Dear Sir
My cell no is [protected]. The balance amount available in my cell as on 31.10.08 at 6.00 AM was Rs. 100 which became Rs. 3 by evening of 31.10.08 without making even a single call. How it happened ??????
Similarly I have paid Rs. 49 to convert msgs charges @ 2ps/msg but it has not been activated and company is continue to charge @Rs.1 per message.

Vodafone — Charge a Large Amount of Rs.

Sir,
I have a vodafone no. is [protected]. Some times co. cut the large amount in my recharges about Vodafone redio service. which is not taken by me. When I call the customer care they tell me about this service. I ask the deactivated this service. they tell me a sms send about it. I am sending the sms but reply is You have not currently activated for this service. this month i lost my amount of Rs. 60 and my a/c is -tive. Vodafone make fool the customer.

Vodafone — vanish recharge

Dear sir / madam
Today recharge of 200Rs & after one hours recharge with 19Rs the I had a
call at around 15.00PM: during conversation Vodafone Company service has gone , so many
time has passed then I switch off my cell for refresh. but when I get it on
& make a call again its reflect voice massage that from yours that there is
not enough balance in my account so immediately I checked it but there shows
only 16paise in may accounts its horrible, I have call on 198 but Vodafone Company
customer care person Sharukh & his seiner Makarand said that talk with that
sailer who give it to you I talk with him he said that its not my
responsibility your cell has shown made recharge complete so please its
responsibility of Vodafone Company
So pls see carefully & do needful to resolve this issue on priority basis
looking at your good service

    Hi,

    I've a vodafone prepaid number [protected] (Punjab) and a Vodafone retailer. My phone balance was Rs.29.

    On 31st October evening, i received a call from vodafone customer care informing me about the benefits of MISSED CALL ALERTS.

    Straightaway, i DENIED to use the service as I'm using this number for Recharge purpose only and it is not being used for calling etc.

    The executive thanked me and put the phone. Even, I got busy with my regular schedule.

    Today (1st Nov) morning when i attempt to make a call from my vodafone number, i heard that i din't have proper balance to make the call. Immediately, i checked the balance and it is Rs. -2.17 (negative). Immediately, i call the vodafone customer care [protected], where i found that the MISSED CALL ALERT service is activated on my phone (ON MY REQUEST) and that Rs.30 has been deducted in regard to that.

    I asked them for any verfication of this alert and they said that the service has been activated on your verbal consent with their executive.

    What should I do? Can i get the recorded call details for that period.
    This is very cheap way of Customer Service and i request all of you up there, if you have gone through the same, please reunite and take action.

    Vodafone — Charges for unanswered call

    i have received missed call from[protected]. I have called back but i didn't get any type of tone. But this call was charged Rs.45/minute.

      Respected sir/madam,
      i took a new vodafone sim card and submitted all my proofs which is compulsory as per the rules to the vodafone office in gorakhpur by hand.After receiving the proof they started my sim card but after 1 month they discontinued the service stating the reason that i have not submitted the required proofs.I have the number to all my colleagues but now that number is not working, i am facing a lot of problem.i complined several times but there was no response from the vodafone office, bank road, gorakhpur.

      today 21st july 09, i took a replacement sim from vodaphone store, saket, new delhi at 3 pm & commit to me after 4 hours your service will be started but up to 11.45 pm my sim has not been activated, i m facing some problem.

          This is regarding the complain I registered several times in last 15 days and now when i am totally exasperated and infuriated with vodafone’s customer care and walk-in centers, I have decided to write this mail to you.

          I am a Vodafone customer for last 4-5 years, using postpaid connection ( [protected]) residing in Bhandup(west). For last six months I am using Vodafone GPRS service so as to connect my PC thru data cable . It was working well and was not giving too frequent problems.

          For last 15 days, I am facing very unusual problem i.e. whenever I connect the PC thru data cable to use GPRS, it reflects Connection done-460kbps . But still I am unable to browse any site. Rarely I can afford to open any site now a days as this problem is persisting still .Worst part is that although it shows connected, I can’t browse anything. So I am being charged for not using anything.

          I have spoken to around 40 customer care executives (a list of few names is attached) in last 15 days.

          I have visited to Vodafone Mulund-walkin centre also. You must be aware that customer is required to call from an alternate number incase he wants to consult GPRS team thru cust care centre (111). Knowing this fact I also did the same, and used my other prepaid connection ([protected]) as an alternate number to call up GPRS dept.

          First of all its tough to get GPRS dept staff on line, even if they are online calls getting intentionally disconnected sometimes by postpaid and sometimes by Gprs executives . Being a bit crazy customer I never gave up and tried your customer care as many times a maddened and enraged man can do from an alternate number of mine.

          But all in vain, and to add to my frustration cust care has barged my IVR outgoing call on my prepaid number.
          So I am hanged and was interlocked within your system. Because I was having GPRS issues, I am bound to call from a alternate number and unfortunately my alternate number calls on IVR are barged by customer care.

          Thanks a lot…when IVR calls started getting thru after 7 days of vigorous follow-up., but GPRS issue remained the same. In a rage of anger I landed to vodafone’s walkin( Mulund).they upgraded my Sim from Orange to Vodafone, but its was not an end to my problems.
          GPRS still show’s same connectivity problems as it was showing earlier.

          I would request you to send some technically versed executive of Vodafone to chk my GPRS issues as the things are going thru the roof and problem still persisting. It can be a network or some other cell site issue but I need a proper resolution to avoid my trip to your LowerParel office or a consumer court office.

          Regarding Vodafone Post Paid Connection([protected]),

          I have given a letter on dated 24/07/08 to Kolkata Voda fone head office to close my vodafone post paid connection and also not using that sim card. 22times I have talked to customer care officer. Always they are assuring me to close.

          But till today they are sending me bill for every month .

          I am with corporate line of Rs250/- of Eureka Stock and Services. Now adays Voda Fone mail me one mail for Rs. 969.14 upto date 06/11/08 and also Mr. Amit Agarwal (Corporate line agent-Phone-[protected]) threating me that he will collect money from me by force etc etc.
          Please help me.

            Dear Sir,

            I have recharged sms card of rs. 35 on 27th Oct. 2008 but till now this is not activate on my account. When I an sending some messages to my colleagues then Rs. 2 is deducting what is this even messsae is free by this card.

            Many times i have called to ur cutomer care but they are not given any satisfactory clarification. They have called please do message and ur charge will not deduct but i have send message and rs. 2 deduct even Local message is Rs. 1:20 paise.


            Sir please help me and sort out this problem,

              Sir,

              I had received an SMS of Diwali Offer for recharge of Rs. 225/-
              on 23/10/08 which stated the benefit of Rs. 350/- which included Rs. 200/- of talktime and 100 local SMS free for 30 days.
              On 24th Oct 2008 I called at your toll free service and confirmed about the offer.

              On 25th oct 2008 I refilled my cell with Rs. 225/-

              On 27th I made round about 30- 40 SMS for which I was charged, when I called up ur free toll service I was informed that 27th & 28th were national holidays and on national holidays the scheme of free SMS was not available. This information was not given in your scheme as well as not informed when i called up on 24th.

              So I request you to refund my SMS charges as per your record under the given scheme of Rs. 225/-

                I have purchased a Vodafone Prepaid Connection and at the same time i have submitted the ID proof's. I was told that my connection will be activated within 1-2 days. I waited for 3 days and approached the reseller. He told me that the same problem is recurring with the ID collection executive who works on behalf of vodafone franchise. We got our number activated after 10 days of purchase(i.e directly calling the superior of the same vodafone franchise after 8 days) we got the verification call on 23rd of oct 2008 and on the 29th oct 2008 evening we got a sms stating that the ID proof's have to be submitted within 24hrs and our outgoing services and CLIP services have been deactivated. When we approached vodafone Shop for assistance, we are informed that we have to again submit the ID proofs, as our verification result is negitive on 29th oct 2008. When we asked them to return our ID proofs, we are told to collect it form okala office. I dont understand why we they don't return to my commutation address or to the reseller to whom we have provided the ID's.

                Vodafone — Verfication of Address failed

                I am having a corporate plan with Vodafone on 2 of my numbers which I bought in August.

                These numbers I have been discontinued 4 times just for Verification of Address. I received my Phone bills on the same address at the right time.

                I have submitted thrice all the documents and landmarks along with alternate numbers where I can be reached and yet again the phone disconnects today saying my address verification fails.

                I am not sure what kind of service Vodafone is providing to their customer

                  I had taken a vodafone mobile connection last week and had submitted a photograph, address proof and identity proof while taking up the connection.

                  After one week they just barred my outgoing stating non-receipt of proofs. Why should i suffer if Vodafone has taken up useless people as their dealers who cannot forward the proof documents on time or their staff who don't update their receipt on time. If as a user I am submitting my proofs, then I deserver a right to uninterrupted service.

                  Their customer care is as useless to talk to as a buffalo on streets.

                    Hi,
                    My woses began last month when my phone bill jumped from 250/- a month to 1600/-.. the reason.. Vodaphone activated the GPRS service without a concent...adding to it did not even find is necessary to email/phone me.
                    My highend phone seems to be doing some auto updates as per the detailed statment. And this month its 2600/- ...
                    They have not yet stopped the GPRS service inspite of repeated requests..But today the Vodaphone floor superviser Mr Ravindara has showed me the way to get out of this .. pay up and disconnet the phone cause the Vodaphone systems will not accept anything less and Vodaphone cannot do anything.
                    I would appreciate it if someone could help me understand how to have it redressed in the consumer forum and also please take this as a warning that the billing plans.. changes..etc will be subject to the will and fancies of the phone companies and the customer care is certainly very clear on how to address the issue... "You dont like it.. pay up and move on..."

                    vodafone -Hutch billing — Putting plan without consent

                    I had taken a yearly rental scheme, paid all the yearly rental in advance and wanted to shut the phone down. I have provided the phone to my old parents so that they can communicate with me as i had still 4 months left.

                    In April or may when my yearly subscription ended, i thought i would not continue it. As i had other cheaper plans to continue communication.

                    Without our approval and permission, vodafone has put my phone bearing [protected] in Hyderabad to a plan which i am not aware? They continue to bill me, on some plan without my approval. The money was actually paid after two months a total of Rs 805 against a bill of Rs 803. Please return back this amount and provide me the explanation on what basis you have continued with the plan without my approval? A complaint Ref:[protected] is lodged at Bangalore vodafone outlet, i have to really struggle to get this complaint.

                    One is the exhorbitant billing and inpite of asking them to provide complete bill details, they would never send it. They want me to charge additional money to give me the information on why i am billed.

                      My prepaid mobile # is [protected], i have so far raised 2 service requests with Vodafone for the following issue. I had got a messgae from Vodafone care on 25th Sep 2008 stating that ISD calls made till Sep 29 2008 (upto Rs.25) will be free. So i had made a call to US that costed me Rs.55.xyz. To my surprise, the entire amount got deduced from my balance. So i had made a call to customer care and they said that the amount (i.e Rs.25) will be credited into my account on the 1st of Oct.

                      I waited till 2nd Oct and as the amount did'nt get credited back into my account i again made a call to customer care and raised a request for the same with the following request # RR[protected].

                      On 6th Oct i got a message from Vodafone stating that my complaint had been resolved. So i again made a call to customer care as Rs.25 did'nt get credited in my account.

                      For the above problem i again raised a request with the following request # RR[protected]. Since then i am continuously calling customer care but the only response i get is that, "This will definately get resolved by today."But to no avail.

                      It is really shocking for me to see that such a big International company like Vodafone is doing such tricks to earn revenue.

                      Vodafone — vodafone - Cheated again!

                      I have send many local messages on 12th sept 2008 in Bangalore from my Vodafone mobule. That is covered under free sms and when the bill came it is charged! when i called vodafone call centre i got the reply that 12th Sept is ONAM and that is why free sms is not valid. I wonder what ONAM has to do with Karnataka circle!! they are giving the reason that ONAM is a national festival. I couldn't stop laughing !! I asked whether it was holiday for Vodafone employees..It was not as expected. So only for customers Vodafone has decided that it will be a national hoiday even for a regional holiday in another state/mobile circle. This is systematic cheating on the part of vodafone. I wonder whether they have deployed the same cheating all over INDIA !!


                      This is not the first such instance from Vodafone that i have experienced and I am sure that they will continue doing so.

                      Looking forward for the days when number portability is there and these mobile service providers learn how to be ethical and fair in generating revenues.

                        i m neeraj bhalla from delhi, i have a vodafone connection, my no is [protected]. actually before 2 days i purchased the world calling card from vodafone. the card price is rs 375 and the talk value is rs 333. they indicated that the call charges for uk fixed line from ur wcc is rs 1.99. but they charged rs 8.45 for uk fixed line calling. i have reported customer care twice. but they are not listening any complaint and saying sorry only. my whole card is empty in only 40 minutes of talk to uk fixed line. they are making fool to the custumors. pls do somthing for me.

                          I have a serious concern with my vodafone billing.

                          Background:
                          Couple of weeks back i had to go to US for office work. I activated the international roaming on my vodafone to ensure I am in touch with my colleagues and clients. I had to use my vodafone for 3 days while in US.
                          I was aware of the fact that my credit limit was Rs.7000, and as per the regulations i knew that as soon as i reach the limit I would not be able to use the vodafone service. On the 4th day of my US trip, my wife called up saying that vodafone executive had called up and informed her that the bill amount has reached over Rs.15, 000...this was indeed shocking as technically it should not go over Rs.7, 000.

                          My experience with Vodafone:
                          I have been using vodafone for over 3 years now and have never defaulted a single time. I guess my bills have been in the range of Rs 2, 000 - Rs 3, 000 every month. I have had no complaints with vodafone service so far except the one mentioned above.

                          My Concern:
                          With the above incident (crossing my credit limit), i feel like i am being cheated. If I had reached the limit, I guess it is reasonable for me to expect either an sms or a phone call from vodafone to alert me that I am about to reach my credit limit. But unfortunatly no one bothered to do that.

                          Secondly, since the bill had reached over Rs.15, 000, the phone was disconnected while I was in US. Only I know what discomfort I went through. The most concerning factor was, I was to meet with a client on the airport for a contract, but my flight got delayed. If my vodafone was working, I could have called my client the moment I would have landed, however since my service was disconnected I couldn't do that. I had to run all over the airport to find a phone, and by the time I called the client, he had already left. It was certainly a tremendous business loss to my company and personal/professional loss to me...i am still traumatized about that incident.

                          Next step:
                          Honestly, I am in not position to pay the entire bill (Rs.17, 000). From an ethical point of view, I have no issues in paying the credit limit of Rs 7, 000 as I feel that it is something that I owe to Vodafone. But the additional amount is certainly something that vodafone should look at waiving off.

                          Given my losses at the business, i was so furious that i would have never even bothered writing to them or paying the bill, but since i understand the business dynamics I deliberatly did not intend to make vodafone suffer from any loss, nor was i wanting to incur any loss by paying the entire amount.

                          When i wrote an email to them, they replied back saying they are sorry for the inconvenience, however they an help it and I have to pay the bill.

                            Vodafone charges regular rate for sms during festival days! now this is a big headache for people like me who have activated an sms booster . While your major competitors like Airtel offer sms based on the activation of booster, why do you have it like this? The sms booster pack says that i would be " allowed to send 750 free sms' per day for a period of 30 days", and i expect that, in continuity, without any breaks in between. I lost almost Rs.5 this diwali in sending Sms . I feel cheated because if 2 festivals fall in a month, then i am deprived of sending free sms' for 2 days, that means "750 local sms only for 28days". I feel like being forced to switch over to airtel .

                                I was having Sony Erricson w550i handset with vodafone prepaid number [protected] but on 25/10/2008 while I was in office receiving Service Tax Returns at Central Excise Range, Moga, someonce stole my phone. IMEI No. of my handset is[protected]. Balance in the sim on 25/10/2008 was Rs. 300/- to Rs. 320/-. But today, when I approached a local vodafone office, they informed the balance to be Rs. 188/-. This means whosoever stole my phone has used it for calls. I want the details of these calls from 25/10/2008 to 27/10/2008 so that my phone could be traced.

                                    I have been getting several promotional calls of late. Besides the nuisance value, I find that they are being charged to my account. This is daylight robbery. Customer care does not have a slot for this particular problem, so I can't call them. I am seriously considering changing networks if this continues.

                                      I am working for multinational company, mitsui O.s.k. line. i have taken a connection of vodafone and my number is [protected]. My last date of bill payment is on 27th of every month. to my surprise i received a call from vodafone stating that she is from vodafone and forced me to pay the bill immediately though as per my bill date there was still lot of time was available for me. The vodafone company stopped my out going call and message service immediately on 23/10/08 though my last date of bill was 27/10. As i was travelling and i was totally cut of from my office and family due to which the company has suffered a loss.
                                      We had spoken to vodafone customer service but they very arrogantly said they cannot do any thing.
                                      We request your goodself to pls take up the matter accordingly and help us to recover the loss happened because of thier wrong attitude.

                                      Vodafone — Out going is stop

                                      I took a connection of Vodafone some ten days back through our company. I was asked that initially for two or three days it will work as a pre paid connection and after that automatically will convert into post paid connection. After 3-4 days my out going calls were stopped saying your documents are in complete.My caller ID was also stopped.I submitted all the documents required by them and I was replied that it will take some time to restart as post paid and you may refill your connection if you want.
                                      I refilled my number on saturday.When I contacted executive he told me that you will be able to call imediately after refilling.
                                      But still my coneection has not been activated.Neither I can call any one nor I can know who is calling me as my caller ID has been stopped.

                                      I am trying to contact customer care service and their executive who has given me the connection, but no one is picking up the phone nor they attending my complaint.I am in totally dark.Even after paying money I am unable to avail service.

                                        I took a new postpaid corporate plan 10 days back from the vodafone store, Vashi Mumbai. It has been more than 10 days and my service has not been activated yet, not even the verification has been done. This is not expected of Vodafone. When i called the customer care, the agent asked me to contact the vodafone store, and everytime i got to vodafone store at Vashi i have to wait for minimum 45 minutes just in queue to get myself heard. Staff in the vodafone store is very insensitive & rude to the customers and they always promise what they can not deliver. I was told that i will get the verification done by the end of the day the last day and it has not been done till yet. I am very much pissed off and going to discontinue the vodafone services (as if they were activated ever). The website is so slow that its not getting uploaded at my end, i cant get the email id where i can report my complaint. God help Vodafone and its customers. I believe the services were much better when it was Hutch (I have been using it from the past 3 years and now due to relocation to Mumbai had to take a new connection), but of course the Vodafone takeover has come with a cost to the customers on the service quality. I hope someone will listen and take action reading this mail.

                                        I just read the previous complaint and feel the same is happening with me. I also bought a new postpaind connection with Vodafone from their Vodafone Store at Vashi. I also had a similar experience as the one stated by another vodafone struck ill fated person. Took me 45 mins to talk to someone and then was given this stupid connection which is not getting activated since 4 days now. Now when i call the customer care they say they have not received the papers which i personally submitted in the vodafone store at vashi. This girl with the name "Aarti" (at the store) promised me that the connection will be activated in 3-4 hours as all my papers were in place. God help me and all the other customers of VODAFONE now. I have been trying to talk again to the customer care but these insensitive people saying "we are happy to help" are actually disconnecting calls instead of providing a solution. Rightly said that vodafone has actually deterioted, what was hutch previously. I think it was too good at that time. By just wearing smart looking clothes, speaking good english and saying HAPPY TO HELP does not make the customers happy. Vodafone u really got to listen to them and solve there problems to become a customer centric company. Is somebody listening??? if yes contact me back on my email id [protected]@gmail.com.
                                        I hope this serves sum purpose...we were trying to transfer the prepaid connection to postpaid the request was given 7-8 days back, now the prepaid has been deactivated and postpaid hasn't been activated, the Sr, executive Ms. Neha in Vashi vodafone store was completely not bothered and sed it wud b done in 2-4 hrs, and we are still waiting...iam so sick and tired of vodafone service it is the worst ever, all the verification has been done, and wen we go there they get back to us sayin all the process is over, then what on earth is takin so much time is beyond my understanding, i hav decided to take this to media, cos i hav had it to the maximum i cud...i want results and dat too immediate...
                                        i ve read all the above complaints and it is absolutely true. i bought a prepaid sim from a shop who called himself an authorised vodafone dealer, me being an outstaion customer there was intial delay (5days) for the activation of my card, which is understandable due to security reasons. but what followed for the next week was the most harrowing experience, should be that way for most vodafone customers i think. my card was de-activated(within 4 hrs of activation) saying that my doccuments havent reached the vodafone office, i went to vashi store 2 times but cudnt fix the problem still. both the times i went there i was only canvassed about migrating to a post paid plan but there was never an attempt to re activate my card. and for the past two days i cudnt not even talk to the customer care executive over phone(vodafone care 111), and i cud hear only to computer recorded voice... it is time that someone takes over vodafone soon... it really is becoming a rotten squib when it comes to customer service
                                        I have convert my post paid connection in to "prepaid " accont, but after 1 week i got an SMS stating that your doccuments are not submitted, though i have submitted all doq. with original verifiction. For activat same plan i had taken "Leave" for the day as i am staying at "Uran".
                                        I really dont to what action is pending from my side, for the same issue, i have contacted to custamer care' but thay advise me to visit vashi office.
                                        But this is not possible at all for me, even they are not willing to give me "Vashi centre" conatct no, so i can understand the cleare picture.
                                        We need to take the stron action against VOdaphone service i.e. DABBPHONE
