HELLO,
This is to bring to your kind notice that i had taken a subscrition of Dish TV some 4 years back for my Residence in the name of my mrs., Mrs. Smita Chordiya, Kasliwal Aangan, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Ulka Nagari Road, Aurangabad- 431005, through local dealerby paying a sunbscription fee of Aprox Rs 4200/- for a service of 1 year. We were ensured that even if the subscription tenure expires, we will continue to get Free to Air channels, as its obligatory for Service providers as per Information & Broadcasting Deptt, Govt of India.
Later on after one year i shifted to my own residence at Flat No. 204, Bhagirathi 'A', Disha Nagari, Beed By Pass Road, Aurangabad 431005 and i had informed the same ( new address ) to Dishtv thru email.
To my utter surprise, not it has been more than a month, i am unable to watch all the Free to Air Channels as the same are Blocked by Dishtv. When i talked to the customer care Deptt(Ref Com no[protected], i was told by the Customer Care Representative, that i will have renew my package, and since i have not renewed my connection therefore my Set top Box Has been deactivated.
The most important thing to be notice is that whatever information Dishtv is providing in their Information Menu is totally incorrect. (For ex. if you want to pay your subscription charges via ITZ cash card they have provided information which is totally incorrect.) When I talked to them regarding this, they said that the software has to be upgraded, for that you have to keep your TV & STB on for 24 hours, etc. etc. but the software was never upgraded.
Is it just to Deactivate a subscribers services without intimation??Does Dish TV have a policy and rules other than what recommended by Ministry of Broadcasting, Govt of India and TRAI.
Request you to kindly look into the matter and do the needful as per Laws and norms set by the Governement.
