Hi Team,
I have been charged with an amount of 236/- 3 times in the month of July
even when my loans have been already closed in the month of June & March.
For no reason the amount has been deducted & status in internet banking shows loan is closed.
The details are as shown below,

    This is in reference to the transaction made in my account under the header of depository charges; without any intimidation by the hdfc bank.

    Kindly be informed that an amount of 812rs was deducted from my savings/salary account on 18nd july 2023 under the name of depository charges june-2023

    Initially when we did not have demat account they forced us to create one without intimating us that they are going to charge annual fees and i received the call earlier from customer care i also speak him deny of this service. Now all of a sudden they have charged 812rs This is very bad and disappointing. And i have never used the demat account till now.. If i call the customer care they will not have answers. And they will not communicate that they are charging.

    Please do the needful as earliest.

      This is in reference to the transaction made into my account without intimating me by HDFC bank.

      An amount of Rs 885 has been debited for the month of JULY 2023 from my salary account, mentioning about 'DEPOSITORY CHARGES JUNE 16' with regard to my demat account Which I have never used this account.

      When the account was opened, I was told that it would be absolutely free. This is clear exploitation of customers.

      Can anyone help me to refund my Rs 885

      Please help and give me an update.

              Have a salary account with hdfc bank. I have started with sip in mutual funds (Paytm money app) using auto-pay option. But i didn't have sufficient balance in sip date so i have been charged ach debit return charges of rs 1720 is deducted from my account on 17/07/2023.

              I have called customer care and they told me that this amount is deducted because of payment bounce.

              I have never been informed that this would be charged due to lack of funds. What are these charges for! Why are they so high. It is not a debt i have to pay. It is sip. How can you inculcate habit of regular savings if you penalise so harshly for not having balance.

              Hdfc bank has to return this money. There was no intimation from the bank on the consequences of not keeping sip amount in account.

              Please help me resolve this. People are losing trust in public banks and now these banks also!!!. Although it doesn't make a difference to hdfc bank for sure, but i will close my account if it is not returned. If auto debiting is a service you provide as a bank, then it is your duty to inform me of the charges for the same. Heights of fraud. You must give me a warning that if funds are insufficient you will be charged. Nothing was there.

              Please please help me resolve this and return my money

                        I was travelling to Vietnam from Kolkata airport on 5th of April 2023. I used my Priority pass at the airport lounge of international terminal. My priority pass comes with 12 international and domestic complimentary transactions. Still I was charged a hefty amount. I feel cheated by the bank as they have falsely charged me even though I am supposed to get complimentary access on the lounge.

                                As an account holder, I have every right to view documents pertaining to my account. Please email me the initial documents to my registered email address. See dated 23rd June 2023
                                HDFC Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                                HDFC Bank decided that by not allowing the account holder to view their own documents and deflecting a response by citing it as an internal matter is a cause for concern. They determined that the case is closed. With this bullying attitude and withholding documents, how can HDFC Bank justify being with the big banks of the world.

                                HDFC Bank is not responding to my queries to allow the account holder to view account holder's documents. HDFC Bank has made the decision that the case is closed. This is fraud. Banks and Life Insurance companies are treating their customers with contempt once accounts are opened.

                                    Subject: Complaint Regarding Uninformed ACH Debit Return Charges

                                    Dear HDFC Bank Customer Service,

                                    I am writing to file a complaint regarding an unexpected charge that was deducted from my account without any prior notification. I have been a loyal customer of HDFC Bank for a long time, using my account for frequent transactions. However, yesterday I noticed two charges on my account statement: ₹590 and ₹499.19, both labeled as "ACH debit return charges."

                                    I would like to emphasize that I had not been informed about these charges by the bank beforehand. As a result, I immediately contacted my bank to express my concerns and initiate a resolution process. However, despite raising the issue, no action has been taken so far. This situation has led to a significant loss for me, especially considering my frequent transactions. In fact, just the day before yesterday, I conducted a transaction of ₹7, 000 from the same account.

                                    I kindly request you to thoroughly investigate this matter and resolve the issue promptly. It is essential that HDFC Bank returns the deducted amount to my account. As a customer, I find it extremely disheartening that there was no prior intimation from the bank regarding these charges. This lack of communication erodes trust in public banks and can have a severe impact on their reputation.

                                    While I understand that the resolution of this issue may not significantly affect HDFC Bank, I must inform you that if my funds are not returned, I will be compelled to close my account. As a customer, I expect transparency and fair treatment. If auto-debiting is a service provided by the bank, it is your responsibility to inform customers about the associated charges. The absence of any warning or notification regarding insufficient funds and subsequent charges is concerning and represents a breach of trust.

                                    Please take immediate action to address this matter, rectify the charges, and ensure that such instances do not occur in the future. I trust that HDFC Bank will investigate this complaint seriously and provide a satisfactory resolution to retain my confidence as a valued customer.

Despite filing a complaint regarding the unexpected charges on my account, which I mentioned in my previous communication, I have not received any resolution or satisfactory response from your team. To my surprise, the complaint has been marked as "Solved" without any action taken to address my concerns.

                                      This situation leads me to believe that HDFC Bank is engaging in deceptive practices by falsely claiming that my complaint has been resolved. I want to emphasize that I have not received any reimbursement or communication from the bank regarding the deducted amount. It is evident that my complaint has not been adequately investigated or addressed.

                                      As a customer, I have always held HDFC Bank in high regard and have trusted the institution with my financial transactions. However, this incident has severely shaken my confidence in your bank's commitment to customer service and integrity. It is distressing to experience such blatant disregard for customer concerns and to be subjected to dishonest practices.

                                      I urge you to take immediate action to rectify this situation. Kindly provide a comprehensive update on the progress of my complaint and ensure that the deducted funds are promptly returned to my account.                                         Dear HDFC Bank Customer Service,

                                        I am writing to file a complaint regarding an unexpected charge that was deducted from my account without any prior notification. I have been a loyal customer of HDFC Bank for a long time, using my account for frequent transactions. However, yesterday I noticed two charges yesterday(11/07/2023) on my account statement: ₹590 and ₹499.19, both labeled as "ACH debit return charges."
