Sir,
My name is Dr.Punith K. I am working as a consultant in M S Ramaiah Medical College in Bangalroe. I have been a part of nokia family ever since I started using mobile. I have changed 5 mobiles and all have been nokia. But this time is the worst experience with nokia. I bought my nokia 5800 (IMEI no. [protected]) 2 months ago. Within 2 weeks, there was dusting accumulating between the screen and glass. I went and showed them. Till I went inside everything was working fine. I gave the phone for inspection and after 5 minutes they say the touch screen is gone and they asked me to replace it. Since I did not want to make big fuss of it, I payed Rs.1700 and got it replaced. But the problem did not end there. Dust continued to accumulate again. When I went back, they said it is normal for it accumulate and asked me to get it cleaned regularly. I was shocked to hear the response. I mean I never expected a big company to make such defective phones where dust always gets accumulated. Now, my head phones are not working. I cannot hear from the left piece at all. I went to get it checked. They say I had to give it and they will need minimum 15 days to get it replaced. I mean this is the worst customer care I have experienced in my entire life. Like I am a doctor and with the present swine flu pandemic situation I need my head phone as I receive my calls in hospital only through it to minimize contact and contamination.
The main reason I always buy nokia is for it good quality. With the present experience I surely have switch my brand henceforth. As a last ditch effort I write this complaint to request for help. I cannot be roaming to nokia care shop nor can I use my phone without headphone. Kindly look into the matter. I will be waiting for an appropriate response at the earliest.

I have faced similar problem with one of the nokia models, and well I do not hold nokia responsible, it is our chalta hai attitude which allows the corporate to get away it with it. There have been no reforms in government or Law Enforcement policy in handling and providing quick verdict. Its our own lack of Interest to fight for our right makes it possible. As you are a busy man, though money you spent on the phone is important, but trying to get a solution for this problem through direct channels with nokia or legal channels is more time consuming and hurts revenue as you mis out on your practice so we choose ok money gone down the drain, no point in putting good money behind bad money.

To the distinguished Mr. John Victor & Vinu,

First so called superior race of humans who have finally learned how to use the mobile phones, where so busy with the phone they actually missed out on the most important lessons of life. There is still time for you to learn, adapt and change. But its highly unlikely you'd do it as your head is so far up your that you think that is a space cockpit with instant choco icecream maker. Learn to respect others and specially elders and women.

Second I would say this, if our markets stops buying products from your companies, where will they make their revenue ? All Western markets are saturated and there are only so many phones you can sell where almost every one has a cell phone. Your companies came to countires like india cuz they see a potential for them to make money.

    Good morning sir
    as we all know that nokia has been a reputed company and has been providing quality services over the years.
    but i wouuld like to bring to your notice that i had registered a complaint regarding my cell phone
    model no.-3500c
    product code:-0567037
    it has 3 major problems
    1.the alarm ring is not audible
    2.the bluetooth technology is not functioning
    3.when someone calls up, it is very faintly audible
    it has been sent thrice to the service centre and still it is not repaired
    the job sheet no.s are-090763/5, 090804/6, 090821/8.
    i am thoroughly disappointed with the services in the sambalpur(orissa) service centre.
    i would want you to take some strict actions and since the cellphone is within the warranty period i want it to be replaced as soon as possible.
    I would be greatly obliged if you consider the case ant take necessary steps at the earliest.

    Nokia — Nokia 3500c gets heated up

    I bought a Nokia 3500c mobile on 12th April and observed that the speaker (receiver) gets heated up within 3 to 5 minutes during the first call and within 3 mts for subsequent calls. I am very much annoyed because even after 2 services the situation prevails the same. Finally the Univercell showroom from where I bought the mobile have agreed to send my mobile for replacement (SWAP!). This problem seems to be very common in this handset and it was not told by the sales rep at the time of purchasing this.

    I seek help from anyone who can guide on how to get this returned and get back the money I paid.

    nokia 3500c — Replacement of nokia -3500c

    brought Nokia 3500c phone on 05/01/08 and since then i have given twice that phone for repairing for the same problem.THis time when it again went out of service i asked them for replacement as my phone is a brand new phone with a proper bill but Nokia Care centre flatly refused.

    My query is that if it is justified that if there any 1 in 100's phone is a faulty phone from the beginning itself and the same cannot be replaced with a new handset...

    Where is the fault of the customer...who had put in their entire belief on the authenticity of the nokia Product...

    Cant they accept their one fault...and get it replaced...

    This is regarding my cell phone model no.3500c which was purchased on 3rd of March 2008 from the Nokia priority dealer MM Associates Hyderabad vide invoice no.31757 dated 3/2/08. The instrument developed problems (gets off very often, gets heated up, need to be charged for a longer time and while receiving a call a beep noise comes) and was given back to the dealer for repair on the 23rd of March 2008. The instrument was given back to me on the 2nd of April 2008 stating that there was some problem with the software and it was rectified. The problem continued and the same was returned to the dealer on the 3rd of April 2008 with the same complaint. They said it was sent back to the factory and it will take minimum 40 days for replacement. A new piece was handed over to me on the 5th of May 2008. The new instrument worked normal for 10 days and again the same trouble started. It was given back to the dealer on the 10th of June 2008. I had checked with the dealer on the 31st of June 2008 and was told it will take time till date I haven't received my cell and each time they are giving a excuse.


    Hence I am writing this mail to you so that maybe you would be able to help me out. I went for the “Nokia Brand” over others as it is the most respected one in the market. I have been very loyal to the Nokia Brand but after this incident I am disappointed. I had plans to purchase to Nokia N 70 but I have dropped that plan. This kind of experience with your product & customer care executives has left me highly disappointed. I guess I should start dissuading & discouraging people from going for your brand so that at least, they won’t face such a grave trouble. If it would have happened with some other brand, it was quite acceptable, but all this disappointment coming from a brand like Nokia is a shame.

        This is to bring to your notice that I had purchased a Nokia 7610 Supernova in the monh of Dec 2008.My handset suddenly stopped responding on 1st Aug 2009, the phone was within warranty so i took it to an aunthorised nokia care centre (MAA Communications. B 36 Gurunanak pura, Radhu Palace Rd, Laxmi Ngr, New Delhi)

        After going to the nokia care centre Kanchan Sethi brought to my notice that nokia care centre does not give any data backup and was told rather rudely by her that its not their but the customers responsiblity and duty to take the data backup. As the handset went dead I being a layman i requested the nokia personnel to give me the data back up as i being an entrepreneur had many important contacts in the phone. But they flatly refused to even consider my plea inspite of repeated requests.I also requested them for a standby handset since i did not hav a spare handset on me.Even this request was turned down by Kanchan Sethi.After seeing her non cooperative and rude attitude I asked her to call the branch manager.

        After waiting for 15 minutes Ajay Rana came he was introduced to me as the branch manager.I repeated the whole incident to him but even he refused to give me any assistance with the data back up whereas he assured me that he would give me the standby handset by afternoon next day which till date i hav not received from them.

        This took us around half an hour and inspite of the fact that our concerns were not handled properly we were very rudely told by another personnel named Amit Sodhi whose designation was not revealed to us that it is due to consumers like us that their precious time gets wasted and they have better things to do and asked us to leave.I would also like to bring to your notice that there were others also who were being troubled in the same manner.

        As mentioned above the target delovery date was 14th but till date that is 24th aug 2009 i have not received my handset.I have even registered a complaint with Nokia Call Centre.The staff at the call centre was also very incompetent and after repeated requests was i able to talk to the floor incharge, it took them 28 min to register my complain( complain no [protected])

        So overall my experience with nokia has been horrible to the extent of being harassed and morever have suffered a lot due to loss of all my important business contacts.i would like to be compensated for whatever trouble i have faced, i would like you look into this matter and kindly revert back to me.

        Nokia 7610 Supernova — not giving good services

        i m a regular user of nokia peace i give nokia 7610 supernova peace dt 16.05.2009 invoice no 375 frm micropoint computer & mobile chiplun mobile no [protected] last 2 week mobile on/off switch button was not proper working so i sent this mobile to your custmer care office (SANCHAR SYSTEM )via the shop name (micropoint computer & mobile chiplun mobile no [protected] ) to ratnagiri

        today on 14.04.2010 they said that not available part of this mobile but this mobile peace is in warranty period so i request u please sloved this matter as early as possible when i purchase this mobile pease is RS.11000 so we cannot suffer the hudge amount of mobile pease. please give the follow up & slove this problem on very urgent basis

          sir,
          by mistake my display was cracked and after that it worked for 20 days
          and after that it completely switched off

          i took it to two nokia care centers they didnot serviced, atleast i asked for mobile to switch on it they refused to do it

            I brought a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music from Nokia priority dealer, Balasore, orissa with IMEI No.- [protected] on 23.09.2009 with a cost of Rs.13500/- but the phone was not swithed on after 25 day’s of purchase. It is now under warrenty, I have given this phone to Nokia Care, Balasore, Orissa with a Job sheet no.[protected]/091024/11 on 24.10.2009.They have taken 24 days to repair, and delivered me a old Nokia 5800 with different IMEI no.-[protected] on 18.11.2009, which was not my original 5800.In this phone lot of damages are there with old software version, no free GPS subscription as initially.when I again gave a complain to Nokia care they only updated the software, not given the newer phone.After one day, I found that the phone is restating automatically and after 2-3 times of restarting it is switched off, the displays goes down and switched off any time. Now after pressing the swith on button it is not switching on some times similar to first problem. Again I have given this phone to Nokia care with jobsheet no.[protected]/091125/70 on 25.11.2009.Since it is under warrenty, if Nokia is unable to repair my original phone, they should given me a complete new set with all features as on my initial new phone but they don’t have a rights to give the older phone which has a lot of problems.I want a complete new handset immediately or refund full cost, otherwise go for a consumer case.

                i was facing problem in network the mobile was not catching network
                i went to NOKIA CARE BHIWANI ON 21/7/09 they took the phone n said u will get it in 15 days
                but they returned it in 32 days by no the phone's joy stick and foward camera was not working.
                i told the manager about this he said we are not responcible for this and he said there in no warrenty
                of this phone . and when i asked him for fed back and complaint form he refused to give. THIS IS WHAT NOKIA CARE BHIWANI CUSTMOR SATISFACTION POLICY IS ...

                  As i had brought my N73M around 8 month back and it had started hanging frequently as well as the camera picture quality is not coming good as it has 3.2mp,
                  it sometimes hangs in such a way that you have to take out the battery otherwise you cant even switch off the mobile.

                      my daughter purchased a mobile phone nokia 7210c item no[protected], lot number [protected] from from her hard earned money on 1.08.09 from spice retail limited, saini enclave delhi( consumer id[protected] . the phone went out of order just after a week. the seller refused to entertain and asked her to go to nokia care. there the phone was set right but it stopped working wihin six hours.
                      she has lost complete hope and really depressed . she never expected to belet down by a brand NOKIA.
                      she wants to get rid of the phone out of the disgust and the betrayal by the service and the quality offered by NOKIA and spice retail.
                      How can we assist her to regain her confidence .
                      she wants to move to consumer redressal forum also and take up the issue for educating others .
                      please advise and assist .

                        Hello,
                        I purchsed the mobile E63 in feb 2009 from Wireless Communication, salt lake, kolkata.
                        Just after 3 days of purchase mobile got restart automatically.Than geeting swithd off also.
                        I have taken 3 times to store but no result.Same issue is repeated. Once as per suggestion changed my SIM also .It worked for 30 days.Than again the issue ie repeated.
                        Please suggest what to do?

                        Its normal because I have also E63 and I always experiment with my E63. Generally I had tried the hack the phone in many ways...how to install most of softwares on E63 etc. But its a default problem in Nokia, most of all phone hang or freeze whatever they are N97 or E63 or 1100 or 6600 etc. There no need to worry.
                        I have the same complain ... I purchased it from about 2-3 months and it happend 3 times till now .. ! Plz anyone can feed us back ?
                        hi i have a problem with my E63 also. whenever i am playing mp3 songs, running for about 30 - 40 minutes. it always restart. i don't know what the problem could be though.
                        I have a problem too my phone auto restart when I change the Sim card then it will restart by it self then when i take out the sim card the it wont restart it self please please help me

                          Dear Sir/Madam

                          this is to inform you that on 11th Aug 09 I hav purchased Nokia 6208 from Mobile Store, South Ex- with an offer of vodafone sim card woth 100/-. But AS LATER ON I inserted my MTNL sim card in the hand set the set was not accepting my sim card. But the set is accepting other sim card like vodafone n idea. AND my MTNL SIM CARD is working in any other set.
                          On 18/08/09 when I went to the mobile store from where I had purchased my set initally they refused to to attend saying show it to your MTNL office or go to nokia care. This was really very disguisting with out using the for a single day why should I go to Nokia care after paying such a dear amount. After 15 min of argument they so my set and asked me to go to Nokia care saying we can't do anything.
                          When I requested them to replace my hand set they refused me saying 48hrs of replacement time is over.
                          This ws again to my astonishment that this 48hrs of replacement policy they didnt inform me at the time of purchase and they themselves have aggred to misguide me.
                          On 20th Aug Ishowed my handset to Nokia care Lagpat Nagar. They suggested me that the hand set will go to the company and then only I'll get my hand set. But without using the phone for a single day and I return the phone to the company there no fun in purchasing a brand new phone after paying such a great amount.
                          This is my request to you that kindly replace my set as soon as possible. As Im using Nokia set by the past 6 years I dont want to loose your brand equity.

                            One of my relative work in your firm in Mobile repair service city india ltd.
                            A-27, mohan corp industrial estate
                            & has been working there for last 2yrs.They were placed at a package of 2.5 lac/annum of which, were paid a small part of promised amount during training period, and on asking they were told that their salary would be by the promised amount as they would become permanent but this matter was never sorted, and moreover they are asked to work more than the actual time.Now because of fear of being expelled in this period of recession they are not daring to complain this matter to higher authorities, directly.
                            So, i request you to please have a direct look & check on the matter, without involving the officials in that centre.

                            i am using nokia 5300 mobile IMI [protected] i have a problem in my phone on 5300 when im open confurations setting add personal setting so they give cannot add memory full what will i do sir my phone memory is free 3.4 mb so any idea abt it.i think 10 access point is avalable but i cant see in the default confurations setting .i am see in the connectivity---packet data---packet data--active access point. but i acnt delit it so sir how can i delit it plz help me.

                                Dear Sir/Madam,
                                I was owning a nokia 6500s from the past one year. One fine day i spoke on the cell and when i picked up my cell to call it was dead.I tried a lot but it didnt start, the very next day i took it to authorised nokia care centre ( Today Telecom).I gave them my cell and they told me that it is liquid damage and that they will call me and let me know the estimate cost of the repair.I was promised delivery of my cell after 10 days. But I did not receive the estimate for the next 20 days. In between I kept calling them up, they kept on saying it will be done in a day or two.Then since they did not reply me i went and got my cell back from them.Then i took it to another nokia care and they told me that the IC of the cell has been tampered and it is burnt.Now i dont know is it worth bying a Nokia and taking it to their customer care showrooms for repair. My money is gone down the drain as i took Nokia a well reputed company.

                                  Nokia - 5300 — Enhancement Connectivity

                                  This is a new mobile bought in Oct'07. All of a sudden there was an issue with the Enhancement connectivity. When i approached the Outlet, they have taken the handset and given it to Nokia Service Centre (HCL infinet) at Chennai on 2nd week of Jan'08. Being Pongal holidays, told to come back after a week time. Hence, returned with Handset and again given back to them on 21st Jan 08 by the Outlet.

                                  When i enquire, they were saying that they are yet to get feedback from Service centre and there is no proper update on Status too. Not sure what is happening? This has become quite common now amongst Customers, as the customer base has also increased , wherein they are not able to provide any sort of solution , which is hampering.

                                  Let's keep fingers crossed !!! Totally upset on the services offered after sales.

                                  Nokia 5300 — Consumer harasment

                                  I had purchase a Nokia handset (Model – Nokia 5300) on evening of 8th May’08 from M/s Gayatri Enterprises (7-Z Ashiyana Market Govindpur). On 22nd of May’08 Network problem started, on 23rd it was informed to M/s Gayatri Enterprises, in turn it was advised to me to go to Nokia Care Centre. On morning of 24th May I went there and they told me that it will be repaired at Lucknow and I have to wait for 10 days and for the same they took my handset and gave me a job sheet No. 08343506 / 080527 /75.

                                  After 10 days I went there and they told me to wait and come back after 03 days and from then I went there again and again but nothing satisfactory was replied by them but after 25 days they told me that my handset is repaired but I found my handset was in same condition as it was given to them.

                                  On 26th of June I made a complaint to Bangalore and they given me a complaint No. 2 – 34 Z 1 KX but no action was made even after 48 Hrs then again on 28th of June I made a re-complaint and they gave me same complaint number but nothing satisfactory is done yet.

                                  On 5th of July I talked with Shri Vivek Dixit (Mobile No. [protected] ASN/U.P) who gave me a mobile No. [protected] and told me that Shri Sushil is Head of Nokia Care Centre/U.P. I talked to him also and told him my problem then he asked me to give my IMEI No. through message, I did so and he satisfied me that my problem will be solved within half an hour. After that I gave ring on his mobile many times but he did not answered.

                                  I am very much fed up for this kind of response from the representative of Nokia & NoKia Care Centre as Nokia is a reputated word wide firm.

                                  So being a consumer what is my fault. Nobody has responded me up till now. Please solve my problem as quickly as possible otherwise I have to go to consumer forum. This take as pre-notice.

                                  my phone on charging completely went blank, i took it to the nokia care and they charged a sum of Rs.529 and returned my phone after a day. but after 2 days i detect the same problem.Again i took it to the nokia care and again they charged me Rs.120 saying they need to replace some parts. Again after two days when i charged my phone it went blank and i gave the phone back to the nokia care and they said that this time they'll check what's the problem but not charge money, when i went to collect the phone they said then that there is the problem with the battery and i have to change it. Then what is all this nonsense of changing the battery and why couldn't they tell me before hand and instead charged so much money. I'm really annoyed and thus would like to know my what further actions i can take regarding this? Even if my phone battery is defected what gaurantee is there that my phone will work after i replace it? and this is not their scheme of extorting more money from me.

They took it for a couple of days and after replied me saying it is unrepairable. today when i cross checked by saying a mobile repairer to open it in front of me and let me know the defects, i was SHOCKED to be told about the missing chips and their covers. i am very much annoyed of this as i took a lot of pain to reach the service centre as it is far off my home.                                   I have nokia 5300, i went to nokia care 3-4 times, they charged me 220 rupees for the services but they people are not even able to track wats problem with my cell, everytime they use to say that its software problem and I have got it updated it 3-4 times eevn the same problem is occuring...really they are hopeless...let me tell u the problem...my cell get switch off automatically whenever i use to explore any of its options like music player, wallpapers, themes, songs, i don't know wats prolem going on with my cell. sometimes it display simcard registration failure even i could not able to see my contact nos. please do needful at ur end i[censored] can...thank you

                                  Nokia 5300 — fraud in service breaking the parts and also the changed parts break within a hour

                                  they are not at all responsible at all.
                                  they are highly money minded and the are not servicing properly
                                  the break our original parts and asking money for replacement or else saying this is a 2 yrs old so you had to chance your mobile
                                  this is done in authorized nokia care near ashok pillar in chennai..

                                  not only me there where about 10 costumers fighting there.......................

                                    I have purchased new Nokia N73 (IMEI-[protected]) on 29/10/08 from Kiran Gift Centre, 18, Lower Bazar, Shimla for Rs. 29/10/08. From last month i have noticed that the phone automatically swithces off even when battery is not exhausted. I went to Nokia care Shimla and showed the set to Service Engineer; where he said that some type of liquid has gone into the mobile, due to which it is facing hardware failure and therefore it could not be repaired under warranty.
                                    I was surprised, because i could not take it. My phone never came into the contact of liquid. I live in a place where temparature goes above 40 and when we take any call, sometimes we do see sweat in the phone. It may happen that phone has got liquid in this way...But then I would say Nokia phones in this manner are not at all appropriate for hot weather countries like india.
                                    Sir, All i want is to get my phone repaired under warranty, otherwise i will be constrained to take legal action against the company.
                                    I hope company will take appropriate action and resolve my problem at the earliest.

                                    Nokia — Hardware malfunction

                                    Respected Sir/ Madam,
                                    I had purchased the nokia 5130 headset on 3/08/09. In which i found that the back cover (as referred to in your user guide) does not fit in properly. Its very loose and tends to come out very often.I brought this to the shopkeepers notice the day after i got it. He said it would be replaced by the company, however when i approached the nokia customer care centre in dyaneshwar paduka chowk; pune; i was told that the cover needs replacement and that it would not be covered under warranty.                                       I have purchased a nokia handset on 24.2.2009 from the S.D.Enterprises, G 6-7, Manish Chambers, Plot no.15, L.S.C., Saini Enclave, Delhi 92.From the very first day i was facing the problem in this set that sometimes it hangs and while talking on speaker i get very low volume. But due to some work pressure i couldn't go to your service center. Day before yesterday i went to the shop, they said it's not our job you contact to cust care. Then very next day i rushed to Cust care and waited there almost an hour for my turn .there i explained the problem to one of your executive, he told me to leave the handset and asked to replaced the battery from the shop as there was some problwem i8n battery also. Then i went to the shop where they refused by saying that six months are going to over and why didn, t u turned up earlier? Its really ridiculous and harassing.I feel very bad about this exploitation of our innosence by your dealer.I am sending u the copy of bill also. Kindly replaced the battery of my handset.
