That on 23 rd of April, 2008, I bought a dish tv connection and from the very begining it is not working properly infact it is very bad, cheap and after sales services of dish tv are very bad.
I tried the call center number[protected]and no one is picking the call (either it say sorry phone busy or sorry no one is picking up). If the call connects luckily then they said we will send our mechanic or representative in 24 hours but no body comes. I made a complaint several times (complaint no. is 134451 and[protected] but no use of registering a complaint on customer care because they never take it seriously. my dish tv is not working properly the picture and sound are vibrating, colour quality is also very bad. the picture quality of 15-20 channels are very bad.First time I faced situation like this.The dish tv has deficiency and imperfection in services and unfair trade practices.I will have to take them to consumer court if they did not take an action on my complaint.

    We have two connections of dish tv and the child connection is not in service since 13th june, leading to unnessesary mental tension to my family. My 12 year old daughter has not been able to enjoy her holidays as she has been missing all her favourite sitcoms.
    would request you to rectify it at the earliest and comensate for the loss by giving free subsritions of 10 movies.my viewcard no is [protected]

    Dish TV — no service after repeated calls

    I got dishtv in mid november.just some days later ome channels start missing.I contacted their customer care they gave me a complaint no. and said that an action would be taken within48 hours .
    from that day to today i have contacted them several times,mailed them,leave feedback on their site ,but of no help.
    Everytime i was given a ref. no and told that my complaint has been forwarded to concerned person but nothing happens.now i contacted them to take it back and give me back my money.they are saying that out of 4000 Rs. i pay them ,i'll get back only 400 Rs.
    It is still within the warranty period of 2 months but that is going to end tw days later .What to do ,please help

    Dish tv connection — No servicing

    I have made atleast 50 complained in last 2-3 month in Dish TV customer care service. They can see in their record. But no response is coming from Dish TV. Last 3day I am anable to see any of channel. Dish tv customer care is saying, in 24 hr. your reprasentative will come and solve the problem. But no. one turned up. Many 24hr. have been passed. I don't know how the Dish tv service is working. I am totally unsatisfied. Before that I also faced such problem many times. But instead of continious complained no service is done.

    Also I have not got my Dish tv antenna. Presently my dish tv is working through common antenna for whole building at the top of building.
    Take immediate action in this regards is highly appreciable.

    DishTV — no service since one month

    I am Vamshi Gupta and my Zee network Dishtv VC No is[protected]. my complain number what I lodged is 12694158.
    It was a alignment problem which happened on Saturday evening 6 pm. Dishtv technician came down after 4 days that too after repeated calls being made to customer service.
    Next week I find the same problem again I call up customer server everyday, and guess what ? when do they come down to my place...!!! that is after one month. that is of repeated calling to customer service...

    This people have promised for one month free subscription due to CONVENIENCE they gave me... but when it came to re subscription time these people would say they would not give free subscription as its alignment problem, even though dishtv technician did not come down to my place for one month... errrrrr and the name of the agent whom I have spoken with is the great Salman... when I insisted on speaking to team leader the response what I get is Team leader is busy who would call back after 30 min.. which I was sure an another false promise.. So I insisted to stay on the line... u wont believe me guys I was on dead line for 40 min and hearing back ground sound people talking but finally to my rescue I was transfered back in the VRU where I hear Idea phone music and guide...

    I wish this thing would go into right ears about the pethatic dishtv customer service, who has a English speaking department who does not know how to respond to a customer. the only thing they know is repeat the trained few statements back as a parrot or robot.

    Dish TV — BLOCKED CONNECTION

    R/Authorities, we the firm named MOHIT DIGITAL SOLUTIONS working as a dealer of DISH TV in BALLABGARH FARIDABAD. have a complaint against a connection given by ASHOKA ELECTROVISION, 5M-21, N.I.T. FARIDABAD. Mr. Surender Bhalla (Sales Executive Mob : [protected]) offered the customer the free package of One and Half year costing 3990 with all channels.(including paid channles). It was installed on 08 July 2008. The customer name is Mr. Nand Kishore Verma, Address is Brahaman Wara, Ballabgarh. The VCC No. is [protected]. The telecaste was stopped after only one weak. The Account of customer is not updated till now.We contact Mr. Surender Bhalla many times regarding this matter but he did not take any action. The problem is as it is. Now the customer is refusing to continue the connection and customer is pressurising us to refund the charges. So please see into this matter as soon as possible.     Dish TV — NO SERVICE SINCE INSTALLATION

    Sir,
    I wish to bring to your notice the hardships encountered by us ever since we purchased DISH TV. I purchased Dish tv on 29 August 2008 at Chennai with Amudha & Co. after seeing an advertisement in a local daily (Dinamalar) stating that pay rs.2000/ and get a year’s subscription free. My viewing card number [protected].

    THEN STARTED ALL MY PROBLEMS. Two guys came and installed it on 30th evening and i got a call from Delhi customer care asking me if the viewing was good. They asked me to answer a questionnaire through the same call, and i said i cant comment unless I see the programs.
    I had opted for Tamil/Malayalam package, but the mechanics who installed told me that all the channels will be activated in 24 hours.
    I WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED...!

    I TRIED TO CONTACT CUSTOMER CARE at[protected], and[protected] as much as twenty times costing me Rs.120 on my mobile phone for the call charges alone!!! Every time they used to ask my VIEWING CARD NO, and asked me to take out the SIM CARD and re insert it. I did it almost twenty times.

    Then I contacted the people who installed dish tv for me from Chrompet, and they said, they cant do anything now, as everything is taken over from now on by customer care..!!

    THEN I GOT EXTREMELY FED UP!!! Till today, 27 September 2008, after Twenty eight Days, my dish tv connection is not operatable, and it just repeats CONTACT DISH TV CUSTOMER CARE!!! On Screen!!!’

    Dish TV — NO services,...

    This is sandeep korgaonkar.. i have opted for the dishtv dth service more than a year ago...
    Dish Tv people have come and installed the dish and the service has started... i opted for the 300 rs pack which was supposed to give me maximum channels.(150 +). however ever since i am getting very few channels only... around 50... registered many complaints... but no improvement in the service...

    Recently am not getting any channel on my tv.. ZERO channel... But am being charged for the service...more on that when i spoke to the customer care... the representative asked for more money 170... saying there is a problem with the alignment ... But when asked them to notify me via email... they did not do it... either thats the cheating ways of the company...

    They havent even registered my complaints... the representative threatened me over phone

    Dish tv connection — Removal of sub connection

    Dear Dish TV.

    I bought Dish TV (Viewing card [protected]) as parent connection with 02 'sub ' connections [protected] and [protected]. The person with the latter connection ie [protected] has moved away and has to be deleted from the payment schedule.

    Kindly do the same at the earliest and confirm

    Dish TV — Non Service

    I complained about non receipt of programmes about 10 days ago.My complaint number is 18032358. I have two subscriptions, the numbers are V.C.Nos. [protected] and [protected].
    It is impossible to get through to the Complaint Nos.which appear on the TV screen.The two numbers of Dish Care Centre in Chennai, telephone numbers 2376 4443, 4185 are also almost impossible.I did manage to get through twice and I was told that a service person would be sent immediately. So far no one has arrived.As a matter of fact a person who spoke to me this morning said that he had problems because of water logging and his problems were, therefore, ours.
    Would you consider this an appropriate answer, especially since 10 days have passed.After all, you are not compensating me for the days that you have not provided me with service.
    Frankly, but for the fact that my subscription has been paid for until March 2009, I would have switched over to Reliance or Airtel.I already have Tata Sky where the service is superb.In any event I have no intention of continuing with Dish TV despite Sharukh Khan.Your service has always been poor and there is no sign of improvement.

    Dish tv connection — Non availability of service

    Dear Sir, My VC number is[protected], Initially when connection was taken I was receiving all channels as per the package, subsequently when it was recharged I observed that some of the channels were blocked- even DD channels were also not available. Presently when I recharged paying Rs.700/- on 8th/9th of Feb 09, I observed few more channels have been blocked which include AAJTAK channels also.
    I wish to raise the issue that why immediately after recharge channels were blocked and when complaint was lodged it has been indicated that Dish to be adjusted and for that I have to pay certain amount?
    As service provider, can you reply my query -Why immediately after recharge some of the channels got blocked, which were available till previous day and why you will chage certain amount in the name of adjustment of the Dish?
    Previously also I lodged complaint but it was not addressed. If this is the system of attending complaint the one has to think twice before considering DISH TV. So far I am concern I have to change to other service provider if my problem is not resolved.

    Dish tv connection — Delay in activation/reactivation

    About one week back I bought a Dish TV Set. It worked for about a week, but since morning of 12.5.09 it has been showing on the TV screen only one and the same thing: "Call Dish TV Customer Care!". When contacted the Dish Tv Customer Care, they asked for some information/details, which were supplied immediately. But alas! the service has not been started till 5 pm of 13.5.09. It seems that after getting the required information/details, instead of taking action on them, Dish TV customer care goes to sleep!

    i totally agree man. Dish TV sucks in small cities...there customer care is pathetic and no matter what they wont take your call...they ll keep you waiting till the time your whole bal. is gone.. i regret taking it n wont recommend it to anyone..

    DishTV — loss of connection due to technical problem

    I have two dishtv connection VC no is [protected] and [protected].
    both are not working since 16th nov. I have already registered a complaint in dishtv customer support
    service on 19th nov. and complaint no is[protected] and 30984846, they said to me that they will provide the service within 24 hrs. but still now there is no responce of the distv service provider.
    when i call to customer care of dishtv they says again and again same thing, that we will appoint a technician to solve ur problem, but my problem is as it is.

      Se my story in the form of email:-

      My Recommendation, never go for DISHTV. The customer care is a bunch of leech and lazy people. They don't have any clue about what they do.
      Here goes my story that is in the form of my emails to [protected]@dishtv.in :
      Dear Sir,

      I am not sure if this mail is going to alert person of deaf system. I never felt so helpless in my life, before this.

      Just wanted to update you with the more information regarding my traumatic experience with DISHTV.

      Like a Brand Loyal fool I again contacted DISHTV customer care today and waited 10 minutes before someone could pick up my phone. Anyway the conclusion of 30 minute long call were

      - Again the supervisor did not come online and let the front desk callers tell me that he will get back to me.

      - I again got another reference number So the reference numbers I have now . 1308806 / 13174260 / 13850735 / 13360916 and I don’t remember the initial numbers that were given at the end of April and start of May.

      - Again after asking about some mail id of senior official of DISHTV, I was told [protected]@dishtv.in is the ultimate mail id and it goes to all high officials.

      - Again the front desk staff told me to wail for supervisor and cut the phone after 3 minutes of wait.

      While getting my Dish uninstalled in Gurgaon, I paid Rs 300 to your local service guys, all unofficial because I could not wait to vacate my residence there just because someone from DISHTV will come and uninstall it. (I would have been waiting till now!)

      After coming to NOIDA also if I would have paid Rs 500 to your local support person, I would have got my DISH installed ages ago. The day I got the number of local support staff from your customer care staff, I should have guessed that probably I have to give some ‘underhand amount’ to get my DISHTV installed.

      But Gentleman, now there are other options. I am moving to consumer court and trying to put this story to some responsible press chains. Probably it might uncover the ‘underhand deal’ story about such a good brand DISHTV, that higher management is not aware of!

      Hello Mr. Ranjit,

      This mail I wanted to send to higher management of DISH TV. But, could not manage to get their email id. I hope that you will spare time to go through this mail and forward to Mr. Chandra and other responsible people there. I am sure that this issue will be positively take by the management for betterment of the company.

      I would like to bring this issue to you as a customer as well as an investor with your company. This is related to the poor condition of the customer care of DISH TV.

      I was based out of Gurgaon and got a DISH TV subscription. On 29th of April 2008, I logged a request to the DISH TV Customer Care, that I am moving to Noida and would like someone to move my connection there at the new address. I was told that the transfer would be done within 24-48 hours including the installation at Noida address.

      2 days went and no one contacted us. We had to call a local vendor and get the Dish un-mounted. We brought that with us to Noida sector-62 at our new residence.

      Again there was complete silence! I called the customer care again on 10th of May regarding this and answer was – We are facing some ‘logistical’ issues. Great! They gave me a complain number and told that within 24 hrs someone will call me and install the DISH. Obviously nothing happened!

      Again after some days I called the customer care and after 35 minutes wasting my time what I got was- I apologies- and another complain number. Some days passed and on persistent call from my wife, I again called Customer care and asked that I want to talk to some senior person- I was put on hold for 25 minutes! I cut the phone and again called someone. She told that the supervisor will call be in 5 minutes as he is busy! Of course I did not get a call from the supervisor! What is the use of a supervisor if he is not able to supervise?

      I called again and I was put on hold saying that the supervisor is busy and please be on hold for some time. I was on hold for 10 minutes and the same person tells that he has talked to the supervisor and the issue will be shorted ‘today’. You guessed correct- Nothing got shorted. Somehow I got cell number of your local support staff (Mr. Pandey) and he was rude enough to tell me that he will not install the DISH until he gets the request from Backend.

      In between I kept on getting SMS that you need to pay subscription charges. And one fine day I got a call from Renewal department- your subscription is due, please renew it. I told my story to the gentleman and I was told that – Sir aap customer care se baat karo- On detailing the story to him, he just could help me by saying, Sir karenge to wahi, aap call karo…. This reminded me the days of Old BSNL, when there was MONOPOLY and Telephone Babu was everything!

      I called today to the customer care and requested to get the email id of some senior official. Reply was- Sorry sir, we don’t have their e-mail ids. I went to your Noida sector-57 office and the guard told me that no one can meet any official without appointment. And there was no number available to contact any official there!

      I am very insisting person and this has happened with me, I could just think about other customer who just would change the service provider.
      My company works in the field of Bond Building, and I am sure that you are aware of the fact that – It takes 10 times less to retain an existing customer than to get a new one. What are you doing to retain one?
      The employees and associates are your Interface with the customer. Only with the words- I apologies, This I can not solve, can I help you in something, I really regret, There was some technical issues, logistical issue- you are not going to retain a customer.
      We talk about pampering customer and see what you are doing.
      A user, after this all will be left with two options- change the company, or go to the consumer court and fight it out- gross deficiency in service! In both the condition DISH TV is loosing.

      I am sure that this story is not just happening with me. Please take it as positive feedback though my entire pain in this process is not going to lessen by any amount, but Mr. Chandra has been pioneer in some fantastic ideas in the industry and I want his ideas to RULE.

      we want your kind attention regarding your marketing and customer care dept/system. i have purchase your product on jan 2008 by big bazar kanpur u.p but sysrem insalled on 17/2/2008 from that day we ware out of station upto june 2008, we have activeted on 7/6/08 by itz card pay by net rs.162 just see your service as publicity by sharuk khan.
      I inform your system by phone[protected] that we have paid payment and ask when our sytem will work, as per assurence given by your staff(coustomer care deptt)that my stb will start to function/active from 4 to 24 hour BUT after 24hour it was not actived i again complaint by phone[protected] again got assurence of 4 to 24 hour, BUT NOT ACTIVETED AFTER 30 HOUR again complaint by phone to your system AGAIN got assurense 4 to 24 hour BUT NOT actived after 48 hour, on12/6/2008 i complaint by phone[protected] and ask the matter, why it is not activeting. as per your stream concorn people that we have not recd subscriber application form so it is not beeing actived but just after 20 sec(holding phone) he told me that we have recd copy and assured me that it is last call by me and my disc will activeted 4 to 24 hour(again abusing assurence 4 to 24 hour). BUT NOT ACTIVETED ON 13/6/2008 after 30 hour. Again i complaint on 14/6/2008 by phone[protected] i got ANSWER from your (abusing)sytem that we have not recd s.a. form.

        DISH TV THE INDIA'S D.T.H SERVICE PROVIDER IS ADVERTISING THAT DISH TV SET-TOP-BOX IS FREE..BUT WHEN CONTACTED THE DEALER HE ASKED FOR Rs 3999/- TO BE PAID AND YOU GET MOVIES FREE...DAMMM! WHAT WILL ONE DO WITH THOSE MOVIES?

        Dish TV — Dish TV fooling customers

        Dish TV, is just fooling its customers by saying that they will add New Channels like Neo Pack and other regional Channels.

        It has been more than an year, Neo package is available on all the other operators, even on Sun Direct.

        Why not on Dish TV?

        Just disgusting Dish TV. Customer Care is the worst of all the companies. If we take into account any Industry, Dish TV will hold the worst CC in the world. No prompt response. Their website is down for many days now.

        And they added Manorama, Asianet News like kind of channels in Telugu Channels pack. Do they think customers are fools to accept them as telugu channels. How many telugu subscribers woould watch Asianet and Manorama...?
        Since last one year dishtv promises over phone that new channel like Zee Maza, Zee pravah will be introducing in the network. Nearly one yearly waiting has come to end after inducting both channel in network. Thanks for Dish tv.

          Dear Sir/ Madam,

          I’m Vijay Krishna Srivastava from Guwahati and I purchased DishTV connection of 3months subscription scheme as on 25/April/2008. After couple of weeks, I’m continuously facing “No access / Signal not found” problem apart from this problem I’m also in problem of their customer care services of such a reputed group. Whenever I call at [protected] (East region) they never pick their customers calls only one line is repeated continuously “this week is for Hera phere movie order your demand movie” but I ever get the line of their customer executive to tell my problem & this phone line is chargeable also, so after 15-20 minutes of wait I’ve to cut my phone from my side. This is really a very good service of Zee network enterprise for their main customer because they know they the existing customer is in their hand, so it is good not to hear their problems. When I call at DishTV Toll free Airtel mobile no. of Nodia, they pick the phone but ask me to hold the line but after that no reply for a long time and finally they disconnect the line from their side. So this is the Goodwill of Zee network / Dish TV. I mail to dish TV number of times regarding my problem of “No access / Signal not found” which was solved but again after few days it repeated itself. This is my final e-mail to Zee network enterprise / DishTV else I’ve to prepare myself for suit a file in consumer form. I’ve a proof against your customer care executive regarding holding the customer for a longtime and disconnect the line as I record it in my mobile phone.

          DishTV — PLEASE DON'T BUY DISH TV-HORRIBLE SERVICE

          Dishtv’s service is the most horrible in the world.
          I am staying Bangalore .
          2 weeks back my TV started showing a message “check your smart card”.
          I called the customer care manay many times and they asked me to contact local dealer.
          The Local delaer redirected Bangalore Distributor- Cosmic infosystems, yet another horrible organistation with no Values for customer!.
          Cosmic service agent came to my house and told that the VC card is bad and has to be replaced and it cost Rs.400/- , The funneist part is that he didn’t have a bill/receipt for the new card or his service. He had only ajob card and he will write it in that. If you want a receipt you need to go to their office and they made me go to their office 3 times.
          At last I got a card after sitting in their office for hours.

          I am seeing first time customer taking for a ride.

          I will not recomend any one Dishtv anymore.

          DishTV — poor service by dish tv

          I am using dish tv DTH for the last 17 months. I have taken for 1 year and renewed for two months each three times. During the first year 4 times it was disconnected saying payment not made. I paid for the whole year in advance and they have disconncted 4 times. After complaining they reconnected. After renewal also they disconnect every time even if I paid 1 week before the due date. What poor service. Actually it is because of the agents mistake as they are not crediting the collected amout to dish TV. But who is responsible for this. Why the custormer to suffer. I feel it is better to go back to cable tv. Dish TV management have no control over the agents. Due to this poor customers have to suffer. I being the secretary of the society, we have decided not to renew further. I used to collect all member's money and pay to Bhagyashree enterprises at Borivali. Still I a being harassed by dish TV. I don't think they may be able to improve. This for the information of the customers who have not opted yet for dish TV.

          Dear Sir / Madam,

          I bought a DishTV connection from the DISH TV Dealer e-Tech on Jan 8th.The sales person was very interetsed in selling the dish t.v. But from the next day of installation, we were not able to see most of the channels. WE tried contacting the dealer. The person did not pick up the call most of the times. When he picked up the call also he dis not respond properly. He even said "There is no need for him to come do the service". Then we called DISH TV customer care on 9th Feb. The person who spoke raised a complaint and said a person will come to our home and solve the problem within 48 hours. But there is no response at all. I again contacted the customer care on 13th feb. I was promised that a person will be sent on 13th feb itself. But no one was sent. The promise of 48hrs has elapsed to 6 days. We have given 3000 rupees and not able to watch the channels properly. 90% of the time, 90% of the channels are not shown. the person who installed has not installed it properly and the same is not being rectified till now.
          I am also facing similar problem with DISHTV people.

          The Dish TV service really SUCKS. Won't like even to mention what happens because they already will be piling up with complaints from every corner.

          Dish Tv (Zee Network Enterprises) — Regarding Monthly subscription amount

          Hear my complaint is, I am one of the Dish TV India Ltd subscribers. I am paying regularly my subscription amount. My monthly subscription amount is Rs 150/- per month (previously It was Rs 75 & Rs 100 now it is Rs 150/-) But here the problem is they are deduction my subscription amount more than my subscription. Lot of times I have complained them but they have not turned up properly. Regarding this I am having all the mail proofs.

          I am trying explain here with one example

          I supposed to pay my subscription from January 2008. They have given one offer in November 2007 that is if you pay you 6 month subscription amount in this month you will get 5% discount, for that discount I have paid Rs 1000/- my subscription previously in Nov 2007.
          Here Rs 1000/150 = 6.66 that means I no need to pay any thing up to June 2008. But they have disconnected my connection in the month of April 2008. Again I have paid Rs 1200/- in month of April 2008. Now they are telling your next payment due will be July. How it will be?

          I have mailed several times when ever I mailed other new customer care executive will sit, again I have to explain all the story. How it is possible sir?

          Since beginning there was problem with them. I lost all my patience. It is making big tension for me. Kindly give me the solution for my problem.

          DishTV — No reception - A/c deactivated

          By mistake, despite advices from friends, I purchased a dishtv connection in Bangalore, India two years ago and suffering with different kinds of problems since then.

          Recently, I had paid two months' subscription in advance and on the same day I stopped getting the channels. I complained to the customer care many times and they said its because the angle of the dish is changed. I dont know how that can happen since its firmly fixed. They promised to send technicians to look into and rectify. Later, I used to get calls very often and it became pestering calls without any real action. People claiming from Dishtv calls me with details and tells me at the end that it is not under their jurisdiction. I started feeling that those calls are just to ridicule me. When that was conveyed to the Dishtv call centre to record my grievance, again I reeived the same treatment!

          I too work for service industry defining service standards and I get back this kind of a treatment!!

          I truly do not know what to do next. Approaching Consumer Protction Cell or again knock Dishtv doors or filing a suit in court . . . .

          Anyone has any such ill treatment received from Dishtv?

          However I've decided to campaign against this company and services at least in my circle of influence.

          Service if Dish TV is pathetic. I have experienced a number of problems with Dish TV. Even money is there on my account, they will disconnect the access and you have to call them several times to resume the service. If some tuning problem comes, they will promise you in your 1st call that they will send technician in maximum 48 hours and for me it took 9 days. Please note that I kept on calling all 9 days only they solved. So each time you call some new executive would say same thing another 48 hours. Think before you buy Dish TV it’s a big headache.

          Sarukh Khan says "thoda wish karo, dish karo" but I would say don't wish for Dish otherwise you would miss your peace...

It was activated and working fine. But someone has made payment of Rs. 152 in my account accidently. Since then my welcome plan was deactivated without my confirmation.           Dish TV India - DTH Service — Can't see movie on demand channels

          I am Tata Sky user for last 1 year.
          Recently i found the the picture just freezing, remote failing to work, even the keys at the Set Top fail. The only remedy is to switch OFF the power supply to both the TV and the Set Top. The Tata Sky is evading the problem.
          Is there any solution?

          1. Signal is always weak and lot of channels dont display due to weak signal strength.
          2. The customer care is pathetic and they speak very rudely.
          3. Technicians dont have proper tools to troubleshoot problems.

He misguided me about the packages, quality and channels. I have paid him all amount but he has not deposited that amount in Dish TV office. Now dish TV has stopped my services for not paying.           Dish DTH connection — Rude answer and service from the provider

          Hi all,

          I am using a Dish TV DTH connection at home. There is a issue with my set-top box, which will take atleast 3-6 hours to boot after a power-cut. I called up customer care for this, and I was told that I need to download some updated software to fix the issue. And also, I was asked to pay Rs. 225 + taxes for this. I am wondering why I need to pay for a software update, since the issue is with the settop box software, which is not caused because of any defect at my end. Its purely with the settop box. So why I need to pay for it. When I asked the call center executive about this, she replied very rudely saying that I need to pay ottherwise live with the issue. I had even told them to close the connection, she simply cut the call.

          Now, I am left with no other choice other than dumping my Dish DTH, for which I had spent Rs. 4000. Its purely cheating.

          Beware of Dish TV DTH service.

          DishTV — Horrible after sale service

          I purchased the STB for Dishtv on 09-08-08from m/s Manovision, Trivandrum, Kerala, a local vender of such equipments for Tatasky, sun, dishtvv etc. as promised by this vendor, dishtv people came and installed them. Within 48 hours i would get connection, I was told. But even after two they did not give connection. I called the vendor of STB who sent a person. On checking he told that connection on the top was correct. Then they refreshed and got connected. Intermittently, I could watch tv for three days in the evening. For the last ten days I have been calling the vendor and dishtv people but in vain. They either never lift the receiver or not bothered to listen my comlaints. Once they advised me to go on the top of 8 floored building and check the connectivity. They do not know who has installed the equipments. Now I fed up with dishtv. My sincere advice to fellow citizens is that please do not beleive what film stars and cricketers market. These guys want only money nothing else. Local cable is the best in this case.

          We are dishtv subscriber. Inspite of paying regular subscription, there in no proper srvice of many channels, specified in the pacakege(DISH MAXY-Rs.300). The channel displays the following message in its window:-

          I bought DishTV in the month of July . last Sunday (14th Sep 08) dish TV stopped working.After talking with Customer Care tecnicians on phone they told me that "the VC card is corrupted" and they will send a technician within 24 to 48 hrs to change the VC card .
          Nobody came till today even after calling Customer care for 4-5 times repetatively.

          I had paid Rs. 3600 to the collection agent in cash on 10th October for year renewal of the subscription. I have proper receipt for the same.
          Despite paying by cash, the amount is still not reflected in the display and a complaint was lodged with the company on 13th. They promised an action in 48 hrs.

          1. Collection agent is their own and he is not my choice. If he is not depositing the money it is not my fault.
          2. Why services are denied to me if DishTV has not received the sum from their agent.
          3. Why they are not able to fix the problem even after 55 hrs.
          4. Above all, why should I suffer?
          5. Please suggest me how I can put a complaint against them in TRAI or with consumer forum and may be police complaint

          Iam a customer of dishtv I bought theSTB and accessories before 3 years from a shop in kollam at kerala state.At that time there is an offer from your side is five channel access
          (including Asianet, HBO..etc.) for life time and free to air channel accessibility with out smart card. Because of the overlooked offers from the dealers I purchased theSTB.Now my connection is blocked by you since 24/10/2008 I enquired the dealer about the problem .He said that the problem is due to the service provider and is for some verification purposes.As a customer it made very difficult to me.Your process is not relating to me at any way.Because as a customer I gave needed documents and purchased theSTB before 3 years.then what verification is needed after 3 years.The dealer had obtained alldetails he want about the customer at the time of purchase. So the customer is not a party in your process and is not a good practice to lock the customers channels for your process.Your process involves only you and your dealer and the customer is not a party. One another thing the manual along with theSTB supplied by the dealer describes that the customer can access the free to air channels(FTA) with out smart card and CI card.But it not possible in my STB.. You are blocked the offered channels as well as free to air channels.So what I am telling you is that to restore my connection immediately with the accessibility of free to air channels with out smart card.other wise the offer violated condition made by you, to take back the STB and accessories and refund my amount. I will sent later the copies of your life time offer in the all leading news papers in Malayalam, and page relating to the access of FTA Channels in the manual without smart card(user manual cd-100S DSTB page no:10)

          Dish TV — NO SIGNAL 2ND TIME IN TWO WEEKS

          THE MOCKERY OF CONSUMERS IS BEING ENACTED BY DISH TV.
          THE ABOVEMENTIONED CONNECTION IS NOT WORKING AGAIN.

          THIS WAS LAST REPAIRED BY THEIR EXECUTIVE RAMCHANDER ON THE 8TH OF NOV 2008 AFTER A WEEKLONG CALLS AND COMPLAINTS TO THEIR CALL CENTRES. AND, SURPRISINGLY, WE WERE CHARGED RS. 250 FOR THIS SERVICE FOR NO FAULT OF OURS (I WAS AWAY ABROAD AND MY WIFE HAD TO PAY THIS).

          PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RESPONSE AT THEIR CALL CENTRES IS VERY CONSUMER UN-FRIENDLY AND IT TAKES HOURS TO CONNECT TO THE EXECUTIVES AND MAKE ANY COMMUNICATION WITH THEM.

          THIS FAULT HAS OCCURED AGAIN IN A SPAN OF 12 DAYS. ALSO, I WOULD LIKE TO UNDERSTAND AS TO WHY I AM LIABLE FOR PAYING RS. 250 FOR GETTING THIS FAULT RECTIFIED?

          Dish TV — disconnection despite paying the renewal 1 week back

          I am shocked at the service provided by you. I have paid the renewal charges of 300 Rs on 22/11/2008 (UR-22/11/08IG[protected] for the renewal that was due only on 29/11/2008. My services stood disconnected. I have been receiving msgs on my mobile from 25th November that I have to recharge the subscription. I informed your authorities about the same. But despite all theses my services have been cut. I received a call from DISH TV, Bangalore yesterday and I also informed them about it but they have still not restored my connection. All my calls to your call centre are in vain as they told me that it will be restored within 4 hrs to 24hrs. I donot understand why the hell should it take 24 hrs for activating. It is not that my subscription died and I renewed it after the renewal date. Today morning I called up again and they say that it will take 48 hrs to restore. I have decided to file a complaint with the consumer court stating all the facts and claiming damages for the treatment given from your end.The copy of this letter is marked to them.

          i purchased dish tv 4months back, when the atmosphere is cloudy or rainy there is no signal and it last for several minutes.in kerala its rainy time often and if the complaint is like this then whats the need of this one.its better to get local cable connection which is 160 rs per month and getting all pay channels.this is waste...
          Dish TV is a company which seems to be misappropriating the amount. After taking a yearly charges they disconnected the connection within 7 months for non-payment. After calling their numbers they have got only one reply "problem will be solved in 3 to 24 hours" and same reply is given even if called after 2 days. All the friends are advised to keep away from such a cheat company.

          Dish TV has the worst service.
          Suddenly my set top box stopped working and I am told it needs some software upgrade. Also I have been asked to pay for it which is bad as I do not understand why it needs upgrade in first place. All their customers using the same set top box would require similar upgrade and Dish TV would charge them too.

          Hi All, Dishtv cheated me. my VC number:[protected].I was a customer of Dishtv.I was in maxi pack.last month(Nov'08) I paid my renewal amount of Rs.350 dated 22nd Nov'08.my renewal date was 27 of nov'08.This month I got a sms from dishtv my renewal date is over on 17th of Dec'08.I call up to customer care regarding this they told there was a mistake by them they will activate my account by within 24 hour. but they didn't.next they when I call they told me 7th of december I paid 900 in my account what ever I did pay and my account is showing 900 negative balance.I don't know how it is possible :D.then they told it will take another 24 hour to check. nothing happend.next day when I called they told I have -1800 balance. I don't how it possile.when I am showting to then they simply hangup the phone.I called then so many times nothing happend.

          My name is Sandip Paul. My VC Card No. is [protected].I am one of the few first users fof Dish TV when it was introduced. The cost then was higher than cable. Over the time I find that the service of DishTv has detoriated to nil. Despite the company having details like interactive information on channel 999, cell phone, email and house address, they have repetaqtively failed to update my payment details or inform me on renewails. Recently, while complaining about some barred channels, I discovered that my package has been downgraded from Maxi to Platinum which is cheaper. This, despite having taken subcription of six months for Maxi which is 337 per month. The only response I got by complaining that this has been informed on channel 999. This channel is equally bad and does not provide any such information. They further said that to continue with Maxi I have to make a fresh request after 24 hours as they are unable to respond to my complain at this time. This shows how poor their customer care centre is.
          It is natural for DISH TV. You keep on paying money and your account will show increased negative balance with every payment. Customer care replies you do what ever you want. You have to spent much more on telephone calls than the subscription amount.

          Complaint : Sir, MY DISH TV VIEWING CARD NUMBER IS [protected] 1.
          I have taken DISh TV DTH connection, VC NUMNER=[protected], MAXI PACKAGE OF RS 300MONTHLY, ON 2MARCH 2008 on Yearly payment basis and I HAD PAID FULL ONE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION CHARGES OF Rs.3600 & my next renewal is 2/3/2009.
          2. Upto November 2008, therewas no problems with the dish tv services and i was enjoying the all channel as per Maxi pack . Now, They have forcibly removed the channels cnbc awaz, ccn ibn, cnbc18 in between my subscription period(on dec 2008).Now in my tv screen, message is coming the TIMES NOW & ZOOM channels will be removed from 31/01/2009.They have started asking extra money Rs 25/Month extra for the same which i already had paid.
          3.Being a annual customer, it is highly frustrating that in the middle of the period dish tv has started removing channels, whereas it should after the end of my annual subscription period
          4. In the view on above the service provided by the dish tv is not up to the marks .
          5. I have given feed back in writing that i will go to CONSUMER COURT if problem is not been resolved.
          I Vijai Kumar Sinha took connection of Dish TV on[protected] from Ankita
          Distributors at a cost of Rs. 8350/- . V.C. No. [protected]. Some defects
          perhaps related to adjustment developed in the dish and set top box in
          July’04. After several persuasions on telephone Sri Biplav Kumar Bose came on
          22.07.2004 and instead of adjusting the same on the spot, took away my set top
          box and said that he will reinstall it after getting the same readjusted by his
          mechanic. After several telephonic reminders one day Biplav Kumar Bose came with
          a set top box and told that my original set top box developed some major defect
          & since it is in the guarantee period he has sent the same to Noida for
          repairs. In the mean time he is installing the demo set of his show room. He
          would replace the same when received from Noida.

          Since then I have been reminding him from time to time for my set but every
          time he says that it has not been received from Noida as yet. In the mean time I
          have been receiving SMS message from you on my mobile regarding the renewals. I
          am pretty sure that the Biplav Kumar Bose who is husband of your dealer Lipika
          Bose (ID 4732) has resold my set to somebody else and cheated me by installing
          his demo set at my place which is now not working since several years & is
          not being recharged.

          It is requested that you peruse your dealer to return my set to me & till
          then kindly block the set instead of recharging it.


          Also arrange to transfer the DEMO SET in my name which
          was handed over to us by Mr. Biplav Bose and activate
          the same as soon as possible.

          I hope your company will not like to become a participant in the fraud of
          Lipika Bose & Biplav Bose.

          I have been provided with Sun Direct DTH Service and my payment for the services provided by them expired on 5.02.09 and I have been trying to contact them for renewing them and I have purchased recharge cards for Rs.500/ - on 01.02.09. Evert time I dial, I get the stereo type recorded voice to say that the line is busy and try later. I am utterly helpless. I do not know how to sort out the probelm.

          Am a subscriber of DISH TV for the past four years. Inspite of paying my subsciptions regularly am not getting some channels as specified in MAXI(332) pack. Times Now is cut down without prior information.
          From yesterday onwards am getting following message on my screen.
          "301.Signal not found.
          Check that your set top box is properly connected to the antenna.

          I've informed this to customer care service, but there s no response from them.

          It is a real pain and irritating too.They have really indulged in gross profiteering, and taken oath on Affidavit not to accept their fault and defend the matter, that they only are correct and all are fools.neo sports is missing.

          Dish TV customer care service is worst and hopeless. People who are having cable connection take note that donot go for dishtv else you will be disappointed. Itz cash scheme is also worst. If you make mistake in typing your vc number you will lose your money and they will not revert your money to your account even you complian repetedly. cable operaters are better than Dishtv. They have no care of their cusomers. customer service center is full of mad people.

          Dish TV (complete system ) a ZEE Network Enterprise — Services not delivered for what I paid

          I purchased a complete system of Dish TV thru Paras Image Associates (p) Ltd 0n 23rd May 2008 for Rs.3990.37 only. This amount included subscription for MAXI channels( RS 2500.00 ). But the service provider ( ZEE Network )has almost withdrawn most of the popular channels without any notice. To get those channels again the co. is asking for more money and requests through SMS. It seems the company wants to make extra money by asking subscribers to use SMS and not delivering for which the co. has received payment in advance -this is not fair trade practice.

          I am Jayaram.
          I bought Dish TV set-top box.
          VC number [protected].
          It was installed in Bangalare at my residence.
          I am in Mumbai doing my masters.
          Since my parents didnt know how to recharge and pay for the monthly subcription, I sent a cheque from my Mumbai Bank account to Dish TV.
          I sent it by register post, this was in Dec 2008.

          They sent a mail stating that they cannot accept outstation cheques.
          They said they would courier the cheque back to me.

          They ddi not courier the cheque and instead have deposited the same cheque in bank in March 2009.
          I told the bank to stop payment and return the cheque to Dish TV.

          They clearly held onto the cheque that they were supposed to return and later have deposited the same stealthily.

          I have evidence for each statement mentioned above in the format of e-mails from their customer care, bank transactions.

          Please take due action.

          i renewed dish tv from gandhinagar which issued receipt of ahmedabad letter, my son has finfish biard exam and renew for 500 hundred but result is zero no any services from dealer what is the requirement of this co. in customer world no body is reply we very sorry ya through 500 rupees card is also not returnable. pl. do needful in this mattere as m.k.desai sector 21 on[protected]
          I am not happy with the dish tv service.they cut the channels without informing the customers and also not provide the full information to the customers. They not resolve the problem on time. it's better to go for Tata Sky.

          When I submitted complaint of my disk Alignment they promise to close the complaint within 48 hours & they close it but without sloving the problem no body came to rectify the problem & next day when I called I was informed as per their records it has been solved

          DishTV — Website not working

          Hi,
          I recently tried to create a user on www.dishtv.in website. I faced many problems while creating the user.
          After I provide my VC No. and STB No., it generates a User Id and automatically populates information like the Name of the Customer, Address and Mobile No. All the information getting populated is incorrect. I somehow managed to edit the Address and Mobile No., but I was not able to update the Name. By default it gives a name "Mr. Bhurkunt Dalubhai".
          When I called Customer Care for some channel activation, the support person said that my mobile No. is registered but this DishTV connection is not on my name. This is strange!!!

          So, Below are the main problems with DishTV
          1. www.dishtv.in website does not work. The company earns that much that it can create a good website for customers.
          2. Why do Customer Care have incorrect details about my DishTV connection?

          I hope my problems will be taken into consideration.
          I will give you the customer care email id. where you can mail your concern with your correct details and i hope it will be updated from their.

          So mail your concern on [protected]@dishtv.in for quick resolution of your complaint.

          DISH TV should be banned and fined for harrassing customers. Poor consumers do not have so much time that they could fight with these giant monsters who are harrassing customers at all possible places. Their customer service is cheap and useless - UNQUALIFIED IGNORANT FOOLS. THeir dealers are ignorant... they have no right to be there in the public domain. Supreme Court should do something about this.. I hope some supreme court judge is harrassed by the customer service of the DISH TV.. maybe then he will pass a ruling...

            R/S sir,
            i am manoj garg customer of your dish tv. vc no.[protected].
            i have a quary regarding the dish tv antina alingment.
            my problem was occured on 3rd march 2008. i register a complaient to ur call center. on 5th march it got solved by ur techanicans. but after they had gone, my problem rise agin. i adjusted my problem by shaking the antina here and there. and recived 90 channels.
            on 15th may the dish tv failed again. it was showing 0% singal strength. i made a complaint to ur calll center on 16th may. mr. farhad ur executive gives me a complaint no.13242795. and assure me that techanican will come soon but no one visted to my house till 23rd may.
            on 24th may i talked to miss. ritika. she told me that my last complaient wasclosed so we have to remade ur complaient. she gave a copmlaint no. 13405984. and say it will be solved with in 24 hours. but again no one came to my house.the same procedure was repeating till today by ur executive, shift manager mr. dharmender, supervisior mr. niraj, naveen, assosite manager mr. akhil. and ur one of the team leader mr. richi spoke to me very rudly. he absued me on this procedure. every time my complaient was closed without solving.
            what rubbish is going on in ur dish tv. whenever i want to talked to ur senioer level, every time my call puts on hold by more than 30 min. i called 130 times to ur call center from 16th may to till today. but my problem hasnotsolved yet.

              I too have the same problem. Last one week I have made more than 100 calls to them. Everytime they say that this is the last call you have to make. It will be rectified immediately. I could get the phone number of the technician, manager, service center office. First time they will pick up the call, and say within 30 minutes person will attend. Later if you call, they will never pick up the call.

              I am trying to move to some other service provider

                DISH T.V. IS THIRD CLASS, POOREST SERVICE, THEY CHEAT THE CUSTOMERS

                I regret to say that, I am facing the Setup Box problem from the last 3 months.

                My Setup box was not working properly in the month of March 2008 due to the sound problem. I complaint 2-3 times at your customer care by phone but in a week there was no any response after many calls I got Your Technical Engineer Details from your customer care center i.e. Mr. Kailash Aggarwal and Mob. No. [protected] and landline no.[protected].

                I called and requested him to sort out the problem of my Setup Box.
                After listening my problem he assured to me to solve this problem. After 4-5 days one man came and he collect my setup box and give me another setup box he told me that this box is o.k and after solving the problem he will return my setup box, in the meantime I can use this another setup box.

                But, I was surprised to see that the Setup Box which was given by that Man was not in working condition and that box did not work for more than 10 days. In between, I call many times to explain that this Setup box is no working and we are unable to see any channel but Mr. Kailash Aggarwal told me that I will get my setup box very soon but after 2 week time i.e. on 09/05/2008 I get my Setup box and they charged me Rs. 507/- for solving this problem and told that now the setup box is ok.

                I shocked to see that, after 4-5 days the problem continues, I was surprised to see the same problem again, I contact to Mr. Aggarwal’s office and their office replied me that I have to wait for some days and if the problem is continue than they will look after. So, after 10 – 15 days they send somebody to pickup the setup box.

                So, I have not received my Setup Box till now. I want to ask one question if our subscription delay only one day, you discontinue the services you have done many times with me this kind of things.

                And if your customer faces problem from last 3 months you have no time to listen him. You expand lot of money on advertisement but you don’t care about the services. After this long harassment, I decided to go to Consumer Court and I will forward my complaint to leading news papers and T.V. channels.

                Me too having same problem with DISH TV.. in my case.. i've called them many times since 19th May 2008. But everytime they give me a new complain number and put the last given complain number as solved. I've also written to nodal officer of dishtv but no response yet. So i was looking for some information online to go to Consumer court.

                have u also filed the case?? if yes let me know what did u have to do for that...!!
                I am having a very bad experience with dish tv for last one year. But this month it was a horrible exeperience that is making me think to switch to tata sky as a better option.
                As i would like to narrate the story . Myself had recherged for the renewal of package on 19/05/08 and it was suposed to, valid up to 18/06/08 .Meanwhile i wathed two movies with movie on demand and as usual thought that i will pay with the next recharge .But my package was downgraded on 06/06/08 within 15 days of recharge when i called the call center it was told to me because i wathed two movies it was done(erlier it was not done like that ).
                After all this incident i thought not get indulge in any fight i recharged my account for rs 300 on 7/6/08 by calling on customer care and telling them crash card account no and password .(i was not able to collect the transection id)
                I waited for 24 hrs but my package was not upgraded .Again I called the customer care (3 times ) but they keep telling me that Your account is not charged.Finally won the employee told me that my recharge has been transfeered to same other vc by the the executive .
                Than again i called the customer care and told whole incident to them but they told me that they need the vc no which has been recharged (the employee who has done mistake didnt tell me the transection id and the another vc no to which the recharge has passad) AND TOLD ME THAT THAY CANT HELP ME .
                This is the worst exeperience i had have and suggest all the people to keep away from the dish tv.

                  Mr. K. S. Kumar owner of your V C No: [protected], has been complaining about signal problem since 20th May 2008. the complain no is 13356992. they have been following up on the above complain on daily basis at your customer care center nos. And every time your executives make sorry figures and ask for 24-48 hours for resolution of the case.the complaint has not been addressed to till date . NO ONE HAS COME DOWN TO CHECK THE DISH ... VERY POOR response by the company in customer service.
                  WE HAVE BEEN GREATLY DISSAPPOINTED, and i am sure every one in our nabhurhood have understood that the after service of dish karo is really bad, we rather take up a cable connection. Mr. K. S. Kumar unfourtnatly cannot do so as he has paid for 1 year service, this is what he gets in return

                    Dishtv set top box nt working since 5 months, several complaints have beeen logged at call centre, customer care email id and also to local pune office.
                    As soon as the set top box is switched on it shown error message as SIGNAL NOT FOUND FOR 20 MINUTES THAN IT SHOWS CHECK YOUR SMART CARD.

                      Being a dealer of your product I have been facing many problems. First of all, I am never informed about the new schemes, set-up box, installation of set-up box, re-charge coupons’ unavailability, glow-sign board’s unavailability (it doesn’t even have lightning system). Neither the distributor is co-operative nor are you of any help. None of my calls were replied back by your distributor (ASN Solutions), and this is my final call to you.

                      I just want any of your sales executives who may help us with the problems. If you are not able to do any good for all these complaints, then I cannot entertain your product’s sales.

                        I, Pankaj Sharma, owner of your V C No: [protected], have been complaining about signal problem since 20th May 2008. My complain no is 13329840. I have been following up on the above complain on daily basis at your customer care center nos. And every time your executives make sorry figures and ask for 24-48 hours for resolution of the case. I would likt to inform you that today being 5th June 2008 and even after 15 days, my complaint has not been addressed.



                        I have been constantly following up with your call center on the no:[protected], on daily basis. I have spoken to many of your executives and Sr. Supervisors, but in vain. I really feel pity for these poor fellows for such poor response by the company in customer service.

                        After vigorous folloups, finally sombody named Manoj from JMD vision, Delhi, turned up on 28th May 2008 in the afternoon, he never even had any monitor or tool to check the signal or do the installation properly. He took my TV to the terrace of the building, cut off my dishtv cable, dismantled my antenna conection, in fact damaged my dish reciever. And came down saying that something is wrong with my settop box, and it needed to be taken to the repair center for checkup. He gave a blank job card copy, which had to be duly filled by my family member. After 3 days of continuous follow up he cam on 31st May 2008, saturday, evening, saturday. He gave the settop box in very damaged condition with lot of scratches on the box, which was absolutely spotless till was taken by him. He did not do the installation saying that the weather being stormy, it cannot be done, and he would come the next day to do the installation.

                        The next day I called up on the no[protected]/222 for the same, and I was told by a lady that today being sunday, she cannot send anybody. I called upn monday 2nd june and also on tuesday 3rd june several times and got false promisses in return for sending the engineer. Finally on 3rd evening, I was told that the person came to my place wrongly, as they have not recieved any complain, and it was in somebody elses name.

                        Since, then I am still following up at Dish TV call center no[protected], and have spoken to several people only getting appologies from them and assurances that the thing would be resolved within 24 hours. Today on 5th June Evening I have spoken to sombody Mr. Nalin Ranjan - Asst. Manager, who has promissed to resolve my problem by 2.30 PM the next day.

                        This is probabily my last communication with dish tv, and if my problem is still not resolved tomorrow, 6th June 2008, before 2.30 PM. I will fine a written complain and a law suit for compensation at the consumer court.

                        I am also marking this mail to several consumer complaint bodies. Will also send a written complain to them, stating the level of mental harrassment by disth tv.

                        Besides, the above, i have still not received any reply to the below mail even which was sent to dischtv on 26th May 2008.

                        I do not have any hopes from you, but still sincely hope that you revert to my complain this time with proper resolution. else...

                        I am also suffering from the same problem from DISH TV.If Any body from the Dish TV is reading this. Try to solve the problem. And

                        My VC no. is : [protected] and i am very unsatisfied with your poor services ... even after authorising you people to charge renewal amount through credit card payment as per instructions given to your web portal (a stupid and poor service which needs almost a year to update information of plan used by customer) on 16th-jan-09 at 5:16 pm and again on 16-jan-09 at 5:18 PM and both transaction was shown to me as pending in my account untill 20th morning and instead of that you had made my connection and vc deactivated . what a great service ???? shame on that !!!
                        even more ... i received message that you can pay your amount using your credit card throgh calling us on[protected] which is also fake service where user is unable to dial 1/2 for futhur going ...

                        Can anyone from dishtv explain me that how could a customer will make more than a single payment to you when your server is showing that your current payment instruction are pending ?

                        And from last two days your customer care was also too busy that no one can't contact that too.

                        I hope that you guy had understood the problem and tension i got due to your stupid servers and customer care services.

                        i would like you to go into the matter and revoke the late payment charges which had imposed on my account which is only due to yours poor service (both your web portal and your customer care) and try to provide a good service to customers instead of making deductions on their account in lieu of your silly stupid services.

                        i hope you will understand the problem that customer faces due to you unresponsive services and try to rectify the same by activating my account and revoking the deactivation charges imposed by your side mistake.

                        Kindly reply back with short summary of action you taken in above case to preserve customer satisfaction and improving your service scale.

                        Dish TV has an extremely BULL after sales service. Probably handled by very uneducated, unprofessional lot. Their dealers are another headache. I recharged my account from one of their stupid dealer namely Shivshakti electronics, Parmar Plaza, Shivarkar Road, Wanowrie, Pune. THAT RAJASTHANI UNEDUCATED GUY (arshole) recharged my subscription to some other account by feeding a wrong VC No. Then after i created a ruccus, they called up Dish TV Lords(So called) Customer Care. The guy responded in a very arrogant voice and informed me that my money will be re-routed to my account and that it will take two hours. After 4 hour it was still not done, then i again went to the dealer, he again called the Lords, and the guy on the other end of the phone seemed ignorant about my case. After we gave him the request no. he said that the problem will be solved in another two hour. Now it has been more than 12 hours(Since 10am in the morning today- September 3rd 2009.) I am at a loss, as to what is to be done.
                        I think i should throw this bloody dish tv out of my home. There are many other around. These [censored]ers are not the end of the world.

                          information clearly. Always misleading. Subsequently this creates hell lot of problems

                          2. Always they say, it takes 4 - 24 hrs to resolve a complaint. and that never happens even after 24 hrs. If we ask the status of the complaint after 24 hrs, they will give us another complaint for tracking the previous complaint. This list goes on increasing until we speak to senior person. By that time it takes 5-6 days

                          3. It takes 5-6 days to renew a package (following step (2))

                          4. We need to furnish the same details about the packages I want / transaction Number / other complaint details again and again. (very annoying)

                          5. They don’t even provide the services for the days spent in following up the complaints (usually 6-7 days). This means we get service only for 22-23 days in a month

                            It is going to be 24 hours, but inspite of number of reminders, it is not activated.

                              This is my first email sent to Dish TV Customer Care. Seeing so many other complains I am not sure when my system will be activated.

                              Dear Sir / Madam

                              I paid for Dish TV to your dealer "Techno Shop"; Airoli on 29th May and subsequently on 30th May your Technician from Service Centre, Kopar Khairne installed the system at my residence. After installation of Dish and Set Top Box no channels were visible, so your technician called up your customer care, Delhi and gave all the details of installation and in the same time your customer care representative spoke to me and took all my necessary information and gave me lot of information. As per him the channels should have been started in 4 to 24 hours. But even when I checked the system today morning i.e. on 1st of June still it was giving the same message Error 303 Call up customer care no.

                              When I called up your Mumbai customer care no., Ms. Damini told me that the Dealer has to send the request to complete the activation process. Since at that time I was not having dealer’s contact no. therefore my complain was not registered. Conclusion is that after speaking to your customer care on 30th May and giving all the details to complete register was waste, it was good for nothing.

                              Later I got the no. of the dealer so I called up your customer care no. and gave the details of the same. This time I was told my complain no. is 13590388 and to forward the complain it will take 24 to 48 hours. If I need immediate solution then I will have to fax or email the subscriber application form of Dish TV to your customer care. So please find attached the same with this email and please do the necessary to activate the system.

                              Really my initial experience with Dish TV was too bad. I don’t know why nor is neither your technician nor the dealer aware of the necessary procedures for installing Dish TV. Even to get the set top box from dealer was also a nuisance. That will be again a big story to narrate and I cannot spare so much time to type the same.

                              My request is to activate the system earliest by tomorrow or else I will return back the system back to the dealer and stop my payment paid thru credit card.

                              Even if you to dish TV website and try to register as a new customer funniest thing is that you can enter text in the USER ID Feild and if you try to lodge complain then you cannot enter your name in the form that means you cannot submit any form on the website. You have totally depend on the customer care over the phone...

                              Dish TV should pay a reasonable amount as decided by consumer court for the loss incurred by my family in not able to watch the different channel those could not viewed by us because of loss of channel for which we have paid the subscription from November 2006 to November 2008. (At least Rs.3, 00, 000/-)
                              Myself amruta kulkarni suggested a complaint but there is no use of complaints there is no response and there is an bad behaviour from customer care people they doesn't take an action for it so my experience is very very very bad for dishtv and i had suggested many of my friends that please dont take this type of stupid things because they really waste aour money and time

                              and the service engineer is asking for Rs 175 and that to i came to know it because i havent recharge my account as there was less balance in it, even before registering the complains the customer care executive haven't told that you will be charged service fee of 175 + the defect and now they are saying you can throw the dth is you dont want to pay the service charge

                                By far, I feel Dish TV is the worst DTH company in the world.They are very much worried of new channels like 9X, NDTV Imagine, Neo Sports that they may compete with their own channels, namely Zee Next, Zee Sports. Even Tata Sky is close with Star Network but they still added these channels at the launch of these channels. And not to forget their poor customer care, they give false information when enquired about channels.When I send a e-mail I get the channels are not available. What a reply !!!

                                  Dear Sir,
                                  The Dish Tv has installed the set on 19/05/2008 (almost after 305 months of purchase), but till date they have not activated the services. I have paid the amount required on 19th itself. I have called them for more than 15 times at the numbers 60013474, 65342255 and 65342266. Their call center no.[protected] is always engaged, and despite of my all trials in last 12 days I could not get the line.Today morning also again I tried to contact the local dealer 2 times, but both the times they have disconnected the call, after escertaining that I am calling. I am enclosing herewith the full details by the mail (3rd mail) sent to dish tv for doing the needful. It seems they are not doing anything and neither they are taking the matter with the local dealer, despite of my repeated request to them. The local dealer is not cooperating at all and is very adament as well.
                                  May I request you to take up the matter with the dish tv and pass the appropriate order so that in future other consumers should also not suffer with this type of attitude. I earnestly request for your justice at the earliset, please.
                                  The details of the case are as under.:

                                  In reply to your mail I will like to put forward as under:
                                  1) I have purchased the set form E-Zone 3.5 months back, since than I am waiting for the installation to be done, but no body has cared about.
                                  2) After searching the number I tried my best to get it installed on 19May2008., since than it is waiting for the activation.
                                  3) I have given a complaint vide no. 13490715, but till no action.
                                  4) I have requested the local dealer M/s A.V.SOLUTIONS, # 77, 23rd Cross, 14th Main, 3rd Block East Jayanagar, Bangalore-560011, to send the SAF form or give the copy to me so I can fax it up. But the dealer is very much adamant and he is not cooperating at all. He says" that the Noyada people are not doing, and that he has sent the requisite with the activation request, now don't disturb me and call me, whatever you want do do with the Delhi people, What I can do if they don't want to activate?"
                                  5) I requested you to contact to the dealer and I have also given their no.[protected] and66), the contact persons Mr. Purshotam, who told me yesterday that it will be done within 24 hours, but today he is not willing to speak also. Ms Sumirathara, now she is disconnecting the calls, Mr. Nagraj, who told that withing 5 hours the system will be activated. But all in vain.
                                  6) I have called several times to the no.[protected], and every time they say it will be done very shortly. I have requested repeatedly that why not you people speak to your local dealer, to know why he is not sending the forms to you, but I feel till this time no body has done this. If the dealer's behaviour is not to the mark, than why he is not terminated from your franchise.
                                  7) It seems there is no responsible person in your entire system, who can do the needful going into the matter.

No one has come to my house it is already more than 10 days, My renewal date is 30th June 2008. What is use of renewal of subcription if your company can not give maintenace after sale.

                                      Hello all,

                                      Service if Dish TV is pathetic. I have experienced a number of problems with Dish TV. Even money is there on my account, they will disconnect the access and you have to call them several times to resume the service. If some tuning problem comes, they will promise you in your 1st call that they will send technician in maximum 48 hours and for me it took 9 days. Please note that I kept on calling all 9 days only they solved. So each time you call some new executive would say same thing another 48 hours. Think before you buy Dish TV it’s a big headache.

                                      Sarukh Khan says "thoda wish karo, dish karo" but I would say don't wish for Dish otherwise you would miss your peace...
