Order # 5589854 (Kenstar Rice Cooker)
My fiancee had ordered kenstar rice cooker on Sept 17th, where we gave correct India mailing address, USA billing address and contact number.

On Sept 28th, the online tracking system reported that the product has been delivered. However on checking with the recipient, the product was not delivered. Also, rediff's confirmation email had contact numbers and names that are bogus. On emailing rediff customer service several times, we finally got a response saying, they will look into it , followed by, claim that we provided incorrect address and contact number. Upon challenging this, they finally agreed to ship it again.

and the same story continued. Everytime we tried to follow up (this time I got rediff customer contact number somehow), they repeated the story "You have given us wrong recipient contact number". When we gave them correct numbers, they repeated same story again next day.

It is 19th October and after several verbal and email assurances, the recipient has not yet received the product. We contacted Mr Neeraj (who is rediff shopping manager) : [protected] and even his assurances are not working. He also gave an assurance that the product will be delivered on 19th October. In an event it does not, he will refund our money and personally hand deliver.

I have been trying to get in touch with him and now he doesn't pick up the phone. I need to lodge an official complaint against redif[censored]nder ' Right to information Act' and do whatever it takes to get them pay for all the troubles. They have an absolute unprofessional customer service and bogus claims. Please fee free to call me at +[protected] for further details. Attached is the printshot of rediffs first confirmation email.

    Purchased microwave oven on[protected] from Meghana Metals Sitabuldi Nagpur. They directed the representative for demo the very next day who though visited gave two land line numbers and one mobile number and advised that the representative will visiting them any time with a days notice for demo on how to use the oven for various uses.

    However, land lines contacted keep ringing ang the mobile is out of reach.

    Will you help deputing the representative for demo and our use of the oven.

    in december 2010 one of my friend gifted me KenStra Mocrowave oven, so i dont have it bill receipt.
    this yeear in september i want to use it so that i called companies customer care no on 6/9/2011 they sms me my complaint no and service man's contact no on 9/9/2011, so that i called that service man and he told me that he will come at earliest. i call 3 times till date to him and companies customer care but still no one taken my complait seriously.
    Please help
    they kenstar people never come to you, ...they are looting public money and thereafter they forget...my condolences to your microwave and special sympathy to your friend who choose kenstar product to gift you.. the same microwave ..has stopped working after a day of purchase...at my house too.i have the purchase receipt...calls...serivce centers...etc but two months hyas passsed to any KENSTAR people to do anything...only you can do three things...
    NEVER PURCHASE ANY VIDEOCON OWNED PRODUCTS (KENSTER IS OWNED BY VIDEOCON) IN YOUR LIFE.
    TELL YOUR OTHER FRIEDNDS, RELATIVES, COLLEGAUES TO NOT TO PURCHASE..

      I purchased a KENSTAR SLIMLINE COOLER(Model No : SD-0434 ; Serial No : B9A-00730), purchased on 15th April 2009 is not working since May 2009, just 1 month after the purchase
      I've tried complaining to the dealer as well as the service centre around 6 times but no one comes
      They gave me 6 complaint Nos(JAI[protected], JAI[protected],JAI[protected],JAI[protected],JAI[protected],JAI[protected])

        I lodged complaint against slow running of blower,burnt smell from cooler on 22/9/09,after repeatedly complaining against the same So called Kenstar Service person (Ph;[protected]) came on 3/10/2009,he opened the cooler,said that,motor burnt,He recklessly cut the wires inside the cooler and replaced the motor which he bought with himself. WHILE CHECKING HE FOUND THAT REPLACED MOTOR ALSO NOT WORKING!!!!, He told himself that this motors are very poor quality....He promised me that he will come after two days.till today he haven't visited again.i again contacted customer care,they told me that,they are giving me new COMPLAINT NO!!!!!!!, they also started cheating me by giving false informations.for god sake I have recorded all the conversations,Now i think,my air cooler is Unsafe to Use although it got repaired,since unsafe Cut wire joints and it has to work in humid condition, I claim for replacement,otherwise,i will burn this Kenstar product in the middle of a busy Street with Banners, showing my records to the public and i think Protest is only way for such works.Pls support me ......

          We had purchased le pure water purifier model WP-0910 from MAHAVIR ELECTRICALS CUTTACK,ORISSA,INDIA.We regrate to inform you that no service has been provided by MAHAVIR ELECTRICALS inspite of our repeated reminder.The purifier not working.

          We had purchased le pure water purifier model. .We regrate to inform you that no service has been provided.The service is being provided by a local person at a very high cost. Its UV tube has to be replaced quite often. Presently its not working. Please from where can be find original UV tube for the water puriifer.

          Hence we request you to take immediate action for the service of our water purifier.

            I had bought 2 set of Mixture Model 9603 in different date from CROCKERY CENTRE, 41-E Chandney Chowk Street, Kolkata 700 072. One in 27/09/2000 and another on 08/08/02 bearing srl. no. 37650 and 23725 respectively under the scheme of LIFE LONG WARRANTY ON MOTOR (12 years). For life long motor warranty comapany applied one condition and that was every year user supposed to bring the main unit (Motor unit) to any of their service centre and service centre will take care of the motor unit against a FREE SERVICE COUPON given by company at the time of purchase. Till last year I have done this practice and no problem arises. Till last year I have taken service either from JUPITER INTERNATIONAL of 47 MOTT LANE, KOLKATA or from VENUS DISTRIBUTORS of 6-B BENTINCK STREET, KOLKATA. This year I have called on 30th September both the company and got reply, now they are not given service on behalf of KENSTAR under warranty but they have given one phone no of Linton Street. I have called there and I was asked to send those unit to SERVICE CENTRE at LINTON STREET. I sent those unit through my person and when he reached there he got information that no service of MIXTURE is done by them and they could not be able to help also, where I can send to get service. At last from a different source I got the address o[censored]NITED REFRIGERATOR COMPANY of 88A A J C BOSE ROAD, KOLKATA[protected]/8292) who will provide service. I sent those to UNITED REFRIGERATOR on next day. They have given service but they have charged Rs. 200/- for 2 units whereas I have produce the FREE SERVICE COUPON.
            I will be very glad if I get the correct information from where I can get proper service and also want to know, why I should pay for MOTOR SERVICE against FREE SERVICE COUPON.

              Kenstar Water Purifier — Hopeless after sales-service

              I registered in Kenstar toll free number. This machine is lying without use from last 4 months. One of service guy came and found the leakage problem and promised to replace the part in 15-20 days.

              Many times we did call to service center. There is one person Mr.Jha who abused and said not to call again and again, even asked to through out the machine.

              I tried my best to resolve the issue amicably, if your company is not able to supply components within a week time than I will lodge complain in Consumer court.

              Unfortunately the complaint I registered in Call center for Kenstar but I never received any call from your side but received call from Videocon which quite ridiculous.

              I hope someone will look into the matter promptly and acknowledge me of this mail with some solution.

              kenstar - water purifier — no after sale service

              I bought a Kenstar water purifier in Bhopal. After two months it started leaking. I have complained and the service man came after waiting for two weeks and many reminders. The original parts were not avaiable with him and he made some kind of jugad and it worked for three months more. After five months it started leaking again. I have complained to the shop, service center and later to company head office. I have even recieved a complaint number on 3 Nov 2008. It took almost three months to get the complaint registered. the complaint number is 7Y[protected]. I have written to the head office. Again sent a reminder to no effect. I have no idea what further I can do. I have approched the consumer forum. They are also moving so slow, one is not sure what is happening to the complaint. If you can suggest what more can be done please advice me.

              Kenstar Water Purifier — No response even 10 days after complaint

              I have lodged a request for re-installation of my Kenstar Water Purifier on[protected]. Today is[protected]. No response from the company. I would have made atleast 50 calls to call centre.
              Very bad service of Kenstar. No body is responding very bad.

                I had purchased a Kenstar make Le Pure water Purifer on 17.09.09, today being 30.09.09 (almost 15days from the date of purchase) no one has come till date to install the equipment. Kenstar site claims 24hr. service.

                The above despite the fact that I have paid the full amount in Advance & have been following up with the dealer regularly for same.

Dealer is telling that it cannot be repairable and only solution is to buy new one. I had searched in many shops in Kerala but not got a spare one. Plese advice me where I can buy a new one.                       I have complain several times for repair my grinder .
                      almost one month passed ,still I am struggling for repair of my grinder.
                      If anybody plan to purchase any product of kenstar Please do not buy .
                      Reason is following.
                      1)More noisy more than 90 db which one harmfull to child.
                      2)Small jar is not proper grind which one is most used.
                      3)Worst service of product.
                      4)Their Maximum Products are manufactured in china.
                      5)CG of their mixer is less compare to other.
                      6)Due to white colour more cleanig required.
                      7)More Power Consumed.

                      kenstar Mixer grinder — complaint about the lid in the chutney jar

                      The lid of chutney jar broke and got mixed with ingredients when I was making chutney. Now there is no source to buy the lid of the jar. Please help

                        Dear sir/madam
                        here i want to bring to your notice that i have purchase a Kenstar slimline cooler from greater noida based aggarwal elect. shop and after 3 months its pump not working after complaint persons come and check the model of cooler which i clearly mention in my complaint but only giving me a promise to change this next time,after repeat complaint he was come with a pump with another model and fit it,and this is very funny to see that it is short in length and aprrox 2" above that means the water is left unused 2" in height out of 9" tank.He left with a promise to come back with right model but still after 25 days we are waiting,pls do the needful to change this.

                          Dear Sir,
                          my Kenstar washing machine model LS-63 found problem in washtub in the month of october 2008 and I complain this to dealer from where i purchased that. He gave me the Kenstar complain no, and i complain this to them. In the month of December 2008, I forced the dealer to solve my problem or else give me alternate product till its get repaired. Due to my repeated complaint a service person came to me In the month of February 2009 from HUBLI service division. He inspected the product and informed that its washtub mechanisum to be replaced as it get damaged, as the spare is not available presently he will be come after a week with the spare. I waited for a week and i called again to the service provider in Hubli, He told me to register complain in kenstar only. From then i repeatedly calling Kenstar and giving complain. Each time the person is telling that he can understan my problem and he is very sorry that my problem is not solved from so many months, and he will raised this with there seniors and my problem will be solved within 24 hours. And again i will wait for another one or two days and same that i will register my complain again. This is am doing from last so many months and that 24 hours is not yet come to that Kenstar people. My recent complain No is MAN[protected].

                            Our product Kenstar Microwave is not gettting heated for the last three days.

                            Needs to be repaired and to be taken back in use as soon as possible.

                            Dear Sir,
                            I have a Kenstar Mictowave oven, recently its transformer has stopped working and changed. I have paid the amount due, but the person did some mistake in repairing and the the bulb inside for light stopped function. so there is no light when it functions.
                            I made so many request, person has not visited again. Then I had complained in kenstar office then another person named Jignesh from Karamsad visited but without bulb to change and asked to visit again to do so.
                            Since then, 3 months had passed the person everytime promises but never turned up.
                            Is it the way a reputed company like Kenstar is functioning?

                              I have purchased Kenstar Tumble Top (LF 2008) from Advance Electronics, Ankleshwar (Gujarat).

                              It is really a very good washing machine. Recently I am facing problem with its connectivity to the Tap (water connection) and water is getting leaked from bottom of the machine.

                              When I contacted the Advance Electronics, they informed that they don't have any person to attend this complaint and this machine can be replaced with other machine only for Rs.700/-


                              Thus request you to please help me out to resolve this complaint.

                                I had purchased a KENSTAR Washing Machine Model No. LS63 from M/s Mass Marketing, Durga Market, Asansol on Jan21,2008.Since the very next day the cover of the dryer started giving problems, it used to open all of a sudden on its own. I had registered a complaint for replacement of the machine but the dealer said that a machine can only be replaced when there is an engine fault, and then made some temporary arrangement to check the fault. The problem persisted and it has occurred atleast 5 times since the date of purchase, and each time the mechanic made some cosmetic arrangements. Now 1 year has passed and the dealer is asking for a hefty amount to correct the entire thing and bring a permanent solution to it. My query is when the dealer had a permanent solution for it why did he not do it in the first place and waited for the expiry of the warranty period. The KENSTAR website is virus affected and I am unable to register my complaint. I heard of CNBC AWAZ PEHREDAAR and have even some of its shows, and am solely trusting on your channel so that my woes could end.

                                  Dear Sir,

                                  I have purchased one le pure model water purifier from Kenstar. For the servicing of said machine I am facing a lot of problem.
                                  1) I have requested there service center at Konnagor, West Bengal to do the paid service of that machine for 6 times then they said their representative.
                                  2) At the time of servicing that representative found some problem like crack in some parts and the light inside is fuse.
                                  3) He took full service charges on that we paid and committed to come within 2 days.
                                  4) That job has been carried out by the authorised service center 21days back and after that a lot of assurance given by the recepsonist of that service center but till date nobody has attended.

                                  Now my question is :
                                  1) How that bulb got fuse within about 2 years 6 months.
                                  2) How some chember of that m.c got crack.
                                  3) Without doing entire job how the representative took the money for service charge.
                                  4) When I am ready to pay why parts not being replaced within 20 days.
                                  5) What is the use of such purifier, if somsthing happen whether Kenstar will take the responsibility.

                                  After selling the product Kenstar never bother about product performance. I am preparing to lodge a complaint against them for worst after sales.

                                    I ANAND MALANDKAR PURCHASED STEAM IRON MODEL NO. SI-0603 IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER.THE PROBLEM WITH THE STEAM IRON THAT IT IS HEATING HEAVILY DUE TO THAT SOLE PLATE GOT DAMAGED NEEDS TO BE CHANGED.I GIVEN THIS STEAM IRON TO MY DEALER IN THE MONTH OF JUNE BUT STILL IT IS NOT REPAIRED.THEY ARE SAYIING PARTS WILL COME FROM AURANGABAD.STEAM IRON IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.PLZ DO THE NEEDFUL.

                                    KENSTAR STEAM IRON — Steam iron damaged within warranty.

                                    Hello
                                    I had purchased a Kenstar Steam iron from Das Electronics Aundh. The iron got damaged in first use itself and so we went to Das to get the servicing done. Das said that Kenstar will directly provide service to us. But even 15 days after the complaint was done, Kenstar people did not get back to us.

                                      I purchased a Kenstar Water Purifier two months back. The installation engineer told there is one valve missing and he would come the next week with that and fix it.

                                      From then onwards, I have made three complaints - THA [protected], THA [protected], THA [protected]. Service engineers sit at home and write reports saying everything is fine. I am not able to use the product from date of purchase. Warranty period is getting exhausted.

                                      I am totally exasperated. Is there any ethics at Videocon ?

                                        Very bad service, no spares available

                                        Dear Sir,
                                        I have given complaint to replace the belt of washing machine LF0210 Kenstar tumble top. But I got the answer that belts are not available. Same answer I am getting since last 6 months.
                                        Even it's really difficult to reach the manufacturer of this machine....
