Myself is Pulikkan Joseph Pavu - VC No.[protected] - my annual subscription for this VC completed on 3rd April 2014. I have submitted my new package resolution before renewing my subscription. On 5th April I have recharged by Rs. 250/- for getting the package changed as per below: CHOTTA PACKAGE with following addition: CODE NO. 2413 / CODE NO. 600 / CODE NO.924 / CODE NO. 116 BUT our package was not changed. Till continuing with old package. Please change my package with the said CHOTTA PACKAGE and additions. I want to recharge my subscription for one year, once my package is changed. Please do it immediately.

DishTV DTH — no right to block free to air channels

dishtv has stopped the transmission of Free To Air & DD channels. They have no rights to stop them. as a consumer i have decided to approch them leagally.
yes, I believe that dish tv can not stop free to air channels

DishTV DTH — Less HD Channels than the adv

I have bought Dish TV Tru HD connection and paid 125 starter pack and 100 for HD pack everymonth, as per the advertisement Dishtv claim they are HD channels of 35, but in reality they are telecasting on 4 HD channels and remaning are upscaled not HD, fooling others.....i would recommend to take action on this particular misleading operators.

    i have bought hd+ in feb this year n have subscribed for HD Royale pack which is valid till 10.oct.2014 n on 1.april suddenly without any prior consent colours Hd channel was discontinued n i could only see to subscribe for this channel sent sms stating request la carte with channel code n so on...m really irked by the service n ethics shown by u...n today i requested for the colour hd n it got activated few hours but validity of the package is reduce from 10.oct to 23.sept which is 17days less n when u convert these days into Rupees its Rs 340 and whereas colour hd subscription charge for one month is Rs65 so can anyone explain for what i have been charge for.. v/c no.       I recharged my HD DISH TV account on 1st April, 2014 using my net banking account for Rs. 300.00. I received a confirmation message from Dish TV that the recharge is successful and have received a confirmation email (see below) from their payment gateway, Rechargeitnow.com. However, for some reason, the recharge amount was never credited to my Dish TV account. I called their customer support and they say that they not received the recharge amount. Then, they ask me to contact via email. Since, the last days, I have written several emails, but all I get is an automated message. This is really frustrating. I want my money now. I would request the general public to avoid Dish TV for their poor service and for no concern for their viewers.       They recharged my Dish TV account later, however, they did not intimate me that the are finally recharging my TV account. Also, why Rechargeit now responded, why Dish TV is silent on this matter??

        my name is satyajit karmakar & i'm using dish tv since 2008. after knowing that dishtv is providing 40+ HD channels (which is not true at all) in november 2013, i took hd connection of dish tv & than i got to know that many of their hd channels are fake. i called to dishtv customer care to ask about this but they were saying that they have the permission to provide these channels as HD. i made a contact with zee cafe & axn on facebook & they said that they are not providing Zee cafe & axn in HD, in india. so i decided to stop using dishtv & i'm moving to tata sky.

        you can see at this pic that the sony pix channel is not actual HD but in the info bar, it's pix hd. there are many channels like this one is airing on dishtv.

        we already had a conversation on phone. what will you do if i mail my vc no. & contact no. again? surely you will say the same words which you've already said yesterday. if you really want to do something for your customer, then accept that you're providing sd channels in hd packages, just by changing the name of those channels. accept the truth, here, if you have enough guts.

          I am to bring to your attention the business practice being adopted by DISH TV which is against the interest of the consumer and favoring the company at the cost of the hapless subscribers. The facts of the case are:As per schemes offered by the company in Oct 2013, I took subscription on 19.10.2013 with subscriber ID as VC No. xxxxxxxxxx HD connection including HD+ services with HD+ boxby paying INR 21, 990/- towards Contracting for Life time ( limited to 5 years) service forHD ROYALE PACK having 340 channels plus39 HD channels which included, as per Dish TV website and publication material, amongst other channelsCOLORS HD CHANNEL. Now, effective 1st Apr. 2014, Dish TV has discontinued the services of COLORS HD CHANNEL for me andtermed that the said channel is NOT subsrcribed by merequests for sending SMS "DISHTV GET 2" to 57575, in case I want to have the channleIt also says that "No charges payable for "" On Request A-la-carte"despite sending SMS on 1st & 2nd April, 14, the channel has not bee activatedinstead they send SMS saying tha "Colors HD is availabe in COLORS HD ALACARTE A-LA-CARTE AT RS. 65 PM. TO ORDER SMS : DISH TV ADDHD02 <vc no.> to 57575" In order to solve the matter I contacted DISH TV office and spoke on 04.04.14 at 20.05 hrs to their Supervisor one Mr. Santosh Raj at[protected] who agreed with my concern but refused to restore the channel already paid for citing that the company has authority to change channels whenever they wish. At my insistence he arranged for call back by his superior and one Mr. Charanjeet Singh (91-xxxxx-xxxxx) called back on 04.04.14 at 20.58 hours. After long deliberations, he tried to convince me that the company has got sole authority to remove channels as per their business requirements. When confronted he tried to take shelter of T&C of the subscriber agreement BUT failed to show such terms in the said agreement.

          Even I am cheated the same way as you. I had paid for 5 years and this is what dish tv has done to us. I believe we should file a case against them in consumer court. They think they can take the consumer for a ride. They should be taught an apt lesson.

            Dear Concerned,

            My Name is Aditya Acharya & I am a subscriber of Dish TV since 21 Feb 2013. I don't even remember now, how many times I have complained regarding a same issue & for the same every single time I had to pay for the respective paid Services by Dist TV. Once again as its been a regular issue with me now that since the time Dish TV has been installed at my house every now & then I get the same problem with the Signals & that's just due to the way the Dish for my Master is installed in such a way that the Signals are never constant. I have couple of TV's at my place & so I thought it would be better if I take Dish as a Master-Baby connection & hence did so & now what I see is that the other TV's run's absolutely fine but the problem always arises with my TV. Every time I paid Rs. 170 odd for any rectification required & yet I don't understand why does Dish TV charges the same amount from the customer even when its not the fault of the customer at all. I am just informing you & I am forwarding the same mail to consumer forum not for any monetary benefit rather I just want this issue to be raised in Media & all the actors whoever are your Brand Ambassador shall understand what they are recommending.

            Since last 1 month once again I am not able to view any channel as every time the TV is switched on it show Error No. 301 Signal Not Found that "IN CASE OF HEAVY RAIN PLEASE WAIT TILL IT STOPS" Yet I am afraid I did not call the respected Customer Care of Dish TV as whenever there is a error like this happens I need to intimate them (Customer Care) & they send there Technician who comes, rectifies the problem for at least next 4-5 days & charges Rs. 170 odd & goes away & the same problem persists or any other same kind of problem arises & the same process is continued. Now I just need some help on this that how much total a customer like me "NOT ALL" needs to pay monthly if that could be clarified by DISH. I would request a revert with some resolution please...

            I had purchase 2 dishtv conection (VC no:[protected]) on dtd 26April2015 after 48 days i.e on 13 june my TV stop getting signal i lodged complain &amp; request no:18326542 technicican visted my site &amp; told me that you have to pay Rs.300/- + tax for each antena to reinstall of Dishtv
            &amp; there is no physical damage, only not proper installtion of dishtv antena
            I request to you that please order dishtv to reinstall the Dish Antena only free of cost(because i am under in waranty period &amp; there is no hardware damage) &amp; from day 13june2015 i am not enjoying my Television they have to extend my validity date of my VC no: [protected]

              i am dish tv member since long with vc no [protected] with hd and sd connections. i have chosen certain pack for certain channels \unfortunately dish tv deleted many channels from pack and put it on a la carte for grabbing additional money once i had paid for the month like colors hd. suppose someone recharges for year and one fine morning you delete the channel and put on a la carte. you are supposed to refund me or provide me the channels til my payment is done. is not this cheating a customer.

                Annual subscription i have paid for will be ending with my next Payment due in June'2014. [protected] : ========= On my request to dishTV, damaged VC card ( VC # [protected] ) was replaced on payment base, with new VC card ([protected] ) . [protected] ========= After waiting for 24 hrs, when services not resumed, minimum 10 times called and registered compliant with dish TV but no positive result . [protected] : ========= Finally it was replied by dish TV stating that new VC card replaced with was invalid and hence they should get it replaced with another one . [protected] ======== Above said newly replaced VC card again replaced with new VC Card ( VC Card No : [protected] ) . [protected] ======== Only Free channel were coming & all other channels which are part of my subscribed package not coming . For this when complained to customer care dishTV i was assured that my current VC card # [protected] shall be activated w/o any failure on the day itself . [protected] ======== When switched on the TV, it is completely deactivated with error code 102 and also i can not view `` My Account'' to see if latest VC card [protected] exist s or not . I want this to be resolved and also time lapses due to dishTV has to be taken care while revising next due date for payment . Sunita Singh

                  I ABHISHEK RANJAN a consumer of DISHTV dissatisfied by the company and mental harassed by the company as i have recharged my dishtv account with 1000rs on 30/3/2014 by watching their watching website as my package is of 220 on which etv. bihar/jharkhand was showing on website and tv too but from 31/3/2014 it is not showing around 8.00pm and their representative is asking again for a payment of rs 600 for up gradation of box service is poor too .I have purchased my dish+ November 2013 only and that time they don't tell anything now they are saying for up gradation of box which is unethical behaviour for consumer as i have recharge my dish tv account by watching their package now they are giving mental stress to us which ridicules behaviour for us. As consumer these types of service for entertainment not for mental harassment as these types of behaviour irritates and dissatisfies the customer as they don’t give prior intimation for removing /ending of channel as this is an unethical behaviour to us

After one week sound problems come.I call to dish customer care they told me your setup box problem. but they denied to replace with same pack. Before offering or recharge FTA pack. Dish tv did not inform me about that if you will get any problem your connection problem not resolved and you have to take a new connection. I have also recharge for al-carte 200 rs. The package offered Colors HD channel at the time of recharge. However, without any consent from me, the services on Channel No.2, i.e. Colors HD has been discontinued wef 31 Mar 14 (midday). This practice of discontinuing or withdrawing a service after being paid in advance for the said service is highly irregular and unlike a reputed firm like Disth TV. This amounts to fraud on the part of the company, especially without the explicit consent of the customer who had paid for the services. On being queried with the customer care, they said, "Aisa hote rehta hain (it happens so)". This means that such things are common practice with this company. I have a recording of thsi conversation with the customer care executive who was anything but helpful. Please redress my complaints. Also, the fraud on the part of the service provider for having withdrawn the services for the period from 31 Mar 14 needs to be looked into at appropriate level.

                      Customer Care executive of Dish TV contacted me. BUT THE THINGS HE HAD TO SAY WERE UTTER FOOLISHNESS. He was reading out their company policy that "THE COMPANY IS ENTITLED TO DEAL THE PACKAGE OF THE CUSTOMER AS THEY WISH... ALL THE CUSTOMER IS EXPECTED TO DO IS PAY THEM MONEY SO THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY PLEASE!!!" He also intimated that instead of the discontinued channel OF MY CHOICE, DISH TV has provided me with some channels of THEIR CHOICE. I am at a loss to understand the role of the customer in this system if he can't choose his preferred channels, FOR WHICH HE HAD PAID IN ADVANCE!!!

                      Pathetic dealing of the complaint. I do not expect any good from wiring to Dish TV ([protected]@dishtv.in) even.
                      Also, it is the company tactics to keep the customer engaged with their pathetic customer support executives till such time the package validity expires, so that they do not have to take any meaningful action on the issue. Forget about any compensatory action post-facto, they will not do anything while my package is still active.

                        Hi, My VC no. "[protected]" in the name of Mr. B.K.Rao. I have subscribed for a HD world pack for an year. As part of the deal which Dish TV advertise, when a user subscribes for an year, he or she is shielded from any changes in the channels during the subscribed period. But yesterday they broke there promise and removed Colours HD and CNBC from the HD pack. The customer care says that they cannot help me with this.

                              Hi. This is Harsha. My Dish TV VC number is [protected] From Saturday (22/03/2014), ETV Kannada channel (881) is blocked for us. It is supposed to be available as part of "On Request" A-la-carte. I have tried to request this channel multiple times but the channel is not getting enabled. I am deeply disappointed at the DISH TV's approach of blocking the most viewed channel by me. It started with blocking of CNN-IBN and MTV couple of months ago and now ETV Kannada is also blocked. When I paid the subscription money last time CNN-IBN, MTV and ETV Kannada were part of my package. It is absolutely unfair to start blocking my most viewed channels one by one and make them "paid" channels. Also, Your customer care number is not reachable at all. I have been trying to call for past 2 days. I keep losing money on every call to your customer care number. Let me know if this issue can be rectified by you or I will switch to another provider.                                   I have Dish HD service at my home. V.C. number [protected]. Today on 18th March 2014 at 4.23 pm, I had called Diah Tv customer care number to activate Star sports 3 as a la carte pack. I was told by the diah tv executive that I would also get Star sports 1 free along with star sports 3 till 6th Apr 2014 for the T20 world cup. Star sports 3 started immediately but star sports 1 not started. I have again called same day at 11.13pm but got a very annoying response from another executive that you have activated only one channel & yhe offer was only till 16th March. Now my question is If the offer was only till 16th then why I was promised that I will get both the channels???? as many matches are coming on star sports 1, I would have activated star sports 1 instead of 3. Its clear cut mis leading to customers to fetch extra money from them. So, Kindly look into the matter & either start my star sports 1 service. You can check call records of dish customer care for your reference(call time is mentioned above)

                                    My VC number is [protected] and name is Sanjeev. I requested for pick by channels in your dish tv website and after that they told me that we have not received your request so kindly send a mail to us with the channel name you want to pick. Again I sent a mail with all the channel names I want to pick on 8th march. On 11th march evening one of the customer care guy called me to ask only why I opted for pick by channels and said I would get more channels if I pick base pack. But I insisted that I want pick by channels and as the world cup is coming activate the pack soon. He said he will forward it to our marketing team and they will call me and activate the pack. After couple of days I sent mail to dish tv customer care. But they also said they forwarded my request to the concern department and wait till the needful being done. Even yesterday I again sent a mail but they are again forwarding the same answer again. Today morning I called the customer care and said the issue and they also tell the same thing wait. How much days I have to wait. If at all Pick by channels in Dish tv is their are not? Till now they did not even raise a complaint or service request. What are they thinking are they giving service for free? We are paying an lump sum amount for it. I chose nearly 15 channels in Pick by channels and the total cost of the channels come to 150 rupees. But they are telling it is exclusive of tax. After adding service tax and entertainment tax it comes to 279 rupees. Tax is 129 rupees for 150 rupees. Why is the tax is so high? What the hell TRAI is doing? Who's responsibility to check all this? Even if we agree to pay all these tax and Dish tv is not in any mood to activate pick by channels.

But my favourite channels like Colors, CNN IBN etc. have been removed from my subscription. This is gross injustice to me. Kindly resolve the problem as I've submitted exactly Rs. 499=00 required for Titanium. And please also settle the earlier amount by extending my subscription.                                         but didn't get any reply from Dish TV.

                                        Again i have call them today(08/03/2014) they told me to wait 72hrs More.
