On my way from Pune to New Delhi on the 24th April, 2012 from Indigo flight no. 6E 102 the airline lost 1 of my 2 checked in baggages. It was an Ecolac black and grey soft cover suitcase with trolley. It weighed around 8-9kgs. The airline is compensating for the loss with only Rs. 1600 where as the contents in the suitcase were worth around Rs.[protected].
TOOK INDIGO AIRLINES FLIGHT 6E 343, BANGALORE TO KOLKATA, ON SATURDAY 12th NOV’11. ON LANDING IN KOLKATA , I FOUND THAT THEY LOST MY BAGGAGE. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK AT KOLKATA AIRPORT FILLED A MISSING LUGGAGE FORM- CCU/M/19. SINCE THEN EVERYTIME I HAVE TO CALL UP FOR UPDATES. INDIGO AIRLINES IS LEAST BOTHERED.
TOTALLY FEEL HARASSED & CHEATED. RIGHT FROM CHECK IN AT THE INDIGO BANGALORE AIRPORT COUNTER, SOMETHING WAS NOT RIGHT. INEFFICIENT STAFF. ATTENDING MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS SIMULTANEOUSLY AND MAKING MESS OF IT ALL.
THEY CLAIM TO BE THE BEST….WHAT A HOAX.
indigo claims that it has got all the awards for its service excellence I wish they are more professional and prompt in their baggage handling and dealing with customer complaints and compensations if inevitable

Canceled Booking

I need urgent in my situation, about PNR WEEENH. The payment was taken of my account but i have no ticket! The travel is for Jan 15th And I need the refund to buy another ticket. I'm waiting contact but the company hasn't made any!!

    Hi Sir,

    I have booked 2 tickets for my parents from Dubai to Mumbai And then Mumbai to Indore for 24th April from Indigo. And I also have updated the Personal Assistance remarks to my parent’s tickets. As my mother have Spine surgery and she can’t stand more then half hour continuously. After updation my father was rushing here and there and mumbai airport Indigo staff has not taken any initiatives to help my parents. They were having connecting flight from Dubai to Mumbai and then 12 hours period was there in mumbai and then next flight was after 12 hours form mumbai to Indore.

    My father and mother have been told to sit on chairs for 12 hours available at domestic airport and since 1 o’clock (night) to next day 25th April 1 o’clock they were sitting at domestic airport. After giving prior information to the Indigo staff they have not asked them to stay at international airport as the facilities and sitting arrangements was better there for my mother. They just took them to domestic airport and no assistant was present for helping them. My mother got savior back ache due to that. Also your Airport executive charged extra luggage charges from them for mumbai to indore flight. Where as per IATA guidelines all the international passengers - same luggage policy is allowed when they are travelling from Dubai to Indoe (MP).

    Also when your customer care executive hardeep (Yesterday 24 april at 10 o'clock on recorded line) told me that 30kg baggage is allowed from dubai to indore then why they have charged extra amount from mumbai to indore on luggage ?

    I will surely complaint about the irresponsible behavior of Indigo call center and staff to every higher level of Indigo as well as IATA govt authorities.

    Indigo pepole are not at all cooperative. I had demise at my family i reached air port at Goa at 16.50 i had flight for 17.10 but they not allowed us to go. They are not a human in true sense. This will go to IATA complaint also

      I had made a booking in an Indigo flight 6E523, to travel from Chennai to Kolkata on 06 Apr, 2012, Friday. The departure time of the flight was 08:10 AM. I was left stranded at the airport and the flight departed without me on board even after I was done with my security checking.
      I had checked in at the airport at 06:30 AM and had got my boarding pass at the around the same time. I was seated in front of the Indigo check-in counter and was monitoring the status of my flight on the display screen at the airport. Till 07:40 AM the display showed that the flight is “Scheduled” but did not show that security check-in had started for the flight. As I had experienced gate nos. being changed at the last moment, I had not gone for security check-in at Gate No. 8 as specified in my boarding pass and was waiting for status to update in the display.
      But the boarding time in the pass was specified as 07:30 AM. As the time was already 07:40 AM I went up to an Indigo check-in counter and enquired with one of their staff if security-check in had started for the flight. To which he replied, “You still have time”. But when the status did not update even till 07:50 AM and the flight was to depart at 08:10 AM, I went for security check-in at gate 8.I completed with my security check and was seated in front of Gate 8 at 07:55 AM. Even the display there showed the flight as scheduled. The display above gate 8 also did not show that boarding for the flight was being done there.
      But when I did not find any change in the status even till 08:10 AM, I enquired what to do to a passenger seated next to me as I could not find a single Indigo staff at that floor. He suggested that I take the stairs down and catch hold of an Indigo staff.
      When I went down and got hold of an Indigo staff at 08:20 AM, she in turn started shouting at me for not turning up! She said she had paged my name of the microphone many times and asked me “were you sleeping”! When I failed trying to explain what had happened to the staff, who was not ready to listen to a single word that I was telling, I asked for the next alternative. She said she could try to board me on an afternoon flight at 01:50 PM. I was taken to the same check-in counter where I was waiting where I found the same guy who had told me that there was time to security check-in. When I mentioned this to the staff who brought me there, she said, I agree mistake has been made by our staff but why did you not turn up when we paged your name many times. I was seated at the third row in front of gate 8 and the microphone was sparsely audible there, although I am sure I did not hear my name on the microphone at any time b/w 07:55 AM to 08:10 AM. And I surely WAS NOT SLEEPING!
      Then the staff who brought me there said that I will have to meet their manager and I was made to sit in front of check-in counter for ONE HOUR till around 10 AM. On enquiring for the THIRD TIME if their manager had come I was taken to a room and was made to stand outside while the manager was talking seated inside! Even my case was not relayed to her and I myself had to explain the whole situation to her! After listening to the case she asked me to call the person who had given me wrong information that there was time to board the flight. After I called the guy, the manager questioned him and she understood that a miss had been made on their part. She asked him (in Hindi, though she was conversing the whole time with me in English but I happened to be well versed in Hindi) if he logged into the system to check if boarding had started for the flight and if he had verified for the staff in charge for the boarding of this flight, before giving me that answer. The person’s answer to both the questions were a “NO”. The manager also asked to me the same thing, as to why you did not respond when we paged your name so many times and that they even tried calling my number [protected] given at the time of booking. When I told her there was no log in my phone of such a call being made, she had nothing to say!
      But even after understanding that a miss had been made on their part, all the manager had to say was that I would be accommodated in an alternate flight at 01:50 PM and that I would have to pay a 1500 rs plus the fare difference of 4100 rs. I requested many times that at least I should not be charged anything but she did not agree to it and in-fact kept my cancelled boarding pass on her table and started doing her other tasks. She in-fact left her office and was away somewhere in some time with me still standing there! Another staff in the office booked me a ticket in the flight and she said that the fare difference is 4626 and not 4100! I finally had to pay 6126 rs and take a flight at 01:50 PM to complete my travel. My original round trip ticket cost me 7384 rs, i.e around 3800 rs for one way. Instead I ended up paying around 9818 rs for the same.
      I raised a complaint on the Indigo site to which they replied that they understood the situation but there is no way they could make a refund even then.

        when I returned from Kolkata to Mumbai on 16th April, 2012 by Indigo 6E 324, seat no. 19E,Which arrived in at 2:30 pm, after collecting my baggage from the belt at Chhatrapati Shivaji Domestic Airport, I found my new bag 6E[protected] , SEQ - 0076, was torn and what I saw then I could'nt believe my eyes. I saw the loaders / porters just throwing the passangers bags from the Jeep directly on the belt which is very wrong. I unfortunately did not capture what I saw, This is how the staff with the airlines handle the passanger's valueables that we passangers pass on to you to take care with faith . I have informed about the damage done to my bag to the counter staff at the baggage counter who has also taken the photograph of my damaged bag and want the airlines pay the damage charges for my baggage at the earliest as the reason for the damage is because of the sheer negligence and laziness of your staff.

          i have booked a flight ticket in INDIGO Airlines from CHENNAI to MUMBAI 6E 194 on 2nd april 2012.

          it was mentioned in the ticket that the flight will depart at 5:40 am from chennai and later it has been chenged to 5:25 am and intimated through sms.i reached the boarding pass counter by 4:47 am after checking my bagage(it took around 5 mins). But they dint allow me to checkin.

          The response of the lady in check-in counter is so bad..she said its closed and talking to someone else and no even minding me.i was standing in other que before this.if i calculate all the time i reached the counter in time and they dint allow me to check-in.They are not refunding the money for the ticket too.they said they will accomodate in next flight in evening and i have to pay Rs 5400 extra.
          i reached the bagage counter before 5 mins and there no body intimated about the closure of the counter.I NEED THE MONEY BACK.it was horrible experience with the indigo guys.i fainted because of this and nobody minded about that(there is no humanity too).
          i had to book one more ticket in someother airlines and have to go.This was horrible experience that i have to was to waste the whole day and the money too.
          please get my money Rs 3885 back

            FIRST OF ALL WHEN I HAD BOOKED THE TICKET U HAD NOT GIVEN ME THE TICKETS IMMIDIATELY FOR GETTING MY OWN I HAD TO CALLED TWICE THRICE THEN I HAD FIGHT FOR THE CUSTOMER CALL PERSON THEN HE GIVE ME SOME STUPID ANSWER THAT THE INFANT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TICKET AND IN THE TICKET INFANT IS INCLUDED..
            THEN HOW ALL I GOT THE TICKET IN 15 DAYS THANKS FOT THE EFFORT,NOW I GOT A MESSAGE FROM INDIGO AIRLINES THAT U R FLIGHT IS RESCHEDULE ON SAME DAY BUT TIMING IS OF 3.15PM NOON.NOW MY SITUATION IS I CANT TAKE ANOTHER TICKET DUE TO THE CHARGES WHICH WILL BE 4 TIME GREATER THAN THE ACTUAL TICKET..........               I had booked tickets on 27/2/2012 from Delhi to Bangalore but as i was not carrying my Debit Card(Ticket booked on-line) i was asked to pay the fare while boarding the Flight and assured i will get a refund in 7 days time.

              Today is 26/03/2012 but i have still not received my Refund.

              on reaching the airport i was informed of the cancellation of my flight from hyderabad to banglore on 7 th jan 08. the ticket was booked through a travel agent on 19 th dec 07. the indigo airlines staff cancelled my ticket and said the amount would be transfered to the credit card acc. through which it was booked. it has been 4 months since and the money has not yet reached the said acc. pl. hurry and do the needful. some details:

              E-Ticket for chennai to Delhi was booked on 11.04.2008 for journey on 16.04.2008.
              The same was cancelled on 16.04.2008. The refund due on this account amounting to Rs. 3349/- (Rs. 4099-750 cancellation charges) is not found credit to my card statement. Kindly do the needful to credit the amount without delay.

              I purchased a ticket bearing PNR no. A2HYLX from INDIGO Airlines on 01/6/2009 at Rs.2230.00 and cancelled the same on 03/8/2009. The Airlines did not give me any cash or card refund and instead they kept the refund amount Rs.1480.00 (RS.2230.00 -750.00) as ‘’ credit shell ’’under their control for future booking within one year. I rebooked a ticket on 03.8.2010 at Rs.3782.00 bearig PNR no.M6SQBE by using credit of Rs.1480.00 & cash/card of Rs.2302.00. and cancelled the same on 11.9.2010. The Airlines has refunded me Rs.1552.00 (2302.00 -750.00) instead of Rs.3032.00 (Rs.3782.00-750.00) . The matter has been brought to the notice of the INDIGO Airlines and the Airlines has informed me that the amount Rs.1480.00 can not be refunded as the same has expired after completion of one year.
              I do not agree with the decision of the INDIGO Airlines as the same are contrary to the citizen charter. Because I have already used the credit amounting Rs.1480.00 within one year for purchasing the ticket bearing PNR no.M6SQBE and therefore it did not expire. Further this amount Rs.1480.00 has been merged with the total ticketed amount (Rs.3782.00) of M6SQBE and losses its separate identity. When the PNRno.M6SQBE is cancelled, the refund is to be granted on the total payment of the Itinerary-M6SQBE minus the calcellation charge.
              The Kingfisher Airlines (erstwhile Airdeccan) in a similar case refunded me the total payment of the Itinerary (PNRno. BLULLA) where ‘credit shell’ was used during booking but losses its time limit during cancellation.
              So the INDIGO Airlines is bound to refund the total payment amount minus the calcellation charge (Rs.3782.00 – Rs.750.00) of the Itinerary –M6SQBE at the earliest.

              Indigo Airlines, the worst airlines I have ever seen, I will share my worst experience with you all passengers. I purchased my air ticket at 2:15 and I boarded at 3 o clock to the bus, as the traffic was high, I called the Indigo people stating that I will be reaching little bit late, please make an exception for me as I am having a medical emergency as my aunt was in the ICU. The passenger boarded at 5:15 and I reached at 5:20, and I requested them to make me an exception, but the ground crew member who used to handle the position at evening shift behaved me in such a way that, I was shocked. Even I begged on my knees in front of them, but the lady hostess was doing her duty and told me that nothing can be done.

              I then spoke to someone else in Indigo, she was a hostess who was issuing the Air Tickets. I requested her also to please consider my situation and make me an exception, she told me that she will allow me reaccomodation in another flight in the morning, but I have to pay 1800 Rs for that. I was fine with the terms she said, and she referred me to next cabin crew member, I was just waiting for my turn to talk to the crew member, when I requested her, she told me the additional fare rate, I was fine with the rates and asked for 1 and half hour time pay the amount. First the crewmember refused me and said that she will not be able to wait. But after requesting her, she talked to someone else and said that as my Flight has boarded I can, t reaccomadate to the other flight. I know it is something technical terms, which I also din, t understood at that moment. My flight number was 6E-343 AND TRIP ID WAS [protected].

              Does the rules are more important than life taking situation. I know what I am paying for the delay of 5 minutes.

              I know you Indigo people are going review this and going to delete all these stuffs. but does not matters I have given all these information to show you all people the images of your poor Customer satisfaction. As I am Software engineer I bet you people this article will be found within few days in all the forums.

              I had horrible experience with indigo airline.My friend who was suppose to catch his flight from Delhi to Dubai on July 22 2012 with indigo was not allowed to board the flight by immigration officials as he did not have immigration check not required stamp not there on his passport as a result the flight had to leave him behind which is fair enough.But my anguish is the immigration officials informed the indigo ground staff about all this ,so the staff should have cancelled his ticket right there and there for refund or given him credit for the same.but they did not do any thing.When i went to indigo office for the same the manager was helpful at all and did not hear me out .In short i was not allowed to use my rights as i customer.I would appreciate if some one from indigo could sort out this matter for me if they really want to stay in business.my contact is [protected] Mumbai.
              My name is Sonali Nandi Bose. I had booked a ticket from Indigo Airlines for travel from Delhi to Kolkata on 19th April 2013 and a return journey from Kolkata to Delhi on 21st April 2013. My PNR is SRCMDN. I cancelled the ticket and had requested for a refund on 17th April 2013. Till today(07th May 2013), I have not received the refund of Rs. 16013=00(Rupees Sixteen thousand and thirteen only). I had requested for a Transaction ID from Indigo as they claim that they refunded the money on 23rd April 2013. Indigo could not even provide me with the Transaction ID. Every day I have been calling them up and following up with Indigo, but everyday they are asking for next 24 hours. I am really harassed by this and I request to take necessary action so that I can get back my refund.

              i booked a ticket with reference KUD7LS and by mistake i miss understood the date of booking as date of journey.therefore, i re-planned the flight. But i came to know that i re-booked the same flight dated[protected] and it took rs.3000 as changing charge, but actually there was neither change in flight nor on the date of travel i.e. the ticket was re-booked on same date and in the same flight.when i complained this to the customer care they said this is a normal case and only rs.2000/- can be refunded(i got rs.2000/- refunded).i just wanted to know can't i get full rs.3000/- as refund or not.

                I HAD REACHED THE COUNTERS AT 5:15AM AFTER GETTING MY BAG SECUTITY CHECKED AND ALL TO CATCH THE FLIGHT FOR 6:00AM. BUT I WAS NOT GIVIN THE BOARDING PASS. THIS PEOPLE ARE JUST DOING BUSINESS. THEY CHEAT NORMAL PEOPLE BY GIVING ALL EXCUSES.

                THEY AT LAST DIDNT REFUND MY MONEY AND I GUESS THEY HAVE SOLD OUT MY TICKET.

                This was a really terrible and horrifying experience for me and I caused a lot of stress and mental pressure on me

                    This is Pallavi Dubey. I travelled from Mumbai to Lucknow on 7th of March 2012. Reaching Lucknow, I realised that my 15 kg check-in suitcase was missing. Since then I am following up with the Indigo team in Lucknow but till now they have not been able to trace the bag. Once we check-in the baggage , it becomes airline's responsibility to deliver in safely to us. Its my request to Indigo Airlines to look into this matter carefully or else the only option left with me is to move to court.                       I am a frequent flier of indigo and i was very disappointed at this time at Mumbai airport on 21st Mumbai - Kolkatta flight at 9:40 am

                      I was flying with my family(My wife, child(3 years old) and an infant(5 weeks old). I had 77 kgs of weight and no handbags since i can't carry handbags and manage the kids at the same time. The manager at the airport was inhumane and made me wait along with a crying infant for about 40 harrowing minutes saying that I need to pay for 17 kgs. His name is Mr. Lohit. I told him that I am allowed to carry 27X3=81 kgs and if he has any sensitivity about the situation that I have an infant and a child and can't carry handbags and still below the required weight he should let me go in. He was so rude and I have flown to different part of the world and never had such a harrowing time. I am a public servant and a human rights activist. I have approached my lawyer to file a case against the airline. On mental torture and inhumane treatment of an infant and lactating mother. I would wait for week for your response, reimbursement of stolen money and rectification of injustice done.

                        I booked Indigo ticket vide PNR No CBWNBE for travel as follows

                        Mumbai- Delhi on 10th Feb (6E- 186 ) at 1740Hrs, and
                        Delhi- Mumbai on 13th Feb (6E-183) at 640 hrs

                        I however did not recieve the ticket on my mail (despite the autoreponder saying so). I normally book my travel tickets two months in advance (I currently have Indigo tickets upto April end) and take prints just before the travel.

                        In the above mentioned case, since I did not recieve tickets on the mail (another similar case reported to Indigo PNR No UC59CE), I could not locate the ticket before the travel and was forced to book fresh tickets on the day of travel (10th Feb) as under


                        SG-218 on 10th Feb at 1805 hrs (PNR No SY4WDC), and
                        IT-353 on 13th Feb at 720 Hrs (PNR No JQJMSD)


                        I travelled on the new tickets on the same dates as originally booked with Indigo incurring an extra expense of INR 11,000 due to fault in the Indigo server

                        I seek your help in resolution of this complaint, since Indigo is not reply to my reminders

                          I was supposed to take the Indigo flight from Calcutta to Delhi and then the connecting flight to New York, USA . As this was international travel I have a baggage allowance of more than 20 kgs ,this was mentioned to me by the Indigo call centre and told there would be no excess baggage if the flight is within 24hrz and is a connecting international flight. However in the Kolkata airport I was harrased for excess baggage, the ground staff was unsupportive and extremely rude . The airport manager of Indigo did not know the rules and did not want to follow logic ( by the name of Mr Deepak - Indigo employee ) . The ground staff handling the passager before boarding of the flight is extremely rude , insenstive and speak in an extremely colloquiel way. I was impressed with the performace of Indigo recently and had thought of recommending the same to my company colleagues, however this experience has left me upset .                             I have been trying various numbers but am not been given a reply. I travelled with my family from dubai and reached mumbai on 30th January, 2011. The bag which was checked in is apparently broken and some valuables ( cash, perfumes, expensive clothes) are missing. I have no where to go now except going to the consumer court. please help. this is actually harrowing for us. At the airport, they have given us a damage report and nothing else. Is this the post sales service Indigo Airlines has to offer?

                              Planned to visit Dibrugarh from Delhi by Indigo Airlines on 20.01.2012. Booked tickets for five passengers on 30 th August 2011 from Delhi to Dibrugarh via Kolkata ( PNR RH3SBW, Make My Trip Booking ID-NF[protected].                                 Departure: Hyderabad at 15.35 Arrival: Cochin at 17.05.Total fare -2 passengers is Rs.17,000.

                                On the 18th Jan 12, my in laws(both senior citizens) had to travel to Cochin from Hyderabad due to death in the family(Father in law's mother). We booked flight tickets the moment we were aware of the demise around 1PM - 1:15 PM IST from make my trip website. The earliest flight was at 3:35 PM IST and had booked it to reach the destination ASAP. Unfortunately due to travel delays, my in law's could reach the checkin counter only by 3:15 PM, however the checkin time was over and they were not given the boarding passes.The aircraft was still at the Hyd airport, however the airport staff could not help board the flight or atleast guide an alternative even after they were aware of our purpose to travel.Finally they travelled by bus for the funeral ceremony.One of the Indigo personal at airport said since booking was done by MMTrip if they are ready for refund then we can get refund. When we spoke to MMTrip they said that if Indigo is ready to pay the cancellation charges to them they can refund.After prolonged conversation with Indigo personal over phone they said that after cancellation charges and no show charges we are entitled for Rs.1392. Attached the response from Indigo Customer relations. Sad that human sentiments are given zero value and they talk about being a model for the other airlines.

                                  I had booked a ticket by INDIGO 6E-435 from bangalore to Indore on 16th January 2012. The flight was scheduled for departure at 6 20 am. I reached the airport at 4am and was in que for obtaining a boarding pass. At the counter they made me wait for more than 25 minutes to accommodate some other passengers for some other flight. These passengers collected their boarding passes without following the que.
                                  I was given the boarding pass at 5 45 am. Then i had to come in que for completing the security check. Here they did not allow me to bypass the que even though i told them that my flight is scheduled for departure at 6 20 am. The display boards were not indicating the status of 6E-435 and there were no mike announcements too about the flight departure.
                                  After completing my security check, when i reached the counter i was told that i had missed my flight and i was left in lurch. They collected my boarding pass and sent me out of the airport. I missed my journey and money was not refunded. Then I again purchased a ticket to indore by paying Rs 8220 by Jet airways and travelled to delhi by 9W 7008 and from delhi to indore by 9W 2018, reaching indore at 5pm.
                                  My important meeting was cancelled and I lost Rs 8220
                                  I suffered an irreparable injury and underwent lot of agony and all this happened because of indigo crew. Kindly answer me who will pay for my losses. The indigo people should explain. In anticipation of receiving the compensation, kindly acknowledge the receipt of this letter and waiting for your reply

                                        No intemation for delay in flight,reason told by Mr.pranjeet(manager) is fog in delhi which we can't control,so if you wish to travel then check in or can cancel the ticket.I have asked for apolize letter from airlines.if intemate in morning than I could have taken ticket for 1 pm flight.

                                        Today is my brother marriage reception and I am alone leaving last.so I missing my whole family and function.

                                        So I want appolize letter from that company.
