1. Are there any norms/regulations/guidelines for imposing making charges on gold jewellery?

2. Why there is so much variation in making charges? It varies from 12% to 35%

3. What is the basis for imposing variant making charges?

I had to repair my titan Raga watch as the battery wasn't working. I went to a showroom in sector 18 Noida. They asked us whether we would like the ₹250 battery or ₹350 one. We said we would like the ₹350 one. After everything was done, they handed us the warranty card. We said we would like to have the receipt too. They started arguing that the warranty card is only the receipt and the price will not be mentioned as per titan guidelines....

Its really pathetic to see this kind of quality product from the so called international brand XYLYS... I bought this xylys watch almost one year back ..model no.9438KL02, date of purchase 24 Feb 2014 . And rite now its buckle strap not working at all...when we went to the TITAN service centre, they said we need change the strap which will again cost Rs.5000 ...is it really worth buying this watch for such an huge amount and then again paying...

I have purchased titan ladies watch Model no.24809M. The watch stopped working, I submitted to the titan shop for repair on 6 September 2014, but have not received back my watch yet. It's been more than a 1.5 months, and even after regular calls and visit to the titan shop, I have not received any appropriate response. i have a golden harvest scheme in tanishq show room in punjagutta, hyderabad area and it has been already completed, when i went to purchase an ornament they are charging 18.50% wastage on 9.93 grms gold chain, it is also 22 carts gold. I enquired in another showrooms which they were charging max of 11% wastage. But these Tanishq people are charging very high in gold rates also, can someone take action on this and help us on this! On paying the money , I was neither given a diamond certificate for it nor did I get a printed bill whereas other customers were getting a printed bill.
