Updated by ashutoshk_in Tata Indicom Broadband is a most inferior grade service provider. The issue is not yet resolved. Here is my experience:
1. I called Customer Care multiple times, but there is a standard response that they are working on the issue. When I ask them, who is working on the issue, they are not able to explain. Secondly, they ask me to go to their regional office to get the issue resolved. Like I explained before, the treatment to customers at Tata's regional office in Pune is most hateful - the customer is made to stand outside the gate and security provide evasive responses. The customer complaints officer is then connected via a line in the Security cabin, where she assures that the complaint will be resolved, but later there is no update at all. The same episode has to be repeated again.
2. I sent an email to Customer Care (email id: [protected]@tatacommunications.com) using my registered email id for discontinuation of services, but there was no response at all. Customer Care told me that I can expect a response within 48 hours of sending an email. I had sent the email at 10:10 am IST, Aug 22, 2014. I quoted my user id and Account number as well. But, as of now 12:40 pm, Aug 24, 2014, there has been no response. Customer Care executives are again asking me to send follow up emails and then wait for another 24-48 hours. They do not provide any explanation for lack of response. Also, I was told that they do not have any way of ensuring that the back end team to respond to my email.
I asked them if they are at all accountable for any delay and they said no. This is most disappointing.
I explained the customer care executive that if my request for discontinuation is not acted upon immediately, I will get another bill from Tata even though my connectivity issue has not been resolved yet. The Customer Care executive advised me to withhold payment - this is shocking as it amounts to misguiding the customer - consequences would be a legal battle with Tata.
If Tata Indicom Broadband has any shame left, they should discontinue my plan and provide me refund on account of service credit for August.
We have received your complaint and we will ensure it is resolved soon.
