[Resolved] Camels Needs Attention In India - Sukanya Kadyan — Legal camel transportation be introduced and abuse be banned - Abhishek Kadyan

National Research Centre on Camel, Bikaner, is a Premier Research Centre of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) which is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Dr. N.V. Patil, Director observations to transport camels from one place to another reproduced below:
1. Sufficient floor space for the transport.
2.Proper restrain-may be sternal recumbancy.
3.Sufficient bedding material--loose sand,paddy straw or soft materail
4. Proper feeding and watering of animal
5. Proper rest in between the transit period
6. Proper care and rest after journey
7. On attendant per camel, vet or para-vet to accompany to transit
with proper treatment aid
OIPA in India observations:
Camels are being abused during transportation by the transport vehicles in leg tied sitting position by the BSF / circus owners. This points needs attention to minimize stress, pain, sufferings and injury. AWD / AWBI have to look in to ban the camel performance.
Founder chairman of the PFA Haryana Naresh Kadyan, Representative of OIPA in India demanding the ban on camel, elephants, docked tail dogs and feather chopped birds performance and these be included like bulls.
