Dear Sir,

LIC is Public Sector Unit and it is still with-holding crores of rupees of the policies which could not be continued for contractual period and they have made mandatory clause that the residual amount of premium shall be forfeited. When policy holder can not derive any benefit such as bonus, claims, loan and other withdrawals, then it is essentially possible for them to make an arrangement for refund of the amount of policies after the maturity period.

Corporation may be asked by Ministry concerned or IRDA to make public announcement to make an arrangement to refund of deposited amount by deducting permissible administrative expenses for maintaining records either to policy holder or to their nominees. It is not very much difficult for them to trace the addresses and location after giving public announcement.

Will LIC show business ethics to refund the amount payable to their policy holders? It will be great public cause if they do so!

Insurance is contract between 2 parties, one the insurer and the insured. When the insured fail to pay the instalment premiums when due, the policy becomes partially paid. As per the standard rules of business, if the policy has been funded with continuous 3 years' instalment premiums, it gets paid up value till the first unpaid premium. The insured can again recommence the policy by paying arrears of instalment and interest, if any within the stipulated period. Or otherwise it remains as partially paid up and can be surrendered by application from the insured or otherwise it becomes payable by the insurer as on the date of completion of policy term.

Hence the insured should take care whether to continue the premium payment or not. If he decide to not to continue the payement can take surrender value or keep the insured updated regarding his whatabouts so as to facilitate the insurer to send the paid value as on stipulated date. Usually insurer doesn't make any fault in paying the claim.

    In July 2009 I have requested for a term insurance plan of Rs. 25 lacs vide my proposal no. 4368 through your 12 H satellite branch at Rohini, sector 11, New Delhi. For which I have already paid the required premium in the month of July 2009 itself. But till date I have not received the FPR or any status of my policy. Request you to look into the matter urgently and issue the FPR and policy bond.

      I had taken a policy under Jiwan Saral scheme vide policy no[protected] on dated 28/10/2009 through agent code no 93418124,DO.CD.120511,branch code no.124,& payment Rs.1021/-permonth through ECS from my Canara Bank Shastri Nagar branch saving account no[protected] on 28th of every month. I am surprised to see my bank statement the amount transfer from my account Rs 1021/-twice per month.ie Rs 1021+1021 in the month of Novemer as well as in the month of December also without any information. On contract to my bank I am informed by my Bank they transfer the amount as per instruction recieved from LIC.The matter informed to agent regularly but not any positive respose recieved.
      Hence I would request to your goodselves kindly look in the matter & arrange reembrusse the Excess deducted amountRs.2042/-with intrest without further delay.

        Online premium payment portal not working

        Dear Sir,
        Life insurance corporation of India's portal for online premium payment is not working fine.
        It is giving the error message that 'Server is too busy' evertime whenever I used to log-in.
        When I am trying to call their customer care it always give me a message you are in queue that is why not able to log a complain in customer care.
        I am complaining against the online premium payment service...

        LIC Jeevan anand scheme — they had no pay the claim

        my father is expired on 24 feb 2007 by accidently.
        but lic is not paid the claim b'coz of they take out fault that u had not describe diabitish desease on proposal form

        LICI — misguided at the time of death claim

        This is complaint on behalf of policy no[protected]Lakhi prava hazarika ) who expired on 10/4/2009 but the office staf MR Jatin CH das of LICI of maligaon branch who asked for repayment of loan of RS 26000/ for clearing the loan amount after the demise of applicant and premium of hole year around 9000 as said loan amount is given to him but for more than one month it was not deposited, after continous asking the money receipt of loan amount finally return the amount. Now threatning to cancell the claim to my wife, she is nominee of the policy. Kindly look into, such service may create quiosk to the client .

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        I have taken a below mentioned policy with the name of my wife. Now i have been aware that as per law wife's insured value can't be more than 50% of husbands insured value in case she house wife. As now i have already paid three premium. so, i just want to know that, on which basis my policy would have been accepted by branch where i have not been entimated regarding this rule that time. If this would have been done worngly then, is any legal way to recover my already paid premium amt. Can i go for any legal action ? My wife a housewife.

        sir, there is no such law. as per general practice, a housewife cannot be given more insurance than her husband as there is moral hazards. but if a husband has sufficient income, he can take insurance equal to his own income. so, don't worry and continue your policies. also if an insurance is accepted by lic on your correct statement, lic will honour it till final payment made to you under the said policy. just try not to forget the payment as it become due..

        Request for inquiry into the cheating and non-payment of Survival Benefit. on
        LIC Policy No.[protected] under salary savings scheme, employee o[censored]nited India Insurance Company, Grv Dept, HO, United India Ins Co, Chennai-14

        I am an ex-employee of Grievance Dept, Head Office, United India Insurance Co Ltd, 24 Whites Road, Chennai-600014. After one year, I got an information from LIC, Vada Palani Branch, Chennai-17 that a LIC Policy matured amount is due to be paid and asked me to sign the discharge voucher. Hence, I went about one month back and signed the discharge voucher. At that time a Lady employee after checking my policy details in the Computer informed me that about 37, 256/- amount will be paid to you through cheque after adjusting the loan. She asked me to write the address in the discharge voucher for dispatch of cheque within a week.

        After one week, I phoned up to the LIC Vadapalani Branch . One gentleman attended the phone and handed over to concerned employee to attend to me. I was holding the phone for about 10 minutes; after that the concerned lady employee attended the phone. I informed that I was holding the phone for the last 10 minutes thus having phone call expense for me as well as blocking other customer’s call to your office. SHE BECAME ANGRY AND TOLD ME THAT “I WAS BUSY IN ANOTHER CALL FOR THE PAST 10 MINUTES. YOU DON’T TELL ALL THESE THINGS TO ME.” Then she asked my policy No after checking she told me that “we are busy in annual closing and hence it would take more time to send you the Cheque.”

        Today,[protected], I phoned up and asked the position of my cheque dispatch. Lady employee asked me the Policy No and after checking she told “Your loan amount and Survival Benefit is adjusted” and suddenly discontinued the telephone.

        Here from the earlier incident of delay to attend the telephone; I feel that lady employee had kept in her mind hence, intentionally and to show her power to me; foul played in my LIC Account and closed the balance to Zero. It is very much certain she derelicted in her duty while informing me that balance money would be sent later or while making my account zero and hence, HIGH LEVEL INQUIRY MAY BE ORDERED AND SUITABLE DISCIPLINARY ACTION MAY BE TAKEN AGAINST THE LADY EMPLOYEE; IF WILFULLY DONE SO TO MAKE MY ACCOUNT ZERO AGAINST THE RULES AND REGULATIONS AND LASTLY FOR DOING AGAINST HER CONSCIENCE. I was feeling that her attitude in replying to me was very impolite and commanding in nature which in a civil office is not expected to be. I was also an employee o[censored]nited Insurance Company and such the way of replying to a customer is not palatable and should be corrected by deploying her to some other department where direct dealing of public customer is not there. Suitable training may also be arranged to correct such natured employees/staff in LIC of India to attend telephone immediately and talk gently to the customers either in person or in phone.

        Kindly confirm me the receipt of this application and action taken to recheck my LIC Policy Survival Benefit account position along with the disciplinary action taken against the concerned staff.

        Insurance Ombudsman - Kindly enquire into the circumstances under which the survival
        (LIC Cases) Benefit had become zero suddenly. It means while telling me
        Nandanam in the beginning, employee had not checked the account
        Chennai-600017 properly or a foul play had been done due to subsequent
        Events.

We have submitted all documents including all investigation reports for claiming above policy number in the month of September 2010.

        But till now we have not yet received any further information from Vikarabad Branch.

        I am a house wife, We had three daughters and one son, they are studying and we are belonging to “ST” category. We don’t have any further income to serve for my family.

        This is Gaurav Jaiin and i am very upset with your Policy Agent.


        Actually I had received a call from Your Delhi office. Your agent (Sameer Malhotra - Mobil No:[protected] on behalf of Anil Chhatwal, agent no 95294311. Hno 26/17 GF, East Patel Nagar, New Delhi ), told me that regarding one policy (Jeevan Saral). It is a good policy but I had already (Jeevan Anand) policy.


        According to him, he will surrender my old policy(Jeevan Anand policy no .[protected] with 1, 35000 Rs) and he will apply new policy(Jeevan Saral).
        Both policy premium is more than 25000 per year so I can't continue both policies. So please Cancel my New policy (Jeevan Saral) ASAP.


        You agent misguided me and because of that I ma having trouble paying premium of either of the policies. Moreover your agent is not picking up my phone and also not corresponding to any communication attempt made by me. Please take some action so that from next time no other customer can be harassed.

WHICH NOT ONLY CREATE BAD IMPRESSION BUT ALSO DETERIORATE THE IMAGE AS WELL AS ATTRACTION TOWARDS PRIVATE INSURANCE COMPANIES.         Dear sir,
        I have taken jeevan rakshak lic policy on the name of my cousin brother shankar lal shivlal mali bearing policy no.[protected] issued by branch no. 92 A mumbai.
        The policy was issued in the month of August 2015.But life or death is in the hand of god...and as such due to an heart failure my cousin brother died in the month of September 2015.After which I tried to filed a death claim for the same in which I face a lot of difficulties to file the claim.
        Lic branch at vashi refused to accept the papers directly and harassed everytime demanding for more and more papers stating because of early death claim.But I want to know that is it in my hand to stop the death or so.My lic agent here n there visited the lic head office at vashi many times to submit the claim but they refused again.
        So finally we decided to send the claim application papers by post and we succeeded in the same.After which months were passed and there was no answer in writing or on phone call by them.Finally by luck we got the number of head or senior officer while calling on 1251 after which the matter got into limelight and the vashi branch was forced to take action and as a result they forwarded the papers to thane lic main branch.
        Now we have been fade up of the procedure and the time taken by the lic department to settle the claim and as such I lodge a complaint for the same in this complaint forum.
        I also want to bring to ur knowledge that after my cousin's death there is no one responsible person left behind who can handle the claim procedure.Policy holder is left survived by his wife and a son who is 11 years old who is not capable or so intelligent that can run behind for this lengthy procedure.
        On behalf of this forum I will like to know the status of my cousin's policy no. Mentioned above.
        ALSO PLEASE BRING INTO LIME LIGHT HOW LIC AND ITS STAFF ARE DOING THEIR JOB TO HARASS PEOPLES.

          These LIC money plus guys (the insurance agent) approached us and forcebly made us opt for a policy for 25000 on three members and 10000 on two members.
          and said that we can lock in the policy once after the completion of Three years. Now when i approached the Insurace company at Kamaraj Road (Frazer Town) Near Padmini Products Bangalore, the lazy useless officials there behave in such rude manner when you ask them something. They neither respond to us in a polite manner. The Cash counter Lady and few other lazy officials sit their only to chat their family related stories. And once when we distract them they fowl upon us. Such impatient and uncivilized way of behaving with customers when we ask them doubts.
          The Insurance agents are more than the officials. Before opting for the policy they reminded us every now and then but later on They changed their mobile No's and donot respond to our calls if we call up their land line No's.
          When we directly approach the office at Kamaraj road to ask the details regarding the Insurace agent or details of the policy these lazy ones (who draw salary just to chat their family related issues) fowl upon the customers.
          Inspite of the Big queue waiting there for payment these cash counter ladies act so lethargic and never respond to the customers greivience. I will also take up the matter to where ever and see to that such ill mannered officials are out of the LIC office

            I have a policy in your insurance company . My policy no is[protected].at Contai Branch(W.B.)This policy is money back system.. After 5 Years my policy return amount is Rs-10000/-(Ten Thousand). Contai Branch was issue a cheque of AXIS bank (contai Branch). Cheque No is 210306, dated on 28/12/09. But this cheque return due to signature not matching in this LIC account.

            So, I am facing a problem this cheque. Kindly feed back as soon as possible.

Because I have paid 08/2008 premium through agent but he has not confirmed whether he has deposited the same or not. So many time I have asked him but negetive response. Due to my transfer to meerut, here LIC Office said they can't tell any thing about my policy you have to contanct from where you have took your policy, it is wrong, being a soldier we are not permanent at a place. Please look at my case and mail me my policy statement and status of policy.

              Please also let me know on complition of Rs 30000/- can I deposit more amount in above policy or stop. Also related benefits.

                i have taken loan to purchase a flat from Lic housing finance ltdm.my loan a/c no is[protected]
                now i repaid all my loan amount on 24/11/09 but til date i have not

                received my original loan file.and for that i am getting very heavy

                loses. its too much delay .pl halp.

                The Local regional manager of Triupathi division is biased with the agent, and all the all the mischif things are happening with processing my home loan application,
                They are not ready to process my application for 8.5% interest instead they are biasing it to 12.5%.
                Its Really hell with this guys all this are managed by A person name Sheshagiri rao Instaed he is not an employee but he rules the office in tirupathi.

                      I had surrendered my policy Lic Market Plus at LIC of India, Ambala Cantt Haryana
                      on 21.12.2009. I was informed by Mr. Narinder Kumar Verma, Admn Officer that i
                      will be issued my cheque on 23.12.2009 . Accordingly, I went to LIC of india office
                      on 25.12.09 or 26.12.2009 to have my cheque issued. I was again told by Mr. Verma
                      that my cheque is not ready. Thereafter, I again went to Lic of India on 4.01.10 to
                      take my cheque from Mr. Narinder Kumar Verma, Admn Officer at Ambala Cantt.
                      Mr. Verma misbehaved and kept me waiting for half an hour and attended other
                      Customers who came after me. Even after my repeated requests, he refused to
                      me my cheque and told me to come after 2:00 P.M. It is matter of great regret and
                      surprise that i am not issued my cheque even after lapse of 14 days from the date
                      of surrender of my policy. Mr. Verma did not even bother to check that whether my
                      cheque is ready or not, and just told me to come after 2:00 P.M. for the third time
                      to take my cheque.

                      I join LIC profit plus policy (Plan No 188) in year 2007. I submitted its 3 payments in 2007-08 and 2009 as informed by my agent. My Policy no is[protected]. Now After couple of years i want to know the status of my policy and found that my policy is break. I just shocked how it is, as i submitted all 3 payments regularly. I did not got any intimation either by company or by my agent that my policy is going to break. I'm very disappoint with this thing. I want to continue my policy, Please guide me.

                          Dear Sir,

                          We took a loan of Rs.6800000.00 (Rupees Sixty eight lacs only) from LIC Housing Finance Ltd. LOAN A/C. NO.[protected] in March 2007. now we paid them 750000.00 (Rupees Seven lacs fifty thousand only) in November 2009 in addition to normal EMI they have charged 2% as pre-payment penalty. Now we want this loan to be taken over by Bank of Maharashtra as BOM interest rate is 8.5% and LIC housing finance rate of interest is 10.50%. LIC Housing saying that they will charge 2% as pre-payment penalty on take over amount. We requested you to intervene and save our pre-payment penalty.

                                Respected sir, i have not received my 2nd installament cheque so far which was due in the month of october 2008.After serval enquires made from city branch-II, basheerabagh, hyderabad. I came to know that the cheque has been issued. But i have not received the cheque so far. so my request you to do some needfull at the earliest and release my 2nd installament cheque at the earliest with interest for the delayed period. I was unable to understand how the account payee cheque can credited into another account being an account payee cheque. Being my self policy holder, i have not received the cheque so far. But i came to know that the cheque has been enchased in andhra bank at khammam branch. i am staying in visakhapatnam. The cheque has been encashed by the unknown person. How is it possible to encash the cheque being an account payee. Sir kindly solve this problem at the earliest and issue my cheque.                                 Today I tried three times to pay my premium theough online bur web page was not opening previosly i paid the premium online several times but today there is a problem so kindly help me in this regard

I have paid the premium amount to my agent but he didnot deposited the premium for last year. sir how can i extend my policy. please give the status of my policy and remedies to continue my policy.

                                I have remitted half yearly premium of Rs.1620/- towards my policy No.[protected] on 14/6/09 but the same has not yet been credited against my policy. The amount has already deducted from my Savings account immediately after remittance and now shows transferred to LIC.

Till now i have not seen any credit in my account.

                                  Hi I joined an LIC Policy (#[protected] named jeevan surabhi 25 years term with sum assured of Rs.12 Lakh. After one year I found that I am not able to continue with the huge premium to be paid as my income stopped all of a sudden. So I was forced to reduce the sum assured to Rs.2 Lakh and the subsequent premium too got reduced.Hereafter I will get the benefit for the 2 Lakh only.

                                  Now my concern is regarding the extra money that I paid for the premiums at the first year. I asked all the concerned authorities regarding the same but none is giving me a clear reply. I am really worried about my money. Please Help.

First Time I Gave the Premium amount the Agent Mr Nageswar Rao Tunga Next Year I could not paid the premium. But Last year I gave Rs 20.000/- to the Agent to words the Pending and current premium But Till Now he did not Give any receipt To Me Along with this letter I am giving his no[protected] Kindly look in to the matter and do the need ful

                                    I have taken Profit plus policy on 1st of Jan 2008 when i was in mumbai. Recently i have transfered to my native place chennai .

                                    I am much shocked to say that Either From my Insurance agent or lic , Policy document is not reached till today to home address(which mentioned in the policy).Also, I have not received any bill for Last 1.5 years but i am paying correctly through ECS scheme .

                                    So, I have decided that i will not pay premium until I get Policy document for my safer side .
