Hi,

I have purchased air ticket from spice jet airlines, but due to some reason i have cancelled it.
Instead of returning my money they send me a mail that ...

Any amount remaining from your original booking after the change or cancellation fee is applied, it will be kept in a customer credit for 1-year from the date of cancellation. That customer credit can be used by quoting the above Reservation Number. Customer credits, if any, can be used towards any future SpiceJet Booking. Please contact our SpiceJet's 24-Hour Guest Sales & Reservation Centers at [protected] or [protected] if you have any questions about this Booking.

It means if i ll not travel by spice jet in future my money will go in their pocket. What the hell is this.
They should refund my amount immediately i don't want to travel by spice jet any more. And i don't need any credit for future.

They are cheating customers.
Please do something

    Title : Spice Jet
    Complaint Id : 8718
Complaint: The issue is: I had booked one Spice Jet Air ticket as under- Reservation Number: X5BWDB Booking Date : 06 March 2006 Guest Name : JASVIRSINGH BUNAIT *This ticket was cancelled well on time and as per their policy, the amount of Rs. 600/- was deducted and the balance amount was kept reserve with them against my wish. *On demanding this balance amount, they have informed me that "We would like to inform you that as mentioned earlier, the amount of Rs.770.00, which was placed in the credit shell, under the above mentioned PNR, has been forfeited by the company" vide their email msg. dated 19th August 2008. *How can they forfeit balance amount lying with them when they have already charged cancellation amt.? *It is good that my case is for only one ticket. if it would have been for more, Spice Jet would have forfeited my huge balance amount. I have my own doubt that "Spice Jet" might have made lot of money like this.
Please take up the matter seriously.
    Regards,

I haven't travelled by spicejet. I booked my first ticket a few days back but I had to cancel my programme. But I cannot cancel my ticket in the real sense. Apart from the fact that they will deduct 750 from the fare the balance will also be not refunded but kept with them that too for only one year. They must be making good profit through these 'transactions'.

        Dear Sir/Madam,
I have done the booking with spice jet from PUNE TO BAGDOGRA, date of travelling 05 apr 09, passanger name is MISS POONAM KATE, mobile no is [protected], Defense id no is 754339 and email id is [protected]@yahoo.com . The above booking is done twice with same details and with two different SBI net banking accounts. In both the cases an error is shown on spice jet site as “some data base error or too many users on server” and transaction ref is given as[protected] when the booking is done from SBI ACCOUNT NO[protected] LONI BRANCH (MAH) and transaction ref is given as[protected] when the booking is done from SBI ACCOUNT NO[protected] BUND GARDEN BRANCH PUNE. However our bank accounts has been debited with RS 2649/- and RS 2749/- respectively and no PNR NO is generated in both cases.
I have also raised the complaint with your customer representative with complaint no 33032 dt 04 apr 09. The pdf files of both above SBI accounts statements have been attached for your ready reference. (check last transactions of both account statements) Your are kindly requested to refund the above amount at the earliest. I am travelling with spice jet very frequently (you can check your data base) and faced this kind o[censored]npleasant experience first time. This experience compels me to think twice before making booking with spice jet, forget about travelling.

I am really surprised to see how these people treat their customers.

Just to provide few details regarding the incidence:

          1) reached airport 8:00 a.m
          2) Bought UDF tickets at 8:17 a.m
          3) Entered airport immediately
          4) Reschedule the tickets at 8:44 a.m even before the schedule flight could take off

As I have paid the bill through my card and still got the receipt with me.

There were no spice jet employees asking us to enter the airport premises at 8:00 a.m.

We had one spice jet employee on the Boarding counter telling us two different things at different time and just wasting our time. First he said that our Baggage cannot be checked him. For this we told him that we are ready to receive the Baggage by the evening flight also, if possible. Then he called some one and discussed with him for 3-4 mins. Then finally he told us that we both cannot check in. I told him that I have a connecting flight to Varanasi from Spice jet at 2:30 p.m so if only one could travel and the other will reschedule the flight for evening then he again called discussed and then told us that both o[censored]s cannot travel at any cost.

This all drama got over at 8:27-8:28 a.m.

We have had no other option left except to look out for other earliest flight. Then we went to Spice jet Booking Counter and asked her for other possible solution. she asked us to reschedule the flight for evening-Delhi and next day-Varanasi. We asked her if we could cancel the flight and get our money back but she refused saying that money cannot be refunded. Then we had no other option left except to reschedule the flight for Delhi in evening and Varanasi-next day.

We got our tickets reschedule at 8:44 a.m. i have the receipt showing exact time.

They had over booked the flight and gave our seat to some one else that is the only reason they did not allow us to board the flight.

i asked them to refund the money we have spent extra is rescheduling the flight or give equivalent amount of coupons which can be redeemed in some time but they refused.

I was going to join my family for my engagement that day.

Bad start for such a important day in my life.

              Hello,

I’m a frequent flier of Spicejet. But I’m sorry to say that I’m regretting for choosing Spicejet for my travel and in future I don’t intend to do so.

The reason - I’ve been getting atleast 2-3 calls from State Bank of India credit card executives telling me that Spicejet has some collaboration with SBI which would give 50% discount if I take SBI card. I am fed up of getting these calls everyday. Why the hell Spicejet has given my cell number to SBI executives without my consent? This is violation of my privacy. I want Spicejet to take necessary action immediately to stop these calls from SBI executives.

You mean to say, SBI is offering 50% discount on tickets if booked on SBI cards.
I wouldn't losing my privacy to get this kind of discount.

We travelled by Spice Jet flight no: 321 from Chennai to Kolkata on 10.2.2009, having seats 8E & 8F and bought one SUDOKU GAME from the on-flight shop, BUT THE GAME-SET IS NOT WORKING, 50% OF THE DIGITS CANNOT BE SEEN OR NOT FULLY DISPLAYED.I AM AT A LOSS, THERE WERE NO CHANCE THAT I COULD CHECK THE PRODUCT ON-BOARD BECAUSE THE BATTERY IS NOT SUPPLIED WITH THE SET, I DID NOT EXPECT TO GET SUCH A FAULTY AND UN TESTED PRODUCT FROM SPICEJET.PLEASE HELP. THE BILL DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOW PRODUCT- YOYO SUDOKU BILL DATE & TIME- 10.2.09 AT 12:23:10 SHIFT NO: 02 PALMTEC:[protected] BILL AMOUNT-450.00.
In response Spice Jet sent me a mail(attached below the full correspondence) requesting me to send the product by courier to Delhi, but my Question is why I have to take so much pain to rectify their fault? why cannot they send me a tested piece and get the faulty one from my address? Why the things are not properly tested before selling as the buyers are flying from different location of the Globe it is always not possible for one to take so much paint to complaint and get the things replaced? the customer should have right to test the goods before buying hence sealed items(which cannot be opened without tearing or cutting the seal) should not be selling on board. I strongly ask Spice Jet to send me a working piece of the same good and collect the faulty piece from my address only. This is not only for my personal trouble but also for protecting and establishing one's consumer rights.

She told me that it will be sent to the aircraft. When i reached the aircraft the airhosstess told me its in the baggage i can get it on arrival. When i reached vizag i didnt get my duty free bag . I contained 4 bottles of very expensive perfume. I emailed spice jet righ away. They just dont care for their customers.
They helped me in no way. Just a reply saying its not with them.. THIEVES. THATS ALL COMES TO MY MIND .

I agree with you totally. And I think if there is ever a flight taking off, they put in passengers who are willing to fly with them last minute and pocketing the huge cash they get from such passengers and for the ones that are booked to fly, they are denying them their right to board the flight by giving some excuses or the other and calling it "NO SHOW" even though the passenger is there at the check in counter well before time. These flights has a history of delays and cancellations and despite having this great reputation, they have the audicity to tell passengers they are late and call it "NO SHOW". That no show suits SPICEJET VERY WELL as it is always 'NO SHOW' no matter which time of the year it is, which time of the day it is, from which part of the world it is!

SpiceJet service is the most moronic service that I have ever seen.

A word of advise to my fellow travelers. SpiceJet is a cheat. I am quite sure that they have put this 30 minutes or money gone policy so that they can allot seats of those passengers who are even 5 minutes late, to other passengers at higher cost thus, getting a double fare for one seat.

I was supposed to board the plane to Bangalore from Pune at 6.45 am. I was standing at the spice jet booking line for almost 10 minutes before they told me that the booking for Bangalore had already closed at 6.35, and there was nothing that they could do. How is that possible? I was standing in the line from 6.20 to 6.35 and there was no announcement of any sort. Along with me there were two other passengers who were denied entry for the same reasons.

Even if we were late according to the company policy, we came at least 20 minutes in advance if not 30 minutes according to the company rules. The person at the desk started arguing on why were late, and wasted at least 5 - 10 minutes, after which all three o[censored]s convinced her to call up someone from the aircraft. The aircraft personnel told her that it was too late now, if only she had called up 10 minutes earlier something could have been managed!!!

I wasted in total 10 minutes ( in the line ) + 10 minutes ( in arguing ) after my arrival at 6.20 ( well in advance ) only to be denied entry. On top of it, i had booked a round ticket so my trip from Bangalore to Pune was also wasted. I lost almost Rs 6000 for absolutely no fault of mine!!

The SpiceJet staff is completely useless and know only how to state " Sir/Ma'm, we are sorry we can't help you", repeatedly. I have not faced such problems in any other airline. Infact, I have come 5 to 10 minutes before boarding and issued the boarding pass immediately.

                    Avoid this hopeless airline!!

I only wish I had read this comment before I booked on Spicejet. I shall never again fly Spicejet. They are so customer unfriendly that it isn't funny. My wife and I completely agree that Spicejet is the worst possible airline imaginable. Let me tell you about our nightmare.

We had booked on SG528 from Bangalore to Kolkata on 1 May 2009. While booking on the Net there was an option to pay for our breakfast in advance and we chose this option requesting for one veg and one non-veg sandwich.

We assumed the sandwiches would come shortly after take off. The flight took off and after a little while I realised that the air hostesses had passed us by without bothering to serve us the sandwiches we had ordered and paid for. When my wife called her the air hostess coolly told us that all the sandwiches were sold. There was just one veg sandwich left and even that had been sold to some other passenger. My wife pointed out that we had already paid for the breakfast and that one veg sandwich should be served to her. Having extracted this we then asked the airhostess for the nonveg sandwich. She said they were out of nonveg sandwiches. We asked her how they could be "out of " nonveg sandwiches when the passengers who had paid for them had not yet been served. She had no answer to this. We then asked her to give us in writing that they had not been able to serve us the nonveg sandwich for which we had paid in advance. She said she would not give this in writing. We cried ourselves hoarse but to no avail. A little while later she brought a gentleman who we learnt was the First Officer. This gentleman turned out to be no better. He would not give us in writing that Spicejet had not carried enough sandwiches to serve even the passengers who had already paid for them. Seeing that we would have no proof in case we complained about this my wife decided to record the conversation with the First Officer and the air hostess. The First Officer showed his true Spicejet colours and said that the police would meet us at Kolkata airport.

Shock of shocks the police did meet us at the airport and in a Kafkaesque scene we were made to listen to the European Captain lecturing us on how we should not have disrupted the flight and that it was a serious matter.. No apologies whatsoever for their mistake of not serving the passengers who had paid first. Not a word about why the airhostess could not give us in writing that they were not able to serve us the breakfast which we had paid for.

This is the last time we are flying Spicejet.
SPICE JET PLANE MAY BE GOOD BUT ITS POLICY AND AGENTS ARE BIG CROOK. I have been cheated by spice jet stating late. There was other 9 passengers who faced the same problem. This happen on 5th december 2010 flight from kathmandu to delhi. I asked spice jet agent if our ticket is sold or we are not registered, they deny to show the board list too and advised us to claim re-fund where we bought ticket. but to my surprise when we claim in office at zenith travel they politely reject to refund whole amount including taxes. This company have website but do not have contact address, phone, email. http://www.zenithtravels.biz/contactus.php So all I want to tell people to be careful of this kind of trouble.

I travelled by SpiceJet on Jan.6, 2009 Flight No.SG - 106 (PNR No. GWE3CS) from Ahmedabad to Delhi. I checked in one baggage (No.0151434). On arrival at Delhi, I was waiting for collection of my baggage when I had to urgently go to the toilet. When I returned after a few minutes, the conveyor was empty and I did not find my baggage. When I complained to SpiceJet ground staff, they told me that most probably my baggage was, by mistake, loaded on to another destination SpiceJet flight taking off around the same time of my flight. Till today (Jan.9, 2009), my baggage has not been found. My SpiceJet Baggage Irregularity Report No. is 10809.

I have learnt that there is a racket going on at Delhi Domestic Arrival Terminal whereby if a passenger is late in collecting the baggage, it is taken off the conveyor by some unscrupulous people and just taken out the Arrival Terminal. This cannot happen without the connivance of airline ground staff. This is quite a serious state of affair and needs to be properly investigated.

I got the booking done using my SBI account No [protected] using internet. The bank branch is Airport Guwahati Branch. In the middle of the transaction, the server got down and the booking was not confirmed. However, my account got debited by Rs 5850/-. The transaction Id given by the bank is IG 04764416. When I checked up from the customer care, the booking was not complete. Perforce, I had to do the booking again using my HDFC Credit card. Now, an amount of Rs 5850/ has been transferred to spicejet from my SBI account. I registered a case with the spicejet through the internet. The case no is 27143/2008. On 19 Dec, when I spoke to the costumer care executive, I was assured that the refund had been processed on 19 Dec 08 and it would take 5 days to get in my account. Till date, I have not received any refund from the spicejet. Moreover, whenever, I contacted the costumer care, they put me on long hold and lastly disconnected the phone.

Spice Jet — Non return of refund

I had purchased, a ticket for my family members (3 ), on-line from Chennai to Hyderabad . Due to change in the program, I had to cancel in advance the ticket and the same is done with their airport office . They gave me a refund coupon for around 60% of fare and asked me to avil the benefit, during next travel. But when I approached for refund or plan for my next trip, they put me in surprise telling that the period is expired and am not entitled for any refund. They never intimated this to me . Atleast in refund voucher they should have mentioned the expiry date . How Can I get the benefit now. Iam totally shaken by this, as Iam loosing almost Rs 6500/-( total ticket value) on account of not trvelling . Can some body help me in getting either refund or Travel voucher for next journey.

I, Gaurav Bammi was unfortunate to travel by Spice jet on the 14th of December of 2008.

I along with my family traveled from Pune to Delhi on the 14th of Dec. through flight no. SG212 and reached Delhi at 5.15 p.m.

During my flight to Delhi, I even wrote a suggestion form, in which I had the same review that the ground staff is not courteous enough to help. Till this time I was not aware that my bag would get damaged.

When we reached the baggage collection area, I discovered that my Bag (checked in luggage) was damaged.

When I approached the service desk, a staff named Neelam was only interested in avoiding me saying that I cannot claim anything for this damage.

My bag is brand Dunhill (Pictures attached) and I cannot afford to leave this without a proper action.

Today morning someone called me with a similar message, "Sir you cannot get a claim for such damages" and she was so confirmed as if the bag is lying in front of her and she knows what the damage is.

I am most annoyed about the way the ground staff is prepared to get rid of any problem.

All this experience means a customer cannot ask for a claim unless the whole bag literally "Burns to ashes".

I sincerely would expect an urgent action in this matter.

                            Thanks

                            Gaurav.

Respected Sir, I have also same issue. My luggage was damaged in flight during loading/unloading but SpiceJet give poor response.

What steps you had taken ?

I also want to fight because it's airlines responsibility to keep safe customer luggage.

I travelled on Spicejet flight SG 219 from New Delhi to Pune on 29th October, 2008. On flight, all the passengers were given a discount coupon each valid for travel in the month of November 2008. When I tried to make the booking, their customer care says that my coupon has expired because the booking was supposed to be made in the month of October 2008.

This information was not told before and now spice jet customer care claims that announcement must have been made. This is just cheating the consumers by not giving complete information.

I have 2 OLD passengers who have to travel from Mumbai to Chennai immediately after an International travel (from Boston to Mumbai). International travel allows 46 kgs per person, so I wanted to confirm the baggage allowances in your aircraft.

I called up your Customer Care center(Reservations) NOv 2008 around (7:45 AM EST) and asked them for SpiceJet Luggage restrictions. I was told I can take along ‘n’ number of baggage’s (weird!!! I confirmed with the customer care person ‘n’ number of times) each not to exceed ‘20’ kgs and I should report at the earliest for check-in. I did not have an Indian credit card, so I asked my brother to book the travel for me.

Later when I called up your customer care center again to reconfirm, I was told only 20 kgs per person is allowed and there was some kind of MISCOMMUNICATION that has happened.

I could have easily gone ahead and booked with Jet Airways, more reliable, where they allow international baggages. Instead, I am now asked to pay SpiceJet an excess of Rs. 80 per kg. I am disappointed with your customer care team and am trapped in this situation where I have to pay an excess of Rs.3200 (for the excess 40 kg).

And also because of their luggage size restrictions, i am helpless. International Passengers DO NOT TRUST SPICEJET

                                  Dear Sir,

Last week booked 2 tickets for a Spicejet flight from Goa to Delhi (flight SG-254 dated 18/October/2008 from Goa- Delhi). When I arrived to the airport I was informed that the flight was canceled due to “operational reasons”. When I asked why I wasn’t informed about this change I was told that the Spicejet team tried to reach me over the phone. Since I had my cell phone with me the entire week before the flight, I can tell in 100% certainty that I never received any phone calls or SMS. The Spicejet team at the air port told me that they sent me emails (which was true), but these emails arrived on Thursday night (less then 48 hours before the flight) and were not checked by me.

Since I had an international connection from Delhi later on that day, I didn’t have any option other than to buy a new flight ticket to Mumbai from another company and pay a full fair (the cost for each new ticket was 8270 rupee) and then use my original ticket with Spicejet which was rerouted to Mumbai->Delhi.

Overall, instead of paying 10850 rupee for 2 tickets from Goa to Delhi, I ended up paying 27, 390 rupee!!!.

My current job as a Program Manager at Intel requires me to fly on a monthly basis. In 100% of the cases, when one of the flights is canceled, the flight company arranges me with a different route to my destination. But from some reason, your company didn’t take any reasonability and forced me to pay an astonishing amount due to Spicejet flight cancelation.

I expect spice jet to take responsibility on such events and refund me with the flight costs.

                                  Thanks,
                                  Guy Itzhaki

We reached airport on scheduled time but came to know that flight have been cancelled. Nieghter Travel portal agency nor Spicejet informed me prior for the same. On spicejet counter I was told that I didnt mention my cell no. while booking but it is not possible because cell number is mandatory while online booking. I fill that and got sms by travel portal confirming booking also. Though spicejet arranged ticket for next day but all these was waste of time and money. It took total cost 1500 than just Rs. 500 for auto fare. We took auto to reach airport paying Rs. 500, spend same amount on returning due to flight cancellation. Next day I spend 500 again to reach airport. Just before a week I came to know your programme and writing you. Hope I will get support by you in this regard. This is mockery of the system. You offer customer care but no care for customer.

After calling up, they tell me there will be additional charge of Rs. 100/- for booking over phone...I told them how do i use the credit through the net to which they say is not possible. This means i am forced to use phone and forced to pay Rs. 100/- which in the first place were mine only...

This is pure blackmailing which is done to customers today by the aviation companies and i would request you to kindly look into this very seriously...They think that by saying that they are Low Cost airlines, they have no accountability !!!
