[Resolved]  WorldSpace — Very poor customer service

We got the WorldSpace Sattelite radio installed in our house about 7-8 months back and in the 3rd month it stopped working due to some problem in the receiver they gave me.

After repeated complains, their engineer came home and took it away saying that they will need to repair it. After 3 weeks, and me calling them about 7-8 times, they returned the receiver, but the service was not working since the receiver id was changed during the repair.

They took more than 1 month to resume my service. When I asked that they extend my subscription for the time that I was not serviced, they said yes. This was way back in August. Till date I have called them more than 20 times, to the Pune and Bangalore office and the service is not working.

This is by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Even today, the Pune office said to call Bangalore, and that office asked me to call the Pune office. The numbers they provide are generally wrong and I have to make customer service calls to get the right number.

Bottom line, I do not have service for something I paid for and that is annoying.

My advice to all would be, to be careful while subscribing to such services.

Good that you told me...i was on the verge of buying it...dont think i will do it now..

Actually i think i know the reason for this as well.....a large part of erstwhile BPL mobile's management moved to World Space...

WorldSpace — poor customer service

i have paid 2 years subscription for worldspace broadcast and my complaint relating to failure of broadcast is not attended properly.

the broadcast is not available to be from 18th october. inefficient analysis and back up.
These company take advantage of the patience of the customers. Before collecting the money they call you n number of times but once the money is collected then they don't bother about giving the product which they promise.
sophisticated way of fraud.

WorldSpace — non receipt of promised free tickets

In August Worldspace offered 2 free tickets to anywhere in India for subscribers renewing their subscription for two years. Lured by this I subscribed to two years. Todate (December 24, 2007) I haven't receieved the tickets! On contacting them I receive replies like
" We have dispatched the voucher on 4th September"
" It's too late now. The travel agents will not honour the vouchers"

I have demanded refund of the monies paid and havent' heard from them about it.
My receiver was picked up on Sept 5, 2008, for carrying out repairs on the faulty antenna connection. I have been a subscriber for more than 5 years, this is the first time I have come across such negligent and indifferent customer service. Although their records state that my receiver has been repaired and is sitting in the Mumbai office, they are yet to deliver it. Each time I call the customer care number [protected], they "assure" me that the set will be delivered within 2 days. They refuse to tell us what we can do if the set is not delivered. They "apologise for the inconvenience" and the next time they call up they tell me that they "do not why my previous complaint has not been acted upon yet".
Also, the toll-free number IS NOT TOLL FREE. I have been charged each time I have called it.
They promised me a one-month extension and from previous complaints on this site I am afraid that this is just another empty promise.
Have already told 3 people I know about this and will continue to warn off people from Worldspace.

WorldSpace — file no - Z 073017

This is Rajvinder Kaur . I have applied for passport on 07-07-08 and file no is Z 073017. I could not receiev my passport till. pls let me the status of my passport as i need it urgently.

My receiver is taken away for repair assuring me that they return it within a week, this happened on 26th July 2009 and i made repeated calls to customer care. every time they assure me a callback which never happens.

I do not have any idea what they are doing with my receiver... beware of this service...
hey guys i entirely agree with ur allegations on worldspace. infact, i before buying worldspace itself hv been gone thru. for last entire week i m trying to get in touch with worldspace customer service thru net as well as tele. but, not a single mail i hv been received fm dem till date. neither i cud get dem thru the telephone . later i contacted myself to der b'glore offce & guess wat dey told me tat call after 2 hours as d person is not on seat & will available later...wat cud b ur reaction on dat!!!i m really pissed off wid d attitude dey hv developed for customers. if, b4 buying itself dey r not bothered abt customers wat can b d approach aftr buying! gud u hv opened dis forum...thanks to all! WorldSpace — Renewal notification was not sent

worldspace has a system upgrade every three months whereby you have to change your passwords, they usually notify via email about this change, for some reason they did not send the notification in may of this year, and i was left with the impression that my subscription was over, however in september a representative calls me for a renewal package which to my suprise was expiring in Nov of this year, so i spoke to call center for a extn in my subcription as i was without serivce due to their negligence, sice september i have been assured call back from the company supervisor's, however none have been fruitfull so far.

WorldSpace — Fault receive and bad customer service

I have bought Worldspace subscription. My receiver stopped working in September. After informing the customer care, they checked the receiver, found that the power adapter was problematic. I had to pay for the new power adapter, then they also found that something was wrong with one IC on the motherboard, I had to pay for that repair, again the box was taken for repair and new IC was added. Within 4-5 days of that again the receiver stopped working, they took away the equipment and informed me that the PCB needs to be replaced and I need to pay almost 1000 rs additional for the new PCB, which has only 3 months guarantee.
This whole saga has been going on for last 2 months, they do not provide any proper information regarding when the repaired item will be taken or sent back.. The technician don't inform if they are coming.
I have made so many phone calls and wasted time behind these things that I have just cancelled my Worldspace subscription and left the receiver with the agency.. This is pathetic service from a company which makes such high claims for consumer satisfaction.
