My PNR NO. is [protected] ,date of journey - 24Nov 12 ,From -Sultanganj(SGG) to Howrah(HWH),By Train-13072 (Jamalpur Howrah Exp),Class of Journey-2A and it was for amount Rs 3150=00(For total 05 Persons).It was booked from IRCTC site. .When chart prepared, my only one pasenger got RAC so i decided to drop journey with all my family member(Total =05 person).Hence I filed TDR for it vide TDR NO. ekt[protected] dtd 1800hrs/24 Nov 12. Now 100 days has been passed but TDR history is not showing any development and still it is showing under process . I had earlier emailed this thing to all given e_mail id of IRCTC but no one is bothering for it and giving reply as "your money is not being refunded by concerned railway zone i.e Eastern Raileays".Now last hope is left with you only and initiate some step from your side so that my money get back to me as early as possible from IRCTC potal.     I booked an e- ticket on 31.5.2014 for travel by Train No.11021 on 5.6.2014 ex Hosur to Madurai under PNR [protected] for two adults. Unfortunately it not visible in the booking history which results inability to cancel the same ticket. Moreover there is no other facilities available in IRCTC web site. Please help me

      Hello Sir,

      I am facing issue with Log in to IRCTC website. It shows invalid password even after getting new password reset through the options they provided.

      This is consistently happening for the last 5 to 6 months. This is something internally can be solved by the net work Engineers who are responsible for this error. I have complaint registered through emails and via phone of IRCTC customer care.

      When we contact them. They do respond with some excuse related to IRCTC website and provide temporary password and I am able to log in with it.

      But when I try after two weeks or So, it fails to log in with the password they provided.!!!

      The bottom line is they know this is a serious issue and not trying to rectify at the earliest and helping the IRCTC users from trouble log in !!. I feel this is some kind act of preventing or reducing the online registration facility !!! which will keep away agents and commission mediums !!??

      IRCTC log in issue — Correct password am using still shows as invalid

      the problem is i ve forgotten the secret question ...

            My wife was supposed to travel from howrah to mumbai on a ticket booked through an IRCTC agent in Mira Road, mumbai. The train timing was 3:15 in the afternoon from howrah railway station but it was more than 6 hours late so she did not travel on that ticket. I asked the agent to file a TDR as according to the railway/IRCTC rules i am entitled to receive 100% refund if the train is late by more than 3 hours. After so many days of filing TDR the irctc has repled back

            Now this is completely untrue as i have replied back to the TDR dept that if the passenger has travelled on that train please provide with some id proof details as it was an E-Ticket. Neither has IRCTC/Railways/Agent has provided any details on this till date.


            If any of the IRCTC/Railways people are reading this kindly help with the matter.

            I hv filed a TDR as I did not travelled by the train for it was late for more than 3 hrs & it has been 4-5 months filing the complaint, bt still I hv not received the cancellation amt my PNR No: [protected]

              Hi,

              I am not able to change date of journey under plan my travel in irctc. As soon as I click on the calender to change date i get an error message 'Please enter date in valid DD/MM/YY format'. I am getting this error in following browsers :Internet Explorer, Google chrome and Mozilla Firefox.Please suggest what can be done.

              Please help me with suggestions.

                Dear sir i take a ticet from irct on 16 june time 1.40 pm to 2 pm i will book the 3 ticent but only 1 ticket booked other 2 two tickent not booked but balance of rs . 366 per ticket total 732 rs. debited my account.

                    Unable to open calendar to select date of Journey

                    Dear team, For the journey from tata to puri i booked ac 3tier ticket amount of 1732 rs for 23rd jan 2013., I filed tdr more than 12 hours before on approx 7pm 22nd january. As per rule, ... (b) If the ticket is presented for cancellation within 24 hours and up to four hours before the scheduled departure of the train, cancellation charges shall be 25% of the fare subject to the min. flat rate mentioned in clause (a).                     Dear Sir/ Mam,

                    I (Sparsh Gupta) had booked a 2AC ticket from Lucknow to Mumbai/LTT (Train no. 05031 GKP/LTT Exp) with date of Journey as 6th April 2013.

                    Due to certain issues i had to cancel my travel plan & hence i tried to apply for cancellation through "Cancel E-Ticket/ Refund" option on IRCTC site. The option did not allow me to cancel the ticket though i tried cancelling the ticket @ 11 a.m. i.e. more than 4 hours before the scheduled departure of train from my boarding station i.e. Lucknow.

                    The train was scheduled for departure from Lucknow @ 16:20 hrs. Hence as per the cancellation rules of IRCTC if the cancellation is applied within 12 hrs but before 4 hrs from the schedule departure of the train, the refund amount is 75% i.e 25% are the cancellation charges.

                    However, when i tried cancelling the ticket through "Cancel E-Ticket/ Refund", the system did not allow me to cancel the ticket throwing message that the "chart is prepared". Hence i proceeded for cancellation through Filing the TDR option

                    The refund of amount through TDR was also filed on the same day i.e. 6th april 2013 between 11.00 am to 12 noon i.e. more than 4hrs from the scheduled departure of the train.

                    However, to my dismay i found that IRCTC has deducted 50% & refunded 50 % of the amount i.e. Rs. 930 against ticket booking amount of Rs. 1905.

                    I request you to please look into the matter & help me getting the correct amount refunded i.e. 75% instead of only 50%.

                      Hi,
                      This is Raghav, I booked a TATKAL TICKET from a railway station ticket counter to travel from HYDERABAD DECCAN to MUMBAI CST in SLEEPER CLASS dated on 20/01/2013 which was a waiting list(49). As all my original ID Proof's are at my residence(Mumbai) i failed to produce original ID to the TTR for which he charged Rs:350/- towards fine.
                      My TATKAL Ticket costs of Rs: 398/- and the fine i paid is Rs:350/-.
                      As my ticket was not confirmed and i didn't get a berth i was sitting at a corner in SL Coach, TTR charged Rs:350/- as fine and even the passengers who are travelling without any ticket has charged the same. Then why should i book a ticket from railway ticket counter instead i can directly get into the train and pay the fine to TTR, so that i can save the ticket fare Rs:398/-
                      And the main point here is to remember, TTR having a limitation of collecting fine of Rs:1,50,000/- per month. So to achieve his targets he is troubling the people who are travelling with a valid ticket. This is not at all a fare part towards the IRCTC.
                      I request you to make some changes in your TERMS AND CONDITIONS so that a normal passenger wont suffer at the time of journey.

                      Note:
                      Please allow the passengers to travel when they produce their XEROX copy of ID proof. Most of them will not carry their original ID Proof for the fear of loosing/Theft of their wallets.
                      Also the TTR's should not trouble the passengers to reach their Target's(Rs:1,50,000/- per month)

                      Indian Railways — CONDITION AND CATERING

                      I AM TRAVELING BY DELHI BILLASPUR RAJDHANI(2442) IN 2 TIER. I BOARDED THIS TRAIN ON 11/03/09. THE CONDITIOIN OF COACH IS THAT CURTAINS ARE TORN. THERE IS NO FLOORING. TOILET AT DELHI STATION FROM WHERE TRAIN STARTED, WAS FILTHY. FOOD SEVERED(TIL NOW THREE MEALS HAVE BEEN SERVED) IS NOT FIT FOR JAILBIRDS. BIRTHS HAVE STAINS(BERTH NUMBER 6 TO BE PRECISE). IT DOES NOT LOOK AND FEEL LIKE RAJDHANI EXPRESS. NOBODY IS WILLING TO TAKE COMPLAINT. YES, BLANKETS AND PILLOWS WERE ALSO FILTHY.

                      As fine as i am not carrying the original id proof. My actual ticket cost is only 500. Whom should i complain about these. In india rowdis are reduced but as the government officials are trained and looted more than that. Shame on railways and the congress government.

                        I booked 3 tickets through IRCTC website using Citibank payment gateway.

                        At last step following message came "Just a moment you are being redirected to merchant site". I was never redirected as the page kept on getting refreshed.

                        On other hand my money got deducted but i did not get a confirmation email or a message if my tickets are booked. What should i do?Finally the session expired

                          I had booked a railway ticket from IRCTC on 19 sep 2012. But I had not travelled as my exams were cancelled.
                          So I had filed TDR (Ticket Deposite Receipt) with reason "Passenger Not Travelled" for PNR Number: [protected] on 6 oct 2012. As per the Extant Railway Rules I should have been refunded half of my total ticket charge within 90 days of filing TDR.My total ticket charge is Rs. 600 but I was refunded only Rs. 75. I have complained to IRCTC twice on email :" [protected]@irctc.co.in" on 11 jan 2013 and 17 jan 2013. In response they said,"We would like to inform you that your below enclosed email has been forwarded to the concerned department.You will receive a reply in this regard shortly".But niether I didn't get any mail further regarding the matter nor any progress in my refund. Even after talking on IRCTC helpline[protected] there is no progress in my refund. I am not getting any trustable response from IRCTC.
                          So please help me.

                            I had booked e ticket from bilaspur to nagpur through train no 6327 korba tvc exp on 22.9.12 vide transaction no [protected] DOJ 29.09.12 after that ticket not booked with remarks PAYMENT NOT RECEIVED FROM BANK but my account had been. debited by rs. 198.48 . but till date I have not yet received refund at your end. Please check at your end and refund at the earliest.

                              Dear Concern
                              This is inform you that i book e-ticket from irctc site on 26/12/2012 pnr no-[protected] but i not travel because train was late more than 4 hours. So i cancel my ticket and file TDR . After that irctc make my refund on 1st jan2013 of amt Rs936 but my booking amount was RS1901. And according to condition where train was late more than 4hours refund will 100%.
                              And second even RS 936 was also not credited in my account till now.
                              So please consider my compailn and resolve it as soon possible.

                                my self n p soni i have reserved ticket in irctc from baroda to bhuj on 11/11/2012 but on that day train was cancelled at time of train departure time .
                                we was with our family & with fully ludgage on the diwali ocation , at 5 pm on that day at 5 pm at the brc station & we found on display regd cancell of that train .we at that time we confused for alternat travel & we do not able to process for refund .
                                after that i have send fully detail for refund to irctc church gate bby but irctc have cancelled our request of refund with reson of delay of our process.
                                so pls help us for our refund.

                                I have booked e-ticket on[protected] from New Delhi (Hazart Nizamuddin) to Guna. We got seats no. S5-1 to 4. Our PNR No. [protected], Train No. 14310, Train Name Ujjaini Express and Transaction No. [protected]. But till date we did not get any information regarding cancellation of this train till 24-2-15. At last moment we would be in problem as you can see our two passengers are senior citizens. Kindly, inform us on how to cancel the e-ticket now and get our money back?
                                Please do the needful and oblige me as early as possible.

                                PNR No. [protected] Train No : 22913 ( NDLS PREMIUM SPL) date of journey 22.05.2015 Transaction id : [protected]. No. of passengers :02, Train got cancelled but we did not receive any message from IRCTC about the train cancellation .we came to know about this after reaching the station also I did not receive any message about the process of getting refund .we received the message on 28th of may15 that I need to cancel the ticket online to get the refund.but till then time limit was surpassed and system is not allowing me to cancel the ticket.
                                Please help me to get the refund of cancelled train.

                                I had a ticket on Azimabad express (12947) from Vadodara to Patna dated 27th May, 2015 (PNR [protected]).
                                The train got cancelled due to Gurjar agitation. I had booked this ticket online but still I have not received refund for the same.

                                  Dear Consumer Forum,

                                  I am a regular traveler / passenger with Indian Railways and mostly book my tickets online.
                                  I want to file a complaint against the Indian Railway for rejecting my TDR application on false grounds.

                                  My ticket details are
                                  PNR no. [protected] Train No. 12102, Travel Date - 27th Nov 2012 From Akola Jn To LTT Mumbai
                                  Four Passengers - Sanjay Sharma (Self) Alka Sharma (My wife) Kalpana Sharma (My Mother) and Pakshalika (My daughter) 8 years.
                                  My case No. is CCR 051212V63949 - I had filed the TDR on 28th Nov 2012

                                  The case in brief is that I had booked a ticket online as above, because an earlier date ticket was not available when I was booking my travel to Akola from Mumbai for Diwali vacations. Then while I was in Akola I got a ticket of earlier date under tatkal and I traveled on that ticket. Due to some problems I could not cancel my above eticket immediately and when I went to cancel it on 26th/27th itself I could not cancel the ticket though it was well before the train time. Hence I had to file the TDR - which as per rule I could do only one after the journey. Then I had to wait for the decision for a month or so. On 20 Dec I got a reply from IRCTC that my TDR was rejected because I had traveled on that date using that ticket. This is too much, how can I travel on that date when I was in Mumbai?

                                  It is a clear case of misuse of my ticket by concerned authorities, who must have marked me & my family on board and allotted that seat to some current passengers who paid good cash since it was a peak season. Had they marked us “no-show” the claim would have gone to RAC passengers which would have caused them a loss of earning which they did not want. So they marked us present on the chart and when I filed for TDR my claim was rejected as the chart showed we all travelled.

                                  I reached Mumbai on 25th and I have all these proofs to establish that my claim was right..

                                  1. A card train ticket booked in TATKAL PNR No. [protected] dt. 24 Nov 2012 Train No. 12106 which has all four passengers mentioned above. The ticket was checked and all o[censored]s are marked present on the ticket by on duty TTE.

                                  2. The Prepaid Taxi Receipt at Dadar Central Station which ferried us home from the station
                                  Receipt NO. ter01a0011806 dt. 25th Nov 2012

                                  3. My car was giving trouble so on 25th Nov I got the battery charged and checked it. On 26th it was towed to the service centre and I have a towing slip dt. 26 Nov 2012 for Rs. 500.

                                  4. On 26th itself I renewed my extended warranty and paid by credit card at Sai Service Borivali (Mumbai) Centre which reflects even in my credit card statement.

                                  5. On 28th I took my mother to SL Raheja Hospital for her scheduled appointment with Dr. Arun Bal. I can furnish that receipt too.

                                  6. My children have attended their schools on all these days.

                                  7. We have our mobile phone bills to establish the fact that all o[censored]s were in Mumbai on these days.

                                  So it is simple how can we be traveling on 27th Nov when we are already in Mumbai? Our tickets were sold which is an act of serious contravention of rules – which has affected us, those travelers who were traveling on RAC tickets and the Indian Railways.

                                  Another issue which I want to bring up here is that Railway Officers don't treat eTicket holders equally with card ticket holders especially when it comes to refund because we don't pay money to railways directly. It's fine, we know that and are prepared for it. But what bothers me is that at many times, the eticket holders become victim and end up losing more money compared to card ticket holders.

                                  Like in the above case, as per the Railways Rules a person should be able to cancel the ticket till the departure of the train and file TDR after that. But you see in my case I was not able to cancel the ticket on 27th, I was getting the message that Chart is prepared at remote location. Had it been a card ticket it could have been cancelled then why is this disparity for the eTicket? What happens if the person has booked the ticket and at last day he finds he can’t travel, then he can’t cancel the ticket in the day time well 8-10 hours in before the train timing. What kind of rule is this. So for Trains originating at Howrah the deadline for ticket cancellation for eTicket holder becomes more than 24 hours, he can never cancel the ticket within 24hours of the train departure time. But for trains originating at Nagpur he can cancel till 2 hours before..then why is there a rule of cancellation till 3 hours train departure for those Howrah trains?

                                  I have more instances when I suffered…

                                  1. The train was more than 8 hours late but still people who had card tickets got refund from the counters and eticket holders were asked to file the TDRs and finally after two months we got the reply that train was not more than 3 hours late as per their records!! This was on[protected] when I was returning from Akola to Mumbai.

                                  2. It even happened once when the route was diverted and once when I was not able to board the train due to the procession as train was packed by the demonstrators traveling.

                                  I am attaching the documents for your reference, please look into the matter and do the needful.

                                    I booked the ticket through irctc and not availed due to my upper class ticket confirmed in same train.I filed TDR for above tkt PNR NO [protected] journey dt 02/09/12 and filed TDR on dt 08/09/12 since ticket was confd. The ticket on which I travelled PNR NO is [protected] dt of journey 02/09/12 in same train .But after filing TDR its time limit has been over and yet i am not satisfied with the reply after providing required data to IRCTC.
