I switched to Airtel about a month ago and i notice airtel always reports wrong HIGH data usage and send me 50% usage alert very quickly.
I have a prepaid plan for 2Gbs/Day and also added a 12GB data pack a 10 days ago. I use this as hot spot for my laptop. I DO NOT watch video on my phone
1. I watch youtube only @ 240p or max 360p resolution for 10 mins when i get a break and the data plan does not even last an hour of video. Please see attached rate of youtube data = 300MB for 1Hr of 360p video.
2. Mostly, i use VPN for remote work, that uses remote terminal.
I have also attached my laptop Windows Data Usage Monitoring app snapshot, reporting 16GB o[censored]sage for PAST 30 days.
As per my prepaid plan (on 7/17), I have 2GB/day x 20days + 1.5GB/day x 10days, plus the 12GB data pack = 67GB. And windows says i have used only 16.02GB, whereas airtel account says 0gb remaining and my internet browsing slows down to halt.
The discrepancy of data usage between laptop network interface statistics and reported by airtel is very very large. Based on my experience of laptop data usage, I strongly suspect Airtel is reporting wrong usage. I had Jio before, which reported a fair usage.\
I have also attached the Airtel transaction / receipt that shows the details.
