[Resolved]  BMC Ration Card Debt — Harasment to Senior Citizen

Respected Sir / Madam,
I am making this complaint as my mother aged 70yrs. is being harassed by the ration Card dept. Dadar,
She stays with my sister in Ahmedabad for some months, with me in Borivali for some months and with my brother at Andheri for some months in a year.
At times she prefers staying at her own house in Mahim.
After my dad's death - she cancelled his name from the Ration card some three years back. She was carry the ration card in which this cancellation was done. Now, in the last month Dec2009 when she came from gujarat, she went to collect the form at the Ration shop where she was told her card is been cancelled. Now tell me how can you just cancell the card. When she again went to the shop, she was be told to pay some money so that the card can be renewed.
Please try to find out why this harassment is done to the senior citizens of India.

we are three family member, Me Age 28, my wife 26, and daughter 9Months,
i am servicing in a company,
we have bought new flat at Bhayandar East,
and given application for name transfer from old ration to new ration card, whereas old Ration card also from Bhayandar.

in the June 2012 we have made the application for transferring the names of mine and my wife, and additional new name of my newly borne daughter.
Till the day from application, the officers calls us every week (for no reason) to give new date to come, regularly my wife is going stands in Que with lifting my daughter who is aged 9months for 1 hours, as she reached to the counter, she gets reply come on next week, we are busy due to election, due to staff scarcity etc etc etc.

Last to Last to week again she visited the counter and finally got the reply that you come on Thursday 27/09/2012, by 10AM clock we will issue your ration card, she reached there today by 9.30AM, and stood third person in Que.
BMC Rationing card Officer cam by 11.30, till that she has to wait in Que with lifting our small daughter.

Finally her turn cam, and
Mr. Sankhe, who said Himself Senior officer incharge of the Ration Card office, at the time of signing of Ration card ( he said this we dont know) we did not ever seen ration card.
he said there is a mistake in filling of the application form,
Mistake is that in my old ration card which is on my elder brother name, at front of her name it was wrongly written PATNI in there record but not on our old ration card, they have done the mistake in their record. and said it need to correct and we required a application letter from you to correction, We said there is perfectly and correctly written on ration card, it is mistake done by you. why should we write the letter to you, where it is not out mistake, your staff have done it, i can write the same on application if you want.
he neglected and started shouting on us.

is this the way to Work of the Government Officer?
