Indiatimes shopping, one of the worst place to shop. There is not management of the service. It has been more than a month since i ordered but the item hasn't shipped yet. I have made the so many calls to their customer care but as usual nothing worked.. all the useless fellows are sitting there. Instead of responding to my queries, they are calling me back to get the feed back. Its totally frustrating. I have asked my money back but still asking to wait. INDIATIMES DOESN'T HAVE ITS OWN WAREHOUSE COMPARE TO OTHER VENDORS. THERE IS NOT CERTAINTY THAT CUSTOMER WILL GET THE PRODUCT ON TIME. I HOPE I GET MY MONEY BACK.

I ordered a Window Ac - 1.5tr Class Hitachi Quadricool Tm - Rat318hrd on Hitachi website which got redirected to India times shopping on 3rd Apri 2011 . The value of the AC is 25200 and the due date was 14th April 2011. I haven't got the delivery and it is not shipped till day even as per India times records, I asked them to cancel the order and refund my money back.As per their terms and conditions if the product is not delivered on promised time customer is entitled to cancel the product and receive refund within next 3 working days. Now the customer support executive is taking this as a complaint and she says it will take another 6 days to process it.They have to check with merchant and then process the cancellation request.
I am worried whether I will get my money back from them now, such a delay in shipping after paying money and irresponsilbie answer is giving me a nightmare.

I had purchased online in March 2010 a 1GB gaming device with MP3/MP4, camera and fm radio which was advertised at Rs 3040/- my order number was[protected]. On receiving the gadget I saw that the value was put as Rs 800/- only. On opening it was found that it was some cheap device which did not have the fm radio and probably other advertised features also. I registered a complaint and demanded a refund of money which was promised to me in another 3 or 4 days. But instead of returning the money Indiatimes sent me the same device back. Again I submitted the complaint and the gadget was picked up for refund but again the same thing was repeated. This went on for another time and after that I got a message that I would not be given my refund without giving any reasons. So Indiatimes have neither given me the gadget nor the refund which they promised so many times. It has been about an year now.

If such reputed online agencies like Indiatimes go about cheating people what would the so many others would be doing? Please get me my refund back and punish Indiatimes. Pls also suggest me any other avenue of redressal.

            Sincerely

            Sanjay Asthana
I also bought some items from Indiatimes shopping. 1 Tshirt, 1 shirt and 2 watches. Of the two watches, 1 watch was not at all working, and thet other items are of very very poor qualify. At that time, I didn't know how to complain... Better be away from these cheaters..

Dear Sir our BSNL mobile No. is [protected]. We have received messages each on 17/03/2011 and 26/03/2011 from No. +[protected] which read "Thanks 4 using indiatimes subscription services. Your total cost is Rs.5". But as far as We know We have not used or asked for any services. Totally Rs 10 is deducted from my prepaid amount which I have paid to BSNL. This is causing unnecessary problem to me. Request you to instruct the concerned to stop any services from Indiatimes to our mobile No. [protected].

REPAIRING OF STABLIZER COSTING MORE THAN NEW STABLIZER EVEN THEN USELESS BY M/s Snow Cool, Dube ka Parao Tiraha, Agra Road, Aligarh.
I had an old Automatic Voltage Stablizer which was made of very heavy wire, say about 12 swg having voltage range of 90 to 270. Due some problems developed therein I gave it at the workshop of M/s Snow Cool, Dube ka Parao Tiraha, Agra Road, Aligarh, U.P., for overhauling.
The mechanic of M/s Snow Cool told that it would be rewounded by more heavier guage wire and greater input voltage range for which he told the following expenditure to be incurred:

                kg 5.3 wire change @ Rs530/kg=Rs530 kg1.2 new wire @ Rs536/kg=Rs536 Rs100 LabourØ 300/12V 4A TF for operatig Relays=Rs270 =Rs.1,536
                3Relay @300+2Relay @175=Rs1250 Stablizer PCB Rs140 Indicator Rs10+Meter Rs.50+Timer PCB Rs.100 300/12V TF for operating relays =Rs2060
                440/12V TF for autocut =Rs300
                Labour =Rs200
                Total =Rs.3,805
After completion of the work on the at the above expenditure the stablizer was found rewound of more thinner wire, and the weight was much lesser and also it seemed that the length of the wire was reduced because at the high input voltage it got very hot, and due to thin wire used in rewinding it is generally hot whereas the summer has still not blown.
Being a very genuine case Will M/s Snow Cool will not realize that the above Rs.4,000 spent by the customer have been in vain and will he not like to instruct his mechanic to replace the Transformer of the above stablizer by a transformer having heavier wire guage then previously wound being able to sustain 90 to 300V input.
It has come to knowledge that a transformer of above high rating is available with them capable of being housed in this stablizer body, for which I am ready to pay proper exra price, so that purpose of overhauling of TF is solved and the investment of above Rs.4,000 may be some useful to me, otherwise my robust stablizer has been a inferiormost piece to be kept aside in vein by the mercy of M/s Snow Cool, Dube ka Parao Tiraha, Agra Road, Aligarh.

                  Dear sir,
Subject: order no [protected] dated 13th feb 2011.
With reference to the above order placed by me, the original lock –n-lock 15 piece storage set was priced at rs.1299+rs 199 delivery charges.
                  This set included:

                  • 1pc. 750ml Butter keeper W/Tray
                  • 2pcs. 850ml Snack box
                  • 4pcs. 450ml Rectangular Food Container
                  • 2pcs. 140ml Sauce/Pickle Container

                  • 2pcs. 1.2ltr. Pet Water Bottle
I was told to expect the delivery within 3 weeks.
On the 16th of March, I called to ask about the status of my order. The person on the line told me that the order has already been delivered and been accepted by Mr. Akash against cash.
This sounded ridiculous because the order was placed in my name and how does it go to any random person?
The person from your end apologized and renewed my order.
The new order no is [protected] dated 16th March.
The order was delivered to me on the 21st march by Blue Dart couriers.
On delivery, I was asked to pay Rs 1648/ instead of the Rs. 1498.
This new price had never been communicated to me at the time of placing the order.
However, I paid the said amount and accepted the delivery of the goods, after consulting with Mr. Ankur
On opening the order, I find that the pieces that I have received are completely different from the advertised pieces as mentioned above.
The list of what I have received is:
                  • 5 pcs. 350ml Rectangular Food Container
                  • 5pcs. 180ml Rectangular Food Container

                  • 1pc. 5Ltr. Sandwich Storage Box
I have a serious grievance against your organization which has cheated me, with regards to my original order as well as the amount and the contents of the order received.
Yours being a virtual organization, I was left to the mercy of your staff to mislead me and get away with it.
I approach you sir, with the complaint and seek the replacement of my order.
I do hope you understand my grievance and act upon it immediately.

We had placed an order for a Blackberry 8310 mobile phone from Indiatimes Online shopping (Order#[protected]. The cheque was collected on 21st February 2011 & cleared on 24th February 2011.
However, Indiatimes intially said that the amount was not received, which was clarified later.

On 10th March 2011, they informed that the consignment was shipped on 3rd March vide AFL AWB# [protected]. AFL Chennai had never received that consignment & we realised that the AWB no is fake.
As on today, there is no confirmation of refund & Indiatimes is only prolonging the issue.
We need a refund of our amount paid (Rs. 7890/-) & appropriate interest.

We also wish to highlight the issue so that other buyers do not fall prey to such nuisances.

                    Look forward to your help.

online shopping from indiatimes — Non-delivery

I would like to escalate this Order:[protected] i had placed on 21-Dec-2011.
I called up voice support with the complaint of non-delivery and incorrect AWB# mentioned on my order status.

I am still awaiting a proper resolution on this and keep getting different word from each of the executive and when i ask them to log the same comment in the caseid : 69472 open against it , i get response as this cannot updated as it is confidential data.
So far, i've sent 3 emails and talked to 4 different customer care executives and heard false promises and incorrect data. (you can see the log of same in the open Case.
and when i asked to cancel my order after waiting for 19 days, i was told within few seconds that my request has been sent for cancellation, but i still dont see the updated on my order status on my order account page.
I would request you to have this delivery done as the earliest or cancel this order immediately and process the refund.
this was my first transaction with indiatimes which unfortunately has turned out to be my worst online shopping experience.

I spoke to your customer care executive almost 6 to 8 times regarding the defective product.
Always asking to wait for 3 -- 4 days it has been 17 days without any progress on the the product reverse pickup. The information you have provided is not trustful.

I really wanted the product but I am forced to cancel the order as you are taking long time for the reverse pick up and again 10 to 12 working days to resend the new product that will delay the total process by one month ( Which is also not at all sure).

To- Complaints area, Customer Service, India times.

                          Sir/Madam-
I have ordered Blackberry Torch 9800 on Feb 21, 2011. My credit card has been charged the same day for Rs. 25, 839.

I recd the prodouct on Feb 28, 2011, even though it was said 5 days.

The product was defective. It was used with somone else's sim card in it. It had no charger or cable. The manual booklet was missing. The case was opened. The product was not charging even when connected to a usb cable in an airtel office.

I called about 10 time already. I was directed to call the vendor NR Computech. The vendor was non responsive and gave excuses, told me to call up india times again. One more thing. The vendor was rude enough to say to my wife that if we capable of spending so much money on the phone, we should just go and buy a charger ourselves.

Is that a way to speak to a customer?

I called India times again totally frustrated.

They said they will have the product picked up finally. I waited. I got an email from them on march 7 with courier pickup details. I waited 3 days, then called again. India times told me that I have now to call the courier service myself. I got angry. So they said they will call afl themselves. AFL then did not have time to pick up for another 3 days. They finally came to pick up at 9 pm one day, but without any AWB number. I said i cannot hand over a product without a receipt. Then they gave me a receipt with awb number. AFL[protected].

I called today again to india times. They said my awb nubmer is totally wrong. I said I have a copy of the receipt with me. He asked me to fax it. I said I am totally upset and I will nto do anything anymore. I have been going around in circles calling, faxing, doing your job for the last 2 weeks. Mr. Anchal then said I am lying, and said the system shows that it is only 2 days since they recd the complaing. He threatened to disconnect since i was frustrated. He threatened my thrice. Finally disconnected.

I am at my wits end now, you have taken Rs. 25,839 from me, sent me a faulty product and a have a customer service that threatens customers..

I am documenting this email and the prior trail for a legal court case on this, unless you ship a brand new product to me by this monday March 14, or else you give me a complete refund by March 14.

                          Regards,
                          Rajiv and Rupal Baphna

                            Address: Bangalore, Karnataka

I just received the below mentioned order:

                            (a) My Order No.[protected] SUB ORDER NUMBER : 3637609
                            Bermuda Shorts - Set of 2 (Size_XL)

                            (b) My Order No.[protected] SUB ORDER NUMBER : 3637610
                            Branded Round Neck T-Shirts(Size_XL)

I was shocked to receive the above. Both the above items, are not XL size
they will barely fit a 10 year old child.
Is there anyone at Indiatimes Shopping to assess the quality of products provided,
                            by these merchants:
Merchant Name and Number : Mahek International (100380)
Merchant Name and Number : Disha Enterprises (101840)
The quality of apparel sent by the above merchants are worse than any roadside
hawkers. Cheap stuff sent to me not the ones advertised on the Indiatimes website.
Does the above merchants understand what it means so state "Branded".

                            I want a 100% refund 305+299 = Rs. 604, for the above items.

The items of clothing sent to me are worse that roadside items sold outside train/bus stations, and not as advertised on their website.
The reverse pick up is a scam procedure, NEVER EVER send back the product as this ensures that you are at their mercy, and you dont have the proof of the poor quality product. Henceforth, NEVER SHOP at this site. Please ensure WIDE PUBLICITY is given to ensure people bycott this site.
YES, I agree 100%, It is shame on a reputed firm like ’’Timesgroup’’ for supporting such tactics to extract money from people, like resending to products already identified as defective by another customer. Reject items of others are recycled to other victims.
Ashwani Rajput & Bhavneet Kaur, are the 2 people at India Times, who get on the phone to state their point of view, its a pity that such people are employed who dont have the authority to THINK for themselves, but keep repeating like a broken record. GOD help this organization.
These unscruplous and unfair practices of Shopping.IndiaTimes.com, must be stopped. In the interest of the nation, Indiatimes must be ordered to bring down their websitefrom the internet.

This is with reference to our India times order no:[protected], sub order no: 3608354 which we unfortunately bought from India times from a newspaper ad on january 8th, 2011

First the product which we bought from them was a locked product which we understand is not legal to sell in India. We have spend INR600 to open the lock. Then in few days we realize the new product has a speaker problem.

Tried to speak to the manager numerous times in customer service but the executives they don’t transfer the calls to them.

As suggested by indiatomes customer service it is packed since 16th Feb and nobody came for pickup. So I am without any blackberry from approx. 15 days. And they still saying somebody will come shortly

Request you to please help in getting this rectified.

I feel it’s a fraud you selling the defaulted and illegal product on credit card.

with Indiatimes during last year. Recently I received a email from them saying that
my domain is going to expire within a week, so without thinking anything else I renewed it by paying Rs. 599 fees only to find that
I had already transferred it to another registrar 4 months back. For one month I've been asking for refund of my renewal fees
but I'm not getting any reply from Indiatimes. What can I do?

I bought a Kids Educational Laptop from Indiatimes.com and when the laptop reached it wasn't working. When I raised a complaint I was given instructions to follow for a reverse pickup in which I had to contact the courier company, Aramex to give the details and quote my account number.

When I took up the process, Aramex gave me a reference number B116340 and committed to pick up the same the following day (Sat) and I had to shift few of my other plans and waited but no one showed up. When I raised this to Indiatimes, they wanted me to wait for 4-5 days. I called the courier company today and they've given some silly reason of incompetancy of reaching me on my mobile which was a sheer story. I finally received a call today (Feb 17) from courier guy asking a reconfirmation of my residential address to pick up the product but when I reached home in the evening to my surprise he did not bother to show up. When I raise these concerns to the customer Care and Complaints email id, there is no one bothered to even respond to my emails.

I wanted to gift this laptop to my nephew for an occasion but because of Indiatimes.com it wasn't achieved. This has caused such an inconvenience and what is that product that doesn't work when bought for a special occasion. I might as well should have bought it myself from some known place for accountability.

I want a reversal of my money back rather than just replacing the laptop as I see no value of getting this product any longer.

Because i have gotten so very frustrated that I have reached the Consumer Forum to get some kind of resolution for this complaint.

It is so annoying that despite a complaint raised on this forum, there hasn't been any response from any representative of Indiatime???

Repeated promises are made by the courier company and no one is showing up to complete the process of reverse pick up. Most frustrating situation is that despite repeatedly bringing this to the Complaint & Customer Care email id's of Indiatimes, there hasn't been any action taken.

Every single time I am raising the same query, I get a response from the same executive for an extension of days!!! Initially it was 4-5 working days and on the 5th day it was extended for another 2-3 days!!!

This is getting unstoppable and I condemn the responses of such a renowned name that only knows to sell a product but not to stand up to the mark of customer satisfaction.
