Dear sir
My mother in law mrs swarn kaur was travelling from melbourne to singapore and singapore to delhi flight of jet airways on 19th nov. After getting down at delhi airport the baggage of mrs swarn kaur was missing and airlines people said this is common thing and keeps happening, the baggage was delivered at my place after 2 days and it was opened by airlines people and few things were stolen by them and few were damaged and used by the airlines, please find the list below the missing items from packed baggage, now jet airways is giving excuse that this is not their responsibility. Kindly help me

1) sweat top of my daughter - approx 32 aus dollar
2) sweat tshirt with hood (Myself)- approx 69 aus dollar
3) addidas track pant (Myself) - approx 75 aus dollar
4) puma shoes (Myself) - approx 109 aus dollar
5) ferrari red spray - approx 24.99 aus dollar
6) medicines were opened and crushed badly with a value of rs 2122/
7) show pieces and idol - approx 70 aus dollar

Few other small items which was opened from the packet tored and used and again kept in the packet.

:refer mail communication with jet airways till now and after 10 days they have said that that this is not their liability,

Thanks for the early reply which took 10 days to investigate and come out with excuse of your negligence.

First of all how someone will pick anyone’s luggage and if the same is picked by another passenger in that case this is liability of airlines to call the passenger and inform about the mistake and collect the bag immediately than what was the reason it took 2 days to recover and deliver to my address.
I don’t have any habit of putting baseless claim of my missed items.

What is the assurance and proof you have that the things were damaged during transit from melbourne to singapore and singapore to delhi. How do u check without opening the bag and give assurance that the things were damaged in transit.

The lock was not that durable and i believe that it can be opened from some sharp material without key. It was well opened few clothes and shoes stolen from the bag by the airlines. Details of stolen things already mentioned in earlier mails. Few cosmetics used and kept inside. I have already seen could of pics and video how airlines people baggage team do thorough investigation of your packed baggage and than lock in the same manner.

The lock was opened in front of the delivery boy and even without inserting the key and it was just pulled and got opened. The articles which was lost and stolen by airlines was immediately reported to him and even mentioned on delivery challan.

This is the way how airlines are working now a days and doing unethical and malpractices.

Please let me know the status of my lost items and compensation of damage and lost items or i have take it legally and publish the same through media, social media and take it forward through national consumer commission.

Early response and action on lost and stolen and damaged items are highly appreciated.

We regret to note the inconvenience caused to you with regard to your checked in bag when you travelled by flight 9w17 dated november 19, 2018.

Mrs. Kaur, please note that the check in bag had arrived on the same flight, however your bag was erroneously picked up by another guest, for which our airport team tried contacting the guest but was unable to connect.

We have completed a detailed enquiry with the security and airport management teams at singapore and delhi airports, regrettably, the enquiries with the individual staff involved could not establish any irregularity in our operations, with the baggage handling or reported loss of article. Also as mentioned in your email, bag was handed over in locked condition. We hope you will appreciate, keeping in mind the circumstances and in the absence of any evidence, it will be difficult to apportion blame on any individual or assume the liability for this loss.

In the absence of any evidence, we trust you will appreciate our position and predicament to apportion blame to any individual. May we also assure you that if any of our staff found indulging in any unethical practice, serious disciplinary action is taken internally.

With regards to issue of the damaged contents, through our disclaimers we request all our guest to pack the contents to withstand the air travel. By air travel, we mean that the bag goes through the automated baggage handling system tunnels and manual handling while loading and unloading the bags in the aircraft. While the fragile tags keep our manual workforce on an alert to handle the bags with care, the fragile items are also required to be adequately packed and buffered, so that the fragile articles can bear the impact of automated baggage handling system and movement in the aircraft hold while take-off and landing.

With the above update we are not disregarding our responsibility but would like to inform you that airlines liability in such cases is limited.

We once again sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused during your travel from singapore to mumbai and hope you understand this delay in reuniting the bag was beyond the control jet airways.

Jet Airways customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
1. All complaints regarding damaged bagage shall be submitted to the airline not later than 7 days following the flight arrival.
2. The complainst related to robery is a competence of the airport police office, not of the airline.
3. The airline has limit of responsibility based on ICAO convention and Indian (other country ) law.
4. The submitter has not provided:-
- e- ticket,
- bag tag,
- reply of the air carrier on the complaint.

All disputed related to property is a competenc eof the court.
It is a problematic to apply to the court for the compensation without a paid service of lawer or of legal professional in the civil aviation .

    Hi,

    My name is chinthamani soniya.
    This month i had booked my tickets from bangalore to mumbai. While doing payment from my my bank account amount of 734rs got deducted on november 10th, 2018, but didn't get any ticket confirmation.
    I contacted your customer care about this they asked me to contact bank people but bank people are asked me to contact your people as payment was successful.
    Nobody is taking action on this.
    Please check and intimate my refund.

      I received this email on 24 aug 2018 i am yet to receive a refund despite at least 10 reminders the reference ids will help you check the whole story. Kindly help me with my refund there is a reason why jet airways is going bankrupt as you do not even have the courtesy to answer queries by platinum members, let alone solve them. I have given an extremely negative review of the airline in a recent feedback mail i received and i will ensure that everyone reviews this airline negatively the amount in question is not a small amount kindly attend to this as early as possible

        I am travelling to kathmandu with my wife and daughter on[protected] by flight no. 9w 250 departing mumbai 7.55 am.
        Passenger name : deepak shah
        My wife : rupal shah
        My daughter : hetvi shah (Minor 16 years)
        I am informed that i should carry either passport or voter id card as id proof and my daughter will have to carry college i card issued to her as id
        I am not having passport or voters id card but have aadhar card
        My wife is having passport and my daughter is having college i card and aadhar card.
        I went and met duty manager at mumbai airport and showed him a valid document of bureau of immigration of indian government clearly mentioning what identity documents an indian passenger should carry with himself while travelling to nepal / bhutan
        The same can be viewed online at :

        Identity documents required for indian citizen going to / coming from nepal by air : -
        (I) valid national passport
        (Ii) photo identity card issued by the govt. Of india/state govt./ut administration in india to their employees or election id card issued by election commission of india.
        (Iii) emergency certificate issued by embassy of india, kathmandu
        (Iv) identity certificate issued by embassy of india, khatmandu
        (V) person in age group of above 65 years and below 15 years would be exempted from the requirement of approved identity documents mentioned in sl no. (I), (Ii), (Iii) and (Iv) however they must have some document with photograph confirming their age and identity such as pancard driving liecense cghs card ration card etc
        (Vi) childeren between the age group of 15 to 18 years may be allowed to travel between india and nepal on the strength of identity certificate issued by principal of the school in prescribed format.
        (Vii) in case of family (Family means husband wife minor childeren and parents) travelling together. The approved identification documents at sl. No. (I), (Ii), (Iii) and (Iv) would not be insisted from all the family members if one of the adult member in the family has in possession of one of the prescribed identification document at sl no. (I), (Ii), (Iii) and (Iv). However other family members have some proof of their id with photograph and their relationship as a family viz cghs card, ration card, driving liecense, id card issued by school college etc.
        Note : 1. Aadhar (Uid) card is not acceptable travel document for travel to nepal / bhutan except for cases mentioned at sl no. (V) and (Vii)

        From above point no. (Vii) it can be easily seen that goverment has made provisions for cases of people like me where one of the family member has valid id card as per the norms and others can travel with them even on aadhar card.
        Either the staff at the airport is not made aware of the new list of documents or they are just following what they are taught years back.

        Now kindly let me know why jet airways is not considering this options because of which i have to suffer a lot.

          I had purchased ticket to Ktm via delhi at Mumbai airport on Nov 11 2018 .
          Total Fare of ticket was amounted to 15143A but the person at the ticket counter charged me different amount of INR16928 stating as Form of payment-A/c 16928 in ticket, which came to notice to me lateron.
          I had paid INR 16928 in cash as per the cashier in ticket counter who directed to pay me the same amount.
          Because of that now when I was claiming for the reimbursement from my company they are not ready to reimburse the amount of 16928 which I paid for the reason that the amount of ticket is not the same.
          Can u please help me with what my actual ticket price was .

            Actually they can't conduct personal interview, for personal interview we require a airport gatepass, for that gatepass and uniform courier charges 10100 collected at last then they never send POD details and all

                I am a regular traveler domestically and internationally.

                On 21st november i was on the delhi to kolkata flight 9w901, 6.30 pm and seated on the emergency exit seat.

                The overhead cabin was full and i had a handbag on my lap.. An air hostess came and took the handbag from me saying as per rules nothing should be kept with the passenger specially on these seats.

                I gave the handbag innocently and to my later regret. Two hours and twenty minutes later on my way out i was given back my handbag and it had been kept in isolation and not along with the other bags which had been collected ffrom the passengers. I found this odd at the time but dismissed the thought

                On reaching home and opening my bag i found did rs. 50, 000 missing. Its been a few days since the incident and after much thought and investigation i have concluded that the only time my bag left my person was when the air hostess took it away from me.

                Losing 50, 000 of my hard earned money is pain full and i plan to take this up strongly and with appropriate authorities including social media. The cc footage will confirm this theft.

                With the cost cutting and salary cuts among the staff of jet airways the crew is now desperate to steal from passengers too.

                Please revert 0n this asap.

                  Yesterday i. E. 24/11/2018 i was journey on your flight from delhi to guwahati vide flight no - 9w 0171 (Details mentioned in below attachment).
                  Sir, when i land at guwahati airport & collect my journey bag then instantly i can found that my journey bag was totally damage like broken of trolley stand, carrying belt... And then i was inform your authority staff who were on duty at that time... But their justification is not satisfied for me...

                  So, sir you say is it the well service from your good airlines???

                    I am a jet airways privilege card holder no[protected]. I was travelling business class from punr to delhi on 25 nov 2018 by 9w0786i.
                    I travelled to pune airport from outstation but was surprised as no lounge facility was made available. On being requested no refreshment facility was offered at the booking counter.

                    Please note in convenience caused to outstation passengers. If lounge is closed the airline should make alternate lunch or refreshment facilities, else you will loose your customers.

                      Very poor service by your manager at jet airways dubai airport for flight 9w543. Behaved worse than an intern and left me embarrassed in front of other guests. This review will be posted on social media as i am a loyal customer of your airlines and never expected to be treated this way. They were running out of plastic tags to lock bags for the first time and simply told me it's out of stock. He raised his voice at me and refused to make eye contact. This behaviour was worse than a peon in a government office. Your staff does not know to talk to ladies. I am not travelling for free, i have paid money. I do not expect to be treated like this. He refused to share his name and wrote your contact email on piece of paper that looked as if it was torn our of a child's rough book. It's the last time i'm using you'd services. Horrible and will not recommend. Please make your survey more friendly to submit and why are there so many codes???

                        My husband has just travelled to kerala via jet airways flight but this time he had to travel in economy class, he is a constant traveller on this flight, he has medical issues. As travel bag weighted 10 kg so we had to send it in luggage at the check in counter,
                        I am very very upset to say that all his money was stolen, but the purse was kept back. Please if you could please check with the people on duty at that time it would be very helpful.

                          Under what manner of ethics is an airline allowed to make over 4 changes to flights on the same pnr and then say something like 'you are allowed to change once foc or get full refund.' an airline seems to have the right to mess up our vacation plans completely and then when you request their understanding to reduce the damage, they throw and hide behind rules. What kind of rule is that?

                          Ladies and gentlemen at jet airways: my upcoming vacation to assam in december with my family stands compromised due to frequent change of your flight schedules. May i request you to read the below details with an attempt to ‘understand’ me and my problem and not with an attempt to ‘respond’ to me with standard replies. You see, there is a difference between listening to understand and listening to respond. May i expect this of you? I have tried this with your call centre, but i have failed to elicit their understanding.

                          Pnr uyribu : you have changed your flights four or more times for this pnr, with multiple miss-connections. This was shocking. Finally, i went to your city office in pune and sat down with your officer to fix this to our convenience about 3 weeks back. So far, this has not changed any further.
                          Pnrs okkbkh and ryayve: flights on both these pnrs have changed multiple times from your end. During my visit to the city office, we requested a change to make sure there is no miss-connections.
                          Pnr sxlayf : once again multiple changes from your end. The last change came about 2 days back, and this has really messed up everything, even after our visit to your city office.

                          Okkbkh, ryayve and sxlayf are different pnrs for 5 passengers from my family traveling back from guwahati to pune on jan 4. When we had originally booked, sxlayf was kolkata to pune and the other 2 were guwahati to pune. This was because we could get better priced tickets through a different airline in the gau-ccu sector on jan 4, which dovetailed with sxlayf. The idea was that the entire family would travel together in the ccu-pnq, as it would be easier late in the night with our senior citizen mother and two young kids. Now as things stand, and with the latest change from your side on sxlayf, there appears to be no possibility of traveling together in the 2nd leg of the journey. It is nearly impossible for my wife to manage my senior citizen mother and our younger daughter through the longish journey and landing in the middle of the night with bags. I need to be together.

                          Now, i am aware that you have standard rules and regulations and you cannot do certain things according to them. However i am asking you to try and understand our predicament and do something special. We do understand that jet airways is going through trying times, and you have curtained flights; however you must understand that when you make 4 changes to your flights on the same pnr and then tell your customer that ‘i am allowed one free change only’, it sounds almost hilarious and ironic at the same time. So, please try and understand. Here is what i am requesting.

                          Please change all the flights in all the 3 pnrs (Okkbkh, ryayve and sxlayf) to 9w 363 (Gau-pnq). This flight seems to have been launched about a week back or so, as this did not come up as a choice when i visited your city office. Yes, i understand you have a problem with sxlayf in doing this; but i request you to kindly consider this as a special case. Once you do this, i will cancel the gau-ccu sector in the other airline. Please understand our problem and looking forward to your understanding and action. If you choose to give your standard response of your rules and regulations, please do not even bother to respond.

                              We 3 students booked tickets to and fro to delhi through online and got charged double than what it is now.
                              We thought, earliest we book less the cost was the system following in jet airways and now, we lost our hard earned money through overtime and part time job we do while studying. Hope if you do a refund or a compensatory action, in any sort it would be a great help.
                              Our co passengers would enjoy the same benefits at half the price made me and my friends feel guilty and hence messaged.
                              I hope your airline will do the needful to make your passengers happy and feel good.

                                I got a call from delhi telling as calling from delhi international airport you cv is selected for jet airways as ground staff. They took lots of money around 28000rupees.3 round interviews
                                Online test, call interview, face to face.
                                Online test 2000. Certificate verification 7500 and health insurance 18500 that have taken. Agai they are asking more money for training and bank account. Person name of informer is akash mehera and hr. Samar shrivastava. At nevember 2018.. I received all letter and joining date. They attendinge me for 3rd round interview. Because they kept me on hold to pay money first.. I can't understand how to believe and what to do. But please jet airways department please be alert those who r giving fraud job and insulting name of jet airways company who are doing fraudulent..                                 It has come to our notice that certain unscrupulous individuals/placement agencies, falsely claiming to be employees of Jet Airways (India) Limited/Jet Lite (India) Limited or our authorized recruitment agencies are sending out false emails and forged Appointment letters with forged signatures purporting to be from Jet Airways India Limited and or its group companies. The emails are enticing and misleading job aspirants. These fraudulent individuals/agencies use our trademarks and demand money by way of fees, charges, travel expense etc. from aspiring candidates for securing employment with us.
                                The emails ask the candidates to appear for a face-to-face interview for a job opening with Jet Airways and to deposit a certain amount as a refundable/non-refundable interview security in a designated bank account. These emails are erroneously stated to be from the HR Department of Jet Airways and may carry the Designation/ ID or domain name of Jet Airways (or a deceptively similar name) to make it look authentic. We as an organization are taking appropriate steps to tackle the issue.

                                We wish to notify that we do not demand or charge any fee/charges from the aspiring candidates for considering their candidature or at any time during the recruitment process, nor have we authorised any individual, agency or firm for recruiting candidates for us.
                                Please note that we bear no responsibility for amounts being deposited/withdrawn from such emails.

                                Any person seeking employment with Jet Airways or Jet Lite or its group companies needs to be cautious and not trust any agency or individual, claiming to be our representative, and charging fees for providing/securing employment with us.

                                  The worse services i have ever seen in my entire life. I have been wasting my time for the last 3 days just to make a new booking and one cancellation but nobody is cooperating and the most rediculous thing is no even a single staff avaliable on the floor. Continuously 3 days server down with such a renowned company is a rediculous thing. And if a customer wanted to make a cancel before an hour and nobody presence on the floor then who will taking up the responsibilty of such circumstances. Kindly make necessary action on this matter.

                                    My husband and i flew to mumbai on the 10th of november. The cabin crew were excellent but the rest of the experience flying jet air was horrendous. We sat in 43 j and k. The tray was broken and no headphones worked. The passengers in front fully reclined and when asked to move forward they wouldn’t. The passengers behind would not allow us to recline. Again the steward explained what was happening with the front passengers but they didn’t want us to recline. The flight crew tried their best for us but to no avail. There is not enough room on this plane to have these seats fully reclined and if you have very selfish passengers who don’t care about the passengers behind what can anyone do.
                                    The flight was delayed so we missed our flight to goa so we lost a day of our holiday and it was very stressful at the check in as we weren’t given our boarding passes for mumbai to goa at heathrow this caused a lot stresss and confusion as well. We were exhausted after the dreadful flight.
                                    We never complain and accept things as they are and are grateful as it could always be worse.
                                    This flight was really unpleasant and we are dreading the flight back.
                                    We want compensation to make up for the terrible flight...

                                      9w 237 arrived at 12.20 am on 16th nov 18 my mrs was waiting for wheelchair for more than 2 hrs at 2.15 men brought wheelchair & not allowing to seat non airline staff or airport authorities staff were ready to help almost all staff left in half hrs since she was handicapped she felt giddiness fell down some senior passer by help me check out.                                         I have travelled in your airlines for return trip of delhi - chennai - delhi 28.09.2018 / 29.09.2018 vide pnr no. Iayenv, e ticket no.[protected] fligts no. 9w 821 (Del-maa) & 9w 740 (Maa-del).

                                        We have booked tickets through makemytrip (We do it regularly) with quoting our gst details properly (Reflected on invoice of makemytrip)

                                        We at all times gets invoice from airlines directly in to our email apart from invoice from makemytrip for their charges.

                                        But to our surprise we have not received the gst invoice for jet airways for above travel till now. While contacting to jet airways on their customer care, they asked for charges of rs 250/- for issuing the invoice and plainly refused to issue invoice without that.

                                        Even on your gst portal, the report does not show any data.

                                        Being a ca, i know that for every transaction with gst no quoted, every registered entity is required to issue a gst invoice compulsorily & non issuance of the same is a punishable offence.

                                        If still jet airways chooses to not issue the invoice even now, i will be forced to take the matter to gst authorities for such practice of jet airways.
