Hello Sir,

I have been lodged complain of incorrect billing of our land line bill in BSNL Office,twice one in last month and again in this month.
still they have not given me any memo and correct bill.
i had broadband-125 plan in OCT 2011 for which i deposited 1200 annually.in march 2012 i changed plan to combo-850(unlimited broadband),but despite of all the efforts from customer side to request them to correct bill,i landed with frustration,unwanted expenses of traveling.

Please suggest suitable action to get compensation till i don't get justice.

for your kind information, i took the unlimited 500 bsnl plan on 21/11/2008 for conversion of plan from home 500.i have the sealed documents of bsnl commercial officer for approving my requring 500 unlimited plan and also the customer service confirmed the activation of plan.so, why i will pay the current bill which is rs.1100.kindly check the system and inform me. it makes a serious problem to me.please take some necessary steps against the extra bill payment condition.i will have to pay the amount which is rs.500 as per the 500 unlimited plan rental.please send me a satisfactory reply.

for your kind information, i took the 500c+ bsnl plan on 22/1/2009 for my study purpose.i have got connection on 5/2/2009 but my internet is not worked on that day.but it worked next day when i gave complaint at the circle.on that day i checked my account usage it came to exceed more than 3GB. I din use interneton that day next i checked my account usage it came more than 7GB. I am sure i din use itself and switched on my modem it self.and then still i din receive my bill.so please take some necessary steps against the extra bill.Awaiting for your replay

I have plan of bsnl broadband home 500c, according to this plan i have get 1.5 GB downloading/uploading free and 175 all India minutes free, i got this plan from date 15 Oct.2008, for 4 months(Oct, Nov, DEC, Jan), it work fine, and bill must be near 750/850 approximate, but in February my bill suddenly increases to 6226/ Rs which is much higher than last 4 month.for this regard i ask to bsnl office Rajnagar, ghaziabad, they told me that it is excessive use of last four month bill .they send this excessive bill without further information, they told me that their database error for this bill which being correct after 4 month, how it possible that their database work now correctly, i have not much use in February and i have bill receipt in which their is no mention of remaining bill in that time, how i can believe on them, they send me correct bill, how afford this money i am a student, i have no money to pay to for this, they never told me about this information, how such possible such extra use, i am a middle class student who can't afford this huge bill, please help me.if they told me such huge bill i can manage already, i can take unlimited home 750 plus plan by which no extra bill get by fixed charges, by this bill i get ruined,

Hello Sir,

I would like to complaint on billing procedure for my Broadband number[protected].

It's seem that BSNL has recently changes its plans but after changing the plans my account is not updated correctly.

As per my plan I should get either 175 free calls or Free call as per my existing land line plan(i.e.120 free Calls), but I am not getting anyone of these..

For one month BSNL has given me discount of 6/- Rs. on the bill of 126, And in this month it has given a discount of 1.20 Rs on the bill of 294.

Could you please check and help me? I have attached last 2 bills, please see the 2nd page of those for more details.

    i am not satisfy with the service and i want to port out from bsnl operator .
    as per your guidelines for each operator to provide upc code but bsnl operator

    i complaint many times but they don't take any action regarding this issue .
    so sir plz do needful it's my humble requst to your worthy authority to take strict action

    BSNL — not providing upc code

    I have sent message "PORT <my BSNL mobile number>" to 1900. I did not get a reply.

    I have sent this message 5 times yesterday and 1 time today. There is no reply whatsoever & now they have blocked 1900...

    BSNL is desperate to retain its customers. But rather than adopting the strategy to deny UPC numbers, they should improve their quality of service, which will be beneficial to them in the long term.

      DEAR SIR/MAM,

      My name is Ashok Kumar Bansal and resident of # 83/15 Model Town, Pehowa District Kurukshetra , Haryana- 136128 and I am a subscriber of BSNL landline with the subscriber no of [protected] from past twenty years and its Internet service from past five years.

      In the recent few weeks I have faced problem with my Internet facility on the same no.due to bad modem. From past two weeks I have been talking to each and every official in the local telephone exchange in Pehowa but no one adheres to my complaint. I have submitted many written applications to the SDO and JE but no one even looks at them and instead whenever I talk to them about my problem they start misbehaving with me. When I finally resisted the misbehave from SDO he sent me to JE. I approached him and he asked me to bring all the equipments to exchange and then he will help me instead of sending any technician to my place. Even then I took all the equipments to him in the exchange. Then he blankly refused to even talk to me and kept talking on his cellphone while I kept standing there for more then an hour.

      After all this harassment I have submitted an application on[protected] to disconnect all the services from my place. But even this did not move them at all.

      I would request you to take some serious action into this problem and set an example so that all the officials who in their carelessness do not spoil the image of Govt Services and stop the harrassment of common man.

        The WIFI service on my telephone number[protected] has never performed satisfactorily since its installation about a year ago. Several complaints to BSNL have gone unheeded. Frequently, the phone too does not work. The state of affairs is completely unsatisfactory, and is a disgrace to the organization. I do hope someone will take notice and rectify the problem in a hurry.

        BSNL — WIFI not working

        Hello Sir/Madam,

        I am having broadband connection but my WIFI connection is not working properly.
        It doesnot open any site. The speed of WIFI is only 54 mbps but BSNL is promising 100 mbps speed.
        So, kindly pay attention to our problem.

          sir, I am using bsnl cell one prepaid mobile operator (94186_ 33314) from last four years and the problem is the 3G network works only in the main city but not in old kangra. so we do not get the advantages of 3G services. i tried to registered many complaints but all in vain. so kindly help to sort out the problem.                   Last 6 months BSNL mobile is deducting 25 rs from my account . I called them every time they said they can't refund the amount but they will decorative it with in 24hrs and will not happen again but nothing happened this month they deducted 50 rs from my a/c . The customer care executives were rude . I have 2 complaint numbers

                      LANDLINE RESIDENCE TELEPHONE — NUMBER NOT GIVEN!!! NOT CONNECTED TELEPHONE TO MAIN EXCHANGE AFTER INSTALLATION NEARLY 2O DAYS.

                      I AM STAYING AT TALEGAON- DABHADE, PUNE-410507. FROM LAST 20 DAYS BSNL TEAM INSTALLED TELEPHONE (AFTER APPLICATION NEARLY 60 DAYS). IN ABOVE 20 DAYS NOT CONNECTED TO EXCHANGE OR NOT GIVEN THE TELEPHONE NOS.

                      WHY THE BSNL TEAM IS CARELESS? IF THEY CONNECTED THEY HAVE TO CONNECT TO THE MAIN TELEPHONE EXCHANGE & PROVIDE THE TELEPHONE NUMBER TO THE CUSTOMER. IF THEY ARE DOING SO, THEY CAN GET RENT EARLIER & CUSTOMER GETS GOOD SERVICE IN LESS TIME!!!

                      IT WILL INCREASE REPUTATION OF BSNL TEAM MEMBERS.

                      Since date of installation (one year) the telephone has gone completely dead every alternate month, each time for about a month. The electronic complaint booking does not accept the copmplaint saying that the number is non existing.                       My land line Tel #[protected] is not working from 04/08/2011.Complaint Docket 002536. There is no definite reply from concerned staff of BSNL and every time they promise that in a day it will start.The dependance on land line and associated Broad Band is creating difficulties.
                      I have a bsnl lind line with number 224287 with broadband connection. I'm facing a strange problem with my landline i'm unable to make calls from my landline and i lodged a complaint against this in telephone exchange and line men said that there is problem in your internal wiring. We rechecked the wiring and found no errors and i can receive call to my landline out going calls from my landline are not working to mobile, STD and other landline number.

                      I even mailed greivence cell of BSNL regarding this issue and i had no reply from them i need this issue to be solved by BSNL as soon as possible.

                      This is to inform you that my BSNL[protected] phone is not functioning properly since the last 25 days. I request you to kindly inform me regarding the procedure through which my phone can be surrendered as I do not wish to keep this phone any more, due to the poor services rendered. Inspite of repeated complaints to the Telephone Office no positive response has been received.I complained to 198 many times and one person came and checked. He gone after saying that cable is fault. I waited again many days and no one came there. After that i called to bsnl pbvr. but no response...
                      Being a senoir citizen the phone is a necessity for my father but instead it has become a burden as I am paying charges for a phone which does not work properly.
                      Please take this message as urgent as I am thoroughly dissappointed with my phone services.

                      Our land line number is[protected] not working last one month. We have registered the complaint in automated fault booking but still there is no response. The concern person please look into this issue at the earliest.
                      Our telephone (no.[protected] has been out of order since 4 months. We have paid the subscription for 1 year in advance. It never gave us a full fault free service for a continuous 48 hours for the last 4 months. For the last 3 weeks it is fully dead. We were told it is a primary fault and till it gets rectified we&#039;ll be provided with a wireless telephone diverted to our present telephone number. Still no communication from your side regarding either the wireless telephone or the rectification. I look forward to your kind intervention to provide me a permanent fault free and clear telephone service ASAP.

                      This is Prabhakaran from Sathyamangalam. We have a BSNL land line connection[protected]. Due to widening of roads the highways department uprooted all the trees and while doing so they disrupted the main cable lines. One and half month since this happened and no resolution has been provided. Instead of fixing this issue authorities are insisting us to migrate to WI-max service. All the land lines along the 2 km stretch were the road was cleared was not working and authorities have not even taken a single step to fix it.
                      Dear sir this is VIVEK RJ from Teltech our factory is at hosur, we have 2 phones with no 274646&amp;274846 these two no are not working from the two weeks, we are continuously following up with exchange..and no action is taking place, AE of hosur and Gm of dharmapuri are well aware of these issues and are not responding to our calls.

                      Nobody from the department are ready to give an answer for the same, we are facing this problem from almost 3-years, every time they come repair it after 2-3 weeks then it works for 1-2 months, again the same thing starts, none of the official, including line man picks up the call second time after they know our phone numbers, it is a pathetic situation to do business here in Hosur.                           we are in unlimted package with 256kbps, but we are not getting actual speed.When we gave a complaint by phone to our are je, he is replying that you are in unlimited package with 3300 Rs monthly tariff, because of this reason you will get maximum speed of 256kbps but not exact speed .Actually we have taken your bsnl broad band network connection with your technical persons advise for our SAP software requirements. But it is not working with 256 kbps actual speed.Kindly solve our problem immediatly.

                          I have the 500C plan, in this plan the broadband is unlimited from 02:00 to 08:00 AM, but when i try to download during these hours the speeds have never crossed 20 Kbps!!!

                          We were using Broad band for the last two years in Bangalore. Initially the package was for Rs: 250 and the speed as stipulated 256KBps was very satisifatory. Last August we upgraded to Rs: 500 plan and the surfing and down loading wer quite satisifactory. It usually touches 212KBps on a good server. This month after we upgraded to unlimited plan we noticed that the speed hardly crossed 30 KBps. After tweaking the IP address/DNS/gateway theres is no improvement.
                          I hope it is not the business strategy adopted ny BSNL to reduce the speed for unlimited downloads.
                          If that be so we would llike to know why this was not divulged to the customer. If not please coneect us to an improved slot. I down load softwares very heavily.

                          Same problem here in Hyderabad for last 4 days. Seems to be DNS problem, because some of the sites are opening and some are not. Interestingly, orkut.co.in sometime opens but orkut.com takes a long time or doesn't open at all.

                          I have been using broadband connection of Bsnl HOme 500 C Scheme. For the past 2 months or so the server is totally dead between 2 A.M. & 8 A.M. The speed is just 6 to 7 Kbs and due to this I am unable to download anything. I have given complaints but nothing has been done. After 8 A.M. the server speed is good. So is this being done purposely so that we opt for unlimited plans. But we are paying almost 600 Rs. and if we cant download during the free time then what is the use. Please see that something is done soon or else I have no option but to to to the Consumer Court. I have waited patiently for 2 months.                           I want to remind you all that 256kbps (kiloBITs per sec) = 32kBps (kiloBYTEs per sec) as 1 BYTE = 8 BITS.

                          Yes.This is entirely true.I to experience same problems.During 2 to 8 I get very low speeds of 5 to 10kbps.Even at 8:10 AM the speed rockets up to 150 to 200 kbps.BSNL must solve this.I think this is done purposely

                          Tips to improve BSNL broadband (and other DSL)

                          Hi everyone. I have been using BSNL broadband from 7 months now. My walk with bsnl broadband has been rough though, because of their poor customer support, poor service and also performance in remote places like that of mine mine. So it would be better if net connection is tweaked to maximum performance, to ensure max speed be available. So I had used these tweaks below for my connection, and they worked very well for me.
                          I found some of these tips on the internet and from friends in the initial stages of my bb use, now I have added them as well as my own tips to the list here. Some of them are application specific, and others are general. Also this guide is mainly targeted at the newbies, because when i was a novice i had really silly doubts like "Which browser should i use? ".
                          Any comments, flames and appreciations are welcome.

                          1) One of the major problems with BSNL Dataone Broadband connection is the DNS servers they provide by default. Most of the time they are very slow and sometimes they fail to respond. I noticed that I am starting to spend a significant amount of time in DNS resolution with Dataone connection, often it is larger than the time it takes to actually get the reponse. Here is a simple solution to significantly speed up your DNS resolution.
                          Open up the network connection profile and edit TCP/IP settings. In the DNS server address fields, specify the following DNS server addresses: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
                          Disconnect the connection and then connect again. You are done.
                          This specifies third party DNS servers which are significantly faster than BSNL Dataone’s DNS servers.
                          Note: The service is provided by OpenDNS.

                          2) Firefox users can use FlashBlock extension mozdev.org - flashblock: index to prevent downloading of Flash content by default, thereby significantly speeding up browsing experience. You can click on the placeholder icon to display the original Flash content any time. Like you want to watch Youtube movies etc just disable it with a click. This is more of a passive tip in that reduces data usage to improve your overall experience.

                          3) You can try to increase your broadband bandwidth tweaking the TCP/IP parameters. The process is simplified by using TCPOptimizer http://www.speedguide.net/files/TCPOptimizer.exe, a free tool. It helped me, your mileage may vary.

                          4) Only for systems with WIN XP:
                          This tip is designed for increased BROADBAND speed only in Windows XP, while using standard Network Interface cards (NIC) that are connected to ADSL modems, or when using any directly-connected USB ADSL modem.

                          To speed up the Internet connection speed we need to configure a special buffer in the computer's memory in order to enable it to better deal with interrupts made from the NIC or the USB modem.

                          This tip is only recommended if you have 256MB RAM or higher.

                          Step #1 - Identify the IRQ used by the NIC/USB modem

                          1. Open the System Information tool by running MSINFO32.EXE from the Run command.
                          2. Expand System Summary > Hardware Resources > IRQs.
                          3. Look for the listing made for your NIC (in my case - a Intel® PRO/100+ Management Adapter). Note the IRQ next to the specified line (in my case - IRQ21).

                          In case o[censored]SB modems you will first need to find the right USB device used by your modem. Follow these steps:

                          1. Open the Device Manager tool by running DEVMGMT.MSC from the Run command (or by right-clicking My Computer > Hardware tab > Device Manager button).
                          2. Scroll down to Universal Serial Bus controllers and expand it.
                          3. Right-click the USB Root Hub and select Properties. Note that you might need to do so for all listed USB Root hubs (if there are more than one) in order to find the right one.
                          4. In the Power tab, look for your USB ADSL modem.
                          5. In the Resources tab look for the assigned IRQ (in this case - IRQ21).
                          6. This is the IRQ we're looking for.

                          Note: IRQs and modem names might vary...

                          Step #2 - Modify the system.ini file

                          1. Run SYSEDIT.EXE from the Run command.
                          2. Expand the system.ini file window.
                          3. Scroll down almost to the end of the file till you find a line called [386enh].
                          4. Press Enter to make one blank line, and in that line type IrqX=4096 where X is the designated IRQ number we found in step #1, in my case it's IRQ21.

                          Note: This line IS CASE SENSITIVE!!!

                          5. Click on the File menu, then choose Save.
                          6. Close SYSEDIT and reboot your computer.

                          Done. Speed improvement will be noticed after the computer reboots.

                          5) This is rather a straight forward tip, and effect is immediate.
                          Make sure you Log on as Administrator, not as a user with Administrator privileges.
                          Start-> Run-> type gpedit.msc
                          You will see [Local Computer Policy]
                          Open [Computer Configuration]
                          Expand the [Administrative Templates] branch
                          Expand the [Network] branch
                          Highlight [QoS Packet Scheduler]
                          Double-click [Limit Reservable Bandwidth]
                          Check [Enabled]
                          Change [Bandwidth limit %] to 0 %
                          Click [Apply] [OK]
                          Restart (Reboot)

                          i am confused bcoz of difference between kbps and KBps, but i think we r getting according to tariff bcoz according to 750+, we should get 256kbps speed that means 32KBps, bcoz
                          1 BYTE = 8 bits, that means we must get 8*32KBps=256kbps, the required speed for our tariff.
                          you said that you got 25 to 35 KBps, therefore i think you are getting the actual dumb speed.for

                          BSNL Broadband Home 500 — Low speed

                          At present I am getting speed of 20 kBps whereas I use to get more than 200 mbps. I have complained the matter with Govindpura exchange, same was attended immediately, speed improved to 200 mbps, but only for that single day. I have emailed but no positive results received till date. Suggest if I should switchover to another network.

                          BSNL — reduction of Rs.500/-one time charges

                          Sir,
                          I am having BSNL phone[protected] . Previously I have broadband connection and disconnected after one year use. Now again I applied for broad band connection and is activated on 28th of November,2009. I am having my own modem. As this is old connection, no BSNL person has attended to any work for this connection at my door steps except activating at data centre. But, I was charged Rs.500/- as one time charges which was not disclosed at the time of applying for connection. I have given written compliant regarding this in BSNL office at Saroornagar, Hyderabad. But not responded so far. I request you to deduct the said charges immediately.

                          I AM USING YOUR BSNL BRODBAND AND MY PLAN IS 750 COMBO THE OFFERED SPEED FOR THIS PLAN IS 512 KBPS BUT IN REALITY WHEN I TALK ABOUT MAXIMUN SPEED IT IS ONLY 60 KBPS I AM FED UP WITH IT SINCE MY MANY COMPLAINS I HAVENT RECIEVED ANY RESPOND OF MY COMPLAINS SO THIS TIME PLEASE LOOK OVER IT.
                          You are getting the correct speed. The speed they mention is 512 KbPS (note the small 'b'). That is kilobits per second not kilobytes.

                          I have subscribed for BSNL Broadband few days back.
                          I have applied for Rs.900 plan . As per the plan i should be provided with 4mbps upto 8gb of data transfer.

                          but i am getting only 1.8mbps speed. i have complained to the BSNL Customer care about this issue and registered a complaint.
                          2 days later i got a message that MY complaint is closed without any action being undertaken.

                          I have complained to the concerned officers in the BSNL office itself for atleast 5times., they have promised me that the connection will be upgraded.
                          But my Connection is not yet upgraded , still i get only 1.8 mbps speed.
                          please help me in this issue..

                          i have also broadband connection of bsnl at my home. now my running plan is 4 mbps of 990 indian ruppes. but i also can't get a good and original speed.

                                I was using a wimax connection for almost one year , Since i got transferred to another city i gave request to disconnect it got it disconnected it on July 15th 2011, Last novemeber i got a bill and on enquiry based on my written request i was informed that due to some software upgradation it was wrongly send and to ignore it. Today i am getting calls from revenue recovery department to settle a total of 9000 rupees .

                                I just cant understand what is happening with this Govt office , they are not even ready to look into the matter nor ready to provide answers , I am now going from table to table for geting a proper service.

                                  My new land line[protected] has been fault ( no dial tone ), i have register complaint more than 20 days now. two men came on the second day of complaint and said that their is a fault in the wire and will be fixed.

                                  it has been more than 20 days now and i have been daily going to the exchange to get help, all they say is will send help the next day.

                                  BSNL has to do something regards to this, this is really a bad support provided by them.

                                  please take immediate actions.

                                    Calling customer complaint was of no help repeatedly.
                                    Now every month i get a message of renewing my caller tune without giving an option of continue or discontinue.

                                      My landline phone[protected] is been dead since 2 months. I had registered a complaint on automatic complaint booking number, but since then no action has been taken. Neither any reason has been communicated for why it has been delayed & whenever i call customer care i'm not getting any response, they are simply disconnecting the call.
                                      BSNL has become worst service then Airtel.

                                      From past 10days my BSNL Phone is dead (Ph.[protected]. Repeated complaint booking has yeilded no results. A phone service accepts the complaint but no reference number is provided for follow up. Customer care numbers are not updated on the website too. I have taken internet facilites from BSNL too. Both land line and internet are not working.

                                      Our Phone # 28510563 is not functional on and off for last one and a half month and we have not been able to utilize even the free calls allotted to us.

                                      Even after repeated complaints, nothing seems to be happening and we are tired of owning country's prestigious telephone connection.

                                        MY Phone[protected] is dead from past one month, I first raised a complaint on[protected], the docket no. was 174. This was closed without rectifying the Phone service, I raised a complaint again on[protected], The docket no. is [protected], This is still open. My Phone service is still not restored. I also have a Internet Service attached to my land line this is also not working. This has created severe hardship and loss of around 500 rupees every month(without using service).
