Hi,

I am chithra devi. M, underwent a surgery (Salpingectomy) on 26/08/2017 at greams road, apollo hospital.
My uhid is ac01.2206525
My insurance company is oriental insurance (Medi asst).
Insurance company requested a clarificaion letter from the doctor for charging a higher fees. Doctor gave a query reply and was not given in apollo letter head.
Insurance company requested the clarification as a letter in the apollo letter head to accept the fees charged.
I have been following up for almost 2 months with the dr. Sathish and still they are not providing me the clarification letter.
Please provide me the clarification letter in the apollo letter head, within 2 days, because the insurance company has been waiting for 2 months for this letter and they might close my case and i have to lose rs. 80000 that i paid as my surgery fees alone.

    My wife Mrs.Suchitra Mehta was admitted for cancer treatment and unexperienced duty doctors and nursing made her post operation experience and treatment horrible. Medicine department issued non-working Apollo thermometer and on request to exchange they refused and harrassed. Overall sub standard services.Worst experience.Give me a complaint e-mail.

      I am originally afghan, but i live in england, i came all the way from england to afghanistan to take my mom to india for medical reasons. Today 28/oct/2017 i got a full body checkup package for my mom, i am not going to complain about all the small issues that shouldn't happen in a hospital like apollo, i understand that no matter what end of the day we are all human and we do mistakes, yet we don't expect apollo hospital to cause issues for their patients, therefor there are some mistakes that are tolerable and some are not. Long story short, we did blood test and ultrasound and all other necessary test before getting into tmt room. My mom was not feeling good at all and it was well obvious from her appearance. She was sweating all over her body, she had no energy to move and stuff... It was our turn and the doctor had to check my mom out, we were waiting patiently in the room. While we were waiting my eyes were on doctor observing all her actions, firstly while my mom was all in pain and struggling to wait, the doctor was carelessly busy with some checklist and then she told my mom to set over on bed she slowly moved on and sat on the bed waiting for doctor to start the test, however, the doctor received a phone call soon after taking the phone the doctor went outside. We were still waiting inside so far it was like 30 minutes of waiting while it was our turn and we should't have waited a single moment because we were already waiting for ages for our turn to come. My patience came to an end i could't tolerate anymore i rang the customer care, while i was talking to customer care the doctor came in, the lady on the phone asked me to pass the phone to the doctor's secretary, she refused to take the phone then the lady on the phone asked me to pass the phone to doctor and the doctor refused to take the phone too, finally the lady on the phone told me that she is gonna come over to the tmt herself. I told the doctor not to proceed with my mom until the customer care team come over after trying very hard explaining to the doctor to wait until the customer care team come i managed to make her understand or maybe not? Thanks to customer care team they arrived within a few minuets, i have explained the situation to them they were very professional they listened to me and to doctor too. The reason that doctor has giving had noting to do with the situation, she said that i was all due to the language barrier. Now i don't understand what did she mean by language barrier? I have spent about 10 years of my life in england i am graduated from leeds uni, this should be enough reason to explain that i can well understand english and also i can well speak and understand urdu too. For more proves on this point you can ask the lady on customer care team as i have shown her my full english driving license. The customer care team took me to a different room trying to solve the situation, i understood the situation and we thought that situation is under control, however, when we went back to tmt room the doctor was refusing to get my mom's test done. I had no other choice but to apologies to the doctor for my mother sake, because looking at the situation it was very obvious that the doctor had no sense of respect and sympathy otherwise she would't have refused to get my mom's test done.
      I can go on and on about this for ages, however, i just wanna end this by saying, that we love india and indians i had the choice to take my mom to england, pakistan, turkey or any other country but i chose india, so i am kindly requesting the beloved indians to not make us regret for coming over to india.

        In apollo multi super speciality hospital kakinada have only one gynecologist doctor. There is no alternative to treat emergency women. They said (Roy is credit maneger) go out side and chose some other hospital. He is talking like government hospital clerk.
        Is it fair in it.
        If they have right.. Call to rmo and tel him to don't send gynec cases to our hospital.

          I am on dialisis from last 22 months at apollo sec-bad my uhid no 165789. I have given several complaints reg cots in dialisis unit but till now there is no response from management. They want just to grab money from patients just worst maintenance. I think in government hospital the cots & dialisis machines will be much more better than apollo sec-bad, they keep big posters with a quote world class facilities and world class treatment but in dialisis unit very very worst condition of cots due to cots i got back pain & now it’s chronic back pain, dialisis machines r very old may be 7 to 8 years and food no need to mention at the time of certification of nabh they maintained good. No person from maintenance will come to dialisis unit. This hospital is aligible for keeping big posters saying low class facilities, only hope in hospital is doctor & technicians. My suggestion to apollo group not to cheat the public saying world class facilities. I know very well after this compliant nothing will change i will receive just a call. They spending lakhs for renuvation of main lobby but they don’t have funds to change very bad condition cots because they don’t care about patients. We can see pets (Rats) in dialisis unit at night if anyone get infection then they will get more money for treating infections.

            My father is no more today and thanks to the expert care and attention of the doctors... We we're not even able to say our final goodbyes. My father was abused verbally.. Made fun of and mistreated when he was in dire need of emotional comfort and empathy. A patient who suffered heart attack and was in critical condition and so was in cicu section under the care of dr. Kmk reddy. He almost threatened to delay my father's angiogram reports when we asked him to expedite treatment and provide him with d care he needed. They did not allow us to see and comfort him or call him down which could have possibly increased my father's chances of survival. He died knowing he probably will never see us again. My father is no more but i hope no one else has to suffer at the hands of such inhuman doctors and sisters who have now made it their professional standard to mistreat patients.. That too at an hour when the patient is looking up at them for help.. Even relief or care. Pls ensure you take your patients to a hospital which knows the meaning of care.

            My father called me from d cicu so I got to know he is seriously breathing his last. D hospital never indicated that he had any trouble during the night so u can understand it's almost like giving your own up for sacrifice to Apollo. Even after multiple requests the doctor kmk reddy did not allow him to see us and the icu incharge Ashish told us clearly what is the status of my father and how we are jeopardizing it. But he also offered no compassion or support to help me or my family from trying to help comfort his agitated state of mind. Hope such doctors also die sad deaths so they realize what it means to be at the receiving end of mistreatment.

            I can understand your situation bcoz my father, also an 80+ senior citizen, underwent an agonizing experience in the ICU at Perungudi Apollo, Chennai. Unfortunately he is no more. The hospital, the doctors and nurses should be brought to book.

              I am fedup with the service of apollo hospital chennai greams road. On 7th oct 2017 i have done some test on apollo but due to some emergency i have to come back without taking my last report. From last 4days i am calling continuosly to apollo for my report but sometimes they picking my calls and transferring my calls to different numbers. Even sometimes they are misbehaving and saying that they can't send my report. I am asking several times to send my report by courier but the secretary of dr charumathi r don't even bother. I am a patient. Is this a service from apollo hospital chennai?

                Today, i went to buy medicines. I was in a hurry. 5. Employees were standing onthe shop. Only one customer, that was also done withthe payment. I repeated twice thrice about 2 medicines. I got little annoyed. Then ravi kumar pathak asked hanji kaya chayea. I told i m repeating the medicines, u hvnt listened. Answer us aal darwaze se chilate aayoge toh mein kaya karun. I told i m regular customer nt supposed to get this answer. So many persons are standing, anyone o[censored] cn gv the medicines. He is busy, he is busy, all r busy. I was really annoyed, dnt expect such customer service.

                    It fills me with pain and anguish to bring to your notice the horrific experience that i have faced in apollo hospital, bhubaneswar. My grievance is that apollo hospital, bhubaneswar completely failed to provide me satisfactory service. My wife aditi sahu was admitted for delivery to apollo bhubaneswar on 09/08/2017 under a consultancy of dr. S. N mohanty and was discharged on 11/09/2017.

                    I am presently working in indian oil corporation ltd as assistant manager (Finance), bhubaneswar and since the apollo hospital is under empanelment of indian oil, i decided to take the medical services of apollo bhubaneswar for the delivery of my wife.

                    It was shocking to experience such a poor medical services in apollo bhubaneswar which is one of the brand in medical services. I am sharing my feedback based on the medical treatment of my wife:-

                    1) at mid night of 09/08/2017 around 01:20 am the water started coming out at a very high pace from the womb of my wife. On consulting a doctor he advised not to come to hospital till the labour pain comes. I admitted my wife at 09:30 in the morning by the time almost all the water drained out.in this situation there were chances that child could have suffered due to lack of water in a womb. On consulting a doctor he told for surgery as water was drained out of the body. If this was the case than i should have been instructed by hospital for admitting my wife to the hospital at night and doctor must have advised for normal delivery while the water was coming. Further to aggravate our miseries, dr. Has attended my wife at 13:00 hours after my constant follow up with the hospital administration.

                    2) my wife got operated by 14:15 hours and she stayed in room beside operation theatre till 20:00 hours (I. E. 6 hours after operation) because of non availability of room. We were assured before the operation that rooms will be made available but to my shock we have to wait for 6 hours which speaks highly of mismanagement in apollo bhubaneswar. The condition in which my wife was stayed post operation was pathetic. I was told to not to worry about the rooms as certain rooms are in the hands of the doctor for those patients getting the full treatment by them but it was sham.

                    3) we are given semi private room though we had asked for the private room. Although we are told to be shifted to private room in the next day but nothing happened even after so many follow ups.

                    4) the space of the room was not even sufficient to accommodate patient, child and the attendant.

                    5) my wife, after the operation, was not supposed to take the food provided by the hospital (In respect of quality) as the same was to be served as per the medical requirement of the patients but hospital administration seems to care less about it and have turn deaf ear on my constant request about the quality of food.

                    6) for the first time i have seen that the child was not given any cloth by the hospital. The child was brought in the towel and remained in the same way till discharge. As per my experience with other hospital services the child was taken for cleaning everyday till discharge but in our case the child not cleaned even once nor covered by cloths.

                    7) every time i need to request atleast 6-7 times for the hot water for the baby for making milk. It took them 40 minutes approx to get the hot water for the baby. Further three times the complaint was made to the nurse that the hot water for contains some big particles, might be infectious and is not hygiene for the baby but nobody hardly cares in apollo. I need to rush to my home which is 12 kms everyday for getting the hot water for the baby. Because of the delay in giving hot water many times baby remained empty stomach for a long time which s really shameful as to how the hospital deals with post operation care of mother and child.

                    8) the several requests were made for changing the towels in the room but till our discharge they were not replaced.

                    9) we were told for discharge on 11/08/2018 at about 10:30 am by the doctor but it took 6 hours to complete the discharge formalities by the apollo bhubaneswar in my case where the bill is a bill to company that to with several follow ups on my part.

                    I took the entire medical treatment in apollo bhubaneswar for my wife pregnancy because i wanted the best medical services. Had i known the corrupt practices of apollo bhubaneswar medical services, i would have never treated my wife here. Is this the quality of services you boast about in apollo?

                    I would like to mention that the medical services are not value for money in apollo bhubaneswar. The bill you charges are not commensurating with the quality of service you render.

                    I have already placed the matter before the hr department of indian oil for necessary action against apollo and since the damage has already been done i will make sure that this matter must reach to the indian oil higher management for not empanelling apollo bhubaneswar in the near future. It might not affect your administration if one patient is not served properly but i would like inform you that all the indian oil officers who have come to visit the apollo bhubaneswar to wish me and my wife for my baby birth were utterly disappointed with condition in which my wife was living

                    No words of solace would minimise the pain that we have received but still if you care in saving the brand image of your hospital and more so having any concern for patients than i would request you to take punitive action against those who have dealt this matter in such a casual way and have caused apollo bhubaneswar unprecedented financial damage which might come in near future as many have pledge to stay away from apollo for medical treatment.

                      The apollo hospital jayanagar has been negligent and careless in handling my fathers treatment. My fathers name is ramesh p sheth and he was admitted for cardiac failure on september 22, 2017. There has been negligence in giving him medicines and treatment for a week now. They do not respond on the status of the health for my father. My fathers sugar level is 470 as on today and they have recommended discharge. The nurses lied saying the reports are normal. They have only increased the risk of health for my father and nothing else.

                        I have done usg on28/09/17 but in surgical pack it is also mentioned i have to undergo usg and i have paid again for usg. As i have yet to get report why should i paid for the same test. Though ur staff informed as the said test already have been done.. It should not repeat again.                           This is with reference to the complaint i have posted on 20th july with uhid number 165789. I have referred about the worst conditions of cots in secunderabad apollo in my mail. The issue had appeared to be resolved, but they have changed only 2cots temperorily, but the condition of other cots are still worse.in case of oher cots they have changed only outer covers. This is causing terrible back pain to patients like my husband, who spend almost 5 hours on cot. This worse condition of cots eventually lead to chronic back pain in case of my husband. Also there are rats roaming in dialysis unit during night time, which may result in serious infections.
                          Only at the time of nabh inspection, the conditions of the dialysis unit appeared to be good, but after that the maintenance is worst as usual. When we complained to your concerned official in the hospital, he blamed about lack of funds and asked us to complain to whomever we wish to.
                          Although, they are charging same amount for dialisis in secunderabad and jubilee hills branches, the conditions are drastically different. The dialisis machines in secunderabad branch are 5-8 years old. How can one expect such kind of facilities in a world class hospital?
                          The only advantage in dialysis unit is doctor t. K saha and technical staff.
                          Hope you will resolve the issue genuinely as soon as possible.

                          I would like to again remind about the worst conditions prevailing in secunderabad branch dialysis unit .Inspite of continuous reminders, we didn't get any respite from the problems my husband is facing in the dialysis unit. It is very sad to see such a kind o[censored]nresponsiveness from such a well reputed hospital like Apollo.

                            I went to apollo where i was the first person to be there 5:30 pm, they told me doctor will come only at 6. When asked for an appoinment they said no appoinment will be given. After me two more patients came, i thought they will call me as it was 6 - they sent out the third person who came, when i asked what is happening they said you are next as that guy has to go to office! Ok they should have atleast asked my permission?
                            Then as i was waiting in front of doctors room with the slip, they let go another patient - when said i have to go - they said no she has to show a report?
                            Seriously are we fools sitting there and waiting?? Do they even respect the people who come there. Well i met the doctor. When told to doctor all these things happen - she was like i have been in hospital since 5:00 pm
                            What is happing apollo?? Do you think people are so jobless that you make them wait and also tell the doctor that patients will come only at 6?? When were are already waiting there with a fever of 103.7 degree!!

                            Hopeless service i received - if i can recall the front office girls name was revathy (She was even little ok) but the lady who sat with her was so annoying. After all this they dint even have the curtesy to ask sorry

                              Apollo vanagaram security person on duty at night 20.9.17 don't know basic hospitality manners. They used multiple bad words in local language. I had my son admitted that noon. I had to rush back to hospital from my office. While mistakenly parked my car in bus location. But the security staff and driver, at reception entrance used filthy language instead being polite to me. They could have told in decent voice.
                              We raised out complaint to the duty manager at reception that night. She took no reaction to the complaint but instead tried to neglect this issue.
                              At last they all twisted the story on us.
                              We had the worst experience in apollo vanagaram hospital. Please teach manners to the security and duty manager

                                The blood sample was collected for the above mentioned test on 7th sept 2017. Until now the test results have not being shared by me. I did not even receive a call regarding what was the reason of delay any the report was not even uploaded unlike the previous tests. Payment was done on day of sample collection but no responsibility she by d clinic.

                                  I am from karur. My mother taking treatment in apollo loga hospital karur since apollo come to karur. I have paid more than ten laks bill amount for the past 7or 8 years. My mother admited on 15 sep and discharged on 18 sep. Id 15222. And while paying the bill i found the room rent was billed extra and i have not used the room and the billed it. Hence apollo group is the largest corporate hospital in india and why want to cheet the patients like charging extra. I belongs to karur and people in karur says apollo is costly and cheating. I getting treatment regular to my mom so i know the detiles.

                                      Feeling very sad to write this mail.

                                      My daughter was passed away on 20th aug 2017 at deharadun. Due to this shock, my wife (Mrs. Madhuri motiwale {65 years}) facing health issue since that day.

                                      Initially we consulted at max hospital deharadun for primary checkup. However it is not possible to stay long to deharadhun. My son insist us to move immediately to mumbai.

                                      As her blood pressure is on higher side and some behavioral changes (Due to shock) we consulted apollo hospital navi mumbai.

                                      Treating doctor advice us to admit her in hospital as some investigation (Like mri / eeg /eco / blood tests) to be conduct.

                                      We admitted her in apollo hospital on 28 aug 2017. We co-operate doctors team in all manners which suggested to us. She is not suffering from cold & cough at the time of hospitalization, however same is started from 2nd day i. E. 29th aug 2017 night. On next morning, doctor advice us for performing h1n1 test as they feel same is required. As we know the fact as she is not use to air condition rooms. However hospital insist us for test. Also they insist us to shift room from standard to private room. As we already lost our daughter, we have not in position to deny anything as she is very important to us. We shifted her to private room on 30 aug 2017 and discharge on 1st september 2017.

                                      However all reports status received as negative.

                                      Simultaneously we approaches tpa desk at apollo hospital where many queries raised by insurance company and final status given as decline with the reason "as per queries raised and revert received from hospital - this treatment can be given on opd basis". We insist hospital to re put the claim with justified remark which you perform from 28th aug 2017 to 1st sept 2017. However same is again rejected.

                                      We paid rs. 107000/- for 5 days.

                                      I need a explanation from apollo hospital regarding treatment given to my wife - why you can not justified your given treatment?

                                      Also i need a explanation from insurance company - if doctor explain everything while replaying your queries, why claim not sanctioned?

                                      Who will pay this amount to me, i am a 66 years old retired person. I'm not a doctor, but i faith in doctor's treatment, we co-operate doctors team in all manners which suggested to us time to time, i paid insurance premium to company to secure my medical expenses.

                                      Surprisingly my wife suger go down to 30 on sunday morning i. E. 3rd sept 2017, we immediately hospitalized her to niramaya hospital.

                                      She is still in hospital, i already paid rs. 107000/- in apollo, now i don't know what amount to be pay in niramaya hospital at the time of discharge.

                                      Still our claim not approved.

                                      Request you to please look in to the same as we want refund of expenses / insurance claim.

                                      Also request you to please look in to the same to existing claim application.
