[Resolved]  S.e Muthu Agencies, Indane LPG Distributor, Velachery, Chennai — Transfer of Gas Connection to Chennai

Hi,
I am Muthuselvan, currently residing at Velachery, Chennai. I have a LPG connection for my household usage with Indane. I recently shifted from Hyderabad and had a transfer of the Gas connection to Chennai. There is a distributor named S.E Muthu Agencies, Velachery, Chennai. When I contacted for the transfer and asked to accept my booking they simply rejected by saying that I dont have a ration card. I said I dont have one and will apply for it. But they didnt accept it at all and asked me to get the ration card first and then only contact them. I dont understand it because I am having the connection without a ration card for the past 5 years and till last month I am booking without any hassles at Hyderabad. How can the rules be different within the same country ? Also the biggest comedy is I am permanent resident at Velachery and I have a house also. And I was a customer just 13 months back with the same LPG Indane Distributor S.E Muthu Agencies and I was using their services for about 2 years. When I told them about this, they said we dont care about that. Rules are only for the benefit of the common man but the burecracy involved makes this only complex. Now we are suffering and my wife is cooking only with the Kerosene stove only. I dont how much burecratic delay will happen for getting a ration card and how many more days / months we have to live without a LPG connection.
Jai Hind !!

COOKING GAS CYLINDERS RESIDENTIAL — NO CYLINDERS PROVIDED INSPITE OF HAVEING A VALID CONSUMER CARD

Respected Sir/Madam,

I refer to the letter that I sent earlier last year 28th in the month of August, 2007 for which I had received an auto generated response. The same has been scanned and attached for your information.

Also, please find attached the scanned copies of Domestic Gas Customer Card of Ms.Angela Rupert, with customer #21862 and Ms.Sophia Rupert, with customer #40533. Our gas distributing agency is Shivshankar Agencies, located in 18 – 19, Kundrathur Road, Porur, Chennai – 600 116. Our respective subscription voucher for obtaining this connection in the year 2000, September has also been attached.

My purpose behind writing to you is to actually know the reason for the denial of gas cylinders to us. The reason in the distributing agency is that we are not married and hence we cannot obtain the same. I need a definite reason to this as the consumption as a joint family is excess and the purpose behind obtaining and not availing the facility is something which makes us think. Can someone please help us sort out this issue. We definitely need consumer cylinders.

This is my second letter to the Grievances cell, I request the concerned authority to please give us a valid reason or make necessary arrangements for us to procure the consumer cylinders for our personal use.

Dear Sirs, I await a response from your end. Not knowing what to do further and for the way the distributors treat us, we have come seeking justice from you.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

Sophia Rupert. Angela Rupert

LPG gas transfer — 22 days to proceed for a transfer

This has reference to the above-mentioned subject. I shifted from Mumbai-Secunderabad. My consumer no. is 641742. We went to the distributor in HUDA complex (agency Code-515860) to get the transfer done, we were told that it will take 1 month from there & if we go to the branch in Nacharam it will be done faster. With the hope that it will be processed soon, we went to the agency in Nacharam (agency code 515240). We were asked to give the photocopy of the documents & asked to contact after 4 days. Upon doing so we were given a date which is 18 days later.

Its so sad that after so much of advancement, why do people have to wait to so long to get a connection transferred. Where emails & faxes takes minutes minutes to reach. When are we going start working like a professionals leaving our laid back attitude at bay. This is exactly the reason why individuals resort to illegal ways to get things done.

Its a sincere request, please improvise your systems & do train you agency employees, as they really need to learn some good manners on how to talk to cusotmers.

Would appreciate if the transfer process can be expedited.

Dear Muthu Selvan

I have read u r complaint what u r asking is right, u can contact LPG Company, for every agency one reginal manager is there you just send a mail to them or go to their office and contact him you will get connection defenetely.

Sreenivas
Government of Tamil Nadu have recently informed that for LPG connection Family Card is not necessary. Hence the LPG dealer can consider Thiru Muthuselvan"s request by getting other address proofs such as certificate from employer, Postal Identity card, Voters Identity card, Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill etc.
please wanted the gas
I am Vinod Kumar residing at velachery, chennai 42. I bought a Indane gas connection from S.E Muthu Agencies, Velachery, Chennai on 26/03/2010. Without the knowledge of three burner Gas stove, I bought it. My wife expecting a different model. We again went to the Gas Agency to get a required model. But they are not having such model. So we want to return back the stove. But they are refusing to get back the stove instead they are asking to get some other model instead of it.
I want to know whether there is no option to return a stove which is not opened without replacement.
Hi Vinod,

Understood your situation. But unfortunately no dealer will refund cash once the goods are sold. Totally your mistake. Infact you have to be very happy about them as they are ready to replace with different model. No trader will do this.
Dear Vinod,

If you find any shop who refunds the amount after purchase please let me know.

Regards,
Satish.
Sir,
I am Sudharshan, Working Professional in chennai, Recently i got married and i am Staying in Velachery., I ve applied for a new LPG Connection thru' S.E.MUTHU Gas Agencies, Velachery., And till now the response is nil and it is already 4 months gone from the date applied.
Whenever i call, the answer is that voucher has not come for new connection.,
Fed up with this, am using a private gas by giving 700rs. per cylinder, ( wt.14kgs weight is lesser than Indane), also the delivery time is not flexible for all even the GO has come.
Its high time to fire these people for not supporting the customers and for being lethargic., Its we suffer and worried, so i request that IOCL Officials should filter such distributors and to have an eye on their services.,
Jai hIND
Hi --
I am Ajith, currently residing in Velachery. I had taken a gas connection with the following distributor

S E Muthu Agencies
Indane distributors
No : 6, 4th Main Road,
Vijaya Nagar, Velachery, Chennai 42
Phone :[protected]

I find very hard time adjusting with the Booking date and delivery date with this distributor. I have read some complaints with other Indane and Bharath gas distributors. The concern is that after we book the Cylinder it takes literally 10 - 15 days for the Delivery and this happens everytime when I book a cylinder.
each time when I call the agency over phone the IRRESPOSIBLE LADY in the Agency would answer - "Within 3 days you may get it" - When We call on the Tendative date - She will reply back " Delivery will happen after 2 days ". Really Sorry to say that the response is so poor. Finally I had to raise my voice over the Phone and infomed them that i am gonna compalin reg this - To console me they informed me that the Gas cylinder would be delivered today for sure and if not they asked me to complain wherever I like. Now tell me is that an answer which a Customer is expecting ???

I have not seen such an Irresponsible. they donot follow the basic Telephone Ettiquetes also.

I had raised a request for a Second Cylinder as well and It has been almost 4 month now and Everytime I ask about this Second gas Connection They are telling me that the CYLINDER WILL NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL FURTHER NOTIFICATION . They Dont even Tell the Reason why this is happening

To whomever Concerned - Please take this as a serious issue - Filter those agencies who are IRRESPONSIVE - I am sure that Many Consumers face the same Difficuly as I have experienced

Kindly assist
Dear Sudharshan,

I’m Srinivasan residing at velachery for the past 15 years and holding gas connection with muthu agencies. The service which I get from them is amazing and excellent. They operate with excellent customer service.

I wonder whether you are educated or not. Don’t say that you are professional. Do you know the internal working system of a gas distributorship? Vouchers, Cylinders, Regulator, etc are issued by the Indian Oil Corporation. If they cannot provide sufficient stock to the distributors, how the distributor can serve their customers. So, you want to penalties the distributor, for which they are not responsible. Please think before you speak. At least please wake now and try to understand what's happing around the world. My kind advice is please not use JAI HIND, as you are speaking like foreigner. Customer like you is not eligible to use precious Indian word JAI HIND. I humbly request IOCL Officials to keep eye on such irresponsible customers and filter them for propagation against distributors and IOCL officials.

Dear Ajith,

Regarding your first question, I don’t have any comments as your question is incomplete. Booking date, delivery date and consumption pattern is missing. For your information, there should be minimum gap of 21 days between two refills plus pending days. If you need per week per refill, none of the oil company can serve you. :-) Whether you know or not, already the cylinder is given at subsidized rate. Now you ask the government to give you daily one refill cylinder. So that our Indian economy will shine like anything by having citizens like you :-)
Coming to the next question, second cylinder release in the hands of IOCL. It’s nothing to do with Distributor. None of the distributor will know when it will be released. The decision is taken only by the IOC officials. I hope only brain-less people like you only face problem like this as you could not understand the situation. I hope people who have brain will be really happy with that distributor as I do.

As a happiest customer I think I have the responsibility to support my area distributor at this point of time.

Regards,
P.K.S.Srinivasan Iyer.
Dear Mr. PKS Srinivasan Iyer,

Why are you being so scary to this forum? What is your problem in usage of JAI HIND? Why are you so very disturbed about genuine problems faced by customers of IOCL. Communication has to be sent to IOCL to check the intricacies of such binding customers with the said distributors and their personal interests to the extend of defending the distributor against suffering customers facing deficiency of service.

Also, we should be able to trace you to get your contacts to seek help & guidance to resolve the burdens of the genuinely suffering customers since you claim to be having a good rapport with the said distributor and their happiest customer. FYI am also a affected customer knowing all rules of a IOCL distributor's statutory compliances.

Also as a true citizen please let us know how you have been exclusively catered knowledge to the extent of throwing immense light on the internal working of the distributor & his stock transactions.

Looking forward to your contact to enable us to reach out for help to your fellow indian citizens.

Jai Hind,
Rgds,
Hari
Dear Mr. Hari,

I want to answer you point by point:

1. First of all i want to say that i am not scary on this forum. JAI HIND should be used by only true indians who are not selfish.
2. You can always take your concerns to the IOCL if you are not satisfied by the distibutor provided you should have valid proofs and reasons. As a citizen of india we cannot waste the time of a public service organisation like IOCL for blind complaints. Moreover we are not the only customer for IOCL. They are serving throughout india.
3. I want to introduce myself as a normal press reporter working for leading news media in India. Therefore i got chance to go through the internal workings of distributorship and IOCL. I have took this research out of public awareness.
4. Therefore i cant disclose my contact number in this forum as i have my limits as a press reporter. As a individual if you are really interested to have my help/guidance regarding this, you can give your contact number provided if you are not scary in this forum. I am very happy to reach you as you are so confused in this.

Regards,
P.K.S.Srinivasan Iyer
Hi,

I applied for Indane gas connection in S.E Muthu Agencies, Velachery on 10th july. its 4 month over since i applied for new connection. so i brought one cylinder from my home in Coimbatore 2 months back. Its going to empty in 2 weeks. Please suggest me is there any way to refill that cylinder here in chennai. if so, how much do they charge to refill the gas (14.2 kg) ? which is the nearest refilling area to velachery?

Thanks & Regards
Velu
Hold a LPG connection in my mother's name. I got transferred from Hyderebad recently and i am trying hard to reach SE Muthu agency. After many hundred calls (they don't pick or its always busy--not sure whether they keep phone out of the instrument) i had no option to visit that agency. So far for the past many years i have been using this connection. For the past two transfers i gave authorization letter as mother was aged and i do not want her to disturb too much. This time she is very sick and i am not in a postion to take her.

But you know what was the response from an irresponsible female voice from SE muthu agency? whatever it is bring the connection owner. I explained the situation and told i used to give authorization letter and requested to accept the same. Inspite of that she told "you have to bring your mother, bring her in AUTO, few minutes she can sign and go...

How come only in this agency these kind of stupid rules are there? Just 3 weeks back i surrendered and transferred my gas connection without any hassels (by giving authorization letter) in Hyderabad. It took me hardly few minutes to complete the process.

Here in SE muthu, Chennai they are also demanding for Rs-500 ( i guess this is bribe) and they are telling its for BOND paper. I don't know why BOND paper is required, a foolish way to get bribe... bribe is begging but these guys are demanding as if i did some great mistake. I realised that taking Indane gas connection as my big mistake and hence went for neighbour hood relation (getting cylinder from neighbhours) and running my life for the past 4 months.

SE MUTHU AGENCY, Velachery should be BANNED, thier dealership must be cancelled. This is my humble request to IOCL management.
I have applied for Indane gas new connection 3 months back .They are saying still 3 months needed to get it seems it needs approval. Please let me know what is the procedure to get gas connection at the earliest we are suffering a lot and also gas Cyclinder not available in Black market also. Please suggest.
