I'm a user of Airtel FastTags which I purchased in Dec 2019 for two vehicles. One of these Tags on my vehicle no. UP42S5926 was not functioning properly and causing delay at Toll Plazzas. I talked to the Airtel helpline no [protected] regarding this for re issue but they suggested that I may apply for a new one. As per their instructions, I removed the Tag, cut it into two pieces and sent the pic to their customer care portal [protected]@airtel.com for further action on 30 June 2023. I was informed that a confirmation call will be made. Subsequently, few calls, all labelled as Spam were there in my call log! I was not able to respond as all the calls were made from spam numbers. I sent emails regarding this explaining the issue and repeatedly called to the helpline no. Till date my FastTag has not been deactivated and I'm unable to move on National and State Highways in absence of FastTag!
As a premier telecom service provider, they are unable to connect me for a simple verification! The same can be done through email verification also! Sometimes the private enterprises function worse than the gov organizations!
Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

Updated by san@consuComp807 No words/actions regarding my FastTag deactivation from Air Tel Payments Bank. Even today on 11 July 2023, I called on their helpline for the redressal of my problem but got the same response : we are looking into the matter, you will get the required response in two working days ! My FastTag is still active.
