Hi,

After servicing my bike for the fifth time it had started making sounds in chain box. These sounds are irretating and killing the joy of ride. I took bike to showroom(LB Nagar Ring Road, Hyderabad) to get it fixed. They said that this problem is common in these(Unicorn & Shine) bikes and adjusted chain which did not work. Even after trying for four times in two months problem is still there, I have even serviced bike thinking that it will rectify the problem.

I want to know whether the problem is really there in all Unicorn bikes or only in my bike. Can it be fixed and how. Except these sounds this bike is superb in every aspect. Even I am getting decent milage i.e around 58 in city drive.

I too agree with the sound that come out from the chain drive, it is not just a sound its an extra horn fitted to my bike, so many times the sound makes me to turn back in panic to what is that, later i used to that noise . I lubricate the chain for every 1000km and also tight it as mentioned in the bike manual, but even then the sound did not stop . The sound is occurring only at low speeds >35km/hr that too in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears.
at high speeds it is cool and hot riding. I am also getting some sound in the back brake

how to solve this two problems? is there any to help me out.

i am facing the same problem. At 1st and 2nd gear at low speeds this knocking sound is heard. This is very irritating. how can i solve this problem???? Can i install a chain drive like apache, avenger or a pulsar 180, 200, or 220 which have open chained drive.???

the exact problem exists n my bike too - Unicorn 2009 model.
I experience this sound when i'm riding single and immediately after taking a left turn (some times immeidiately after a right turn)

I hv not heard of any such problems on Shine though. I checked with a local garage and the conclusion given was that unlike all other bikes wic had 120-125 links in the chain Unicorn has 146 chain links wic is much much higher and thus the chances of such sounds are found most in UNICORN. I also got the magwheel bearings replaced with new ones but ultimately nothings payed for my problem.

Yes, I was having Hero Honda Splendor for past 9 years, I did not have any problem such as Chain, Mudguard striking the chain during light loose condition. But in my Honda Shine, after a purchase period of One and half years I received the same chain loose problem which started shearing and rubbing with chain and chain guard and during my crucial travel along with my family to catch train, the vehicle got strucked up and I could not proceed further. then I stopped my vehicle and took Auto rickshaw to reach Railway station. After my return I found my chain got cut into two halves, I was really shocked to see this.

This is a very serious problem, which Honda has to take care in rectifying during their subsequent manufacturing product.
ALL SEEMS TO FAKE COMMENTS. Using Unicorn from last 6 years. Only prob is spare parts are not available.
Same problem in my 2006 honda unicorn... i am frantically searching for a solution, anybody knows the way out of this problem please comment...
Chain sprocket wheel is worn out, although you can't see it through naked eyes, it gets worn out by micrometers or millimeters. Change your rear chain sprocket wheel, ask the servicing station for the sprocket wheel and fit them yourselves or a let a mechanic do it. It may cost max. around 900 to 1000 Rs.
Same problem in my Honda Unicorn(April-2012), every time mechanic adjust but next week i facing same problem and also front wheel shaking how to solve this problem..
Even my CB-Unicorn has the same problem, chain makes tak-tak-tak sound while changing gears to 2 and 3. Honda service center (Narayanguda and Somajiguda) are worthless, whenever I complain them of the problem, they just tight the chain and adjust the rear wheel, the problem crops up again in just days.
Even new Unicorn bike have Chain box sound problem.
Ask servicemen to check the problem.
My friend, who brought new unicorn had this problem.
He did what ever he cud do.
He visited both Honda trained servicemen & local workshop guys.
Nobody was able to give a permanent solution to the problem.
Atlast he decided to change chain & spocket.
That worked, now everything is fine.
He has clocked more than 16000kms after that replacement.
Still no problem.

SO it is better to change chain spocket.
It may sound ridiculous but this works.
I[censored] doubt about its success, then as ur mechanic to switch chain & spocket with another Unicorn's Chain & spocket.

Even im also facing the same problem for the past 3 months, even after given my bike for service in company outlet (Honda Service) itself. Just they are tightening the chain at the time and giving back. No use in servicing, its only wastage of our money. One more thing i feel sorry and shame to say that my bike has not even completed 1 year still...

Hello Guys,

Even I am experiencing the problem from two three days, my bike is just 4 months old and has completed aroung 4k kms, what should I do to mitigate this problem ?

Guys try removing the chain casing and refit it... While fitting the same, use the bolt washers (metal piece that seperate casing and bolt) as inverted. It will resolve the issue.

Also befoee refitting the casing, check and confirm that it is not folded or bended and there ia no possibility to get in contact with chain while driving..

I too facing the same problem with my Shine. I changed chain joint couple of times. I removed chain caps and tried test ride still I can hear the sound. Seems there is some problem donno how to solve this. Any one help is appreciated.
Believe me. I am facing this issue right from when I bought Unicorn 6 years ago. The sound is killing the joy of the ride. But now Iam used to it. Now as some one suggested let me try and change the chain and sprocket.

    hello this is magesh from trichy which is my brothers one . while i ride my honda shine TN22 BC 1909 on road i just applied front brake and fell down at the time the handle bar bend. i just ride in to M.A. HONDA showroom and let it to remove bend of handle bar. they also did it. but i cant satisfy with it. so i just go to showroom and request to remove the handle bar and fit it new one. but they told there is no stock of handle bar just wait a week. so i request them to remove the handle bar and give it to me, i remove the bend from my own risk. but they refused to do so, till im riding the bike with the fork shake in that roads... kindly do the needfull.

    hai this is mageshwaran from trichy. im having shine that is very economically because very good in mileage more than 60/litre thank you
    I just yesterday puchased as honda shine bike. It is very nic. But the handbar is in exact horizantal position. It is some what tilted. I asked the mechanic regarding this matter. But he cooly answer i it is common to all shine bike. I am not able to accept. So please suggest me how to rectify my problem.
    hi, i also the same problem with the shine bike.suddenly I had an accident and fall down on the road.
    and that time the handle was not proper its become tight and one side .know I removed that fork bend and handle bend but know also it seems the same problem what to do please contact me on this number -[protected]

      sir,
      i would like to inform you that, i brought unicorn from your dealership at muvattupuzha ( E V M) .ENG NO :KC09E 4010593, CHASSIS NO : ME4KC098D78010661, for my periodic service i gave my bike on 27-2-09 to E VM, they charged 1435 . but they didnot give the bills & replace details, service manager mr harish behaved very badly and also my complaints still remaining, after service bike is not clean and all work are pending.please take immediate solution for that .

      JSP honda services/Honda Unicorn — Very Poor services

      I was very proud when i brought my Bike Honda/Unicorn, World Class bike in my Indian Market. Everything smashed into pieces when i left my bike for service, after my first service and second i decided not to go to Honda service station for any more servicing. These guys are keen in only replacing part and to eat out our Wallets not in fixing problem. The problem what i had in my bike are as follows,

      1. After 3 month i brought my bike the front disc started rubbing with the shoes, multiple times the brake shoes were changed lot of adjustment i did, even now i could not fix the problem.

      2. After an year, the Fuel tank started leaking in multiple place, which starts with a corrosion mark, the quality of metallic inside the tank was very poor, where i could lot of corrosion inside the fuel tank. The only solution from the services is to replace the tanks, which was not a solution?

      3. After an year and half all the back bumper and the side scoffs started vibrating and found all the fixing points are broken. Rather providing additional support to the fixing point, services recommended to replace the complete kit which was costing RS. 2200, But i fixed myself with a cost of Rs.20 using fewistick.

      My very strong suggestion to the big shot who are taking Franchisee, Please Don't spoil the reputation of big Brand's across the World because of your poor service quality.

      we have purchased one unicorn bike on[protected] from Aryabhangy motors, Aluva in kerala, afterwords we found the trip meter of the bike if not working and reported to dealer. The assured us to repair it during 1st service, after the 2nd service also they have not replaced or repaired the faulty meter, then i have returned the bike to them and they have replaced the meter with one old model without matching the colour. Due to small accident i have again given the bike for repairs on 27-06-09, according to their job card no 3603 the bike should return after repairs on[protected], yet now i have not received the bike, when we call them they are not in a position to tell us or the persons are not taking any seriousness to our calls. Please advice what can i do..., i have spend Rs:68000.00 for buying this bike, can i get my bike after repairs in a reasonable time with a new meter
      I purchased Honda Unicorn from JSP Automotive, Chennai on 28-July-09 (Tuesday). I hereby would like to bring to your notice with deep concerns that the vehicle was not thoroughly checked before delivering to me.

      The issue I faced is that while riding my bike in heavy traffic, all of sudden my Handle bar assembly shifted out of alignment inturn leading my vehicle off-track. I made a narrow escape what would have been a trauma. This leads to the question of Honda’s QA policy and your irresponsible attitude towards your customers. I have also taken a video shot of how the handle bar was mis-aligned as a proof to share with you. Iam not interested in taking this issue with the dealer as I don’t want myself to get compromised with just tightening a bolt or other service procedure. You made my life at stake which is hard to recover from. Hence, Iam taking the issue directly to Honda. There are millions o[censored]ser’s in India trusting your Brand while the consumers are taken lightly with just sales and profit being your motto.

      Also, another Issue I noted is that there is starting problem at cold start. As a consumer I noticed 2 problems in one day of delivery and what is that your QA department for and what is the PDI report for?

      I would like to get your response from Honda directly and immediately, failing which I will take this matter to the consumer forum.

      I've purchased Honad Unicorn 1yr back.3months back its lock got Jam. As I've only one key service centre guys refused to replace it under warranty. They said they vl put a special case and send it to co. if they accept it they will return the money.Its almost 3months,they have not given me any report about it and when I asked for the report they refused and said it will take time.
      The replaced lock also got jam with in a span of 3months.
      Plz tell me how much should I Wait????

      this is prashant, I own a uni, bought in aug 09, in bangalore. Did you get any response from honda?
      If not, lodge a complaint in Honda website, , i think u will sure get a response. I had an issue of getting ugly noise from chain cover, and got it done with service center, which did not solve the issue. then i lodge a complaint in website and next day the service center guys started calling me again and again to bring the bike to service station, then some how after taking it there for more than 7 times, . one person found the issue and fixed it...

      yes, bike is good but i faced the COlD start issue many times. and still face it..
      but after service for few days i felt the cold start was smooth.. but again the issue started after few days...

      My name is dr alkesh agrawal i am working in sahyadri speciality hospital in pune . i have booked honda unicorn black colour on 29/12/09 at kothari wheels wakdewadi.and thye told that they will deliver the bike within 15 days and today they are not not ready to tell when they are going to deliver it. i called 3 times today but with a poor response from the persons working there, and i booked the vehicle with rupees 1000/ in cash and after submitting the dd from central bank on 30/12/09 about asking refund there answer was that u will get the money after your bike is delivered, is this the kind of services honda provides to its customer i want to know that. and please let me know how soon the bike will be delivered and plese consider my application regarding my complaint and some necessary action will be taken i hope so because they are not very keen in selling their bikes i assume that they think it is the necessity of the customer and not the dealer . so i request u to consider my application as early as possible and do the needful.

      Dear Sir,
      On Friday 25/02/2011, my Honda Unicorn given for servicing at Pratik Honda service center, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Service center job card number is 65224. As per the service center information to me I went to collect my bike on Monday 28/02/2011. I found my bike seat which is very good one is changed with old scrap seat. I asked to service center person about seat he told me you pay money (which are service charges 4, 172.00) then they will solve seat change problem. After paying money, they request me that there is mistake happened by them, so please manage with this old seat or buy new seat, but they can’t change to my original seat. I asked about their manager number but they refuse (Answer - They don’t have authority to give the number). And I don’t know why your manager will not available for customer when they have some complaint. They told me already they spoken with manager and manager told that they can’t change seat, only solution is I have to buy new one. After many requests also the answer from them is to buy the new one by myself.

      I really not expected this type of service. It means you can change anything to any on your wish and customer has to pay if he want his original one for service center fault, or it may be your management business strategy to increase the sales of so by supporting like these mistakes from your staff.
      I want my original seat or new seat and I will not manage with old scrap seat. Let me know about your action about this complaint as soon as possible. And also let me know when you are going to deliver my bike with original seat.

      My name is A.Pappu raj. 17.05.2010 i have brought a bike in Sri meenakshi motors (p) Ltd., Tirunelveli.My vehicle no is TN72AE4000.Now a days while i am driving in that bike my left hand arm shoulders are very paining. 14/03/2011 i leave my bike for service until now they did not take my bike for service. they did not give correct answer for me. Due to this problem i have spend lot of money to the hospital.       My name is Srikanth.Y, i am in mysore, i purchased one honda unicorn bike form u r dealer on feb 24th 2011. Recently i met with some accident, so that time some of my bike parts were damaged, so my insurance people send a work order to u r palace honda show room in mysore. so show room people rise purchase order and that po send to company for new parts for my bike, its almost one and half month is over still i did n't receive any of parts from honda company, so daily i am suffering to travel by bus, and consult show room people, they informed us, sir we are helpless, we can n't do any thing, because company people are not sending any of the parts from the company, so what to do. so please kindly provide me the solution, this is recluses.       Hi,
      Now i am residing at chennai. I did my bike services(first three services) at Manasarovar Honda in Velachery. I was VERY MUCH depressed with their services. I told a complaint from second service onwards i.e. My bike Engine makes too noise and fuel indicator not working from the date i purchased till NOW. They even didn't take care of it.
      Now i give my bike for service(Fourth service) by today(06 th june) to SHREE AARTHEE MOTORS, gerugambakkam, chennai.

      Hope they will do my bike service best. please make sure the service as quick as possible and deliver my bike with best service. If i am not satisfied i will surely suggest(In Intranet blog) my friends & colleagues that PLEASE DON'T BUY HONDA BIKES.

      I Hope Honda has the good quality of motors.

      On 07/07/12 i did my last service in LODHA MOTORS in tambaram, Chennai.i was very much worried with their service.Even they didn't water wash.Now i am facing starting problem.From today morning my unicorn engine not started.i tried in kicker and self starter also.i dnt know what i to do.

      LODHA MOTORS very very worst in service.they only money minded.Supervisor also worst in experience.he never gave good explanation.

      I have been servicing my bike (Eng No. KC09E6194120) in the authorized show room which is situated near Dr. Rajkumar Road - Bangalore & Chandra Layout Bangalore. Despite three time my personal request they have not put crash guard into my bike. Whenever i request for any spares they will come out with non acceptable excuses, like out of stock.

      Now i am repenting for purchasing Unicorn Bike. Now i came to know that why hero hond is more selling bike in India.
      CONSISTANT FAILURE OF THE UNICORN HONDA-CB VEHICLE WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD
      I have bought Honda CB Unicorn on the 18th of JULY 2011 from PASHANKAR AUTO PVT LTD(Shivaji Nagar, Pune).I have travelled around 27, 000Kms with my bike till today.I didn't even complete TWO years but I got PROBLEM with the ENGINE within six month from the date of purchase of bike.
      I am doing regular services in PASHANKAR AUTO PVT LTD service center(karve road Kedar empire, Pune) and also changing engine oil for every 2, 000kms.From last one & half year I have taken this bike for FOUR times to service center for the only problem which is so major, b'coz its related to safety of the customer's life.
      The issue I faced is that while riding my bike on[protected] in traffic, all of sudden gear changing was stopped even after i tried many times every gear position by shifting gear shifter lever up & down.I Understood the situation immediately & I made a narrow escape. what would have been a trauma. Engine remained started with sudden failure of the Transmission.
      Likewise I have faced this problem on the road while driving, not only once but 4 times till today. But service center people aren't looking confident yet to resolve this problem.
      One imp issue you should notice with my bike is, its exaust valve guide in the cyl. head got broken within one year[protected].They have replaced too many parts after that. Those are as follows
      Exaust valve, valve stem, valve guide, chain sprocket, engine main shaft
      They are not in a position to identify where is the root cause of the failure exactly.By knowing the proposed accedental incident with me, everyone is saying that its a very serious problem with the bike. I don't know why you people are not identifying the problem.This is the way service is going for my vehicle.Everytime when this problem came, They are changing something else apart from the main problem.If the problem occurs repeatedly with in 2 years, Then there is some manufacturing defect. So they have to replace entire engine . But they are doing alterations and sending me back everytime without resolving main problem and showing me oral assurance that it will not happen again.
      I had a good opinion on HONDA vehicles and service centers of HONDA.I was totally irritated with the way the service is going for my vehicle.
      If it is the case how people will prefer HONDA 2wheeler vehicles. Since last one & half year you people are not able to find proper solution of the problem. if you people are taking this much carelessness and ignorance then how do people trust and go for a HONDA. I am sorry to say this but i would not recommend anyone to go for HONDA vehicles.

      I have bought Honda CB Unicorn on the 18th of JULY 2011 from PASHANKAR AUTO PVT LTD(Shivaji Nagar, Pune).I have travelled around 27, 000Kms with my bike till today.I didn't even complete TWO years but I got PROBLEM with the ENGINE within six month from the date of purchase of bike.
      I am doing regular services in PASHANKAR AUTO PVT LTD service center(karve road Kedar empire, Pune) and also changing engine oil for every 2, 000kms.From last one & half year I have taken this bike for FOUR times to service center for the only problem which is so major, b'coz its related to safety of the customer's life.
      The issue I faced is that while riding my bike on[protected] in traffic, all of sudden gear changing was stopped even after i tried many times every gear position by shifting gear shifter lever up & down.I Understood the situation immediately & I made a narrow escape. what would have been a trauma. Engine remained started with sudden failure of the Transmission.
      Likewise I have faced this problem on the road while driving, not only once but 4 times till today. But service center people aren't looking confident yet to resolve this problem.
      One imp issue you should notice with my bike is, its exaust valve guide in the cyl. head got broken within one year[protected].They have replaced too many parts after that. Those are as follows
      Exaust valve, valve stem, valve guide, chain sprocket, engine main shaft
      They are not in a position to identify where is the root cause of the failure exactly.By knowing the proposed accedental incident with me, everyone is saying that its a very serious problem with the bike. I don't know why you people are not identifying the problem.This is the way service is going for my vehicle.Everytime when this problem came, They are changing something else apart from the main problem.If the problem occurs repeatedly with in 2 years, Then there is some manufacturing defect. So they have to replace entire engine . But they are doing alterations and sending me back everytime without resolving main problem and showing me oral assurance that it will not happen again.
      I had a good opinion on HONDA vehicles and service centers of HONDA.I was totally irritated with the way the service is going for my vehicle.
      If it is the case how people will prefer HONDA 2wheeler vehicles. Since last one & half year you people are not able to find proper solution of the problem. if you people are taking this much carelessness and ignorance then how do people trust and go for a HONDA. I am sorry to say this but i would not recommend anyone to go for HONDA vehicles.

From day one onwards the bike is making various issues like starting issues, petrol missing while riding, unusual noises from engine etc.I am really fed-up contacting Aluva and Angamaly office(s).       Delicate Headlight Dome

      The headlight assembly is very delicate, the bracket connecting the dome to the handle is broken for the second time in 2 months, please help me with a permanent solution

        I don't know if this complaint reaches the concerned authority or not but everyone must know what a big mistake it is to buy a honda bike, not due to operational problems but due to problems faced from the dealer.
        I bought a HONDA SHINE BIKE on 13th october 2008 from KRISHNA HONDA CHANDIGARH.My bike suffered an accident on jan14th 2009 in which tank and 2-3 more parts were damaged.Till date the dealer is not able to arrange for the new tank.Every time they say they have placed the order to he head office but they are not sending the required parts.
        If th company cannot replace an accessory why did at the first place manufacture he thing.They don't understand how big problem the customer is facing.
        If anybody listening kindly take the required action so that i am in position to receive my bike at the earliest

        Honda showroom ppls will tell your honda engine under 2 years warranty.
        But when it come to service end second service it sel[censored] have to pay!!! for any type of parts replaced by service center. so there is no use with warranty i[censored] shout they only deduct service charges thats alll.

          hi i am a cbz xtreme customer. i bought it on 2009, the new version of xteme with red mag wheels. I am getting a mileage of 50, 53 and 56 an average of 50 km. My complaint is that, the bike is producing some noice when it is in 1st or 2nd gear. I think the noice comes from the fuel tank, the sound is just like a screw were dipped into the fuel tank.. I just told to the service center people about this. They done somethin but it is still remaining.

          The noise comming from the tank is lever that dips into the petrol. It is this lever that makes your fual guage meter work.Its not a defect in your bike. It mostly comes when you move your bike sideways.
          i am in mehasana cbz bike problem is long drive to make a voise in sailencer etc cut cut cut so this is very critical problem? i purchage in 2010
          my cbz model 2011 also has the same problem sounds like a screw droped in the tank just vibrating at speeds 55+kmphr.

              the millennium motors of jorhat, assam once had very good mechanics.they are good as engineers.but those mechanics of this days are very poor in providing a quality service to their customers.i owned a cbz xtreme bike of 14th july.2008 purchased.after riding and using the bike for 1000 kms approx. the disk brake of front wheel gives sound like it is suffering friction between the disk and brake shoes asbastors while the bike is in motion. the mechanics dealed with this problem by applying grease to the disks.after some days when the disel or grease are out again the same problem occurs.
              please meri aawaaz sunooo...and give me peace of mind...

              Yes some times they may change your bike Disk for the replacement for their friends or they may sell them.
              the self start problem of this bike is very hasty, till now many times it had created this problem, i am not even using morn horn r night journies, still everyday i m getting fed up with the self start... i need a solution for this

                Bad Mileage and Pick up, Skidding too much

                I have purchased HONDA SHINE in Dec 2007. Its almost 1 year 2 months completed, The milage is horrible, on an average its giving only 40-43 KM/litre. Service centre (Free service for 1st yr is worst) they never solve any problems in the servicing. I doubt will they change the engine oil or simply wash and give back.                   I want to complain directly to the Director and Chairman of the Hero Honda Motor Cycles, becasue they are very talented people and their invention to the gengeral people of India. I have purchase one Hero Honda Super Spledor from ESSAY Agencies, Karol Bagh as on 23.03.2008, after completion of all free services my vehicle is showing average only 35 to 40 km per ltr. Maximum time I am filled petrol through my credit card with tank full. When I am looking of km reading, only it is coming 402 km before taking reserve. I am heck and tired with services of Khanna S/stn, at Mayapuri and last service changed at Rama Road. Particularly they are not cleaning properly, not checking lights and parts of vehicle properly, not talking and pleasing properly, they are not bother what type of service customer should get from us. Just they are running with the name of HERO HONDA COMPANY. Many more friend are giving suggestion to purchase Bajaj Motor Cycle. Now, I am going to take decision that I should sell this vehicle, but when I am thinking about loan, I am silent. At the time of purchase they told many more things, but I am frustrated. They told one year guarantee for my vehicle. So I request to the Director of Hero Honda Motor Cycle, please change this Hero Honda Super Spledor Motor Cycle and provide me a new one if I will not get answer from you withing seven days I will sucide my self infront of your agencies at Karol Bagh.                       I have gone for paid services on 7.11.2008 and also given bike battery for recharging. But at the time of taking delivery it is noticed that my bike battery is misplaced by dealer and dealer has put old battery which is not mine.                         On 13Th January 2009 I have approached the Dealer (PURACKAL HONDAS, CHANGANACHERRY) for rectification or replacement of the Batteryof my Hond DIO No.KL 28/3311, purchased on 30 January 2008, at the same time they had taken the battery and returned the vehicle.Now it is very dangerous to ride the vehicle without the Horn and the Fuel indicater.within these Fifteen days I have escaped certain disasters due to GOD"s grace only.Due to my mental torture and inconvenience for riding the vehicle what and what not I have to do may please be intimated.

                        Is it not your moral duty to Replace or Rectify such a small fact within a day or two?.Now I am liable to approach Legal authorities for Componsation for this negligence of your department at the earliest.

                          Hi,

                          I bought my Honda Unicorn in September 2008. It's just had 2 free services. The bike's performance has been excellent. But since the past few weeks I have been having problems with confused mileage. Why I say "confused mileage" is this. For a litre of petrol I would get b/w 52-56 km/ltr. But lately it has dropped to 40 km/ltr. I have verified the quantity of fuel to be 1 ltr at the bunk.

                          Madam/ sir,



                          With great dissatisfaction and disgust, i bring to your notice the poor and frustrating service that is being given to the customers (me in specific terms), by the PRATHAM MOTORS SERVICE STAFF.



                          I had purchased a red coloured hunk on, 6/5/08, with an intent to have a beautifull and a joly riding experiance ahead.

                          However, as soon as the bike roller out of the showroom, the delivery person accidentally rubbed the side plastic pannel against the wall and put a bad scratch. With a heavy heart and disgust, i did not say any thing to the service person.

                          next he pulled the accelerator hard resulting in tappet noise from the engine ( which i got rectified from another trusted showroom).

                          I would like to point out that this is not a good thing a far as the engine is concerned. I next pointed out the noise in the engine to the delivery person and got a responce that this has been deliberately kept "like that" from the company and will be rectified at the first service.





                          My frist service was on 21/05/08 ( i have a hectic schedule so i went to showroom on sunday)

                          I had some minor ( and some major ones like the tappet) problems with the bike.

                          When i collected the bike in evening, i noticed that the engine had gone from bad to worse.

                          The gears were not changing properly, the tappet was still making noise.. The disc brake was making noise while braking

                          Later i found out that i was getting a milage of just 20 kmpl ( my 8 yr old maruti 800 gives me a better average than that) . Assuming that this was due to running in period of the engine, i still did not make a hue and cry of this issue. But pointed it out to the floor manager teh fifth day after the service.

                          The words that i got from him was as follows.. What do you expect from a 63000 rs bike?

                          These problems are normal and you do not need to worry about that.



                          If this is true then i am really sorry that i expected the desh ki dhadkan to be good. I probably forgot that like our desh is full of corruption, i guess the dhadkan has also been affected.



                          Never the less, i thought that this probably a bad day for me and forgot the incident.





                          The bike had started making squealing noises while braking and i went thrice to the service center. They washed the disk and said the problem had been rectified. Needless to say, the noises started as soon as the disc was dried. I had even pointed out to the floor manager that there were scratch marks on the disc and this could be due to defective brake pads but he refused and just washed the disc as usual



                          Till the second service, the condition of the disc had worsened. The scratches had become dark lines. Fearing a seizure, I got the disc pads replaced from goldstar motors (paid one). By this time, my experience with this bike had been not even satisfactory. Almost every part of the bike was squeaking.



                          Second service was on 29/06/08

                          The problems were as follows

                          1) Bike was choking at low speeds and there was binding on the accelerator. I.e. the engine accelerated quickly but the slowing down of the engine was slow. It took 10 seconds to lower from 5000 rpm to 2000 rpm.



                          2) Tappet noise had become horrible



                          3) Chain had become loose (this was not due to defect in the bike but due to a trip to Mumbai)



                          4) The gear lever had to be pushed hard to change gears and i even spoiled a new pair of JORDANS due to this.



                          These were the problems before service,

                          After the service, i found that the rear bulb had stopped working (do not know how this happened)



                          After the service the bike was just as bad as it had been.



                          This time i lost my temper and blasted the floor manager and even complained at the reception. Due to this, the bike was serviced again in front of my eyes and i do not have words to expressing the happiness i felt after the service.

                          The bike was running like a dream, the squeaking had gone, the switches were smoooth. Gears were butter smooth. In fact my bike had become better that ever. Even the first ride of this bike was not this good. The bike had become so smooth.



                          Before continuing further i would like to point out the height of shamelessness and the laziness of the PRATHAM motors shop floor team in this experience.



                          The third service was on 7/9/08 and good ( i guess due to the previous blasting)



                          In the fourth service, the service was as bad as usual (the shop floor manager was missing so was the reception lady)

                          During this service, even though the bike was having no previous problems, they failed to clean the carburetor which i got to know later while collecting the bike



                          Now this was the end of my services in PRATHAM motors. I have decided that i will never get my bike serviced by that showroom.



                          Just for an estimate that how much I have suffered, i would like to bring to your notice that my next two services were done at GOLDSTAR motors and i never faced any problems with their service.



                          Not the question is of what use is your warranty if these incidents happen?
                          IF SUPPOSE, TOMORROW, I FACE A ENGINE PROBLEM LIKE WORN OUT GEARS OR EVEN A TAPPET CHANGE, WOULD I GET IT FREE OF COST ? AND CONSIDERING THAT I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO GET THE BRAKE PADS CHANGED WHEN THE BIKE WAS ALMOST NEW, how do you expect me to believe that if i purchase a hh bike. i will not have the same horrific story again?


                          IF YOU TRUELY BELIEVE THAT THE DESH KI DHADKAN HAS NOT HAD A HEART ATTACK BY SUCH [protected]@#KING IDOTS, PLEASE DO REPLY TO THIS BEFORE I PULL THEM AND LATER YOU TO THE COURTS TO GIVE YOU A PROPER PEICE OF MIND.

                          I agree fully. The HH service centers are worst!. I have to service the bike every two months by paying Rs. 250 to a local service person. The service centers never take any care. My Hunk's engine blew up at just 700kms. After rebuild from HH workshop the engine vibrates like hell along with tappet noise. It has just become unrideable.                             I have Hero Honda Hunk which i purchased from Pratham Motors, Pune. I got it serviced from them. They drained the old oil but did not put new oil. So the engine became failure. Now they are telling me that they will replace the engine parts. If the engine is opened, my bike's resale value will be decreased. But they are not agreeable to this. My Mob no is [protected]. My bike registration no is MH 12 ES 3317.

                            Hero Honda / Hunk — SERVICE PROBLEM

                            SERVICE PROBLEM, NOT GETTING THE REQUIRED SATISFICATION ALSO PROBLEMS ARE NOT SOLVED AS WE THINK MEANS

                            FOR MY PROBLEM I VISITED SHOWROOM SERVICE CENTER 5 TIMES BUT NOT SOLVED YET MY BIKE IS NEW MEANS OF 6 MONTHS.

                            SHOWROOM PEOPLE PEOPLE ARE NOT RESPONCING THEY NEGLET ME EVERY TIME

                              I have purchased a Honda eterno scooter on 27.08.2007 from M/s Globus Motors (P) Ltd Saraswati Vihar bearing invoice no. 07IN02631.I have have reported several complaints regarding engine oil gets exhausted after every[protected] Kms but no satisfactory solution has been recieved.When i approached to service center they asked me to come with the service booklet because your engine is having d problem if d scooter is in warranty it will costs u about Rs.1500 and if it is not in warranty it will costs you Rs 8000.On submitting the booklet and keeping the scooter for 5 days they have returned the scooter as it is by saying that your scooter is working properly.I m fed up by giving complaints.
                              Pleas give me some suggestions.

                                Hey I had also a bad experience with Krishna dealer in Industrial Area phase-1
                                My mothere booked a grey colour activa with them on 14 and they told her that it will be delivered on
                                18 .Today on 17 we received a call, first the lady receptionist told us to purchase activa today only and that is whatever colour they have though we booked grey color only. THen I told that we dont purchase iron things on saturday and we can purchase it on commited date i, e 18. THen she told me to get the full
                                payment today and take kinetic tomorrow.I said how can I make payment in advance, she said If i make full payment today in advance then only she can keep grey color piece for tomorrow otherwise not.
                                I asked her then what is the purpose of taking 1000 Rs if she cant retain it. THen I said ok, then she said
                                that we will have to purchase all accessories from them then I said I dont want to get accessories
                                then she said we dont have a option. I was totally confused by what this lady was saying, she was dealing as I a govt office. God save me from them, Then I wen to there shop and gave a application to cancel my booking, which she told that I will get check after 3 days, THis is the height, THis agency doesnt accept payment in check but when it comes to refund, then they will do so in check and i.e after 3 days. this is one of worst consumer experience in a city like chandigarh

                                its a humble request to you to hand over my ACTIVA as soon
                                as possible, as you commited to me for 90 days but now 90 days
                                have also passed but then also you are not giving to me till now,
                                its a a big harrasment for a customer . so plz try to understand as i
                                m a working women & too i hv to leave my childrens to school . . i am
                                facing many problems these days . :-(

                                HOPE, you would understand the problem & hand over ACTIVA to me as
                                soon as possible .

                                  Dear Honda Team,

                                  I bought my Shine on[protected], And from first serviceing I am not satiesfied with the service with the service centers what you are certfied as your service centers. One of the worst service center is JSP I found. because It is nearer to me. As per my understading they don't read the manual what you are given with the vehicle. and they don't know how to set the valve clearance..and the importance of that. In Technical specification you have specified that the clearance has to be chek with feeler gauge.. mean how much importance is there you know as a designer as well as techincal person..but these pople are doing without feeler gauge...they are checking...
                                  In manual you specified for engine idle speed 1400±100 ..and adjust with tacho meter...but these people won't do. If we say engine is stopping when it is idle condition, then they increase the engine speed...and not check with tacho meter...

                                  If you want to become good service provider...it is better to check periodically with your person..how your authorised service centers doing service..

                                  This is not only my observation...this is all your customer observation...

                                  You Know that When you Satiesfies your customer then only they can trust and you can withstand...

                                    Myself VIjayanand N Suryawanshi, I am Living in City- CHalisgaon, Dist - Jalgaon, State - Maharashtra.
                                    Sir I am a handicaped person, age 31 years "

                                    I purchased Honda Activa from Chalisgaon Dealer " Ram Honda- Jalgaon ' ( Prabhanjan Automobiles- Jalgaon) on 7 dec 2006... this is my second "HOnda ACtiva".

                                    SIr my complaints is that After purchasing "Honda Activa", within warranty period my "Honda Activa's BLOCK PISTAN" GOT DAMAGED, at that time though My two wheelers was in warrenty period the dealers " RAM HONDA _ JALGAON " refused to change that part with free of cost and that time he charged full cost of That "BLOCK PISTAN" . I have the bills of that trasaction " at that time The service was not upto the mark, as I purchased HONDA ACTIVA by the name of HONDA.
                                    But the dealers gave me lot of tension, harrasement, mental strain by giving my scooter back by taking more than one months.

                                    now since after changing that parts now its 6 Jan 2009, few days ago I gave my scooter for servicing and now today my dealers told me that " BLOCK PISTAN" IS DAMAGED AGAIN and he want me to pay full amount of that " BLOCK PISTAN" .

                                    Sir Since changing first " BLOCK PISTAN", its only six months overs"

                                    moreover the dealers without giving the necessary information in right way, he is using bad words also.

                                    How can I pay full amount by changing " BLOCK PISTAN" every time after six months.


                                    I suffer a lot by purchasing HONDA ACTIVA,

                                    Because of this my family is also disturbed so as I and also my work...


                                    With this mail and complaints I want you to take the necessary action on this.

                                    plz take the proper action on this ...

                                    I hope you understand my problem and will give me a proper solutions.


                                    I am awaiting for ur reply ... though u have called me... I told u the details but after that I have not found any prgress also from your side.

                                    Today I went to dealers and he told me that company don't give the guarrenty of any parts ...and all that.


                                    Now tell me what should I do.
                                    I called you to your office in Gurgao but nobody pick my phone...




                                    Plz help me.

                                    I Book Honda Activa at Nagpur in your dealer TAJ SHREE HONDA Deo Nagar Nagpur
                                    Booking No. P-2668 Dated 25/08/2009 but till the date dealer not delivered. The dealer promise me at the time of booking i.g. delivered vehicle me on DASHAHARA FESTIVAL.
                                    Please take nessesary action for delivered vehicle or give me exting date for delivered.
