I would like to convey some really grave issue I am having with my car – a July 2013 Skoda Rapid Diesel – From the first, the AC have been giving trouble. During the compressor cut off, it used to trip and start pushing in outside air. Everytime I was told we have done flushing, cleaning, top-up, recirculation, etc. etc. The problem still stays. Interestingly I have been told that AC tripping is a standard safety feature on the car. Is it a standard safety feature ? I reported a particular problem in my car that the AC trips and the recirculation vent keeps on opening and closing by itself and this causes ineffective air conditioning & foul smells entering into the car. Since then my car has be called to the Coimbatore (millennium motors) Service station at least 6-7 times in a period of 10 months and 2 times in a month at Erode (S7 cars) service station. But still the problem is not been solved. What can be done for solving this problem?     I own a SKODA RAPID for last 2 years. Write from the beginning i am complaining about a TAK TAK sound and shivering comes from the steering column when it rides on an uneven road. There were no solution from SKODA till now and they are not even bothered to call back check whether issue is resolved or not, they just need the money from customer. Really repenting on my decision to buy SKODA

    The car is in service centre for 20 days and it is still there. Dont know what to do. Service centre is saying the SKODA engineers need to come and check, dont know when those things will happen.

    Would you be able to help in how to go about the consumer court process? In India the customer does not have any value once the product is sold. Need to take them to the court.

      Siliguri service centre closed abruptly without any prior information. I bought very expensive car since service was available. Have complained many times no response . Jia auto must send service mobile to siliguri.very sad skoda is not interfering.

        Dear Sir, I have not given any terms and condition to study before I left my car - Skoda Fabia - TN07BM-1793 at Gurudev motors @ Vadapalini (saligramam)for removing the accidental dent at the rear. The estimation was 76, 731.59(INR) which seems to be quite high for the damage, when i further asked with them they reduced the price to 40, 000(INR), nearly 50% flat dip. I have been cheated in two instance first is they charged 1000 (INR) for the bill estimation which was not anywhere or I have not been explained for the heavy money and the second is projecting a heavy money and dipping it. If I wouldn't asked they would have charged to 76, 731.59 (INR). Please take necessary action. And I need the compensation for atleast 1000 (INR) which they charged without any reason.         Just thought of owning a skoda rapid 1.5 TDI Ambition 2018 Model. But after seeing such pathetic after sales service I have changed my mind.

        Also there should be an written confirmation from customer to his/her satisfaction level to close this complaint, but skoda India had just given a basic reply to

        customer complaint and closed the complaint in this consumer portal.

        No peace of mind I guess after purchasing Skoda!

          I have been in touch with Skoda customer care email id with above concern number. Dealer after being pushed by Skoda has a green to raise some warranty replacements. I am hoping they get approved and in quick time. I still have a bigger issue; when my car visits a particular service station about 7 times for running repairs and insurance claim repairs; my car is reported for not doing first free service. Since last 15 months the car visited workshop; what did those guys do? Not even once we were told that service is due ! Last week when I went to workshop personally for my problems I found out there is no service record! However there is all the repair and insurance claims reports. How pathetic I don't get my free service but only the paid stuff record! Are you guys at Skoda listening! A customer who paid for your car didn't get a device call but his car came to the same workshop about 7 times and now the workshop says my timelines for free service is gone. I have to pay for it!!! This is no customer service. Every car company and dealers ensure customers don't miss their service in fact nano and alto cars get better service! Why are we paying a premium for Skoda cars! Just for safety and brand ! Obliviously service has to come! I hope you get this fixed. Nimish

            i have purchased skoda yeti from speed auto, Raipur. in the month of january 2012. i have kept my car in a well maintained codition. timely servicing done, and in these 2 years 4 months my car has run 54000 kms only. before a week as i was driving my car got break down suddenly . on complaint people from showroom came and checked my vehicle, towed it to showroom, wherein fault was of timing belt, which got slipped out due to which engine valves and other mechanical faults occured on engine head. and estimate was given to me of rs. 90000 as cost of repairing, as skoda provides warranty for two years they said that nothing can be done, but the fault occured due to defect of the timing belt, which is company's fault as timely servicings has been done and if there was a problem, they should have checked. i request skoda to please give me a claim for the same, i cannot spend so much. please do something. thanking you. pradeep goyal mob - [protected], [protected] skoda yeti CG04FF1111

              dear sir/madam, Ibought skoda yeti and bought it from Jia Auto Sales Siliguri, in the year 2010 since it also had a service centre. Suddenly Jia auto closed few days back.Now a lot of the north bengal, sikkim and guwhati customers e are having serious problem because of this. How can skoda allow its service centre to be closed on the whims and fancy of a dealer. Doesn't Skoda care about its customers. I have called 3-4 times no repsonse. Skoda transfer or shifts responsibility to Jia Kolkatta who say take appointment and come to Kolkatta as if Kolkatta is next door. thanks if you guys can help.                 Absence of lock opening system in any of the doors from the inside of the car in case a person a locked inside and the key is outside.(or accident take place and the power get cut off or fuse blow off) infect there is neither a provision of any alert system such as a signal. also the horn doesn't work from inside which is a very very serious issue. New Skoda Octavia 2013 model.

                  Dear All Please careful while dealing with Vinayak Skoda in Marathahalli Bangalore. Most of my friends advised not to go with this dealer due to their bad experience. My bad luck . I have booked Skoda Rapid on 19/11/2013( Payment Receipt No. 483, VCPL/SALES/0004 TIN No: [protected] ) . Due to personal reason i had to cancell my booking. After many many follow up also they are not ready to give back the balance amount (after the cancellation charge) . Almost 6 months now.                     I would like to convey some really grave issue I am having with my car – a December 2011 Skoda Rapid Diesel – Air-conditioning : From the first summer season, the AC have been giving trouble. It used to trip and start pushing in outside air. At several occasions, it resulted in heating up of car. Everytime I was told we have done flushing, cleaning, top-up, recirculation, etc. etc. The problem still stays. Interestingly I have been told that AC tripping is a standard safety feature on the car when it occurred first by your Pune Office. Though after a while it disappeared and then re-appeared. I have got emails which says so. Is it a standard safety feature ? Engine : Due to heating up, while checking for the coolant levels, I noticed murkiness and oiliness in the coolant box several times. Everytime was told its due to dust and all and we have flushed and fixed it. Finally last year there was a major issue of oil and coolant getting mixed and due to which the base engine was changed. Not sure if the problem has been fixed finally. Power Windows : The cars power windows getting stuck from day one. Everytime its put on a scanner, some settings done. Problem still stays. Car Pulling Left : From day one again, the car keeps pulling to left. Everytime I complained, I am being told – this is an issue with these tyres and the car. Problem stays. Seat Structure : I complained many a times about the stiffness of the seats. I was told there is some replacement to be done in this car. Though for last one year the dealers don’t have the required parts in inventory. Recently there has been an issue of water pump leakage which in turn ruined a couple of other parts. I reported a particular problem in my car in the Month of April 2012 (First Summer Season) that the AC trips and the recirculation vent keeps on opening and closing by itself andthis causes ineffective air conditioning & foul smells entering into the car. Since then my car has be called to the Delhi Service station at least 6-7 times in a period of 3 months. Every time I was told a new story like the motor getting heated up, or problem with internal wiring, or problem in wheel teeth settings and what not. The L2 technical department kept asking for logs and videos as I have been told and guided the dealership to resolve the issue. The flying doctors inspected the cards. Even the OEM vendors inspected the car. My car was literally taken apart which led to various other problems such as dashboard rattling, continuous flow of outside air in the car due to ill fitting by mechanics, completely ruined air conditioning and internal décor with grease and dust. After this, the usual trend of the car is that it goes for a issue for one day, problem resolved, comes back, then again goes for 2 days for same problem, then for a week and then something major happens and then its gone for 15-20 days. Its been happening for last 3 years and I am so tired of this cycle. It raises deep concerns about the engineering of the car as if it has been put on the roads for customers to test and then fix the problems.

                      This complaint is regarding my Skoda Superb with reg. no. MP 09 MZ 9000 .
                      since last 15 (Fifteen) days my Car (No. MP09MZ9000) is lying at SATGURU MOTORS (P) Ltd. due to the coolant issue.
                      they told me that they don't have the part and have to order.i told them to order the part as it was the manufacturing fault and i told them to replace at goodwill base.i sent 12-15 mails ...i use to send 2-3 mails on regular basis but i am sorry to say i have never seen such an un professional company in the automobile industry...they replied me once saying that they have forwarded my complaint to the concern department and after that they didn't even replied me once ...i kept on sending mails but there was no answer...
                      the story doesn't ends here ...i even called them on the toll free number and every time i call they use to say the same thing that they have forwarded my complaint to the higher authority and they may get back to you soon ...but as i said they were so careless and casually taking the issue as i have purchased a soft toy or chocolate from them ...
                      anyways now i don't expect anything because its our fault ..WE SHOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED A SKODA CAR ...

                        I lodged an compliant on 19.04.14 because there was problem in my clutch plate and brake down in Gangapur city on 18.4.14 . then your employee take over the car from Gangapur on 19.4.14 and give us back on 29.4.14 . then after riding 20 km smell was flown in car.then we again complaint on 30.4.14 then we again send car to service center on 2.5.14 cause there was holiday on 1.5.14 . and I didn't get yet any satisfaction response from your dealer . I am very disappointed by buying your car cause you have already taken 17 days to change the only clutch plate and after 17 days problem again arises and they didn't come up with any solution of the problem yet . Your service is worst out of all the companies in the market. I have already compliant on your toll free number and they too didn't response us yet . Please try to solve our problem as soon as possible .

                          In the first 2 months only, the car has started heating up & so called Skoda technicians couldnt arrest the problem. They had replaced the whole engine. But the situation never changed & now some other problem has started. When asked for replacement of full car, they claim it to be under warranty & hence all parts can be replaced. Only tyres are now left to be replaced & fortunately the make is of Apollo so they are still running. Had it been from Sooda im sure they would have had been replaced by now. Its quite unfortunate that Sudhir Rao as India Skoda head is ok with all these feedbacks. He is not worth being at that position. If Skoda wants to sustain in India for long, its high time the leadership is changed & some one really xhange the customer experience under his/ her realms. Hefty pay checks to head is not taking Skoda India anywhere

                            Hi Team,


                            I am writing this email as a final step before I decide to kill the vehicle forever. I’m really dissatisfied with the kind of service done.


                            I own a 2010 Skoda Fabia Ambient and recently got it serviced at your Reay Road workshop. The service didn’t even last for more than 12 hours and even after repeated messages to the engineer I don’t receive any reply. I have to follow up all the time


                            The car has some problem which no 1 is able to rectify. This is being happening since 1.5 years. Every now and then I face an EPC error with the car. Check the history of the vehicle and you’ll realize that I’ve always been spending money at your workshop for something or the other.


                            Least is the responsibility taken by your service engineers and store managers


                            I’m so very pissed with the car and the company that I really want to get rid of the car and want all the money back that I own


                            Before giving the car (1 day back) I was told by the engineer that yes there will be some issue however no one cares to educate the customer that the car will not work at all and that is the only solution. In the past 2 services when the estimate was given the same was not highlighted until the story is completely bad.


                            The last 2 estimates spoke about rear shock absorbers & this week’s estimates dosen’t talk about this. What kind of car check do you do


                            Please help and resolve this. Help means – take the car and give me my money back … I hate this brand

                              I purchased this car in June/2011, the AC never worked properly, just 1 month back they replaced the coil for which car was with nawab motors for about a month,

                              After I received the car I found a new problem, it vibrates when I start the car in the morning for about 4-5 km, and becomes smooth after some time,

                              I went back to Nawab Motors, They says that clutch need to be replaced

                              My car is under warranty up to 2015, Nawab motors says that it is not covered under warranty,

                              I am not able to understand with auto gear Car how the clutch can fail in just 40000 km run, there seems to be a manufacturing defects and company should rectify this

                                Dear Team,
                                This is Kumar Nachiketa from Bangalore, I own a Skoda Fabia Ambiente 1.2 MPI purchased in Sep 2009 from Tafe Access, run ~34000 Km. My car has always been serviced regularly. I recently gave my car to Vinayaka
                                workshop for a problem experienced (Engine vibration when idle). As a result of two days of verification and Skoda technical team's feedback, my car is found with an issue with engine compression ratio. It's told that only way to fix the issue is to go for engine overhaul (Cost 2.5 lac). It was also suggested to me to run this car for aprox. 2
                                years and then go for engine overhaul without any assurance of engine. I am absolutely surprised and shocked with such result and after keeping vehicle carefully. People at workshop said they can't help in such cases
                                as car is out of warranty. Service engineer also mentioned that this is common problem and there might be chances of having manufacturing defect in 1.2 MPI engine, since some other car reported with this issue.
                                It's unfortunate for a buyer like me who goes for SKODA due to it's brand value and anticipate vehicle to be durable, stable and worry-free.

                                I fear to continue with the vehicle and engine problem for next two years. I strongly feel it should be SKODA's responsibility to fix the engine problem. By any industry standard I have never heard or seen engine compression problem for a 34000 Km run maintained car.

                                I have been following up with SKODA customer care with following reference -
                                Concern No: SPL45925 Veh Regn No: KA03ML5052. So far, I haven't got a positive response and still awaiting for the reply from manufacturer for last 11 days.

                                  I am filling complaint against SKODA Auto India Private Limited. I have online booked skoda Octavia on 24/12/2013 paid Rs. 5000.00 by credit card. Due to poor customer services and also no response to the customer. I have canceled the booking on January 2014, and purchased the Hyundai fludic verna 1.6 CRDI SX (o). When I have cancelled booking and claim for the refund of my Rs. 5000.00 called 5 times to SKODA Auto India Private Limited customer care support center with in January and February month. But each and every time they are giving me false commitment and I have yet to be received my money.                                     I write to you today to convey my utter annoyance and concern at the matter in which we are being cheated and bothered by Autobahn Skoda Service Center. Its ridiculous and disappointing and thoroughly disturbing. • We bought Skoda Laura in April 2012 along with extended warranty as well. But it all seems to be in vain with such non-transparent system and process of skoda. First of all inspite of being very regular with servicing the car breaks down on 3rd of feb 2014 in the middle of the road. On contacting, the so called 24 hours service numbers, none of them got connected and we were without any help for atleast an hour or two after that. However we caught hold of breakdown engineer & somehow towed and sent to service center. • After a week long analysis and survey on the vehicle, they mentioned about some metal particles being found in filter and quoted around 4 lakhs for parts change etc.. They mentioned that since the vehicle being under warranty, it should ideally be covered under warranty by the company. • After repeated follow-up 1st with Mr Kabir, then Mr Standford, I was told that Skoda is taking time in approving the warranty as they are mentioning fluid adulteration. They committed that they will ensure that the car is fixed within warranty due to the fact that services and repair has been done Autobahn Kurla workshop only. • After repeated assurance of fixing the car under warranty till 18th Feb, we stopped getting any feedback from Skoda. On 18th Feb, I got introduced to Mr Shekhar who also assured that let us not hurry up the matter as it is in delicate balance and they are expected a confirmation from Skoda with 2 days. • During the period (3rd to 17th Feb), we were promised by Mr Kabir on either 12th that we will receive a spare car by 17th Feb. Mr Kabir became unavailable from 17th Feb and we got in contact with Mr Stanford and then Mr Shekhar, in-charge of Autobahn Kurla Workshop and he denied any provision of Spare Car. • After repeated arguement Mr Shekhar committed looking into the matter himself and he committed to resolve the matter in 2 days. • On 20th Feb, we were not able to reach Mr Stanford after repeated calling from my side. I called the Workshop and I was transfer to Mr Samadhan who informed us that we have to bear 20% of the charges for no in detail explanation of anything else. I asked him to provide the information in written mail to us, and he said he would do that by 20th Feb. No mail was send to us and when I contact back to him, he asked me to come down to workshop to sign something as he doesn’t have the authority to send anything official to us. We informed him categorically that nothing will be signed by us until a written mail is provided on the discussion. No communication from Mr Samadhan till 22nd Feb, so I visited Skoda workshop on 22nd Feb again and I meet only Mr Samadhan as Mr Shekhar wasn’t available. Mr Samadhan informed that the case was been send back to Skoda for 100% reimbursement as the car is under warranty. We were given a committment of resolution by 24th Feb 2014 12:30pm. • On 24thFeb, we couldn’t get hold of anybody for hours starting 2:00pm. Mr Samadhan called around 5pm to tell us no approval for work under warranty and to talk to Mr Shekhar. I had been trying to reach Mr Samadhan all afternoon and his phone wa s busy all the time.When my husband called it went thru without any problem and we requested him to drop us an email which he committed to be delivered by 24th Feb evening. I attempted to call him again and it was still not reachable so it seems my number has been blocked by Mr Shekhar. Thus this kind of change in face of service engineers(kabir to stanford to samadhan) or missing and absconding employees(kabir) or so called the GM of the service center(Shekhar) blocking our number to avoid our calls. That is where we smell something fishy as some straight forward questions like, whom should we speak to in Skoda !, gets no reply or questions like why only 80% amount approved!, gets no reply from them. Its been three weeks later and still my vehicle not fixed by the service center, nor been given any spare vehicle to use neither a concrete response from so called high positioned employees. And besides, the customer care numbers are just not reachable and having mailed them, the query gets diverted to service center itself. In a separte note, we are having a pathetic & poor quality experience with Skoda Customcare number [protected]. We had registered a complain with about the above problem on 20th Feb 2014 12:39pm and we got mail that they are looking into the matter and the Ref # is SPL45890. When my husband called on 21st Feb to get some update, he told that the mail has been send to the concerned team and the customer service had no clue who the concerned team was but the supposed concerned team will get back to us in 48 hours which was Saturday evening. We got no call on Saturday and when my husband called back on 24th Feb to get update, he informed that no update initially (Jiten Vasu). After forcing to give update, he updated us the information which was provided by Skoda Autobahn. Interestingly, I was told by Customercare that the dealer/ workshop are different so they need update from them and Autobahn workshop people mentioned that Skoda is making the call on the repair under warranty. On 24th Feb, I was told by Mr Jiten that they have raised the matter again with the Skoda concerned team and they will get back to me. The customercare is a useless service provided by Skoda. Even earlier in a similar incident 6 months ago, where again our vehicle was towed they had the same kind of reactions and they made a lakh from us for fixing the vehicle stating that cant be covered under warranty. All of which makes me believe that your employees are comfortably cushioned by the company so that no fault of theirs gets either reported to or escalated to the concerned head office officials. I am writing to you expecting some resolution at the earliest, clarification with regard to fixing of my vehicle, drive your attention into flawed systems existing in skoda, service centers fooling customers outrightly blaming it all on the brand ‘SKODA’.

                                    I write to you today to convey my utter annoyance and concern at the matter in which we are being cheated and looted by Autobahn Skoda Service Center. Its ridiculous and disappointing and thoroughly disturbing. I drove my car in absolute running condition to the Autobahn service center at Jogeshwari with over heating complaint. They just kept giving false promises to get it repaired in 1 day, as and when I call them. Surprisingly they took one month to start repairing with replacement of water pump which was causing heating problem.

                                    Shockingly, after a month, I get a call from Autobahn, that as soon as they replaced the water pump and started car and tested for about 2 km, timing belt was broken and main pulley was damaged and now even after replacing the belt, engine would not start. This was absolutely their mistake in workshop which caused problem. They called me and started blaming me that belt was damaged before it came to workshop and they need my approval to open the engine to repair it. I was totally shocked to hear about it as I handed over the car in very much running condition. They assured me to get it done with minimum charges and asked me to pay it, even if it was not my fault. Trusting their words and assurance that it will be done under Rs. 10000/- (As told me by SA), I gave approval to open the engine to check the damages and repair it.

                                    As if, That is not enough, to my surprise, they sent me estimate of Rs. 1, 85, 000 to repair the engine for not my fault and also asked me to wait for atleast 15 days more as parts are not available in stock.

                                    Would you trust this organization again ? Would you go to this service center to get your expensive car damaged ? Would you even deal with the people who don't believe in any service or value for customer ?

                                      I purchased the Skoda Superb Automatic in Dec. 2010. It has been 3 years and 2 months since the purchase, the car has run 50000 kms. and there have been some or the other problem due to which a lot of time, money and energy have been wasted. My driver was going to drop my kid to his school when suddenly the car broke down. My kid was stranded on the roads for more than an hour until alternate arrangements could be made. The car was sent to the service station where i am told that some part called Mechatron is not working properly and this would cost about Rs.2.25Lacs i.e. approx. 10% of the total cost of car. The car is under 2+2 yr. extended warranty and i am told that this part is not covered in the extended warranty. This has happened the second time in the past 3 years. Why are we fooled even while buying the luxury cars from reputed companies paying the price and then told the things are not covered in the warranty. The car is now standing at the service centre with no resolution and i am stranded without a vehicle. The similar problem is there with the sunroof wherein the part was told to be changed under warranty once but within six months the same problem has appeared again. It seems that the so called authorized workshops don't replace the part but just repair it and make it work in order to stretch some time. My car has always gone only to one workshop ever since its purchase. I strongly feel that any new part would not create problems in such a short period of time if installed correctly.                                         had bought a new car on 24th November 2013, got gear shifting knob defective, steering defective, facing lots of problem with air condition, had been facing lot of problem with service center after sending car to them for more then 3 times in 2 months. still no response from them and they are just fooling around with all stupid excuses .
                                        Yes I agree With you ... Even I had given my Car for Servicing ... Apart from Normal servicing...
                                        I have AC issue but they charged 3500 for AC servicing... and also 1000 rs for Some Discleamation I dont remeber exact word ... also Charged 1000 for Cowl Cleaning... When I checked nothing was done...
                                        Added Charges for Engine Waxing... When I checked Nothing done... When I start checking each item one by as per maintanance Check listed in check list ... They charged 1000 Rs for Condensor cleaing .. but Since I know I just check condensor and I found that even the dust was not removed from it...
                                        Then One by one I start checking all Items... and the service advisor was got scared... he went away .. get some mchanics and started asking him...before that he just gave me bill asked me to pay and told me that car is ready...

                                        You wont believe, When I start checking each item... and shown him the status of things done for which he charged me ... started reducing the amount ... and he reduced 3000 from My ... my total bill was around 14000 and he reduced it to 11000
                                        So I just imagined whatever they charged was faked .. they have not done anything... only thing is that I could not prove it .. My Ac is still having same issue ... They loot us ... VEry oor and bad service... please dont go for it ...

                                        Since I have to move out of town next day for long trip... and after coming was settled down in pune for 4 months, I could not check... and could not took any action against that ...

                                        Dont go to JMD Bhandup.. They are not genuine... I had a very bad Expirience with them .. They will just try to add up any labour charges in your bill. I can show u my bill how they chetated me .. Since i have to go to family outing and i was out of town for alomost 6 month after this, i could not do anything

                                        I gave my car for Servicing...
                                        They charged Cowl Cleaning - 1000
                                        They Charged Condensor Cleaning - 1000
                                        They Charged ENGINE Waxing - 1000
                                        They Charged Ac Servicing - 3500

                                        After I got delivery I check all things as Per check list given .. and I m surprized. They have not done anything ...

                                        I my self open bonnet and ask them where is engine waxing, and the adviser went missing for some time and come back after 10 mins with some service personal and start sponging engine with some oily thing and was telling me doing waxing it is missed..

                                        When I told I will not pay for this He afterward removed 1000 rs for Waxing from bill

                                        Again I checked AC Condensor there was still lot of dust and I shown him that dust I asked him how he clean it and done ac servicing ... He gave me some answers and again went missing and start shouting on labour that did not did it ..

                                        And again he remove 1000 for Condensor cleaning from total Bill

                                        Same story for Cowl Cleaning ...

                                        that guy removed 3000 rupees from Bill when started checking all items billed for me immidiately ... What if i had not checked all things ... u can understand if they were genuine they had not removed 3000 .. they knew nobody notices this things ...

                                        Before giving car for servicing check online cost and ask same..

                                        I am doubt that they have changed Engine oil and Filters or not and also AC servicing also.. These SKODA JMD Bhandup are Cheaters ... I have exp. so be aware...

                                        So I suggest dont go to Bhandup .. They just loot you ...
                                        i[censored] are going prepare and check everything ...

                                        The receptionist and Service Advisor both divert you .. I for got the name of that guy... I will check my bill and update..
