[Resolved]  Oxford University — fraud job letter and asking pound 970

Respected Sir
This is to inform you that I am receiving mails from somebody on the oxford university letter heads claiming that I have received job of research associate by the oxford university under Elliot .F. Gerson
They asked me to get an affidavit by British high court through Barrister Mike hanks
He said his man in British high commission in India will contact me further
This man called James Bill called me from +91-[protected]
And told me to deposit 970 GBP in and ICICI bank –name-kgn enterprise, A/C[protected]

Please tell me how to get rid of it and make sure nobody else fall in their trap
Along with the mail are the emails and attachment I received from them do have a look

In responds to your email, in the 15 series you are to indicate the address of the institution on that place as your place of stay, note the institution has accommodation provision for all our international staffs so on that note you do not have any problem.

Feel free to come along with your father for the institution has an accommodation that will accommodate you and your father.

As regards to the fee for the affidavit of guarantee the institution accounting department will reimburse you back the expense you incur on getting the affidavit, in other words we received a telephone call from the senior attorney Barrister Mike informing us that you people could not pay directly to his representative in the UK embassy in India.

Note that the embassy do not disclose such issue for security reasons and we will advice you not to listen to anyone as regards to this your job offer and the attorney is working with Mr. James Bell to enable his client do local transfer of money instead of going through the stress of doing international transfer so feel free to work along with the instruction of Mr. James Bell. We are looking forward to receiving the affidavit of guarantee as soon as possible from the high court, remember delay is dangerous.

I also received same mail from same person so It would be better if the governing body of Oxford University can take action against them.
Dear All, I have also recieved the same letter and two of my friends also. Even i was thinking to put my efforts on the same. Is it really frod. How would we come to know that it is frod. I really need your guidance.
I have also recd the same letter from the same person. Now its confirmed that its a fraud as so many people hv recd the same letter without even changing a word. Oxford University must take some action on it to stop this fraud call letters which might hamper the reputation of such a reputed university.

Can anyone take action against such tricksters? I too have received a job offer for Staff Nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital from Dr Steven Owen, and instructed to secure Affidavit of Gurantee from Barrister Scot Parker. The amount is to be credited to the account of Shabbir Karim Shah in ICICI Bank nariman Point Branch - A/c No.[protected]. Pan No. BTHPS 9455E.
Can anyone advise whether I should proceed further with this offer or is this truly a fraud. Please this is uregent. The job offer is really lucrative and if it is a true one, I would not like to miss the offer.
I got a fraud offer letter saying the same thing. They have used the name of South Holland Hospital, Pinchbeck, UK this time. It was a very attractive job offer tempting me to join. They have written only mobile number, not the land line number. Hospital set up must have land line number. They were communicating with me only via e-mail. Doubt created in my mind when they selected me without any sort of telephonic interview. When I called on the mobile which they have provided, the person on phone (claimed to be Dr. Ben Watton) talked in such a way that one can't understand anything. They have also used the name of Gulliver's Travel Agency for procuring my visa and work permit. They have given their representative's name as James Bell from New Delhi (phone no. [protected]) to get the money for visa and work permit.

Now its high time to take action against such . I don't know from which country they are operating this.
yesterday i had also got the offer from sheraton hotels and resorts for the post of marketing manager we really have to do something in that regards
