we agree to replace the part but even after replacing the part the AC is still not working.                             Chevrolet Optra magnum — poor service

                            i have purchased the cheverolet optra magnum in July 2009 since then it is wobbling for whitch it was sen monthly to authorised centre nikhil auto navi mumbai but problem is still there. Now at12000km tyres have ftattened but service centre is not ready to take responsibility. Plese help me out what should I do at this stage?

                            Chevrolet Optra — Poor service and harrasment

                            Recently sent my car for servicing to SC auto, Thane Maharashtra , who are authorized dealer and service centre of GM in India as per their website http://www.chevrolet.co.in/content_data/AP/IN/en/GBPIN/001/dealer-locator.html

                            They took my car on Monday and promised to deliver next day, They were suppose to call me after "inspecting" the car in their service center, but I did not get their call until next day, now they they informed me they would deliver it after 2 days only. Without giving any genuine reason, I have been calling them in every 15mins , they transfer my call to somewhere and then disconnect the call.

                            I am now worried about my car, They are not even talking to me , and rudely asking me to "do whatever you wish"

                            Can someone suggest whom should I contact in this regard ?

                              Dear Sir,

                              My name is Praveen, resident of H.No. 8-1-284, Plot no. 87, O U Colony, Shaikpet, Hyderabad, 500008.

                              I bought a Chevrolet Spark car last year (Mar-2007). One of its shock observer is broken, I've given the car for replacement of shock observer at Kun Automobiles, RTC cross roads, Hyderabad (Authorised delear/service for cherolet). when I was giving the car it had full tank of petrol and the service engineer also noted that down in the job card, but when my father went back at the time of delivery the tank was only half. My father had asked them about the petrol and apparently they gave a reckless answer.

                              I tried to speak to the Manager but he was not at all helpful, when we filled the car again, it could accomidate 18.5 liters, which means they have taken out atleast 18 liters from the tank.

                              I have the petrol receipts as a proof.

                              Please help the customers like us from this kind of cheaters.

                                The Following is true to my heart,
                                For your sake do not but cars from ARAS motors madurai. If you want Chevrolet who has excellent magnum model cars, buy else where.
                                ARAS - They never service cars and take care of them of how its to be done.
                                My cars audio system worth more than a lakh was wasted by them. The service guys watched movies in my system (in spite of clear instruction given not to turn it on) blasted the speakers for hours and wasted a amplifier worth Rs 8000.
                                Also i was charged for 10 litres of petrol for testing vehicle which was left with half tank full. Calculating which they drove more than 350 Kms minimum. Have you heard of this anywhere???????
                                And i dont want to start on parts scam by them..

                                I am confident there is no truth in this complaint.The complainant was given the oppurtunity to provide proof no sign of it till date.False complaints with ulterior motives can lead to legal implications.

                                  HI,
                                  I bought Chevrolet Aveo in May 2006. I had noticed some marks on the car surface which i complained about during delivery. They buffed & polished the marks away. In 6 months I noticed patches of same marks. I complained and they buffed them away again saying that its nothing to worry. After 6 months, the marks came up again looking like it was rusting and after few months more there was rust. I took the matter up with GM and they said they would repaint the car for me. I had no option but to let them do that. They painted the car and messed the whole paint up. The paint was full of scratches which probably resulted from scrubbing the earlier paint. I did not take delivery, so they repainted it again. This time only the scratches were gone.. But the they had paint all over the exterior rubber fittings, glass, etc which have still not gone. The door exterior metal was uneven . The head lights miss aligned, and many more things.. They took almost a month to give me my car back. It was full of dirt inside. I had to personally stand there and get everything cleaned. It looked like a car which had a major accident and it had been repaired. The car has developed the same marks again. I complainted but they just started to take me for granted.

                                  I complained to GM about this and they did not respond well. I logged a complain at core.nic.in. And they sent a mail to them. GM got back to be and said they will change the entire body of the car for me including the doors, bonnet, dicky and the rubber fittings free of cost. They took my approval from me and just disappeared. When i called up the person in charge Mr. Manish Kochhar, he said that someone else has replaced him and i should get in touch with Mr. Ravi Hande. Now this Mr.Ravi hande does not respond to my calls nor my mails. I cc all my mails to 5 - 6 gm addresses where i get a comfirmation of reciept of mail. But i do not get any reply.

                                  Over and above I would also bring to notice that GM quality is very surprising. The body metal is very thin and can be dented just by pressing it by a thumb. The wipers get stuck on the glass if there is not water. Inshort They are weaker than a rickshaw wipers. My car has run 8000km in city in 2.5 years and the shocks feel like im sitting in an old taxi. Fuel efficiency between 7-8kmpl in city without A/C. All they can do when you complain is slow down the engine. Dint make a difference. Car becomes very heavy when you turn on A/C and worst when you have more than 2 passengers in it. Service Center are pathetic.

                                  I need to take serious action. I've been through too much frustration & mental torture apart from the the value for money that i have lost due to repainting.

                                  Chevrolet Aveo — Defective unit AVEO Car

                                  I purchased a Chevrolet AVEO car, chassis No MA6TF694M7HK14113, Engine No F14D3581921K from Dulichand Motors an outlet of General Motors in Kolkata in the month of November’2007. After 5000+ KM run of the car I took the car for its due servicing. The mechanics after checking told that there is crack in the Mobil chamber due to which there is leakage of Mobil and due free servicing will not be done till the Mobil chamber unit is replaced with due payment around Rs 5000. But at present there is no stock with us and will inform you when Mobil chamber unit will arrive at stock.Now its more than one month past no call from General motors.

                                  I want to mention here that I have run the car within the City of Kolkata. It is suspected that there is some manufacturing defect in the parts of the car due to which the Mobil chamber is damaged.
                                  I dont understand what steps should I take. Pl guide what can be done in this condition.

                                    Dear Sir/ Madam, This is to let u know that we had planned to buy a car( Chevrolet Spark) on finance frm Ashthavinayak Pvt. ltd in Malad West, Mumbai. we had just given them a token amt. of Rs.10, 000/- just as a token amt. to avail the special offer they had in July2008 n had just filled an order booking form with them. later within 2 to 3 days we informed them that we will not buy the car now as there were some family problems which were of more priority. The invoicing of the car wasn't done, no down payment was given, no finance was arranged for by any bank with them, no registeration of the car was done and also complete documents were submitted to them. At time of filling up the order booking form their salesperson Ms. Shweta Mahajan had promised us that unless entire documents hav been submitted the process will not go further for booking the car n that no cancellation fee will b chgd if entire documents hav not been submitted. Now that we've decided not to buy the car they for no reason are charging us a cancellation fee of Rs.2, 500/- n returning us only Rs.7, 500/- without any procedure for booking the car was complete. They are not ready to refund us the Rs.10, 000/- we had given n also are not ready to tell us why the cancellation fee was chgd. they just say that it is their company policy. when spoke to their Managing Director Mr. Punit, he was very arrogant n rude to us n did not help n says that cancellation fee will b charged. pls look into the matter as soon as possible as we are poor people n living on rent right now and we need immediate funds to get our owned house repaired n now we hav been a victim of this fraud done by Ashthavinayak Pvt. ltd. in Malad(west), Chincholi bunder road, Mumbai. pls let me know what can b done n how we can take legal action against them.                                       THIS IS TO BRING TO YOUR KIND ATTENTION THAT I HAD GIVEN MY CHEVROLET SPARK AT VARDAJYOTI AUTOMOBILES, MEERUT FOR REPAIRS.FIRST OF ALL THEY PROMISED ME TO GET THE WORK DONE IN 2 DAYS BUT I GOT THE CAR BACK IN 10 DAYS. UNFOTUNATELY I GAVE IT FOR REPAIRS AT VARDAJYOTI AUTOMOBILES AT MEERUT BUT TO MY UTTER SHOCK AND SURPRISE WHEN I GOT MY CAR BACK THE SHOWROOM PEOPLE HAD CHANGED THE SILENCER AND PUT UP A BROKEN AND BADLY RUSTED SILENCER IN MY CAR.
                                      THIS IS HIGHLY DISGUSTING AND SHAME ON THE PART OF GENERAL MOTORS WHO CLAIM THAT THEY ARE THE BEST.
                                      MOREOVER AT THE SHOWROOM NOBODY GAVE ME PROPER REPLY FOR THE SAME.
