Dear Sir, We would like to highlight some of the points pertaining to our vacation trip with family. Though I might not be able to jot down all the points in one go but as and when I remember any incidences, I shall keep on adding the email in due course of time. I ( RAJESH VISHWA and FAMILY) started my vacation package of European whirl thinking Cox and Kings is the best tour operator, however please go thorough what and how we had been treated: 1) In London very first day, your bus driver Mr. Paul started the dialogue very rudely..."If you will behave well, I will behave well and if you will behave bad, I will also". DO you feel this was required to be said? Do you feel that we had gone there to fight with someone? 2) I was travelling with my wife and two kids 10 yrs old and 5 yrs old and I had been assured firmly that most of the time I shall get interconnected room. I had paid full price for 4 person and was not interested in any discount for kids. I had taken the package from Sales Personnel Mrs. Girisha Agarwal and Mr. Ambuj Sharma from Cox and Kings Cannaught place office. However when I had requested the same in London and other places to Mr. Sunil Bhatt (Tour Manager), he completely denied saying that I have not got such intimation. I kept quite. Later on during the tour in the bus itself everybody started saying to Mr. Sunil Bhatt that Mr. Rajesh Vishwa has the smallest kids in the whole bus and should be given the interconnected bus. He said he is not giving such rooms to anyone otherwise there will be big fight. Then and there only two newly married couples said that we had been given interconnected rooms which they locked from both sides as they were feeling very uncomfortable as to why we had been given interconnected rooms. It is really ridiculous. Finally at only one place for one night we got interconnected room. Though I heard myself at one location at the reception counter, the hotel manager was saying Mr. Sunil Bhatt that there are interconnected rooms available still he did not provide the same to me. 3) Enroute to Glacier 3000 my both kids started having loose motions on top of the hill. when I said the same to Mr. Sunil Bhatt, he said what can I do for this. Not only this he thrashed me saying that you will miss some of the activities and he does not know anything. Later on when we came back to hotel to my surprise I could find that there were atleast 15 people having stomach issue/loose motions and other related issues. When I intimated Mr. Sunil Bhatt the same, he said casually...OK, I will see and no other reaction. 4) We had gone for Lido show where in soft drinks/champagne was to be served. There my kids and also one of other co-passenger's kids were not given cold drinks as Mr. Sunil Bhatt had given kids ticket for our kids, though we had paid for full ticket. Later on after going through embarrassment and discussion with Mr. Sunil we could get soft drinks for our kids. Not only this, during the tour at other places also we were given child ticket for my kids and other co passenger's kids. Once he was distributing some ticket to us and he asked me you are two adults and two kids then I said but I have paid for 4 full ticket then showed me his eyes very badly as if I made some blunder by saying this. 5) On prelast night, when one of the senior level person (aged >55 yrs)and we all were having some discussion with Mr. Sunil for all these issues. I was just surprised to see how a tour manager can show his finger to him and talk with raise voice. He also stated that I am contract with M/s Cox and Kings and I do not know anything and am not responsible for anything. 6) One of the most disturbing point...Mr. Paul started moving bus and was shouting when my 5 yrs old daughter had just started (infact she had put very first step on bus) climbing the bus from the rear door and Mr. Sunil was standing on the front door. Do you think that you would have escaped if anything would have happened? There are so many points to write and will be keep on updating once I get time. I would also expect other co-passenger's to write their experiences without hesitation. I had never expected such a tour manager for such a lovely package. Package was designed very nicely but the execution was very bad. We all have felt that our so much of money have gone waste. Please note that even if 5 persons give such feed back and shows his inconveniences, I shall definitely go to court of law seeking justice for inconveniences and endangering my daughter's life by you. You should know how to behave and what kind of person should be kept for such an important family package trip. Actually we Indians have mentality of "LEAVE IT / FORGET IT" but I would request all the members to wake up and know your rights and fight for your right.     My husband and I had planned a trip to Singapore and Thailand(From 29th August to 5th September) to celebrate our first marriage anniversary. We approached Cox and Kings for helping us with our visa processes and signed up for the Krabi Free and Easy Tour offered by them .


    All the documents were duly submitted and advance payment had been made(19th July) towards the same almost month and a half before travel to avoid any last minute hassle.

    After constant follow-up from our side, to our EXTREME ANGUISH, we were informed on 8th August(Friday evening) OF THE LOSS OF MY HUSBAND'S PASSPORT. The passport has a valid US visa, the loss of which would have serious consequences. Apart from this, the trip we had planned is to celebrate our first marriage anniversary and has a lot personal significance. Also our flight tickets and hotel bookings worth more than a LAKH rupees has been already done.

    While the team has assured to assist us, even the first step - ie filing the FIR has not been done yet. In fact, the legal team from Cox and Kings had the audacity to ask us to tell the Police that we had lost the passports on our own, so that the FIR process could be expedited.


    Of course we refused - but our vacation(scheduled for this month end) appears a distant dream now.

    We categorically demand FULL COMPENSATION for the undue STRESS, TRAUMA and MONETARY LOSS incurred because of THEIR GROSS NEGLIGENCE. We demand that they make arrangements to ensure we travel on time. We are apalled and disgusted by the fact a Travel agency that spends lakhs of rupees on marketing cannot ensure security of their customers artifacts.
    This is the second time we are having such a harrowing experience with Cox and Kings. We had faced MULIPLE HASSLES LAST YEAR DURING OUR EUROPE TRIP - starting from delay in visa to sub-standard hotel bookings. Cox and Kings have lost their credibility in ours, family members, friends and colleagues eyes.

    Unless this issue is resolved by Cox and Kings at the earliest, we will be forced to seek legal counsel.

      I am left with immense anguish and mental trauma after I have been informed of the loss of my passport (with a US Visa) given to your company, Cox and Kings on July 19, 2014 for the purpose of obtainment of Thai Visa, has been lost by you Please note that my Passport has a Valid US Visa and the loss of the same would have very serious consequences. Apart from this, the trip we had planned is to celebrate our marriage anniversary and has a lot personal significance. Also our flight tickets and hotel bookings worth more than a lakh has been done Further, my tickets have been booked for travel to Singapore on August 29, 2014. While your team has assured me of assistance, I just wanted to bring to your notice to TREAT THIS WITH PRIORITY. I request you to make all serious efforts in tracing back the passport. In case this is not forthcoming, I expect you to fully compensate me for all the losses arising out of this. Also I expect your immediate assistance and action of your team on the way forward. I would expect swift response from your side.

        I have submitted my application on 25jul. It says 3 to 5 business day.after 5 business days I called out from work n went to ask them lost my one day work right here.since they never answer phone.when I get there they said ur passport in process and it's i. Consulate.so straight 5 days I went again and and ask same problem so they don't know at all ...then the next Monday after the weekend ask the one of high member of consulate seems very nice men and lady.they checked it they told me application was never recieved here.then now I was100%sure that they have never been summitted my application.so I went cox and king in ny and ask they refused to give my legal paper and finally I call th cops and they found my passport lying there... I been going straight 6, 7 dats to them requesting Imy husband is sick and they don't evn care plus they lied its in process .ghe application never went to consulate .i lost my flight ticket for four people around 2000$
        Now I want to claim the fees of visa.since they didnot work at all.visa was never issued. They are cheater, lyer, .
        I am sure they done it for lot of people.

          We booked 'Marvels of Europe with 2 Nights Paris Free' from Cox and Kings.I, along with my father had been asked to reach New Delhi on 14.04.2014 for visa interview purpose at Swiss Embassy, New Delhi. We reached New Delhi on 13.04.2014 and were present at the Swiss Embassy from 9am on 14-Apr-2014. The security at the embassy did not allow us to enter as our name did not feature in their interviewee list.They asked us to leave the premises and shut the gate on 12 O'clock and still Cox&Kings people were continuously asking us to wait further in foot-path. We learned that there was no confirmation at all about our interview on 14.04.2014. We had our return planned for same day only(to Kolkata by 14th April 5pm Kolkata Rajdhani) since the interview process was supposed to be over by 1pm. At 4.30 PM we were asked to stay back at New Delhi for another day because our interview had been rescheduled on next day (15.04.2014). We had to cancel our Rajdhani ticket of 14.04.2014, had to book for another day in Delhi and had to book flight tickets back to Kolkata for 15.04.2014. It is very obvious that you won't get train tickets from Delhi to Kolkata after 4:30pm for the very next day. So we had to pay the flight fare. After getting this information we have asked them several times to send the confirmation note of 14th April based on which we came to New Delhi.We have also asked them to confirm us that they will reimburse the extra expenses we had to bear due to the consequences we faced because of error made by their end.But it is very shameful that since 14.04.2014 we have not received any answer from them.I have lodge the complain on 25th April, given them more than one month to enquiry about it and mailed them again on 30.05.2014.But it is not-at-all acceptable that they would send just a mail regarding updating me shortly and remained silent for 6 weeks!!

            I wish to inform you that I have booked a tour package named “Europeon Experience” for two families (5 members) for the period 14th June to 22nd June 2014 through your company. We have booked this trip through your office in Karnal (Haryana). We have heard a lot and seen lot of advertisements of your company. However, it was a not a good experience. I wish to bring to your notice following matters which are serious in nature. This is a consumer market. Social media is very strong and technology has brought more transparency. Even than, how can your company representatives take it easy to cheat on the clients who put on full faith and give you all advance payment which is not a small amount. And families like us which are middle families pay you out of hard earned savings. (1) Your representative has promised us to start in the early morning of 14th June i.e. near 2 or 3 am and it was told that we shall reach London by 12 pm (afternoon). Accordingly, we were having one and half day there. But your representative has changed the departure schedule according to their convenience. They have given ticket of 2 pm (afternoon) and we reached there in the night near 8 pm. It has killed our one day tour of London. (2) Madaurodam in Netherland, this spot was on the way. You representative (Mr. Poras Daruwalla) said this is a good place to visit. We all had agreed and visited there. They have have charged 25 Euro per head whereas the price was very less. (3) Later on the other day we were entering Switzerland, Rhinefall was on the way and Mr. Daruwalla again asked us to visit this place and charged us 20 Euro per Audlt and 15 Euro per child where as actual price was 7 Euro per adult and 3.5 Euro per child. Since, it was second chance; we talked to him and realized him that he is cheating us. Then he said he would talk to office and arrange for refund. Next day he refunded 15 Euro per person. It is not a good practice to cheat the customers who are there with you on full faith. (4) I have contact numbers and email id of all the families in our tour. They were also very annoyed. (5) Worst part is still there, According to the given itinerary last day you have to take us to Brussels, Belgium and departure was from there. But your tour manager said he will drop us at Paris Airport at 11 am. If you want to visit Paris deposit your luggage at Airport and visit Paris own your own. Company has saved money by withdrawing / changing tour to Belgium. If you have to take us to Belgium than you have to spend more money and time on 22nd June. But your tour manager did not do that and saved money of company at our cost. When we ask him about this he said we may talk to company. But to take best benefit of available time we ask him how can he help us. He said I can take you to Paris tour on company coach but your all have to pay 20 Euro per head same price for child. We were cheated on two fronts, one you have not fulfill your commitment of Belgium visit and second charged us extra for the same day paris local tour. It is a BREACH OF TRUST. Your company took full payment in advance than you manipulate the programme and itinerary for your financial benefits. The promises made before taking payments where all shattered. Behavior and way of talking was also changed dramatically after making full payment. Your employee never pick phone at first call and changed the programme own their own. They have never consulted us or even told us about the changes they made. My lawyer has advised me to approach Consumer court and fill complaint with SEBI against the company and all the directors. Board of Directors 1. Mr. A. B. M. Good 2. Mr. Ajay Ajit Peter Kerkar and 3. Ms. Urrshila Kerkar. Independent Directors 1. Mr. Pesi Patel, B.com 2. Mr. Mahalinga Narayanan, M.com, Degree in Law. 3. Mr. Subhash Chandra Bhargava, B.com, Chartered Accountant. Company Secretary – Ms. Rashmi Jain I have talked to other families also they have agreed with me and are interested in taking a strong stand. I shall wait for your reply in 20 days.                 I had booked COX AND KINGS Leh Ladakh Delight Package from COX AND KINGS PRABHAT Road Pune branch. While booking I had booked for Total Per person package cost of 37, 200. All the Payment had already been done . I had already been following up with them on my payment status since last one and half months still they hadn't confirmed same . They confirmed it today when I visited there office. My Departure date is 28th June 2014 Ex Delhi. Now Suddenly today i.e 20th June 2014 7 days before my departure I got a call from Cox and Kings Prabhat Road Pune office that i need to pay Govt Tax extra. As per the Package I was agreed the Total Cost per person was agreed upon 37200. For asking extra cash they are giving me any reason like its insurance tax, its govt tax etc but when I had booked the tour I was explicitly mentioned its TOTAL COST. I really hope they understand the meaning of total cost !! Its really unfair to ask customers to ask for money on last moment and harass them. Please note I had added one person almost 3 months before date . Ideally the per person cost gets reduced with triple sharing basis but they started giving me lame excuses . Please avoid these guys !!!

                  Europe tour most horrible tour experience on tour and after tour, no one is bothered to even take a review of the same, inspite of writing so much. Cox and Kings have cheated people by only taking Lakhs of amount and not even having 1% satisfaction, Don't ever take this, they should shut down, Cheaters Robbers...Worst experience ever, please do not take cox and kings tour ever.

                  Never take this, they only cheat with you, horrible experience.
                  i have got a mail from cox and kings, where they say, we will improve for future. whats the point, every one says that, but what of me who have gone through this is giving them feedback to improve after spending lakhs.


                  this is a casual way of handling, neither any one has contacted me on this . rubbish horrible cox and kings team.

                    I had paid an advance amount of INR 20, 000 to cox and kings for andaman trip in december and was booked in deluxe category where I was to be provided 3 star and above accomodation.My travel date was 16 dec and even by 10 dec they did not share the hotel details and at the last moment told me the hotel . on checking the hotel i realised they were un rated hotels. I expressed my displeasure at the hotel option provided and asked to cancel my package and refund the advance. Also the last minute airfare shot up and my trip was beyond the budget. I have been following up with the cox and kings team regularly for the past 5 months now and have not received any refund till date. I want the Cox and King to refund the 20, 000 advance along with interest immediately. Failing to do so, I will be taking legal help to claim for damages amounting to the advance paid with interest, extra money spent on airfare and mental agony caused.

                      Dear Sir, In my life will never ever use cok & kings and will advise even others not to opt for your company when planning their trips better is to plan self. 1)Ganesh informed us that support will be there throughout the trip till you return. 2) Spoke to Aprova for Cancelling the Trip as well. Very less call back. You were least bothered trying to extend our trip or anything or explaining. 3) We called Praveen three times and informed about flight delay & One day Cancellation so that we can get one day extension or so in room.In the same call informed what ever is the status mail me.Anything mail me will be checking mail for sure. 4) I informed Praveen that will not be picking the call of India No so mail me anytime. Will be checking there regularly .MUR No also send. 5) Flight we got option of shifting either for a day or two. We mailed you since no mail reply we didn’t opted as you guys were not interested in supporting us.You wont give us airport transfer or room extension. 6) We tried self for a day extension Laguna said room are booked. Shifting to other hotel would also be possible or other possibilty.But you Cok & King is worst Company for support. 7)No mail from Praveen about Status about Room Extension or Day Cancellation.He said he will be informing us.Clearly informed Praveen what ever status inform us. 8)Service sucks of Cok & Kings 9) Fraud Starts from Day 1. As Cok & Kings agent charged 300 Mur Sim Card Which actual worth is 100 rs. 10) Cok & Kings Sucks as they don’t check their E Mail at all. As we mailed on Saturday Early Morning. 11) Sat Sun Cok & Kings Don’t work. OMG 12)We mailed stating is this your service . No mail yet from Cok & Kings. 13) We wanted some one to guide us. Cok & Kings was worst at it. We took guidance from Abhishek from Pune . 14) He guided us where to get water bottle, where to get cheaper taxi, etc. As everything Aquasun which is Cok & Kings if Fraud. 15)Namrata Muthu Says she didn’t check mail. Why the heck you guys have mail ? 16) Have send u my Mauritius Mobile No too over Mail. NO reply.. As Cok & Kings were doing Fraud. 17)Room extension of the date of Dep 7 Oct. We were requesting hotel. They were saying it is upto the Travel Agency. Cok & Kings. 18) We waited there in hotel to speak to Reservation Manager.He made us wait for One Hour. 19) Room extension was also such a pain. We used to ask at reception daily twice for Room Extension. They used to say didn’t any one replied to you… 20) Laguna was also involved in Fraud with Cok & Kings. 21)We asked @ Hotel for Room Extension they said if Travel Company approves it then only. 22) After having a look of Fraud & No reply from Cok & Kings. We didn’t go to North Tour. 23) Cesla Park Extra Activities also we did our own Car. As Cok & Kings was total Fraud. 24) When payment or Finalizing Deal Cok & King works for Saturday till 4 pm and Sunday Toll free work As ganesh called me on Sunday. But when on Tour They don’t check mail and company don’t operate at all.. Total Fraud… 25)Mail also No one replied. One may be not working . All six not working for 3 to 4 Days. Better to close down Company. Cok & King Don’t Work from Saturday to Monday. But for payment you guys call on Sunday mail us on Saturday or Sunday.This is only expected from Company Cok & Kings. 26)Travel Experience is NIL. 27) After Coming back to India No one called or replied Yet. 28) I called and spoke to Sayed. Daily from 9th Oct. And Send him mail of My Experience.He informed mail has been sent.She will reply. He asked By Monday she will reply. 29) No reply from Namrada Muttu as Cok & king Normal . They don’t keep their own word. They say only to do Fraud. 30) Explained all the things to Sayed.I informed him everything he said will inform Namrada Muttu. 31) As expected Namrada Mutu is planning for full Fraud.She didn't spoke to Sayed. Where as I have mailed please speak to Sayed for more detailed explanation. 32)I spoke to Namrada and informed we mailed when we were in Mauritus. She is telling no mail has been unanswered. Lol… Fraud again. We have sent items in Mail. 33) I infomred Namrada Mutu that was speaking daily to Sayed for reply or Status after coming back to Chennai. She called to Sayed in Conference and asking him did he called when was in Mauritius. 34) She asked to send me all mails which I sent when was in Mauritus. I wanted her to acknowledge as I am well verse with Cok & King. They will deny after some time. 35) I called up Again. She spoke and she wanted time till end of Day to reply to mail or acknowledge it. 36) No Cok & Kings My MUR No was also shared with you. You people didn't even bother calling. Ganesh Mahajan This is Cok & Kings all my experience. Which is far better then Individual planning. Praveen Sir Any reply of my status yet ?? Never in Life time should choose Cok & Kings . Ganesh Cok & King is at a waste. I still remember your words you go with Cok & Kings you will remember for lifetime. That is perfect words by Ganesh. Cant forget in lifetime experience. Cok & Kings no support after the client date of Travel Starts. My Experience. I AM READY TO GO MAURITUS AGAIN TO LAGUNA IF SOME ONE COMES WITH ME FORM COK & KING.                         Hi, This is Ashish from Hyderabad. I availed the tropical Andaman package, which costed about Rs.84, 000, during November 13 to November 18, 2013. I was recommended cox and kings by one of my friends due to which i contacted Aradhana (Banjara Hills branch) who redirected me to Mr.Manas Ranjan, as she deals only with international travel packages. I am extremely disappointed by the service provided as well as for cheating me by not sticking to your plan proposed in your travel vouchers. Our worst experiences started after I approached cox and kings office in banjara hills. 1. Dis-interest: I approached Mr.Manas from the cox and kings banjara hills branch to get an idea about various tourist spots and places in Andaman. I clearly mentioned to him that money is not a constraint and I would like the trip to be a memorable one. Though I did my research, I still expect you to guide me through the tourist spots in Andaman. This is when Mr.Manas suggested the tropical Andaman package to me (with no mention of visit to the Andaman tribes anywhere even after mentioning money is not a constraint). I made an initial payment of Rs.20, 200. 2. No Follow-up: After making the payment, there was no follow-up from Manas or any other representative from your team. I made calls every weekend (3 successive saturdays) and that was when I was informed that the vouchers would be given to me a week before travel. Now, do you expect me to run behind your team with my wedding date getting closer? 3. Cheating #1: In the initial package, there were no activities/ site-seeing post-afternoon on Day 2 of the travel. I asked for a visit to Marina Park, which is included in Day 2 of the attached service voucher, after taking so-called approvals from your head office. However, after the Jolly buoy ride which ended by noon, we weren't taken to the Marina Park and headed back to the city. Secondly, my wife and I were really shocked to find out that the glass bottom ride mentioned in your voucher lasted for 30 seconds!! 4. Cheating #2: I was informed by the local manager that in the tropical Andaman package, one day is dedicated for the city tour, and he himself is surprised as to why he was not informed of the same even after the payment. Though mentioned in the voucher, we didn't visit the Anthropological museum on Day 2. 5. Mr.Sachin Suryavanshi: We then called Sachin (2.30 PM) and informed him the situation. I asked him to arrange for a tour the next day, and cancel the trip to Havelock on Day 3, as it doesnt make any sense at all. Instead, I told him that I would travel to Havelock on Day 4 and spend one night over there than spend two. He said he would get back to me in 10 mins which he never did, and I called him again around 3.00 PM. I then made another call at around 3.35 PM when he yells "Aapko confirm hone ke baad call karoonga". Just imagine the situation with my wife and I waiting for a response on that island for 3 hours. It gets really dark at 5.00 PM in Andaman, almost resembles 9.00 PM in Hyderabad. He stopped picking my calls immediately after that; and he responds after 1 hour 45 mins saying that he went out for lunch (Great!). I get a call from Sachin saying he cannot reach the local (Andaman) cox and kings representative. I then make a call to the local representative who says that he has no issues at all with the change of plan but he needs a confirmation from Sachin. He also tells me that he never received a call from Sachin (are you kidding Sachin! after 2 hours!). I get a call from Sachin at 6.30 when he mentions that he cannot reschedule it. He mentioned that though the hotel reservations are made in both the islands, the main problem is with the Ferry tickets and hotel reservation is not a problem, and reschedule can be done with an additional charge of Rs.12, 000. So, i technically waste 80000 + roaming calls so far on this package, and more yet to come. I later find out that the tickets can be rescheduled (Makruz, the ferry) with a minimal charge of Rs.100 per head. (Wow! the figure is very close to Rs.12, 000). Not to mention the additional 1000 per head I paid for snorkeling! 6. Change of itinerary: As you can see, I am supposed to travel in the evening on Day 5 to port blair from Havelock. We planned the scuba diving activity accordingly. We were surprised to find out that the return ticket for the ferry was pre-booked for 10.30 AM in the morning without my prior consent. Whats the use of giving a service voucher if you cannot stick to it. I had to re-schedule the scuba diving appointment, luckily we found a slot to accommodate. 7. Breakfast: I am sure that the hotel in which you make reservation definitely knows the travel itinerary of the tourists. In that case, they should also be aware that the tourists leave by 7.30 for the daily activities. I still dont understand why the breakfast is not ready by 7.45 sharp in Hill Top international. I guess this is the case as it is complimentary. We had to get our own breakfast during the tour! (Good going!) I would be lodging a complaint in the consumer forum. However, i first wanted to let you know the issue. I made my last 2 holiday bookings in 2013 were through Makemytrip. Unfortunately, one of my friends suggested your package due to which i made this booking. I will never opt for or recommend cox and kings to any one of my friends/ relatives.

                          I recently went magnificent Europe tour 2014 on 13th May 2014, we are total 10 persons we are totally upset with their service and what they have committed not given and taken money in advance while telling their tour manager he saying I don't know any thing you have to talk to your Cox and kings agent in India, we are in Europe how we can talk to them and while talking them from Europe Cox and king office people say we have sent the message to head office mumbai but we have not get reply., as days are going on and our tour completed, They make us fool and taken money we have written 3 page complain in their official e.ail id if we not get any refund or action we will go to consumer court and other necessary action

                          Our 10 people not suffer our all other tourist have same problem, our group people and other member suggest even your enemy not to suggest or recommended Cox & king

                              Cox and Kings not to be trusted at all
                              We totally agree with what people have said in the different forums about horrifying experience while booking tours with Cox and Kings. Our experience with Cox and Kings is more or less same. We booked a tour through Cox and Kings for two persons; myself (Suresh Chandra Jeswal) and my wife (Rashmi Rekha Jeswal) for American Bonanza 14 days/13 nights starting from 02.05.2013. Since we were already having Visas for USA the guy at Andheri Office agreed to give discount for same and we settled for a discounted price and paid initial charges. They issued no invoice. Subsequently at the time of final payment, they asked for full payment and after lot of persuasion, they accepted the agreed price. They issued no bill, invoice, or Forex advice. They with lot of persuasion gave only the receipts for cheques. In the meantime, lot of their officers changed who were handling our booking. The hotels that were mentioned in their itinerary were changed at the time of issuing tickets one week prior to commencement of journey. The telephone number and name of their Airport representative at Mumbai as well as at New York were given few hours prior to reporting at airport. The shoulder bags given were of very cheap quality. No pre-departure meeting was arranged which resulted in tension throughout the journey what will happen when we reach New York.
                              After reaching New York we found that the Tour Manager was about 70 yrs. of age. The entire group had to wait for two hours at New York airport for one Mr. & Mrs. Goel who was not to come with that flight but the tour manager did not have that information though the flight ticket was booked by Cox and Kings itself. Later they came with another flight but no one was there to receive them because of lack of coordination between Cox and Kings India office and the Tour Manager. He even did not have any access, facility, or e-mails.
                              The hotels throughout the tour were inferior except at one or two places. In fact hotel at New York was arranged in New Jersey involving 2 hours journey from New York resulting that most of the time was wasted in to and fro journey.
                              At one point of time during long journey from Las Vegas to L.A. the air-conditioning of the Coach was not working. Even then the tour was continued. After the group threatened to call police, the coach was changed.
                              Cox and Kings outsourced the entire tour to MAXIM Travels. To save money on the Coach Travel the Cox and Kings will always take the group to hotel after having dinner. We were left at the theme parks and other places in the morning and will be picked up only at 7 PM and then taken for dinner without bothering for the tiredness of the people. Even though some of the theme parks will close at 6 PM we will be picked up only at 7 PM to avoid two trip one from park to hotel and then from hotel to Indian Restaurant where dinner is arranged. We were always kept in dark about the exact program of the day. Even on the last day of tour in LA we were asked to come to Hotel Lobby at 11.30 AM for leaving for Airport but the coach came at 1 PM only. The entire group was furious and with intervention of some people manhandling of the Tour Manager was avoided.
                              IN NUTSHELL WE WILL NEVER GO WITH COX AND KINGS ON ANY TOURS IN FUTURE AND WE WILL ADVISE OTHERS ALSO NOT TO GO WITH THEM.

                              We have suggested to Cox and Kings through their feedback form that:
                              1. Transparency should be observed in transactions. As soon as a booking made Invoice or bill should be issued; receipts for cheques should be issued immediately upon its receipt.
                              2. Only one officer should be designated for one booking. Frequent changes shows non professionalism.
                              3. Hard copies of all documents like ticket, insurance policy should be given.
                              4. Forex transaction invoice should be given.
                              5. Forex component should be charged at the prevailing Bank Rates.
                              6. Instead of giving shoulder bags of cheap quality no need to give any bag or Good quality trolley bags like SOTC should be given. Company's name should be printed only at one place.
                              7. Pre departure meeting should be organised so that all group people may meet before travelling.
                              8. The luggage at airport should be booked together with a group tag.
                              9. The tour manager should be young, should wear a proper uniform and should carry a proper flag of Cox and Kings instead of Indian Flag. He should be provided an I-Pad so as to communicate instantly over e-mails.
                              10. Care has to be taken to ensure that minimum time is wasted in travelling. For that purpose hotels near the town should be selected.
                              11. After the days trip group should be taken to hotel and after a fresh up of about half to one hour should be taken out for dinner.
                              12. Fresno should be excluded from the itinerary. It is totally waste of time and money.
                              13. On the last day check out should be at 9 AM as was on other days. Then a local tour can be conducted as the return flight is only at 4.30 PM.
                              14. The tour Manager should accompany the Group inside the Theme Parks like tour managers of Thomas Cook and Heena Travels.
                              15. The tour manager should keep all brochures of all optional tours. He should be well conversant with the specialities of these places.
                              16. Tour Manager has to arrange journeys in such a manner that Coach stops for lunch between 1 to 1.30 pm otherwise diabetic people may fell ill.
                              17. After completion of tour the Head Office of Cox and Kings should e-mail feed back forms to all persons for their feedback.
                              18. Feedback form should contain a column about the problems faced by the client during the tour.
                              Anyway I will not be travelling with Cox and Kings again and I think none of the persons in this group will ever travel by Cox and Kings. In fact we are going to post our bad experiences through various websites to make people aware about your company. Thx

                                Cox & Kings had advertised its Sikkim Tour under bharat dekho as a Group tour. As I was planning to travel with my mother & my 5 years old son, I booked the same. Date was 18th May-24th May 2013. We were 2 ladies travelling with a 5 yrs old child & that was the real reason for opting for a group tour as you get company as well as its a safer option than travelling by yourself. However just 2 days before the scheduled tour , when I got a mail from their coordinator about the tour details/ itenary etc ,a very small line in the mail stated that my Family was the ONLY family travelling in this tour.
                                I was really shocked with this. People have their reasons for preferring & travelling with groups. In case groups are not formed the least, anyone would have done was to inform us . But no. They went right ahead , did all the bookings & just 2 days prior to the we came to know that only 3 o[censored]s ( 2 ladies & 1 child ) will be travelling .This is just misleading the people.May be they did not want to refund our money. On being questioned we never even got a proper response. They just kept saying that we need not worry about our safety & they had good vendors & they will give us a very responsible guide cum driver etc.

                                Once we reached sikkim( Bagdogra Airport itself) there was no trace of Cox & Kings at all. The entire tour was managed by a large number of local travel agents .Each day there was a different car & driver. The tourist spots were located far off locations with long drives through isolated roads sometimes. God knows on whose behalf Cox & Kings were they giving us assurances of our safety. I am totally disappointed with them & would not recommend them to anyone in future.

                                cox & kings — Arbitrary deduction of money for change of package

                                the company arbitraly charged Rs.15000/- per head for 3 adults for change in package from Europe to far East. In far east they did not take us to Coral island and did not refund the amount charged for that tour.

                                  While going to Dubai in Oct'12 from safety point of view I purchased on Forex travel card [protected] of Axis bank form the agent and agent was the employee of cox and kings ltd.
                                  He loaded 12400 AED (UAE Currency) on the card between 29/09/2012 to 01/10/2012 as per my request and I had inquired before taking card that how much withdrawal charges will be there per transaction and the communication of their agent person was that 2 USD. But in effect after return form Dubai, I asked my forex card statement form the agent Mt Amrit bhai on 11/10/2012 then on checking of the statement I was shocked that my card account was debited form 615.32 AED on account of only three withdrawals and 4 purchases. in place of debit of 6 USD on three withdrawals.
                                  There after I followed with the agent Mr Amrit bhai by sending regular mails and finally I got part refund Rs 4040/- by way of Axis bank cheque on 30/11/2012 and still the balance of RS 4718.11 is to be recovered and plus interest and harassment penalty form them.
                                  The copy of all documents is ready with me to produce .
                                  The name of the bank official who contacted is Mr RAJKUMAR SENGOTRA and this designation s Territory Sales Manager (RETAIL FOREX & REMITTANCES -INTERNATIONAL RETAIL DEPARTMENT of Axis bank Ahmedabad and his cell no is [protected].                                     Hi,

                                    This is Vinoth Balakrishnan from Chennai , India.We had availed for Fun Filled Thailand-Family package which costed about Rs.75000 for me and my wife on 5th April 2013. The main reason why we opted for Cox and Kings agency(Anna Nagar branch) for our Thailand holiday as they gave us a good experience in our earlier trip to Mauritius about a year and a half years ago. But this time we are terribly disappointed with our recent trip to Bangkok-Pattaya. They have completely ruined our vacation this time and it seems to us that our hard earned money went into the drain. We enquired other reputed travel agencies and we realized that Cox and Kings is expensive compared to other agencies but we were ready to compromise our money hoping that they will give us good experience like our earlier trip to Mauritius.

                                    Our worst experience started from the day one we approached Cox and Kings, Anna Nagar for enquiring about the Thailand package. To mention few instances,

                                    1. LACK OF INTEREST - We had visited Cox and Kings, Anna Nagar branch to get an idea about the various destinations and their respective packages. Since Vijay Thooyamani was taking charge of our earlier trip to Mauritius, we approached him for our next trip. But since he did not have the time, he directed us to Arjun who in turn redirected us to Sharmila. Our problem started right from here. Sharmila told us that she’ll send some details about a few packages within a day but we did not get any mail or hear from any of them till we called up the next week to remind them about the mail details. We informed this lack of response to Vijay but he promised that things will be better henceforth, but unfortunately it didn’t.
                                    2. LACK OF FOLLOW UP - After assurance from Vijay for better response from the employees in Cox and Kings, Anna Nagar branch, we paid 50% of the package price (Rs.40000) and they said that they’ll inform us about the date for remaining payment but again we didn’t get any remainder calls from them until it was almost nearing our trip date.
                                    3. VISA - We had asked them to include Visa charges also as we wanted to avoid the hassles of standing for hours together in the Immigration queue at the Bangkok airport. We also paid the Visa charges in our initial amount itself but they again failed to follow up and again we had to remind them about collecting our passports for Visa formalities but it was too late and we ended up standing up in the long queue at the airport.
                                    4. FAMILY PACKAGE ?? – The main reason why we opted for Family package is to make sure that only decent families and couples accompany us in our tour just like how it was in our earlier trip to Mauritius but we were shocked to find group of drunken indecent men accompanying us in our trip from Bangkok airport to Pattaya hotel. My wife was the only female member in that entire group and we felt very very very uneasy in our 2 hour travel to Pattaya. They were making disgusting comments, shouting at the top of their voices and snoring throughout the 2 hour travel.
                                    5. LACK OF RESPONSE – We reported this horrifying experience by making an international call to Vijay Thooyamani and Sharmila who assured us initially that it will be taken care of and they will get back to us within 10 mins. But even after one hour we didn’t get any response from them and again we had make another international call at our own expense. This time the call was attended by Sharmila( though we called Vijay’s mobile phone) and she told us to adjust since the tour was now taken charge by an local agency called DS Travels. – “IS THIS OUR PROBLEM ???? IF WE KNEW THIS SITUATION WOULD COME, WE WOULD HAVE NEVER EVEN DREAMT OF GOING FOR COX AND KINGS!!!!”
                                    6. NO ACTION TAKEN – Inspite of reporting our problems, it was not addressed and we continued to experience hell with those indecent drunken men as we did not want to sit in our hotel room after paying almost Rs.75000 for the trip. We called one of the contact person of DS travels in Bangkok and explained our situation. Thankfully he understood our difficulty and mapped us to an Indian couple but it was almost the end of our trip.

                                    We have mentioned only few points of our trauma. We can go on writing such points but then it would be a never ending list.

                                    We are middle class people who have to work and save money for each trip and this was supposed to be our dream vacation. Now when we think of it, we are flooded with bitter memories and our money has gone into the drain. It would definitely take us some time to come out the trauma that we experienced during this hell trip.

                                    I work in one of the leading IT organizations and I directed my colleagues to Cox and Kings, Anna Nagar for their family tours when we went to Mauritius. But after this trip to Thailand, I will never recommend any of my friends or family to Cox and Kings tours especially Anna Nagar branch.

                                    Thanks for the bitter experience to Cox And Kings, Anna Nagar – Vijay Thooyamani, Arjun and SHARMILA !!! We lost both our money and our peace of mind. We can never recall this tour what was supposed to be a dream vacation…

                                      I Made a huge mistake when i picked Cox and Kings are my travel agents when planning my honey moon trip to Sri Lanka.
                                      initially they did impress me with timely bookings and regular followups. but little did i know what was in store for me. Firstly, i was travelling one day after my wedding, so couldnt research a lot and hence had trusted a brand like Cox and Kings for the travel bookings.

                                      Firstly - i was forced to take Forex from them by their Forex Desk agent, Mr Mahesh Kadam.
                                      He promised this was the best rate and i quickly checked on google but found it to be out of place.
                                      Here i wast fleeced in paying almost 4000 INR more than what i found was easily available in Lanka or even at the airport.
                                      Secondly, when reached there, they had handed over the entire tour to a local operator Jetwings, and had nothing to do apart from taking their comission and going out of the scene.

                                      The Tour guide assigned to us, was tying his best and although i was promised an english speaking guide + Driver, it was a near challenege to communicate our ideas to him.

                                      Next, every time we asked him to stop over for meals, a meal was never less than a 1000 lankan rupees per person.
                                      i was shocked to know Lanka was such an expensive country, only to discover later, that these tour guides deliberately take tourists to expensive places, where they get a hefty comission and also a free meal.
                                      so the 2000 lankan rupees per meal for both o[censored]s, i was spendin was actually 800 for our meal + 1200 - guide's comission + food !!!!

                                      Bloody cheaters.

                                      Next i had paid and was promised a 3* accomodation for the entire duration of my trip. But all hell broke loose on my stay at bentota beach. Even the scamming guide coudlnt believe that we were stationed in such a dingy - shady logde. it wasnt even a hotel.
                                      it was Christmas eve and this Hotel/lodge was all empty, it was just us one couple for all two days i was forced to stay there !!!
                                      I called Mr Chamil, the local Agent i was assignedn. he was simply trying to get himself out of it and cared the least, once that they had got my money. They did nothing even when i threatened to walk out of that plaec, they said they cannot make alternative arrangements !!!
                                      this Lodge "Hansa Villa" has dirty rooms, bad food, scary lighting, minmal staff and no toilet paper ! no soap and cheap bedsheets and plastic chairs. this explained why of the 30 some rooms they had, we were the only ones to have been stuck in one and rest were empty ! Neither Cox and Kings nor jetaways tours are taking responsiility of this horrible experience which spoiled a special occasion like a honey moon.
                                      once a tour guide promises a 3* acomodation or alternative siimilar accomodation in case of booking issues, this alternative is still supposed to be a 3 star. then why was i given a non starred dorm !

                                      one sincere advise, do not use Coz and Kings or Jetwings tours in lanka.
                                      it was a 82k go down the drain due to a spoiler that came my way.

                                      If i do not see a proper response to my complaint, im sure going to flood all the public Forums with this complaint. and save some dissapointment for other travellers out there.

                                        I had booked south-east asia tour through Cox and Kings. I covered Thailand, Malaysia and Bali. The tour was not well organized by Cox and Kings. In other words, it was dreadful and appalling. Customer service was always lacking in standards. Pre-tour info/briefing was not given. Lot of aspects and inclusions about the tour were not informed to me. During the tour, the sightseeing trips were in disarray. The travel agent did not co-ordinate pick-up times with me for sightseeing. More often than not, the pick-up was late. They also missed showing certain sightseeing places during the tour which were worth watching. In addition, the taxi drivers were always in a hurry to arrive at their destination which made the drive unpleasant. I regret availing the services of Cox and Kings for my holiday tour. I strongly do not recommend Cox and Kings to other customers.
